I saw her. I saw the lady. And actually, you committed theft. >> Committed? >> You committed theft. >> What's that? >> What's that? All right, everybody. Welcome back. We got another video for you. This one comes from NY Detective, and it is passenger caught after stealing a $9,000 Cartier watch from TSA checkpoint. I haven't seen it. Let's go. >> On September 9th, 2025, officers responded to the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport after receiving reports of a theft. >> Hello, ma'am. Is this How you doing? I'm Officer Sides. So, what's going on? >> I just kept on my watch and my And I just passed through and then I took it off. >> Okay. >> And now >> It just >> And I realized after half an hour that I didn't take it. But >> Okay, so you've been gone for about half an hour before you realized you didn't grab it. Okay. So, half an hour you Been half an hour since you come through here? >> Yeah. >> Okay, so you might be saying, well, how you going to catch anybody? It's been a half an hour. So, what you would do is quickly you would have them review the video. There's video everywhere. There's going to be video of who might have taken that. You can 30 minutes, she's given you a time frame which you can look at. And then you're going to figure out you can track that with who swiped their passports or their ID and what flight they're on. And that's the way you work this case and try to work it as fast as possible because flights are coming and going or they're leaving constantly out of Dallas-Fort Worth. So, hopefully they can get on this quick enough and catch the guy before the flight or the woman before the flight leaves. >> Maybe the watch is there. But I realized after half an hour. >> And it was this lane coming through lane four? One of the officers ended up putting it up there? Where I lost the pound is. >> Putting it up for you. >> camera right here. >> So the camera to review this. >> Okay. Hey, um yeah, one of the TSA people said they they found it and set it up here on the counter. Uh yeah. And uh and apparently somebody took it. >> I mean a watch like that you just don't want to leave out on the counter. Uh yeah, don't take it off. Like I don't take my watch off when I go through TSA and if I do take it off, I put it in my bag. Um I certainly don't put it in the tray. But you don't even need to take them off. >> If you can see where I'm at. >> First of all, I didn't notice the towel. >> Yes. So I don't know who Hey, who set it up here? >> I did. >> You did. Don't ever do that again. Okay. You just like a watch or something is valuable valuable to set it back here. Okay. Um So Okay. How how what time did you set it up here? You know? >> Like an hour ago. >> Like an hour ago. Huh? Yeah, but but what you got to understand is a lot of people coming through here and if they set something valuable valuable up here No, no, no. No, it's it's no big I mean it's not that big >> defending her. Look, it was dumb. You shouldn't have put the watch up on the counter. He's not wrong. Set it behind the counter really quick. Just say, "Hey, look, somebody left this. I'm going to set it right here. Looks like it's a value." That simple. >> on the bill. It was on the bill. So that's where it should have been taken over here over here. >> I understand. Yeah, I understand. But I mean if you take something of value, just set it back here to have you come back for. You know, so okay, I'm sorry. >> Look at them all looking at. her. Yeah, he's just trying to flirt with Common sense. >> an hour ago >> Thumbs up. >> Okay, she's got to go. Last time it was this morning. She was wearing Did you get all that information? >> Yes, I'm >> I'm going to go to >> So, you have >> Yes, address, license. >> So, you have got the license. >> Okay, yeah. >> address, email, phone >> I'll do that right now. >> Yeah, address and then value of watch. >> Yeah. >> And what's the watch worth? >> This is a gift. She has no idea. >> Do you have a photo of the watch special? >> Yeah, if you've got a picture of the watch, that's awesome. Yeah, I'm going to have you put your your home address in there as well. >> This is the This is the watch. >> Okay. And then it is going to be a a report of theft, so And get the name the name of the watch. Cartier Your report is going to value All right. So, go ahead and put your home address in there for me. All right, so that's the report number. >> So, can I get the last four of that report number? >> And do you have a approximate value? >> Uh I'm not too sure about like 6K maybe. >> Huh? >> 6K to 6K >> 6,000? >> It should be. I mean >> Okay, we just we just need to do that. >> He's like, "6,000?" Now, it's probably more. It Yeah, at minimum 6K probably, but probably more like 9, 10, 11. So, depending on which which model. >> What's the value of it? Cuz that determines the level of law enforcement. So, I mean You know, you can tell me what do you think it might be? And then then we go from there. Okay. All right. >> She doesn't know how to do video on the phone. Tell me Tell me Okay, okay, okay. >> Yeah, it's on up [clears throat] here. Someone came by and got it. >> So, I I Can I Can I go now? >> Yeah. Yeah. You're good to go. Just take that report number I'll give it to you all in, okay? If I have any questions, I'll give you a call or an email, okay? No problem. Thank you. >> Finish your quick. >> He'd be sick. >> Take Alex to Mary just got on board it. You know? >> Not sure he is. >> I'm not sure. >> Okay. All right, we're going to go and take a look. Can he come Can he come to gate 16? >> He said he was last seen at gate 6. >> Good police work if they are able to catch this guy this fast. >> Hey, you call him Huh? If you want to call I'll walk you out to the station. He >> You know right now he's sitting there thinking, I just walked away with a $9,000 Cartier. Just expensive Cartier. He's thinking I'm going to bring this home to my wife or whatever. He's thinking he's in the clear. >> Okay. It's 6:36, okay. Well, we're on the air We're on the airplane right now. So, we're going down to it. So, that's what I was calling about. Make sure he boarded. So, we're going on the airplane now. Okay, thank you. >> Hey, sir. Hey, I'm Officer Sykes at the PD Airport. You mind stepping off the plane? >> Do you think he knows? He's got to know, right? He's got to know he's in trouble. >> You got your bags? >> Go ahead and grab your Yeah, your bags as well. >> You want to talk to him first? >> Yeah. Yeah. >> You know everybody on the planes are with our curiosity. We all want to know, you know, it's like, "Ooh, what this guy do?" Uh-oh. >> We went ahead and set off the airplane and had a had a discussion with him and then we went from there. How you doing, sir? I'm Officer Sykes. Um this is Officer Sykes. Can you tell me what you picked up off the counter at the checkpoint? >> Yes. >> Okay. Is this yours? >> No. >> Then why did you pick it up? >> I tried to find the lady. >> Was it yours? >> Uh I don't know. >> You don't know, but you just picked it up and left. >> I >> You picked it up off the counter. >> He understood, "Can you get off the plane with us?" pretty well, and now all of the sudden his ability to understand the you know, English is is is now all of the sudden not so good. >> But it wasn't yours, correct? >> No, it wasn't mine. >> It wasn't mine. Why did you pick it up? >> Because I say I'm going to give it to the the lady that was there. I didn't find it. >> What lady? So why didn't you take it back to the checkpoint? >> Because I thought I could have give it to the lady. >> But you didn't >> I did it. You didn't know where the lady was, right? >> I saw her. >> No. >> I saw her. I saw the lady. >> And actually you committed theft. >> Committed? >> Grand theft. I guarantee you the amount is probably over it's it's probably going to be a felony amount of theft. >> You committed theft. >> What's that? >> What's that? >> No. >> That's taking someone's property that don't belong to you. >> How about we grab the watch from him because it's not his? Yeah, but he look this is not good for court. You know, he continues to have the watch. He had it in his pocket all of it. >> Yeah, but >> It doesn't matter. >> Yeah. They're right. >> It's up to you. Whatever you want to do. >> They're right. >> They're right. >> We'll put him in cuffs. >> So, what's the reason why did you get it on the on the plane with you? Why not take it back to the checkpoint? >> I didn't take the wallet. I just play I'm going to get I walk around and say I give it back to him when I arrive there. >> You stole it on the airplane. Your airplane is stolen. Hey, your watch is going out at me. >> I have a picture of the wallet that's >> Okay. >> It's all right, sir. >> It's up to you. Whatever you want >> I don't want to >> Well, I want to arrest him. >> I don't need >> Hey, give me the watch. >> Yeah, I don't need to to get a doctor. I got I don't want to say that. I live well. I don't have necessity. >> Look, you can I'll let you go on. Give me your stuff. You got a license on you? >> Oh man. >> They're going to let him go? >> Yes, sir. >> Come on, dog. >> I don't really need to >> I I I get that, but the fact is that >> I'm so sorry. >> You took it off the counter. >> Yeah, I'm so sorry. >> And then you kept >> The playing dumb would honestly irritate me. So, I'd probably say nah. We're going to hook you. We're going to take you off the plane, let the plane go, and get his information, do a long form, which is what we we can submit a long form on felonies, or you give him a citation if it's a misdemeanor. Um I would do that, and then kick him to the curb after. Then he misses his flight. He still gets charged, and let the courts or the county attorney figure out if they want to follow up with it. I don't know if he even lives in Fort Worth or what. >> Yeah. So, you're sorry now because we caught up with you. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> You call me out. You call me by the flight by the >> So sorry. >> That's not an excuse. >> Yeah, I know that's not an excuse, but I try. >> Please don't let him off the hook. I mean, I'm not like you you he tried to steal that watch. >> No, find the >> You shouldn't have never picked it up. That's the problem. >> I'm so sorry. >> All right. So, they say I'm going to get you the gate over there. >> I don't know sorry cuts it. Does sorry cut it for you folks? I don't think sorry cuts it for me. Not this. >> Yeah, I'll I'll Hey. Let me have the watch. We're going to go up here. Okay. I'm going to go get the same girl. We're going to walk up here. >> We're going to walk out. That's the way to go. >> There you go. >> She's going out at 14 at 14. >> Okay, I'll be right back. You good? >> Uh yeah. >> Okay. Hey, hey y'all. >> Good morning. >> Sir, do you remember this pass code? >> Man, how relieved would you be to watch them walk on the plane with your your watch that you thought was gone? >> I get this girl's watch back here. Uh she's on here, so I'll try to find >> Hello. Hey, hey y'all doing? >> Hi, how you doing? >> I'm doing all right. >> I'm looking for a young lady for uh going to watch back for. >> Oh. >> to trace back to the gate that she went out and find her. >> She might be in first class. Or way in the back. >> How did you find this? >> We found the guy that took it. >> Who got >> So, the guy that took it. >> Oh. >> So, in theory you should ask her if she wants to aid in prosecution of this. >> Okay. >> He said he's trying he's trying to fight find you, but that was a lot. So, we're going to >> Yeah. >> The guy who stole it give it to you? Yeah, I understood. >> So, we're we're arresting him right now and uh >> I understood over that. >> Okay. So, >> with long hair, right? >> No. >> No? Okay. >> Older gentleman. So, >> Oh. >> Okay? All right. You have a good day. Of course she did in the back of the plane. Well, we had a guy stole it. So, we found the guy, got it back from him, and took it up here to you. >> Good morning. Before daylight somebody stole her watch. >> Oh, yeah. >> I'm making a flight right after >> Well, what happened was she left in the ticket on the at the >> belt >> at the check-in. >> Yeah. >> So, they found it. They set it on the counter, and then this guy walked by and picked it up. Anyway, Yeah. Yeah, so >> That's some good work. That's some great work. Good police work. >> See, our camera people went found him, so great job. So, So, sorry to her. I I Yeah, but you're you're only apologizing now cuz you saw you. >> That's right. He wouldn't have been apologizing. He wasn't apologizing. He thought he had caught a fat hog and was going to make off with the expensive watch and now that's not the case. He's actually going to catch a fat charge um and not walk away with the watch and miss his flight. >> We got you on the plane. >> Yeah, I I I I say if I don't find the guy around here, I'm going to give it in Boston say, I found this and >> What Why would you do that to Why would you pick it up in Dallas, then drop it off at a completely different airport with people that they didn't come through? I'll cuz say you don't like >> Yeah, but >> I mean that doesn't make any sense though. >> That was my idea. Sorry. >> Well, it was already sitting on the counter at the TSA desk. >> But if you see the the video, you can see that I was looking at the while I was around. >> Sorry. >> I didn't find you. >> But you you can Okay. See that's a great if you then return it to the location that you got it. But instead you put it in your pocket and you got on your flight. >> That was my mistake. >> Yeah? So here's I'm going to I'm going to just be up front with you right now with what what we're looking at. Okay, cuz it the theft that's not a cheap watch. You understand? That watch that you took is multiple thousands of dollars. >> What? >> It's thousands of dollars. >> No. >> Yes. That watch that you picked [clears throat] up is thousands. Okay, but that's what you get when you just pick up property that's not yours. You don't know and then it ends up being something that's awesome involved. >> [snorts] >> The lady who owns it is boarding a flight right now. If we're not able to get that watch for her >> I can send it >> this is going to be a felony. >> I send it to her. >> You're not going to be doing anything with it. You're not doing anything. Okay, we're not giving it back to you so you can send it to her. You're There's a Come on, dude. Play in the real world here with us. And you had no idea who she was. >> No. Not sure. I just found it. I say I found this. >> But even even when you found it, you didn't find it. It was sitting on the TSA desk. It was sitting up on the desk. You walked by. We had video of you just walking by looking at it and then grabbing it. How did you know it wasn't one of the people that were right there in that the area? You didn't You didn't look anywhere inside of the checkpoint to see if it was somebody's. And it just doesn't It doesn't make any sense. It doesn't add up. There's no logic to it. >> Sorry to say. >> No, you're fine. >> No, sorry. >> Okay. All right. >> Yeah, she's got her watch and everything. >> Yeah, she's got it, so she's happy. So, good. >> All right. >> Can you turn around for >> Yeah, go ahead. Go ahead. Turn around. >> Put this down. >> Go ahead. Go ahead. >> Good. Excellent. >> Turn around. >> So, what's going to happen is I I don't think they're going to take him to jail. >> Theft of the watch. >> wrist too much. >> Yeah, make sure to Here you go. Good. Good. >> Phone the mom. >> He was charged with theft of property. Share your thoughts in the comments below, and don't forget to like and subscribe. >> Now, I don't know if Texas is um somebody in the comments may know. There's levels of of theft. It is how high it can be a misdemeanor, and then it can be a felony based on how much it is, and then it can be like a high class, you know, even higher felony depending on if you go over like $25,000 or whatever. So, um yeah, theft of property with intent to deprive because he clearly had an intent to deprive. He can say whatever he wants, but if he truly cared, he would have just left it right there on the counter like the rest of us would have. But no, he tried to snatch it, put it in his pocket, and then fly off with it, and then say you were going to turn it in in Boston when you got to Boston. That makes no sense. It's a stupid two stupid explanation trying to get out of it. Um sorry didn't cut it, and I am glad that they charged him because he was trying to steal that watch. So, thankfully they got it back to the lady. In the end, I think this video turned out really great, and these guys did some good police work working with TSA, getting the video, finding this guy before he took off with the watch. Cuz if he would have got away with it, I don't know that they would have caught him. So, let me know what you think. Did they do a good job? Do you think that he should have been arrested or was sorry good enough for you folks? Uh for me it wasn't. It wasn't good enough. And I'm glad they caught him and I hope that they uh he he suffers the consequences of it because he should know better. He's an he's a elderly gentleman that has lived enough life to know better and to know that that was not the right move, which to me says he meant to do it the whole time. So, anyway, let me know what you think. Comment, like, subscribe. We'll catch you on the next video.
