This one comes from Midwest Patrol and it is Gen Z driver leads police pursuit into a lake. I haven't seen it. Let's go. On August 7th, 2026 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, officers spotted a passenger hanging out of a moving vehicle without wearing a seatbelt and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Oh, they're taking off. Here we go. Now, I don't know about this agency in Wisconsin. They seem to pursue We would pursue you till the wheels came off at this point. He's just blowing through all these stop signs. Watch out, truck. Man, I'm getting nervous for this cop. Blowing these stop signs, too. So, I don't know if this is a new officer or deputy cuz there's two people in the car and I don't know that in Wisconsin you typically have two-man units, but could be. >> Which one's the Gen Z, the cop or the the driver of the other car? Little pucker factor there. I don't think they're they're men. I don't think they're new. She's doing a really good job of calling this out. This is stressful, man. This is stressful. Like, can you imagine being in the car? Now, it's a lot better when you're the driver. You can feel the car. You can feel how how much in control you are not in control of the vehicle you are. So, it's a lot more stressful watching it or being in the passenger seat with somebody in a pursuit. I've been in I've been a passenger and it's a lot more stressful than actually being the driver and in control of the vehicle. knows. So, you're going to have some you're going to want to check them for everybody gets charged here disorderly conduct minor in possession of alcohol or minor consumption whatever their law is out there and of course the driver he could potentially be DUI cuz it sounds like he might have been drinking too. If they're not 21, everybody gets ticket for minor consumption. If um then you do you do you run the driver for the DUI? Obviously the felony flight, endangerment because if some of these kids were under 18, you can turn charge them potentially for endangerment, child endangerment. So, there's a whole slew of charges you can throw at these guys. I was talking to someone on the phone, my buddy in Kenosha. And then I was like, "Okay, bye. And you hear the other cop he's like, "I don't think your haircut's stupid." >> [laughter] >> The guy wants to say something. >> Apparently him, so. I don't know I don't know what we want to do with the passengers. They're freaking I mean I'm cool with them getting a ticket for like hanging out the window maybe, but And that was like only her I think. >> It's you can do them for I don't know if they're over 21, but I'm assuming they're probably not over 21. Hopefully that if they're not, do them for minor consumption, give them a ticket. >> What that dude is you know this regulation This is severe and this is Yeah, that. It's in the water, so I have no clue what it looks like. >> All right, we're going to search it. So looks to me like you have Lake Geneva PD, you got some other city PD, and then you got the sheriff's office. So it's not really their case. I mean they're obviously there to help. They showed up, heard the radio traffic. It's the guy it's the the the initiating officers that need to decide what they want to do and just start going to work on it. These are one of those things this is why sergeants are there. Sergeants typically will show up and be like, all right, what are you doing? And you kind of force them to get out of the U-Haul loop a little bit and start to focus on like what are we going to do here? >> I don't even know where to start with what time of day it is and what to do with the car I mean >> Well, it sounds like it's a a municipal boat launch violation. >> Yeah, that I would say it's it's can wait till tomorrow. >> Yeah, I would assume that. >> I would assume post a boat launch and as long as >> What do we do with all the vehicles? >> I guess Lake Geneva's up to bat. >> Ultimately the driver was charged with four felony counts, three counts of second degree recklessly endangering safety, one for each of his passengers, and one >> And one for that haircut. >> count of fleeing or eluding an officer. He was also cited for reckless driving, operating without a valid license or insurance, failing to obey a traffic officer, failing to stop at a stop sign, and unreasonable and imprudent speed. All four occupants managed to escape the vehicle after it entered the lake and swam toward a nearby pier, where officers helped them out of the water. Two occupants were taken to a hospital for treatment, while the other two declined further medical care. No charges have been reported against >> Dang. >> against any of the three passengers. One passenger, the driver's brother, said the group had been at a house party before the driver picked them up to go to a bar in Lake Geneva. He also said he assumed his brother had been drinking. >> What's his thought process, you know? Like, did he say why he wasn't stopping? >> Yeah, so I don't know. He said because he's 18 and he's never done anything like this, but he said he was going to ruin his life. Oh, and I'm sure he was drinking. And it's like, I told him I was like, "It's better to get stopped and arrested for drinking than killing yourself or someone else." >> Yeah, I agree. >> And he would not listen to me. >> You can ask him. >> Okay. >> Well, cuz he had been drinking. >> You You said you assumed >> His part They're showing his brother ratting him out. >> He was drinking. Were you not out with him earlier or anything? >> I was, but we went to like a little house party. >> Okay. >> I wasn't I was just by myself. >> Got you. >> Not by myself, but I was with the girls. >> Okay. >> Cuz you know, we like to >> Yeah, I guess girls do girl things, I guess. So, he's your your 18-year-old brother? >> Yeah, so he was supposed to be DD because the rest of us were going to the bar. >> Got you. Okay. So, you started at a house party and then ended up in a lake. >> Yeah. >> So, are these kids older than 18 or or 21? Cuz you can't drink till you're 21 unless Wisconsin has different rules. Did you tell him to stop at all or anything? >> Yeah, I I was begging I was on the phone with my boyfriend and my grandma. >> Okay. >> And I was like begging him. I was like, "Cash, please. I'll do anything." And he >> He's on his boat phone with his boyfriend and his grandma? Is this a boy or a girl? >> He was like, "I'm scared. You got to drive." And I was like, "I can't drive. I'm going to stop." I was like, "Just stop." And he seemed like he was about to stop, but then we hit the water. >> After being treated at the hospital, the passenger was later dropped off in downtown Lake Geneva. The driver's bond was set at $10,000 cash. He later waived his preliminary hearing and was bound over for trial. As of the latest available court records, the case remains pending >> Yeah, it just happened. >> appearance scheduled for September 28th, 2026. >> So, he went to he went to uh court just a few days ago, but it just happened on August 8th, so we're not going to know what's happening here. All right. Good job by the cops, you know, chasing this car, not losing them. Um nobody got hurt, seriously hurt. Uh they got the driver. All in all, good job. Uh idiots behind the wheel of the car. Let's see if we can get a few comments in here. See what they think. They hit the water so hard they skipped. That's what I said. It was like a rock. Matthew McCall. I can't even swim when I'm sober. Kid forgot who he was taking or who he was talking to, right? I noticed it, too. Uh the two older gentlemen calmly standing off to the side eating peanuts. Yeah, they were. They've been down the road before. Old lions, you know. Uh stopped them better than spike strips, I guess. Stopped them better than spike strips. Absolutely. This is almost like a grappler. It is like boom, stopped them dead in their tracks. Although, they did go pretty far out there in that water. That's pretty impressive. Uh this is a great example of stupid. Dude chose to potentially kill everyone in the car over a traffic ticket. Wouldn't even have It would have been a traffic ticket, maybe a DUI, probably a minor consumption cuz he's 18. Um Cops almost went swimming, too. Yeah, they did. They got to do a good job of stopping the vehicle before they went in the drink. I wish there was a video of the driver telling his parents what happened. Oh. >> [laughter] >> That would be phenomenal to have a video of the parents. But then again, maybe the parents are part of the problem. Who knows? Sadly, the HMS Jaguar XJR was not seaworthy. >> [laughter] [gasps] >> All right, a few more. The driver's hair is a crime, too. Right? That's what I said, Greg Brown. Um nice. Drove daddy's Jag into a lake. Maybe this will be the thing that finally convinces the parents to actually parent. This parent Good point. Look, kids run astray even with good parents sometimes. So, I don't want to always impugn the parents, but you had two of these kids out here. Um they weren't helping each other out as brothers or brother, sister, whatever it was. Couldn't really tell. Uh lol to be to hear inside that car when they realized they were about to be boating.
