How you doing? >> I'm okay. I just totally got T-boned. >> Okay. Can I have you step it out for me real quick? Where was everybody else that was in the car? >> Nobody else was in the car. >> All right, everybody. Welcome back. We got another video for you. This one comes from Crime Time Cam and it is 28-year-old has no idea she just ended an innocent man's life. This one's probably going to hit a little home for me. I haven't seen it. Let's go. >> On the evening hours of April 1st, 2026, [music] a woman from West Chicago, Illinois was located by police after leaving the scene of a crash involving a motorcyclist, which ended with the man losing his life. >> How you doing? >> I'm okay. I just totally got T-boned. >> Okay. Can I have you step it out for me real quick? Where was everybody else that was in the car? >> Nobody else was in the car. >> Nobody else was in the car? >> Not a single person. >> Okay. So, what happened? >> I was turning left and somebody completely sideswiped and hit tail end of my front right and it flipped. >> Where were they turning from? >> From right here. This road right here turning left and I was turning left as well and I had the right of way. I had the right >> Did you have a green light or a red light? >> light. I had a green steady light and I was coming from that way. Turned left. >> were on Country Club? Or you were on >> I was on 25 or is that 31? I'm sorry. >> Okay. You were on 25 heading north or south? >> It That was south. >> Towards St. Charles is south. Okay. >> I was heading to 25 this way. >> You were on Country Club? >> And as soon as I did, they swiped my right front end. >> Okay. And where were they coming from? >> From right On this road. They were going left that way. >> They >> left? >> Correct. >> So, you were turning left onto Country Club from the south on 25? >> this way. >> Okay. So, you were What? This is Country Club, though. >> Okay. >> So, give me a second here. >> Okay, I'm sorry. I'm I I'm so frazzled. I finally just got off the phone with the police officer. I'm like shaking up. >> So, that could be an issue, too. If she says she just got off the phone with her sister, question is was she on the phone? Was she distracted when this happened? >> No, ma'am. It's 10th Ave. >> This is Route 25 going up to Dove. This is Country Club. You're trying to make a left onto Country Club, which is this road right right here where my squad car is parked. >> So, right here is 25, correct? >> No, this is Country Club. >> And this is 25? >> 25 is over there. >> Okay, so then I may have the road names wrong. However, I was coming from this road. >> Okay. So, you were on Country Club. >> I was on Country Club. I was turning left on this street light. I had the >> The street light is over there. >> Right here, sir. >> There's not a street light here, though, ma'am. >> Sir, that's a street light. >> Those are my squad car lights. >> No, the street light right ahead of that. >> There's not a >> Ahead of the squad cars. >> The street light is over there. So, she doesn't really know where she's at. She doesn't really know how far she drove or what happened after it. >> Right. Okay, I'm sorry. I am turned around. >> Mhm. >> Up there, however, I was coming straight that way. I come turning left >> South on 25 turning left onto Country Club. >> Sure. >> Yes. >> And this person was coming straight this way turning left that way. >> You know, was it a car, a bike, a person? Or >> an SUV. It was a dark-colored SUV. >> And they were on Country Club. >> They were right here and they were turning left that way. I was turning left this way. I had the steady green light turn left. They sideswiped my front right end. >> green light? So, like just a green circle? >> A green circle, yes. And they had >> How'd you end up down here? >> When I got sideswiped and T-boned, it completely threw my car off. My tire got flat, my front front right end tire and totally veered me off into here. I was holding on for dear life. Just >> Go ahead. >> I'm about to scream. I think you know I'm in distress. I did call 911 the dispatcher and she said just stay put. They're >> So look, accidents happen and that's why they're called accidents and and sometimes people get hurt and sometimes people will die from accidents. What matters is is if you're under the influence, that is when it's be goes above and beyond an accident and then there's some criminal liability there. >> They're going to find you. They got my license. >> Did you come to a stop at the intersection? >> I did. >> Okay, then how'd you end up over here? >> Again, when I turned left, I got my front right end right end to completely swiped. >> Yep, and you came to a stop? >> I was at a stop before I turned. >> Okay, so after you >> Once I turned, she completely slammed into me and then my tire flattened and I >> come to a complete stop after the accident happened? >> I do not know. I couldn't. My car was completely veered in. I couldn't even halt until I came to this >> That doesn't make sense. Now look at her face. She's starting to look around. Covering her breath, covering her eyes. These are all things that are starting to be, you know, indicators that there might be some um there might be some some impairment here. >> Hit you? Can you describe it to me? >> like a hatchback looking situation. >> Okay. Can you describe it to me? Don't remember? >> Darker colored like a SUV or hatchback. I do not know, honestly. She was so excited. I saw her breathe. What's that? >> Did you see the other driver at all? >> I did not, no. I saw the car for a brief second and right before I was getting into the ditch. >> So, something about me, I love a good snack. And frankly, I love chips. But the problem with these chips nowadays, there's like 40 ingredients in these things. There's like seed oils, artificial flavors, a bunch of mystery chemicals. Who knows what's in them? And frankly, when you eat them, you don't feel good after. And the taste is honestly gone downhill. That's why I love Masa Chips. I love these things. Not They're made with three ingredients. They're made with organic corn. They're made with sea salt and 100% grass-fed beef tallow. Uh some of my favorites so you can get all of them. You got churro, you got a bunch of them. I'm digging the lime and the habanero. Love them. And if you feel like you need a potato chip, you can also get their Vandy Chips. These things are delicious as well. They don't have all the ingredients, but they don't miss out on the deliciousness and the crunch of the snack. I love it. So, make sure you go get yourself some chips today. masachips.com/lamb. You're going to get 25% off if you put in the code word lamb. So, masachips.com/lamb. Make sure you get your Masa Chips or Vandy Chips today. You will thank me later. Now, let's get back to the video. Okay. So, you're coming from a friend's house in South Elgin. You were south on 25 making a left hand on a country club. Sideswipe my SUV. I was turning from Country Club onto 25. And they were making a left. >> [snorts] >> So, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. If that car is making a left and you're making a left, it would have been a front end damage or it would have been your driver side. So, how's your passenger side get hit? >> I would say it was more of a T-bone than a sideswipe, but >> But if the T-bone would have happened, it would have been on your driver side. >> I know, but I started turning in and she kept going and we were in the intersection when that happened. >> your driver side against her front end. >> If you say so, but I know what happened, so. >> Okay. And nobody else was in the vehicle when the >> No, not a >> The accident occurred? Okay. And where were you headed to? >> Home. >> Okay. >> I'm going to I'm going to freak out if I don't get there. >> How old are you? >> I'm 28. >> 28? Okay. Hold tight real quick. You may not be going home tonight. Depending on what happens here. >> It could >> Pretty sure they're going to have her out. >> 55 >> Oh, yeah. Um >> I'm >> I'll go through it all. Just keep it here. >> Okay. >> Okay. Have you had anything to drink tonight, ma'am? >> I have not. >> Nothing? >> No. >> Have you had any drugs or any in >> 513, sorry. >> Any substances that would make you impaired? >> No, sir. >> Yeah. >> No, I'm actually I'm actually okay on the hospital. >> Okay. Are you wanting to do field so >> No, I'm not. >> Okay. You're under arrest for DUI. >> Thank you. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> I'll text you later, okay? >> Um Do you want to be checked out? >> No. >> Okay. >> See, she knew. Uh she knew. Look, she Look at the way she responded as soon as they decided they were going to put cuffs on her. >> Okay. >> Hello, 1539. Put your car in park and turn off your car. He's going to be able to see you. >> She's in big trouble. >> 513, come in. We're going to walk this way. >> Okay. Can you grab my phone, too? >> Yes. And we'll come back for it. >> Don't forget >> 10-10, guys. You show one female 95 for 55. Cancel. You have to walk through a broken fence, so >> I'm going to come. >> All right, we're just going to go straight up this hill. Just be careful. >> I mean, how did she end up down here? Or did she just try to get away and then her car broke down. Oh, it looks like she ran through the fence, too. I mean, are they going to tell her that what's what happened? Oh, there's her tire tracks. So, it does look like she just veered off the road out through the fence and down that hill. >> I told you before we do that, we got to take the purse off her. >> Yeah, I was going to say. >> She's She's under the influence. Now, I will tell you she's smart not to do the FSTs, but they're going to pull her blood and find out what she has on her. In her, not on her, in her. She's being compliant. We don't see a lot of those. Half the time these people are acting a fool, going crazy. >> Well, if you change your mind, let me know. >> Okay. >> For the ambulance, you know, we'll have them come to the PD for you. >> Thank you, sir. >> Yep. I'll check real quick. >> good. >> I'm going to get the her phone for her. >> I put the I think it's the keys for the Jeep under the hood. There's one key. >> Up there? >> Yeah. >> The woman was charged with an aggravated DUI, leaving the scene of an accident involving death, and reckless homicide. While the case is still pending, the court ruled that the driver remain in the Kane County jail while awaiting trial, as she was deemed a risk to public safety. >> Man, I wish they would have done that. Let me Let me go two things here. So, my son, the one that was killed, also hit a guy prior to this couple years before, at least. Hit a guy on a a bike and got charged with agg assault. Thankfully, the guy didn't die. It did hurt the guy and my son ended up getting charged with agg assault with a deadly weapon. Ended up actually getting a like 5 years probation of maybe more, seven. Ended up doing some jail time in my jail. Fairly standard. Probably even more aggressive of a sentence for him than normal because the people think he got off easy, but he actually probably got a little harder than normal. So, he did 6 months. He gets out, he's he's doing good, he's clean, he's got his family, he's got his baby and his wife. They go to pick him up from work and somebody under the influence of drugs and alcohol, driving like 80 mph in a 45, hits and kills him. The guy who hit and killed three people, by the way, did not get or he did get released and actually was free for many years. It took over 3 years before they actually convicted that guy of of what he did to my family and now he's serving, I think, 17 years in prison. This is I'm surprised to see this coming out of Illinois, but thankfully, they they did this because she is a danger. She caused somebody the caused somebody a life. So, she should stay in there until the trial. Had the guy that hit my kid stayed in there, it wouldn't have taken 3 plus years, but they're able to draw it out because he's walking free. When they're in custody, they expedite that trial because they either want to get out and be found not guilty or or they want to start their sentence. So, um Yeah, I mean, she should she should get probably at least 5 years. I mean, her driving under the influence, if she was indeed under the influence and then leaving the scene of an accident causing it where there was a death that occurred all of that at least changed her life when changed like that. I think she deserves at least five years maybe a little bit more. Um but let me know what you think. I'd love to I'm I'm I am happy to hear that they kept her in there and she is still there until she goes to trial. Which is going to make this go a lot faster but my guess is is that she's going to end up doing some prison time. So let me know what you think. Comment, like, subscribe. I'll catch you on the next video.
