On June 5th, 2025, officers in Washington got a call from a local elementary school reporting that a Door Dash driver had displayed a weapon while dropping off a food delivery. Officers quickly located the Door Dash driver and pulled him over to attempt to speak with him. Here's what the officers did next. >> Stay in the car. Stay in the car. Stay in the goddamn car. Don't come out of the car. >> 1455. Show me out with the uh Kia, white in color. Uh uh this was an incident that originated in Canyon Ridge Middle School. He possibly has a weapon. He just showed the weapon to security personnel. So we're just going to do a welfare check. I'm waiting for 1451. >> Okay. Can you switch over, please? >> At a distance because the Kate says this guy had a weapon. He's loaded off. Start under arm. 1455 140. Kate, did he verbalize anything to you or he just lifted off his waist band to show you what he had about? >> Hey, brother. You're being audio. You're on, too. Yeah. >> All right. So, I'm a school resource officer. This guy was over. I don't know if he was delivering food or some [ __ ] at Canyon Ridge Middle School. >> Okay. >> Went back and forth with Chipping with one of the security personnel. Kind of just lifted up >> his waistband and showed that he had a gun. Didn't verbalize it. Wasn't in play, but 1455. Our location has been updated to the Dollar Tree on the Kangly. It was a Kangley >> right there's 256 >> Kosol white in color. You ready? You want to go on the other side or >> need to see both hands, sir? [Music] >> Okay. Can you place both of your hands on the dash? >> Hey, don't touch my phone, man. >> Put both your hands on the dash. Listen to what I'm saying. >> Don't talk stupid to me. I'm I'm a scientist and I'm going do what you telling me. >> Stop talking and do what I tell you to do. >> Put your damn hands on the dash. >> Okay. >> And I'll tell you the reason for the stop. First of all, you pulled off when I pulled you over and had my lights on. So that's obstruction. >> So let me tell you for the reason. We can sing together, but we can't talk at the same time. >> Reason for the stop. >> Goodbye. >> Fine. The reason for the stop is that job. >> Do you want to understand why we stopping you or not? >> Because I just delivered a lunch at an elementary >> and you displayed your weapon to a security personnel at Kenyon Ridge Middle School. >> But I got a permit to carry. >> But why would you show her the weapon? >> I didn't display my weapon. >> I was delivering the food. They saw it. >> Okay. You >> don't reach for Okay. >> Do you have a permit for the weapon? Where's the weapon at now, sir? Yeah, I got a permit for it. >> Where's your permit at, >> man? Don't talk to me. >> Where's your permit at? >> Hey, it's in my wallet. >> Slowly reach that. >> Okay. >> Here, open. >> Hey, wait a wait a minute. Okay, go ahead. >> Which side is your weapon on? Your right or your left? live stream I don't know this is where you going [Music] for Elon Musk uh that uh time the really big bomb Donald Trump is in the >> show me your permit >> okay >> you have to get out to do that >> yeah I guess I don't mean to get fancy with you. But the way it was explained, listen to me. When people talk about guns out, >> white folks call >> you money. You don't let me explain. >> Y'all come to shoot. >> You like that, too? You trained to come shoot me. Okay. >> I'm not going to talk to you. >> You to come shoot. >> Okay. Whatever. Show me the permit. >> I'm coming. Come on, man. >> Uh, here's the driver's license here. Okay. FC was the one that had allies and everything else and he killed himself in jail and uh >> I haven't ran that yet. >> He's looking for his permit. >> Okay, wait a minute here. >> Take your time until about 2 days ago. >> Here, you need to see this, too. >> I just want your permit. >> This is why y'all going to get sued. >> Okay, sir. Please give me your permit. I don't need to see any of that. I want your permit. >> You can do all that later. I give you my badge number and all my contacts. >> Yeah, I won't need all of that. You know that. And I need to talk to the chief here. >> Okay. >> Well, he's not available right now. >> Cuz y'all run me down in the street like this. I'm working, man. I'm doing that. I'm on >> and y'all don't y'all going to drive down on me like this. >> I want audio video recording. And he talking to me like he talking to me. You cough me out. You cough me out in an elementary school. Security and y'all got all this going on here. I don't like his attitude. >> I don't like his attitude. If he'll give me his badge number and I'm going to see to it that he ain't got a job no more. You know that. >> Say where you at. >> I will see to it that you ain't got a job no more. >> Stay where you at. >> Shut up, man. >> Stay where you at. >> You can't stop me from talking. >> Hey, how about we go back? How about we go back to talking? Okay, >> I'll go back over there cuz you're closing the distance on me. >> Okay. >> All right. >> So, initially the call comes out. He's delivering food at Door Dash or something at Kenya Ridge Middle School. He gets Chippy with the uh campus security officer. Exchange words and then he kind of like displays his weapon. >> Okay. >> Doesn't put it in play. >> I think she asked him something about a concealed permit or something. He didn't respond to it. She thought he might have been 220. He leaves. I catch him coming west on light him up. Stop in front of the sound place. >> He comes over to help me out and while we're figuring this off, he takes off again while he's being stopped. So I'm amping up now. So now he's upset with me, my tonality, telling him not to put his show me his effing hands, stuff like that. And that's where this is at. Okay. >> So this was initially was just a welfare check because I'm asking him what was the purpose of showing a weapon if you're just dropping off food at a middle school. >> Yeah. >> Like that's not in play or anything, >> but it wasn't displayed in an assault. >> Put your hands out by your side and relax. >> No, I don't need you talking. You're the school resource officer, but you work with kids. >> Mhm. I don't need to talk to you, sir. I need to talk to this guy here. The poor guy is unfriend. Why am I unfriend? >> The security guard cussed me out. >> Who did >> the security guard? Get your mother hands into Bob. >> So, let me ask you. >> And that's a elementary school. He talking like this. >> No, no, no. That's a middle school. And and that's a middle school. >> Okay. Whatever school it is, it was Let me ask you a question. Is it normal? for you to present your gun when you pull up your >> I presented my gun. I set the food on the counter and they saw this. >> Okay. >> I How am I going to present? But what am I going to doing? >> That's what you That's why I'm getting your side dollar insulting my >> That's why we're getting your side of it, right? >> But what what you're doing is insulting my achel. >> No, we're not. >> I'm a scientist at the University of Washington. >> Okay. So, what did you study? >> I'm a geographer. >> You're a geographer? I'm the one that got June teeth and national. >> Okay. >> Okay. No. Yeah. You got so weapons apparently capable of producing bodily harm. It's like brandishing. >> It's unlawful to display a weapon in any way that >> with the intent to intimidate somebody. >> I don't really have that based on what she said. >> Okay. >> She might be a little hyperaric too. >> Okay. >> I record that one. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> And this is probably way above his head >> because of the way he talked to me. He cussed me. >> Okay. But I'm not. >> This officer did. >> Okay. But I'm >> You guys should not be talking to uh citizens. I pay your salary. >> Okay. What I >> You ain't got no reason cussing me out. I ain't done nothing. >> So, let me ask you a question. Did you at all? >> No. No. Just asking. >> I I will tell you the second time. I had a big old Oh, wow. >> You had a big tray of food and you put it on the table >> and then I raised my coat, putting it on the counter, and they saw this. >> Uh-huh. And then all the >> Did you know you were out of school? >> I'm just asking. I don't know. >> What are you talking about, man? >> Did you know you were out of school? >> Yeah, I knew I was out of school. >> Is it normal to bring guns on campus? And do you think that >> I'm delivering? >> Yeah, but that might freak them out. >> But Door Dash sent me here for this delivery. >> Right. But they don't know you're carrying a gun. And >> Door Dash does know. >> They Door Dash knows you carry a gun >> because I've been robbed, man. >> Okay. I don't know that. >> I've been shot. Okay. >> I I died at Harborview Hospital. >> So, I ain't about to get shot again out here. Things are dangerous out here. >> You got to know what I'm talking about. >> No, I do. I That's where my own protection. >> Absolutely. >> And I usually drive at night. >> So, I started driving at daytime. I thought maybe it would be a little safer driving at daytime. But the last time this happened was in Belleue when they took me to jail over here at school. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, we saw in store. >> Okay. >> We put them out of business. >> What I'm saying to you is this. Maybe what we ought to not do is when we're delivering to a school. >> I'm going to work. I troubleshoot. I'm part owner of Uber. I troubleshoot. So now I know to tell Uber drivers, don't go to no school with your gun on you. Mhm. >> Well, don't go to any school with a gun on you. >> I said, what did I just say? I said, don't go to no school. You going to change my wording to don't go to any school, >> right? >> Okay, you're good, too. >> Okay, so I got to write this into our policy. >> Okay, >> don't deliver. Now there's a small Uber door hug driver. Everything came back clear and the gun came back to him. >> He said he said he put the put the food up on the counter. They saw it. He says that's when Kate started screaming and yelling at having a conversation >> and I guess they couldn't understand him or he got kind of chippy. She comes out and then he says to Kane, "Oh, I see that you brought security for me." And then opened up his jacket and showed his weapon. So Steiner saying, "We've already got even with a CPO, you can't bring that on school." >> Well, even if he's licapons capable, I think you have based on what he's saying, >> right? Well, we have we have we definitely have weapons capable, but the question is, >> does this does this right here is that considered brand? Well, but all a destiny is you just need to show it in a way that's meant to intimidate another one. There's nothing about you have to pull it out. You have to have >> That's why she aired it. >> It just has to be in a way that you're intimidated. It's a gross misdemeanor. These are all misdemeanor. >> Right. Right. So, hit him with that and obstruction. Not you me. Hit him with obstruction cuz I put him over at sound and his other is also a CPL violation to bring a campus. Look, that could be an additional thing >> cuz I think I I thought you weren't allowed to bring in a restricted place. >> That could I don't know the CPL. I just looked up the school on uh weapons on school. >> Yeah. Yeah. Weapons on on on campus. Weapons on campus >> prohibited. I emailed them that. And then u weapons capable cuz it's pretty. It just says in a way you show it in a way. And then yeah, possibly that which they came out later. And you have obstruction. So, and the jail's open. >> Bringing a gun on school, running from you. I mean, this is a dude that is could whether or not he has a gun continue to cause problems today. And that's that's crazy. >> Okay. School staff shouldn't see your gun. Well, you know, they're freaked out. This dude's screaming at him. Look at how we act towards you. You know, we acted bad towards them. So, >> I'm the state director for the National Junth Observer Foundation. Okay. >> Okay. >> So, wait. >> American Slaves, Inc. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Okay, that's my ID. >> Okay. >> And you got to recognize. Okay. So, they're going to be reparations. So, you going to declare us a sovereign nation. >> Okay. >> Now, they got to try to get us to come. >> I'm not going back to my forefather, my great grand. >> Absolutely. Go ahead, sir. >> Okay, >> Reverend. >> Yes. >> All right. So far, we've been doing pretty well. All right. The gentleman's that over there talking, they've established that they believe a crime has occurred. >> Okay. >> And I'm just advising you now that they're going to place you under arrest. You want that to go very easily. Right. So, behind your back. >> There you go. You're doing a good job. >> What kind of crime? >> I will let you know as soon as they tell me what the probable cause is. >> Problem with me. weapons on campus capable, right? >> Weapons on campus is capable of obstructing. >> Okay. Maybe maybe maybe felony harassment by showing the gun. And you also have no gun >> and and probably a CPL violation. >> What? >> Concealed pistol license violation. >> Okay. >> We we don't know. We're going to we're going to write it all up right now. You're under arrest. >> You will absolutely get that when you get up to jail. Hey, would you like me to grab your phone and wallet and then I can park your car? >> I got two phones. >> Hear me out real quick though. I can park your car maybe over here and hope that it doesn't get towed. That way we don't leave it in an alley where we have to tow it. >> Okay. Let the owners know at Dollar Tree. >> Would you like me to park your car for you out of the alley? I'm going to do my other telephone is right here on the solder. We're going to walk this way towards my car. >> Can I watch them? >> Why not? Yeah. Come over here. >> Yeah. Get on the phone, right? Oh, he got it. >> This one? >> Oh, yeah. >> Yeah, we got it for you. Yeah. >> Okay. And >> Okay. >> All right, sir. Just let you Miranda warnings. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. >> Are you okay, sir? You're going to I'm going to Here's what I'm going to do. >> I'm not okay. >> Okay. Here's what I'm going to do. Whoever's transporting you, I'm going to >> I've been injured. >> Okay. But I'm going to give you make sure that you get these back because I want to make sure that you have your ID and your license, your pistol license. Okay. >> Right. >> Okay. Is your >> And where's the gun at? >> I have the gun. We're going to keep it for safekeeping. It'll be an evidence. We lock it up. We put it in a box so nobody else can get to it. And then you have your day in court and you can adjudicate whatever it is you want. >> Coming with the car keys now. >> Okay, that's not a problem. >> Okay. You said you have injuries. >> Yeah, I'm injured. >> Where are you injured? >> Uh my back is in pain. So, do you want us to put a second set of hands to put less pressure on your shoulder? >> Yeah. >> And do you need fire? >> Do you want the fire department to come take a look at you? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> That that we will do. >> And we'll stand right here at the front. So, you be in the shade and then you can go ahead and tell them whatever it is you need to tell them. >> My hand needs cuffs. I can't handle this. Okay. You got to listen, man. You got to take this off of me. >> You got to take No. No. You got to take these cuffs off of me now, man. >> We We Sir, let let them look at them. Look at you real quick. >> I can't handle this, man. You got to take these cuffs off of me. >> Well, they're checking you out right now. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. Now, >> the medical staff said you're healthy as a horse. >> Okay. >> Mr. Michael [ __ ] in the car with >> We're going to word that out. Let's go do it together. You ready? >> The best the best officer we got. >> That's a lie. >> Wow. That's a compliment. >> He's a liar. >> No, that's got to That's a compliment. >> I'm going to let you situate yourself. Do you want to sit down and scoot back a little bit that way? I can >> Okay. >> arrange out a seat. >> You can't take these off, right? >> Unfortunately, no. >> Okay. Let me see if I can sit down in here, right? >> Mr. Williams. >> Is it Patterson or Williams? >> William. Oh yeah. >> Okay. >> And I'll help you out as best I can. Yeah. Push off me. You're not going to hurt me. >> You got He got me. >> He got me. >> You're better looking than me. That's why you can push. >> You got me. >> Okay. That's good.
