All right, everybody. I'm Sheriff Lamb. >> I'm Frank Slope. >> And this is Friday with Frank. French fry day, where we also we review body cam videos with Frank and >> and we eat French fries. >> French fries. >> Today we got some I don't know if you guys have this in the East Coast, but out here we got Jack in the Box. And today we got some uh regular French fries. >> We got some curly French fries. >> I like curly fries. >> I like curly fries, too. and some more regular French fries. I'm going to throw you some ketchup, too, here. And we're going to uh jump right into our first video. This is going to be a fun one for us. Um cuz it's a little bit different, but this is a the worst way to greet a cop on a traffic stop and I'm sitting next to the master of traffic. >> I've uh I spent a lot of time standing at driver's side windows. So, >> this one's interesting. I think you're going to like it. Let's go. I am not going to you provide the documents if I did not commit a crime. >> That's fine. >> On April 20th, 2025, an officer stopped a vehicle for having an obscured license plate. >> What did I do, man? Are you stopping me because I'm a trans woman? >> Whoa. >> Okay. First of all, I'm officer trans with the Orlando Police Department. Do you have your license or registration? >> So, you're a dude? >> That's a man, man. >> Man, >> uh, do I have to give you this? What is the infractions I did? >> That's not how this works. >> Give me your license and registration and proof of insurance. >> Give this to you. I want to know the reason why I stopped. >> As soon as you provide the documents I've requested, no ma'am sounds like this works. >> I've had this conversation. >> I'm at the last >> and I didn't do nothing wrong. >> Nothing wrong. >> Okay. >> Okay. You just hit me because you saw my face. >> Ma'am, I've never even met you. >> Okay. >> I don't know who you are. Do you have your license? >> Ma'am is a bit of an exaggeration there. >> Ma'am is definitely an exaggeration. >> That might not I don't I mean, think about driving around all the time and anything that happens. Your go-to is it's cuz I pretend to be a chick. >> Yeah, that's it. That's it. This is why there's nothing else. There's no You couldn't have possibly done anything else wrong. It's just that you're playing makebelieve for your daily life, >> which they use this folks like this is this is their go-to all the time. And I love it that she's saying, "Hey, look, I'm going to tell you what it is as soon as you give me your license, registration, treats it like a typical traffic stop." Cuz this would have thrown me off if I'd have walked up and saw a man like, "I'm a Did you stop me because I'm trans?" >> No, sir. We stopped you because you committed a traffic infraction. Um, but I mean I've had this conversation on the side of the road of, "Hey, I want to I want to know what I got pulled over for." We're under no obligation. No. And I think California that I know of is the only state that requires that that an officer tell you. Um, besides that, and I'm I'm I'm pretty sure it's not in North Carolina. It's definitely not in Arizona. >> No. And >> I'm I think the curly fries are better. >> The curly fries. If I go to Jack in the Box, I always get curly fries. I know. >> Let's check this out. You're going to be surprised because this he she he is a doctor. >> She said that I'm not sure that I would want uh this to be my doctor. >> One more time and then this is going to go a completely different way. >> Going to arrest me. >> Yes. >> If you would refuse to give me the documents I've requested. Yes. We're going to go down that route. >> What is my infractions? I will give you. >> That's not how that works. >> No. That's how exactly. >> This is my traffic stop and you are not going to dictate how this is done. >> Ma'am officer. >> True. I am not complaining about you stopping me. I am asking you my right to know why you have stopped me. What is my instruction? >> Let me explain to you three times now. >> I am not going to >> once you provide the documents if I did not commit a crime. >> That's fine. >> Period. >> Okay. >> Civil infraction. Yeah. >> Discriminating on me. Okay. No. >> There's nothing about this is discriminatory. that officer. >> I'm the very >> And I'll tell you what, I I've seen it where people walk up. How often can you truly tell who's sitting in the driver's seat? >> Hardly ever. >> Oh, absolutely. >> In a car like this where there's really no windows to it and she must have had her windows up. >> Um, you can't see these people or he >> No. When you got a big old headrest there, you you know, and you're behind it looking at a license plate, you don't even care who's driving. Absolutely. Who's driving the car never ever makes a difference. It's just the vehicle. >> And I I called her she, but it's really a heir. >> Okay. >> And I'm going to call Betty Meer right now. >> Why we're speaking? >> Okay. >> The mayor. >> Why do you have three different licenses? >> Did I just Did you just say what I said? >> I didn't actually. >> You didn't? Because you don't care. See, you don't care about people. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> I'm sorry you feel that way. >> No. >> Can I see your other ones as well, please? You cannot. >> It's a crime to have more than one. >> This is not a crime. This is my man license and I'm not going to give it to you. >> Okay. >> Do you have the registration and proof of insurance as well? >> This is by body cam watch. >> First of all, I'm a doctor and I I earned that because I study antiviral physics. >> No one cares what you officer shot in the chest and I regret it since I met you. >> Okay. Think out of this. A a doctor regrets >> saving somebody that was shot in the chest because she got pulled over for a traffic infraction. >> Imagine being so emotionally unstable that that's your reaction. I'm sorry you feel that way. >> I did not do nothing. Okay. >> You just stop me because I was low starting on the red because the guy was telling me that my my tire is leaking. >> Okay. >> Another problem is she pulled over into the center. >> Yeah. She didn't even pull over off to the right. >> I hate the left. Okay. >> I hate it. I hate being in the meeting. >> It's a temporary permit. Yes, it is a registration. [Music] >> This is a temporary permit receipt. >> The registration comes from the tax. >> Why are you doing this to me? >> It comes from the tax collector's office. >> Why are you doing this to me? I live right there. >> Okay. I own a condominium on Fair View. You make me shaking you my boots for nothing. I commit it. Please stop it. I'm asking you please on my knees. Stop it. >> I also got a supervisor. Please never >> you know just just for your record. I'm coming from my husband which is dying. Just for your record. >> Okay man. I'm sorry that I am out of my mind. I don't know if you have a husband or or a girlfriend or whatever you have but my husband is dying and it's not a lie. Okay. Amen. >> And this happened two days ago. He's on life support. Fing recipes. >> Okay. Well, again, I've asked you three times for the registration and your proof of insurance. >> Okay. Do you have your proof of insurance? >> I do have my proof of insurance. >> Okay. >> I have never been stopped in my life. This is my first. >> My first time. Check my records. >> Okay. >> Well, you're obviously not good at it. >> I have five cars. >> This is another misconception. People think that just because we pull you over that we have your complete driving history that we know every time you were stopped and for what it was stopped for. Everybody says the same thing. You can see on your computer that I've never been stopped before. >> No, no, we can't. I can't. Maybe here. Maybe maybe in an individual agency. >> Um but besides that, you know, if you got pulled over in Peoria and we're down here in Panol County or you're down in Tucson, they have no idea. >> They have no idea. Yeah. >> If you want if you want to follow me, please. >> I'll follow you anywhere. >> No, man. >> I don't even want to stand here with you. >> I stop in our condominium all the time at night. >> Okay. >> We give you permission to stop in our condominium. Fairground. >> Well, you continue to look for those documents and uh I'll be right back. >> Okay. Well, >> unmarked. Nice. >> As you can see, the tag is flipped up clearly indicating that there's no way to read the tag. >> N there it is. >> Good stop. This is out of Missouri. >> Great stop. >> I gave my driver license. >> Okay. But at no point does it say that we're required to explain anything to you about the reason for the stop. >> Hey, that's weird. >> Like I've said that. >> Ask why did you stop me? >> Well, that would be an explanation, right? >> Well, why did you stop me? >> I just told you three times your license plate is tucked up into your Mercedes symbol. >> Okay. So, that is what Yeah. The Orlando Police Department stopped a cardiothoracic surgeon on his way from the hospital. >> Boy, talk about a sense of entitlement. >> Yeah. >> How do we know where she's coming from? Which I don't even know because this is >> I'm really confused on this. >> Yeah. >> So, >> three IDs, too. >> Okay. >> Are you the supervisor? >> No. No, I'm not. >> This is horrible. >> My first time in 62 years. I'm 62 years of age that you ever stopped for no reason. >> No reason. >> That's not true. >> Absolutely not true. >> Ship from from >> and for no reason she stopped. >> Okay. >> No reason. She didn't give me any reason. >> All right. The super >> She needs some curly fries. >> I blew I'd be happier if I was ate curly fries all day. >> I killed those by the way. >> I know. >> Those are delicious. >> Curly fries are one of my favorites. >> Jurassic card surgeon. at Pantel. I'm on call and I've been call from the hospital. My patient is dying. I need to go. >> All we're going to do is >> uh let me go ask her, >> please. >> So, her husband's dying, her patient's dying, everyone's dying. If you walked in and this was your doctor, what would you do? >> Walk out. >> And she just said that she got a text from the hospital that her patient is dying and that she needs to respond to me. I love it. >> Have to wait. >> Don't care. >> I like it. >> I like her. >> If you're the gal on this traffic stop, >> I'll send you a challenge. Quinn, get a hold of me. [Music] >> At least in Arizona law, there's nothing that says, "Hey, if you're a doctor, you can disregard motor vehicle law." That just doesn't exist. >> Right. >> Hello there. How are you? >> Fine. >> I'm the supervisor. And is that who you requested? >> Do you want to come out and talk to me in private or do you want to talk to your mom? Whatever you're most comfortable with. >> Unfold out of that. >> Got big hands. >> I'm good either way. >> I don't even know. It's my first time in life. 62 years of age. I've never been. >> Yeah, let's talk face to face. It's better that way sometimes. >> Nice boots. >> Good night. >> Are you Wait, are you nights or days? What? >> Are you nights or days? >> Night. >> You're nights still. Okay. >> Yeah, that's me. >> All right. I'll see you, man. >> She's following me from the gas stations or whatever she was. >> Yeah. >> It was a guy, a black guy. >> Okay. >> Next to me, pretty weird, you know, a judge and he he turned and he was scaring me and I did not pay any attention and listen just to be distracted. >> Yeah. He was insisting there was a red light as you know just that's what where she started basically. >> What does this have to do with anything? I don't know. >> Yeah. Okay. >> And um so I put down the window and the guy told me look you're losing air from your tire right there which is much and I I I noticed from the from the takes sure >> it was trying to maybe make a contact. I don't know. >> Okay. Meanwhile, I already been green light, you know, on the things. Maybe I was 15 seconds delayed because the guy was talking to me. I was talking to him. And so, she got upset. I don't know what what the story was. So, I just took off. No speed, no nothing. >> Yeah. >> Very calm. >> And she started to like driving like this close to me. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> And I just pushed the brake. I said, "Why are you?" Cuz you know, she's got an car. >> Yeah. Sure. >> And she just turned the blue light. >> I said, "Me? What did I do?" Right. >> So, I stopped in here and she started to attack me >> completely. >> What do you When you say attack, what do you mean by attack? >> I didn't see any sort of attack. >> Gross. Exaggerate. Officer. >> I thought she couldn't have been more kind and more patient with this man. >> There was nothing that was aggressive about the most aggressive thing in here is that dude's eyelashes. That's where things are getting aggressive. >> Look at those hands. Those are very close. >> I mean, I've got some hands. Wonderful guy. I said, "Amia, what did I do wrong? I I will not tell you. You have to give me wrong registration." Okay, fine. Here's my driver license. Why do you have to driver license? >> No, she didn't do it like that. That is not how that happened. >> Surgery. Okay. Sexy assignment. I don't have to explain that. Sure. Yeah. >> Okay. And I keep it because sometimes, you know, there's my male name. So, there is something noted on the driver on the model that you guys can see. >> Okay. So I said, "That's none of your business why you have to have that. I can arrest you for that." So supervisor because I think you're very aggressive. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Look at how she's trying to talk and pretend like she was the calm person in this situation. >> Victim mentality. >> One lie after another. Victim mentality. >> And now trying to play the system. And the the gal that stopped her was very professional. You know, I know this maybe she stopped me with someone trans. I have no idea. I have no clue. Okay. Well, she stopped me. But the old beast of all this that she got >> she stopped you because your license plate was curled under your temp tag. >> Yep. That's a absolute. Not having a visible license plate is an absolutely great reason to stop someone. And it's not because you're trans. That's right. >> It's because I was just lowing and the guy told me that I was losing air from my tire. I didn't do nothing else. >> Right. Right. But the tire has nothing to do with your traffic stop. Has nothing to do with the reason >> glove compartment because she was insisting put the hands on the gun. >> I'm not I'm not used to this thing. So >> and I understand I have a deep respect for the law enforcement. >> Sure. Okay. >> You didn't show it. >> Okay. As long you can but I'm still >> But I was like he served >> as a man. >> Yeah. >> Is that >> still a man? But >> maybe I mean genetically. >> Yeah, >> biologically >> change those chromosomes. >> No, I was everywhere. I have never experienced this in my life. >> Okay. >> But it is very normal for a sis woman to treat somebody like me this way. >> Yeah. It was like purposely cave tucked right up into that. >> It was completely tucked under it so you couldn't see it >> on purpose. That happens on accident. >> Correct. It doesn't just flap in the wind >> and just magically perfectly get stuck underneath there. Well, maybe I'm the president of the Orlando and this person is treating me like I'm a piece of crap. >> Okay. >> And maybe I'm overreacting. I don't >> You are definitely on the wrong term. So, let me let me let's let's reset it here and just kind of can kind of go back. Okay. So, the reason you got pulled over, I understand it's a new car. You know, you're there's >> you don't have everything situated yet. It takes >> No, I got the document there because you know, car matches in the car. It just arrived yesterday. I just put the gas on So, she wasn't able to see the tag. And if she's anything like me, I have I have terrible vision. So, I have to when I'm when I'm trying to read a tag and I'm behind somebody, I have to I have to literally get on their bumper so I can see. >> There was always a problem. >> I was doing a transplant. I was in Missouri in Columbia at the University of of Missouri. >> And uh one of the fellowship, I got this car, I got to get rid of it. So, I'll buy for you. >> Sure. >> No, I kid. I already promised to car Max whatever. Yeah. >> And that's because I like the car. I always wanted to own one. I I don't even understand what's going on. >> Who cares? What's Who cares where you got your car from? >> They're just wasting time. I thought she had a surgery to go to. I thought somebody was dying. >> Someone was dying. >> The car was shipped. All right. Yesterday, exactly yesterday. Saturday at 6. Well, I don't know. >> I like to play that game. Panda. >> I just can't see. Just I see it. >> All right. Nothing else. I don't want to get hit. So anyway, so I I I don't want you to feel like you were targeted or anything like that. And I think that's how to me that's how it feels. >> She wasn't able to see your tag. That was the reason for the stop. >> Uh you you actually stop with your hand. >> You actually aren't allowed to have more than one driver's license. That actually is >> it's not a driver license. It's is an ID. >> Okay. >> You can have any ID at work. >> Okay. >> Yeah. You're not allowed to have two driver's license. So but if it's just an ID, >> it's an ID. It's a state ID. And I'm not sure, you know, I don't think she was trying to push that issue with you. I think she was just trying to >> say I'm not saying I'm just saying why we have to start this way. I was very nice. I don't understand that. We have different definitions tonight. That >> definitely was not being nice. >> Straight off the bat from the word go, not nice. Not >> straight off the bat said, "You stopped me because I'm trans." >> Yeah, that's not nice at all. >> That's not cool. in mind. So, she's one of our she works uh if she's a tax officer. So, she works in our really bad neighborhoods and stuff like >> she usually deals with a different type of clientele than than someone like you. So, you understand that I mean I I didn't want to, you know, don't we have no place to put our hands here. So, sometimes sometimes, you know, you have to just it's like a it's a habit. So, >> I overreacted because I said, "Well, what the hell did I do?" I did not know that the plate could not be seen. >> Yeah. because I just turned the camera and I just broke my glove compartment because she was insisting I just pull it out. I don't even know what I'm talking about. But then I noticed that basically the the plate went, you know, with with the air. >> That's all. I didn't know that. If I if I would if I would had known that, I would have fixed it when I put the gas on the car. >> Yeah. >> I mean, you know, that's the only thing. >> I I understand. I mean, she's I She's doing her job. She's trying to She's trying to >> She's doing a great job, too. I yeah voice >> comp I'd work with her any day. >> I respect you know >> I understand that you just got >> and I like that she's in a Nissan >> but you also have to see the person >> that's a pretty cool one. >> Okay I mean we can reflection. Yeah I had the spider plate but if you tell me that she's coming from a very tough neighbor I'm from Sicily. I can tell you I come from the neighbor okay where they were killing people like me. But um then you choose your battle. Why stop me and not the black guy that did like a >> care what drivers look like? >> Why she has to stop that guy? >> I hear you. >> Why? Why stop? >> I'll tell us why. >> I just I That just hurts my I I love that she's like, "Stop the black guy." >> Right. Don't stop me. Stop him. >> Oh my goodness. >> I I don't have words either. I just don't >> I don't either. because she doesn't want to be stopped for being a certain way. But she was more than happy to throw somebody else onto the bus. >> Stop them for what they look like. Don't stop me for what I look like. >> No one stopped them. >> Yeah. She stopped. >> Yeah. >> Thanks for dealing with us with me. >> Anytime. Anytime partner. >> So she comes from a tough network. I understand. You know, perhaps minority. Yeah. >> Right. Perhaps they sell drugs and stuff like that sometimes. Yeah. >> Okay. Do I look like I'm the minority that sell drugs? We have no idea. We don't know. We don't know who anybody is. >> I mean, technically, if you're a doctor, you are >> nice. Worst case scale, you might get a ticket. And >> you're and you're going to get a ticket. >> I am in your head. >> Absolutely. >> I might even have stepped out of my normal nonright ticket. >> You would had to call me over to write one. I wrote this for you. >> I don't think I'm No, I'm not. >> I would be like, okay. I would say you may not be finished, but you are finished. >> She tells the cop. >> Oh, yeah. >> Yeah. I'm here. >> Did I say I'm finished? >> No. No. Well, I thought I thought you were I thought you said you had to go, so I was coming out of your >> Well, no. I I just I just I just I just I just cancelled my call. >> Okay. >> I'm going to have a lot of problems, but >> Okay. So, what's the verdict here? >> Uh >> that's why I was trying to come explain >> what what's the citation for? >> Okay. It's a criminal citation. She has to sign it. She has uh the court date is on the bottom. >> Sign where the X is. >> The attached tag is not assigned. So this tag, as you can see, we got a Missouri. This car is not registered. It's an unregistered motor vehicle. This tag is not assigned to this vehicle. You're not the registered owner of this vehicle either. This vehicle comes back out of Wisconsin, not Missouri. >> I just want to car. >> Okay. Well, I'm telling you >> displaying a fictitious plate. No, knowingly fictitious plate. It's criminal here in Arizona. And what else is criminal in Arizona is expired out of state tags is also non they changed it 2322 which is what that is Arizona revised statute 2322 um used to be and probably about three or four years ago they changed it used to be criminal used to be a class 3 misdemeanor and now it's civil right that used to be one of my favorite >> which is a good change >> by the way that's a good change that was a ridiculous misdemeanor you didn't need that >> what my type is telling me >> all right um >> we're going to look distributing parts because you know you're telling me that I stole this vehicle. >> That's not what I'm saying. I did not say the vehicle stole. I said the tag is not assigned to the vehicle. The attached tag that you have on this vehicle is not assigned. >> So which tag is attached to >> not this. It's not registered. There's no tag assigned to it whatsoever. That's what I'm telling you. >> Excuse me. >> So that that may >> No, excuse me. Okay, fine. I agree with you. Uh what's the what's the serial number on that? >> There is no serial number. >> No, this is a VIN. >> A VIN? Yes. Correct. Please let me check with it on time. >> That's That's not the issue. You're not listening to what I'm saying. The VIN comes back to a vehicle out of Wisconsin. >> This guy was never in Wisconsin. >> I'm just telling you what they're telling me. >> When >> I like Frank always says, don't hold court on the side of the road. >> Hold court on the side of the road. This is This is court on the side of the road. >> This is absolutely court on the side of the road. >> When you run the bin, it comes back out of Wisconsin, not Missouri. >> Uh so so >> and it's not ready. >> Excuse me. Excuse me. Mercedes SLKs are being assembled in Wisconsin. In fact, >> oh, surprise across Wisconsin. That's why they manufacture the vehicle. >> Missouri is the tag. >> Yes, but that's the V number, man. >> Look, 10 of 24. >> I understand. >> We are in April of 25. >> The vehicle is not registered. >> That is a criminal offense. You can be going to jail. >> That's fine. >> Take her to jail. >> Take him to jail. Whatever. >> What pod do you put her in? >> You put him in the men's pod. I am. It's right here. >> Well, that's only if >> you want to take me to court. >> It's only if you >> I'm going to follow you. >> Go ahead. >> Please do it. >> You can sign right there. >> No. Please take me to court. >> Ma'am, that's so big. >> I know. >> I mean, like, I've got some If you don't sign this, I will take you to jail. I've never been to jail in my life. Citation. >> Absolutely. >> Since it's a criminal ticket, you're you're by law, you're required. >> Okay, hold on a second. Let's Let's take me to jail. Let's take you to jail. Do it right there. Right there. Take him to jail. >> Let's go. Let's go. Take me to jail. >> Take me to jail. >> If that's the route you want to go, we can go that route. >> Sure. >> I have not done nothing. >> I have not done nothing. >> Do it. >> I like this guy. >> Those ones. So, listen. I'm >> I have not done anything. >> Why did you stop the black guy that was harassing me? >> Are we going to continue? Ah. >> So now the black guy was harassing her, not helping her, telling her that her tire was flat. >> And there's still someone dying in the hospital. >> I'm sorry if you're black and this trans dude wanted you to get stopped. >> I wouldn't know. That's >> This is the good stuff. >> That's it. >> Good for you. >> Are you serious? >> You just said >> you just said put me in cuff. Hey, no. >> Now she wants Now he wants to >> Now he wants to fight. >> That's not how it works. >> Oh my god. Okay. I apologize. Too late. >> Too late. >> Too late. >> Oh, this is this is what I wanted to happen. >> I hadn't seen the end, so this is glorious. It was worth it. I I mowed through my >> I mowed through one and a half. I even ate the the terrible straight ones because I was into this video. >> I was a vessel. I was a vessel. Please, >> I'll sign it. >> Always happens next to you. >> Always happens. Cuffs go on. >> I'll sign it. >> You took the wrong things, man. Please. >> Too late. >> You didn't leave us a choice. >> I'll go around the other side. >> I love it. Do the pull through. Do the pull through. >> Do you want to be seat belt? >> Sir, please. >> Ma'am, can we talk? >> I I gave you the chance. >> I know. >> Okay. I wasn't as Because I'm a surgeon. >> Can I ma'am? Can Can I speak with you, ma'am? Please. >> The voice is getting deeper. >> Here we go. >> Please hold on. Excuse me, ma'am. Excuse me, ma'am. Out, >> please. >> I'm sorry. >> Don't do this to me. >> I'm sorry. >> Oh, you did this to you. >> You did this to yourself. >> You did this to you. That's right. >> And this is just the repercussions of your own actions. >> All right. So, if you know this police officer, I'd love to give her a coin. >> Absolutely. She deserves it. >> She was calm, but then when she needed to be, she took charge of the situation. He wanted to go to jail. He said, "Take me to jail." And then all of a sudden, >> when if I have the ability to take someone to jail and they say, "Take me to jail." They're going they're going to the bed and breakfast. That's it. >> Did a 180 right away once the cuffs went on. It's like, "Oh, no, no, no. I'll sign it. I'll sign it. What do you mean? Stop this." >> That happens anytime someone's like, "Nope, I'm not going to sign that." Cool. Understand that by not signing this, I'm going to take you to jail. I'm not going to sign it. soon as you put hands on them cuz they're trying to call your bluff. >> You put hands on them, they're like, "Okay, okay, okay." >> Yeah. >> Sorry, that bullet's downrange. That's it. >> Can't take it back. >> Can't take that one back. >> And here's the bottom line. Every video we do boils down to one thing. If you just comply, >> listen, >> he would have got a ticket, been on his way, went to the hospital, take go deal with her, his husband, all that, >> but it would have been over. uh instead going to jail now and uh a lot more problems >> where he needs to go. >> Yeah, >> that's it. >> And the fries. >> Fries are gone. >> I never get the regular fries. Fries are gone. I never get the regular fries at Jack in the Box. I always get the curly fries. >> Curly fries gone. Um there's >> This is what's left of the straight fries. Mu those too. >> So that's it. That is >> fry >> day with Frank. Thanks for joining us with our uh for Friday with Frank and catch us on the next episode. See you there.
