busting me. >> Maybe you got to >> I don't know. >> Calling mom to complain while being arrested. Grow up. Prison will straighten you out. >> No. >> You're hurting me. You're hurting me. >> Slipping out of handcuffs and resisting the officers. You won't be slipping out of handcuffs in jail. >> A stubborn Russian woman. The jail here welcomes inmates from all over the world. At Law Frame, we reveal what happens when Ego meets the badge. Let's find out. And when extremely [music] entitled Rich Kairens get arrested, starting with the first incident >> me. >> On September 4th, 2023, officers were notified that a car had been obstructing a driveway. >> Hello. >> Hi. I just heard your colleague again. She is piss drunk. You need to >> breath in her car right now. Before she goes, you need a breathalyzer swinging each way as she walked into that car. >> That is a [ __ ] >> Hi, I'm just hold on a second, man. Right. >> What um you've been drinking tonight? Um, I had one glass of wine. Why? >> Uh, somebody just said stated that you may be may be drinking. >> You were swerving. >> I'm fine. >> After realizing the woman was intoxicated, the officer asked her to step out of the vehicle for further questioning. >> I'm fine. Honestly, got to fight with my boyfriend. I just want to go home. >> Well, what's going on? What happened with your boyfriend? >> We were we we were supposed to be engaged and she's been cheating on me with his first girlfriend from like 5 years ago. Honestly, like and I would I'll keep my car here and I'll just go to a lab. >> Okay, just hold on one second. >> This has literally been the worst day of my life. >> Anybody certified feel about it? repeat that or can >> I just get my purse? Did I park in the wrong spot? >> So, let me explain to you. >> Let me >> Okay, let me just explain to you what happened. So, we we got a phone call that your car was blocking the driveway, >> but the driveway's right here. >> Yes, I know. I understand that. But your bumper is overlapping the line of the driveway. >> Okay. So that's why the caller I got I got the coming. Okay. The um the caller notified me that quote unquote you're drunk >> and then check you out. >> Do I seem drunk? No, >> you don't. But I have someone upstairs. >> I have I have somebody coming that that would know. So I have to just double check before I let you leave. >> Hi officer. I'm just trying to leave. I I'm so sorry. I parked in this. I thought right here is like the garage like I'm so sorry >> from the bar >> with my Dr. Lea father the mayor of Sat River. >> However, she became increasingly uncooperative refusing to perform the field sobriety test and instead insisting on calling her father. I'm >> Britney. Okay, Britney. My name is Officer Royal. I'm going to be dealing with you today. Just letting you know where we record audio and video. I have to do a series of >> test, but I don't understand why because I'm not even in the garage like parking. >> So, just hear me out real quick. The reason the reason why the officer had me come here is because technically the car was on while you were sitting in the vehicle. I understand you weren't the the car was on according to the officer that was first on scene. So, I just have to do a series of tests. You passed a series of tests, then you could be on your way. >> My father's a doctor. He's going to be coming. That's perfectly fine. I just need to do a series of tests based off of the observations. >> My My mom and dad said I don't have to. >> There's no reason why I should. >> I mean, you could deny it. It's up to you. >> I deny it. >> Okay. >> So, you're not going to conduct the field test? You you understand that you're >> Please put dad on the phone. >> You understand that if you do if you do decline the test, we have to go off of our observations and your statements that you did admit that you were consuming alcohol today. >> I Dad, what >> they're trying because my car I'll send you a picture is blocking a little bit. Not even the garage. And they want to there have 1 2 3 4 five cops here. Yeah. trying to say I don't know. >> Miss, can you just put your shirt up a little bit? Your um Where? There you go. >> Um what's your father's name, sir? Can you hear >> Dr. Lee? >> After the officer spoke with her father and she realized the situation was not going the way she wanted. She then demanded to speak with a lawyer. >> This is officer Royer from the Hoboken Police Department. Um the reason being that I got requested. I'm a certified field sobriety officer. the initial officer on scene. Um, your daughter was in the vehicle and it it was it was on. It is properly parked. It's slightly in the driveway a little bit, but nothing out of this ordinary world, but due to the initial officer, she admitted to drinking today while the vehicle was on, which is why I'm literally I got requested to come to the scene. >> I got a question for you. Does that mean that she was driving it? So when the vehicle's on, it's technically op being operated technically through like the state law. So I just have to do a series of tests. If she doesn't want to, that's perfectly fine. She has her own right to do so. She doesn't have to if she doesn't want to, but we're going to have to go based off of the initial officer's observation. If I conduct the test and she passes, she gets to go on her merry way and we buy. >> How do I know you don't just like like make me >> But I'm just explaining everything. >> It's a car. >> I want my lawyer. >> It was It's parked properly, but it's partially in the driveway, which was the initial call in the first place. I was not the initial officer on scene. >> I was not the initial officer on scene. I only got requested here because I'm a certified officer. Again, I was not the initial officer on scene. At the at the at the end of the day, I you know, I could do the series of tests and if she doesn't want to, that's perfectly fine. But I do want to explain everything because then it's going to go based off of the initial officer that was on scene's observations on how we proceed forward. That's the only thing I'm like that I could be able to explain cuz again, I was requested to come to the scene. >> Well, she decides not to. I mean, she wasn't driving. I got out of the car crying cuz my boyfriend cheated. >> Okay. >> What is going on? I just want to leave and go to my family's house. >> I request my lawyer. >> Okay. What's wrong? >> So, I'm just explaining to you because I know you. She's upset and I just want to explain to the best of my abilities. If you have questions for me, I'm more than willing to answer those questions for you to the best of my ability. >> If she refuses to do the test, you can arrest her. Uh, it would be based off of the initial officer's observation. It wouldn't be my my actual call. I'm just here to be a certified officer to conduct tests. If she doesn't want to, that's not my my like that's not my call cuz I wasn't the initial officer I've seen in regards to the observations that he observed for me to even respond to this location. >> I was crying in the car. The car was not on. >> Your father wants to speak with you. >> Dad, I was crying in the car. The car was not on. All right, I'm going to call I'm going to call. Are you going to tow the car because it's What do you >> We're going to tow the car because it's >> it's legally parked. >> Like I said, I'm not that that's not what I came here for. >> I don't understand this. >> I explained and I explain to your father going to come pick me up. I'm I refuse any test. I'm calling my lawyer. This is not a test. How do you guys want to proceed forward from here? >> I'm calling my my lawyer. here. Excuse me. My father mayor here. >> I already spoke to your father and you know I've been respect again. Can I speak to the officer again, please? >> Go ahead, sir. >> Are you Are you towing the car? >> No, the car is legally parked right now. Like I said, >> I can go pick up the car. Correct. >> If you want to pick up the car, that's perfectly fine. Literally, it's maybe a maybe an inch into the driveway, but like I said, I wasn't the initial officer for this original calling. I'm the certified officer that conducts the location. >> Okay, I'm going to come down and pick up the car. >> Do you have the location of where the car is purpose? >> It's going to be right across. Can you pick up your shirt? Your the other side. I'm just trying to be cognizant cuz you're a female. >> This is like I don't understand what what's going on. >> Despite repeatedly resisting and calling one person after another, she continued to refuse the sobriety tests. >> Understand, man? Is that >> No, I don't. I'm going to explain it to you. >> He's the boss. >> You're in a vehicle, right? The vehicle is on. You're in the driver's seat. That is operation of a motor vehicle. >> By law, that's operation. So, >> my car is not on. >> Does it doesn't even have to be on. If you're in the driver's seat of that vehicle, that is operation. Once you enter the vehicle, you're operating that vehicle. Now, you admitted that you were drinking earlier to the officer. Okay? So, now based off that, he he's requesting an officer to come and do field test for you. If you listen at 12 a.m. yesterday, I'm in the medical field. >> My family has five generations. >> So, you haven't had a drink today? You said you drank last night. >> Yes. >> So, why would you say you drank earlier? >> Did I? >> I asked you if you were drinking for that. >> I said I was at City Beast show. I said I I got into a fight with my boyfriend. >> You also said that, >> right? I just wanted to I said, "Let me go to Willow." >> Okay. But you have to Okay, so this is what I'm getting at. You admitted that you were having drinks, right? He was crossing a field try to also come conduct test. If you refuse it, which you can, you can refuse the test. >> But now we have to go based off our observations, your admissions to drinking, your slur speech, >> what >> your appearance, >> your unsteady unsteadiness. It's not good for you if you if you don't do something. >> Excuse me. I no I there's cameras here >> we're our body cameras are uh >> I know I know my rights I'm not >> and I'm not and you are within your rights to refuse but like I said then we have to go off our observations. >> We're going to ask you one more time. Are you willing to >> I need to speak to my lawyer. >> Okay. Well, I'm going to ask you are you willing to uh conduct the field test with this officer? Say yes or no. Hello. Ma'am, >> I'm sorry. >> All right, I'm asking you a question. Are you going to be willing to conduct the >> M is not calling it? I can see it from right here. >> Sorry, >> but can you just answer my supervisor's question, please? >> If you're willing to conduct the field soarity series of tests that I would be able to conduct today, >> it's a you can say yes or no. >> No. >> At that point, the officer had no choice but to arrest her. >> Can you please turn around for me? You you could put your phone. You could go. We'll be able to >> Can I please just speak to my lawyer? >> She gave you plenty of opportunities. >> No, you didn't. She even said you weren't. >> Miss, you got to turn around and put your back, please. >> Please put your phone um behind your back. All right. >> Mom, you're arresting me. >> You got TO >> I DON'T KNOW. >> Please stop hurting. >> We're not hurting you. Stop resisting back. Okay, >> remember everything. I'll talk to her. >> Just relaxing her. >> WHY? >> WHY? JUST BREATHE. >> WHY? >> What am I being arrested for? >> Well, I'm talking to you. >> I am. >> But I wasn't. >> Like I said, you're in a vehicle. You're operating. >> No, I wasn't. >> All right, then. You can argue that. >> You have to. No, I wasn't. >> Okay. Like I said, you could argue that in court, but you're in the car. your front driver's seat. That is operational running. >> No, it wasn't. Do you have video of that? >> Yes, we have body cameras. >> Good one. First off, >> I'm just trying to double up. >> Yeah, I'll do >> We're past that point. We We also get the opportunity and you chose not to do it. >> I have to talk to my lawyer. >> That's fine. You can do that. But you still have to >> No, but I have to talk to my lawyer before. >> Okay, that's fine. >> Can you just grab her glasses? >> Glasses. She was then escorted to the patrol car and transported to the police station. >> Miss, can you follow me, please? >> Where's the Where's the keys in the car? >> Where's the keys in the car, man? >> Mom, >> are the keys in the car, ma'am? >> Mom, >> she was she was going to drive. >> No, I didn't refuse. No, I didn't. >> I don't even ma'am. >> I didn't refuse. Just let me do the surprise. >> We're past that point already. >> Come on. >> You got to go inside. >> Come on, man. Inside. >> Please stop resisting and please slip into the vehicle. >> Everybody has an opinion, and the people who left comments below this video are no different. Alcohol and stupidity are a bad mix. She can't even comprehend why she isn't above the law. She's so intoxicated. She has no idea why they're arresting her regardless of how many times they explained it's not about how she parked. The bystanders were clearly fed up. But did their intervention actually make it worse? I want to hear your logic below. This Karen was accused of careless driving, refusing to submit to a chemical breath test and driving at the same time intoxicated DWI. all of which have severe legal repercussions, including fines, license suspension, and perhaps jail time, depending on the specifics and past crimes. The lesson is that driving while intoxicated and refusing lawful tests can lead to additional charges and serious legal consequences. And then she swiped her card too fast and it didn't go through. So then I asked her one more time to swipe it again. And that's when she kind of started getting I rate. She told me that we were trying to steal $40 from her for a salad and kind of just like caused issues. I wouldn't say that she was like disrespectful or anything or like coming at me or anything. She was just like irritated with the situation. And then I was just trying to make nice conversation and she didn't not want to do that. And then the car thing happened and she told me to take the money off and she just got more irritated. >> So none of those cameras work. Stay on your stronger leg. That's >> I don't know. >> All right. So when I tell you to begin, you're going to lift your foot up, whichever foot you choose, approximately 6 in above the ground. You're going to point your toe and you're going to look at your foot and count it out loud. One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi, four Mississippi, five Mississippi until I tell you to stop. [laughter] >> Cool. >> Okay, that's fine. >> Yo, do you got um do you have your watch? >> Yeah. >> One Mississippi, two Mississippi. >> Put uh 30 seconds. >> So till so 10. >> No, I'll tell you when to stop. Hold on. >> All right. Well, I just have to put you in handcuffs and I'll do this. >> Here. Come on. >> Wait. >> One second. Yeah. We're going to go over there. Okay. >> Hey, GA. Listen to me. >> Sorry. Okay. clear. >> Can I go now? >> Not yet. You're right now. You're being arrested. Okay. Do you mind if I go in and grab it for you? Right here. >> I grab this one in my pants. Yeah. >> All right. Okay. I'm going to take that out. Okay. >> Okay. Can I please talk to my boyfriend real quick? >> Oh, you want to go over real quick? >> He's throwing up. All right. >> Watch that throw up. He's throwing up. >> You're stepping in his throat up >> and your glasses just fell on your throat. >> Hey, can you please tell your mom right now? Call her, please. Giana, come on. >> Let's go. Let's wrap it up. >> Man, you got to throw up all over your shoes. >> Giana, this way. >> All right. Going this way. >> Stay right there for me. Okay. >> That was all that was in your pockets. >> Yeah. >> All right. Back up for me. All right. Good to see you in there. Okay. This is a ridiculous situation, isn't it? These younglings have no idea of what the necessary papers and DL required to operate motor vehicle are baffling. WTF? You learn your ABCs at the age of two. And this girl, this is our future, people. This Karen was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle after underage alcohol consumption, driving recklessly, driving carelessly, failing to wear a seat belt, driving without a license, failing to have an inspection, failing to have a driver's license, and driving in designated lanes while making unsafe lane changes. This case demonstrates how trying to conceal driving while intoxicated, underage, and without a license simply makes matters worse. What do you think about these situations?
