Take a step back. >> If you can't even describe what the problem is, then >> Ma'am, take a step can't move back any farther. You have no official identification. >> you know Louis, what's his name? Shmaradovsky? >> that have to do with anything? >> Well, I'm just telling you who I am. I've been in this town for 20 years and as a courtesy, I would like to understand the rationale for them being pulled over and their car confiscated. Isn't it a courtesy? I don't know why it's getting so difficult. >> you should ask your daughter and the driver of the motor vehicle. >> is a backseat passenger as you said. You're making the accusation. And that's shocking. It's shocking that you can't even give me a sentence. >> I think we should conclude this. Thank you for your help. >> You may take them now. >> You may not tell me when to take my child. You may shut up and not tell me when I may take my kids and her friends who are PhD students from MIT and Yale. You may tell me nothing because you've told me nothing. I am the commissioner of the Port Authority and I'm heading up over 4,000 police officers. >> Karen Turner made sure the officers knew exactly who she was when she went to pick up her daughter and her friends. >> Now, don't call me miss. I'm commissioner. Thank you. >> She grew increasingly agitated as the officers refused to tell her why the car was pulled over. >> You may shut the [ __ ] up and not tell me when I may take my kids and her friends, who are PhD students from MIT and Yale. The Port Authority has been under fire in recent years for corruption probes, including a former chairman's bribery charges and the 2013 Bridgegate scandal when political appointees allegedly created a traffic jam on the George Washington Bridge to punish the local Democrat mayor for not endorsing then New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. Alec >> Senior officials with the Port Authority may take action against Karen Turner later today. In a statement to New Jersey's Daily Voice, Turner said, "Quote, I let my emotions get the better of me and I regret my tone toward police officers. For this, I apologize. However, at no point did I violate the Port Authority's code of ethics."
