She is a 25-year-old female and was arrested in Orange County, Florida. She was charged with dangerous excessive speeding, also known as Florida's new super speeder law. She was booked into the Orange County jail and had a bond of $500. Shakari was caught driving 104 mph in a 65 mph zone. She quickly tries to plea with the officers, blaming she had low tire pressure, but the deputy quickly says, "You're going to jail for dangerous excessive speeding." Surprisingly, moments later, off of body cam, Shakari's boyfriend, Christian Coleman, also a fellow Olympic sprinter, arrived in his own vehicle, approached officers, and was arrested for resisting and drug paraphernalia in his car. He later posted a bond of $1,000. Then another US sprinter shows up. Anisha Terry was cited for stopping on a limited access highway but not arrested. Shakari now has a court date set in February 26, 2026. What are your thoughts about this arrest? Is this proof that Shakari is just too fast on and off the track? Leave a comment below.
