I don't give a [ __ ] Let me out. Let me out, [ __ ] On August 30th, 2024, a late night crash at Cumberland Road and Dart Drive in Tehachi, California, quickly turned into a circus. Witnesses said the car was flying at nearly 90 mph before it flipped. But the wreck wasn't the finale. It was just the opening act. What followed was denial, drama, and one epic meltdown. Watch the video to know what actually happened. >> Sir, what we got? Um, so leave intoxicated female. Her car is over there by the shed and they have a motor hand. >> Oh, okay. That's the only vehicle involved in the in the crash. So, single vehicle >> single vehicle. Um, I don't know if it rolled. I just got here, but she's out of the vehicle. They're assessing her now. Anyone over there in that area? >> Yeah, there's a vehicle on the other side of that [ __ ] >> And was she the only one in the vehicle as far as you know? >> Yeah. So, she first said she had someone with her, but then she said she did and they they accounted for the girl that she thought was they got >> you guys. You guys going to check the car? >> Yeah, we'll check. >> Just double check to make sure. Thanks. Do you know if anybody here witnessed this? >> No. >> We just got a call. The drunk lady here called me. >> Anybody here witnessed this? >> Yeah, all three of us. >> Oh, okay. Outstanding. So, tell me what you saw. >> I was saw you in the vehicle vehicle in front of us. >> Were you all three in the same car or different car? But they were right behind me. And um >> so were you right behind her then? >> No, she was behind all of us. >> It was her first, us second, and then her coming. >> Yeah, we were coming up. >> She passed you. >> Coming up Cumberland. She went got into the left lane, passed us, and then proceeded to pass her >> all before this turn. >> I was like flying. >> Flying. Okay. >> We were going I don't know like >> we were going I was going about like 53. >> Uhhuh. >> And she was probably going about like 85 9. No, I feel like it was so the turn itself I think was super fast. >> The one thing you after she passed her, you could see that there was almost a late reaction jerk once she realized the turn was coming up. >> Um and then it immediately I think she hit the dirt back there and then that was when she was flipped completely. We watched the headlights and then and there was a bunch of dust and smoke and then we pulled over immediately got out ran down here to find I mean, obviously, we can throw in consideration that she's been through something that was kind of traumatizing and she's scared, but other than that, do you feel like you're talking to your daughter and despite despite the circumstances, it seems this is kind of Is this her mannerisms? >> Okay. You understand some of our concerns, of course. >> Did you really like >> honestly I I just remember I woke up and she had I remember my Let's do this. Let's go get I know I was supposed to drive dry brace and still take over that. >> Let's get all her and then I'll check home and I cry. >> Um I guess we'll let the offic make sure the other cuz she's absolutely refusing from us. >> I figure to go to the hospital. >> Oh yeah. >> Oh no. No. >> I'm fine. >> No 100%. >> I mean like my head hurts a little bit. What I'm doing is I'm now like passing on I'm passing on my assessment now and I'm he'll do his assessment and then everything checks out. You're an adult. You have the right to to refuse. >> You want to tell me what happened? >> I thought there was a deer so I swerved and then I swerved into the side of the mountain and I guess I froze. But it's cuz I've only had my license for a few months. So I mean I'm not that experienced. >> How much have you had to drink tonight? >> I haven't drinking anything. >> You haven't dranken anything? >> Yeah. Okay. They could do like >> Yeah, I don't do anything like that. >> How fast were you going before you got here? >> Before you got to this place. >> I was going like probably like 60. I I wouldn't I was probably I was speeding. I definitely was. >> All right. >> Officers rolled up to find a wrecked car by a shed. Smoke still fresh in the air. Witnesses wasted no time spelling it out. Anna had passed them like a NASCAR rookie, swerving hard into a turn she had no business taking. The story of a deer jumping out was her excuse. But everyone knew Bambi wasn't the problem. Speed and inexperience work. >> You are not free to leave. Have a seat and just wait here for a minute and I'll be right back. >> Sorry. >> Whoa. flash. Well, so the two people she passed said they were doing probably about 55 when she passed them and they thought she was doing 90. >> Yeah, cuz there's pieces of the car up here. >> Yeah. I mean, this thing's she's lucky she walked away from this >> and nobody else was with her that >> she I guess originally she said she had a passenger with her, but fire department said they were able to concern confirm that she'd already dropped her off and I've had several people come over and look and I >> I don't see I walked all the way up there and I there's pieces of car up there, but I don't see any. >> Right. Yeah. So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to administer a test to determine whether or not you're under the influence of alcohol. Okay? It's really important that you follow my instructions. I'm going to I'm going to be as fair as I can be with you. There's no tricks. And so, all you need to do is do what I ask you to do. Follow only with your eyes when I move my finger. Okay? So, don't follow with your head. Just simply I want only your eyeballs to move. >> Okay? Next thing I want to do is what I want you to do is put your feet together, hands at your sides. Let's go a little bit further back so you have more room. >> Oh, okay. >> Do me a favor. Face more this way. Sorry, my head hurts a little bit. >> It's okay. I get it. I want you to start with your right foot on an imaginary line and then your left foot behind it. >> Okay. >> Hands at your side. Then go ahead and start. >> Okay. Three, four. >> Sorry, my head hurts really bad. >> Okay. >> I cried. >> No, I get it. I get it. >> Sorry. >> Are you going to go to the hospital? Are you fine? Um, honestly, I mean, my head hurts a little bit, but honestly, I'm probably just going to take it off. >> Then do me a favor. Just hang on and um, >> okay, >> it's fine. >> It'll be okay cuz our car is so you're alive and not hurting. >> My garment. >> Okay, it's all right. It's okay. >> Hey, were you Was she going to check her blood sugar? We were going to, but are you is she Oh, she is. >> Yeah. Yeah. If you can check her blood sugar, that would be that would be good. Yeah, she's >> okay. I I couldn't tell. I thought maybe >> Yeah, I know. He's going to We're going to take her to the station and do a breath test on her. So, we're going to take her and do a breath test on her. >> And does it seem more alcohol than um I mean, it could. >> Yeah. Usually, usually nestagmas is alcohol. >> Okay, good. If she does test and you take her to the station, are you guys going to take her to the hospital, get any medical clearance, or are you good on it? I mean, she's not going with us. So, >> no, she's not going with Well, it depends upon what she blows. And I'm not sure how old she is. She She already She's already claiming she hit her head, right? I mean, I don't know how she didn't hit her head. >> I don't know how she's like She's lucky. I mean, if you look at the car, though, the intrusion and all the problems were really on the passenger side with the roof ripped off and all the crashes. Hers was looked at at least I could see pretty intact. >> It was. Yeah. >> What happened? So, >> when officers pressed her, the contradictions came fast. First she claimed she had a passenger. Then she didn't. First she said no alcohol, then admitted to probably speeding. Her head hurt. Her story hurt worse. Firefighters checked the wreckage. Roof ripped. Glass shattered. And someone got severely injured. >> I guess she was wearing a seat belt. >> Yeah. >> All right. >> She's good. >> No, we're good to go then. >> Okay. Uh take care. >> Uh you want to transport you on with you? >> They're going to take you into the station. Why? >> We're going to breath test you at the station. >> Watch it. Why? >> Uh to make sure that there's no You haven't been drinking. >> I'm fine. >> Okay, we're going to go. >> Okay. Well, I took all those tests. Why do I need to go in? >> You didn't pass those test. >> Because you didn't pass those tests. That's why I did. Okay. Okay. We're going to >> I want to go home. >> You're not going home. >> You don't get to go home if you want. >> No, I want to go home. >> You're not going. You don't have to be so precious. Okay, you're going to go to the ground. >> Okay. What are you basically? >> Because you're walking away. That's why. >> Why? You don't Okay. Okay. You don't have to be so aggressive. What are you doing? Okay. >> Are you going to put your hands behind your back and cooperate? Okay. Put your hands behind your Put your hands behind your back. >> I was before. Why are you breaking my >> Because you tried to walk away. >> I know I wasn't. You are breaking my arm. >> Put your hand behind your back. >> What is your problem? >> Put your hand behind your back. >> Okay. What's your problem? >> Give me this hand. >> Give me this hand. >> What's your problem? >> No. What's your problem? >> My problem is >> you're hurting. Ow. Ow. Okay. You don't have to do that. >> You created that. >> Okay. That was your fault. You did that. >> Okay. Ma'am, she's probably not getting released to you. She was going to get released to you. >> Can I give you my number? >> Yeah. Yeah. Still meet us over there. >> No. >> Okay. All right. >> Still meet us over there. If she calms down and decides to uh cooperate, she might get released to you. >> On my arm. >> However, if she wants to continue what she's doing. >> No. Oh my god. No. You're literally attacking me. >> What are you talking about? No. You're literally attacking me. What are you talking about? >> I would have gone if you if you want to attack me. What's wrong with you? >> Oh, excuse me. >> She tried to leave after I told her she was detained. >> So, she's not being very cooperative now. >> Okay. >> Stand up. Roll over to your side. No, wait, wait, wait. No, wait. Let me roll over. Roll over to your side. >> There you go. Now, stand up. >> Thank you. Let's put her in your car. >> Hold here. >> Sure. You bet. >> You have to break my arm. >> He's going to pull the car up. >> Yeah, he's going to pull the car. We're going to put her in his car. >> All right. The toe did. You have to break my arm. >> No, we're going to leave it. Uh, they're going to use their AAA. We're not going to we're not going to uh impound it. >> No, it's already here. Um, so he had another car on. He was dropping off. >> That was the same guy. >> Yeah, he's going to come back. >> Okay. Well, you have to break my arm. >> And you guys can hang out for >> when told she failed the tests. The meltdown switched gears. Suddenly, she was the victim. You're breaking my arm. You're aggressive. Classic drama queen defense. She tried walking away mid arrest only to get dragged back down, kicking, screaming, and throwing out wild threats. She turned a DUI stop into a full-blown meltdown. >> I have to [ __ ] Okay, I get it. You don't have to [ __ ] yank me, [ __ ] I get it. I'm going. >> They turned away. >> Stupid ass. And yes, her ranting continued all the way like bad karaoke no one asked for. But the deer excuse, the fake legal rules, the screaming, none of it kept her from the same destination, jail. Sometimes the hardest crash isn't the car flip, it's the reality check waiting afterward. Anna Smith was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit, and resisting a peace officer.
