Police come to the door. Search warrant. They took all my children. Can't believe it. This isn't bad enough. >> On December 22nd, 2023, the Marshfield Police Department received a call from a woman named Patricia after she noticed evidence of a break-in at her house. Coming back from a trip that lasted about 5 days, Patricia's back door had been broken into and a safe was [music] stolen that contained cash and her jewelry. >> So, I've been gone since Monday cuz I had a brand new baby born. Okay, >> this Okay, first thing I noticed when I got in my car, I had this waiting for my sister and there was a tablecloth in a bag. She didn't want it. I thought she didn't want it >> because it was laying on top here. And then I noticed that >> So then I went to the back door and I'm like, where is it blood from? Because I had somebody dropped this off on Wednesday. I totally trust them. >> Okay. >> Um and the money was laying there, too. So the money they must not have noticed it was in that bag on my bench there >> in the garage. >> Yeah. So they didn't notice the money. So then >> all this was in the garage too. >> Yeah. This was laying on here. This probably has blood on it because this was out of the package. He said on Wednesday it was still in there. But I balled it up and I didn't think blood till I saw that. >> Okay. >> So I went to the back door and there's three panes. the broken glass there. >> Okay. >> Yeah. And then this blood. So, it must have been on my handle. I'm going to touch it again. >> Yeah. Hey, hold up. Hold up. >> They kicked back door, too. >> Okay. >> Okay. You haven't gone inside yet? >> No, I just put my stuff on the steps there. >> All right. Well, >> it wasn't until I noticed then that my doors kicked. >> Okay. You want us to clear that quick and then just make sure no one's inside? >> Yeah, I kind of walked around. I didn't see anything else. Yeah, you can. I got stuff on my step there. >> All right. >> I don't know where the blood came from. It's not mine. >> We'll just uh police department. If anyone's in here, make yourself known. Is there >> good in there? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> I didn't see any >> blood trail downstairs. It wasn't like that. >> That door was open though. That door. >> This door was locked. >> You have animals. >> Wait, do you have >> I don't know if it Huh? >> Do you have animals? >> No. >> Police department. Anyone in here? >> Mickey. I don't know if it was locked. >> The blood must be on that handle. >> Well, was that door open? >> No. It's >> police department trying to get in or were in >> police department. If anyone's in here, make yourself known. >> All right. No, we're good. >> I want to see her. Go in there. Yeah, let's check that closet. >> Wait, did you have a safe in this closet? >> Yeah, I do. >> Oh, that's gone. >> Why? >> It's coming. Just Hey, don't touch anything. Okay. >> Yeah. You come in and look. Just don't >> I'm not I'm not yelling or anything. I just want to make sure >> anything that would have fingerprints on it. >> That's what they just said. >> You can come on in. Just just refrain from touching. Is that >> Jesse? Go check. I'm going to go check upstairs. >> Oh no. They pilered all my jewelry. Everything's gone. >> Hey, so who has been here lately? Do you have anybody that like cleans your house? >> They took everything. >> Well, don't don't touch it. Okay. Um, >> who do you who would know about all this stuff? >> I had uh $8,000 cash. >> Okay. >> All of my jewelry and that's all I do is deal in jewelry. Oh my god. >> Okay. [snorts] >> Do you have any Would you have had anything up there? >> Have you had anybody like cleaning your residence at all recently? >> No. >> Who would know that? They took my safe. >> Okay, >> they took everything that was in there. >> Okay, >> all my jewelry is gone. >> Well, >> why would they go in my scents and underwear drawer? >> Well, probably looking for more stuff. Um, was there anything else valuable [snorts] wise that you >> All of I have a lot of nice jewelry. Thousands and thousands of dollars worth of jewelry. >> Sure. >> I have $8,000 cash gone. [snorts] >> Look at they went they just left empty boxes like [snorts] >> Yeah. And and right now my my supervisor's talking with the detective bureau, so they're likely going to send one. >> Check that bag. There's got to be prints on that bag out there. And um >> Yeah. Well, yep. And that blood. That's >> And that blood. And my back door. I mean, I did it handled two doors. I didn't get my top one because I noticed it was dented. >> Yep. [snorts] So when when >> she took all my jewelry. I can't believe it. >> I All I sell online and I have the best jewelry of anybody probably in this. I have nice stuff. >> Mhm. [sighs] >> When did you leave? >> I left Monday. [sighs] Monday morning about 8 o'clock. >> Sure. >> You want to head head downstairs then? Um I'm just trying to get a general like timeline of when the last time anyone's anyone was here. >> Who is the the guy you were talking to on the phone? >> Okay. >> He was here on Wednesday. Nothing was done on Wednesday. I'm going to call Should I call him back? >> Was there any valuables in that? >> No. >> Who is he to you? >> They took my safe. I just know him from doing auctions and antiquing and all that kind of stuff. and I helped Mitch. >> So, what was he doing here? >> He was dropping off a couple things I had set aside at a last sale and I forgot to grab them. And so, Mitch sent them with him. And then there was $25 in that envelope in the garage. >> Huh? It was Mitch. >> Mitch. >> As officers made note of all the evidence, they started questioning Patricia about who the suspect could be. >> Okay. Even then, I thought my one place of solace is my house. So once I bat proofed it, I'm like, "Oh, it's so good to just have my house >> safe again." >> Yeah. And I I >> So is do you lock that screen door? That door is not locked, right? >> Tell the police. They can call me. Do you want to talk to him? >> Who's that? >> Rick. I >> I think we will eventually here. Just let let's get So Detective uh Lou is coming over and she'll um she'll have his contact information. She'll want to talk to him. U the reason we're having her come over is cuz she can devote all of her time to this, right? Like we when we work the road, we go call to call to call. But >> you guys are out of here then. And then >> she Yeah, she will specialize in this. She will she will take her time. >> He went to look for cameras. Uh we found one at 9:07 right up there across the road. So he's going to go look. >> How about the clinic? >> Yeah. The pro They don't have a lot of cameras and there's no cameras in this parking lot here. >> Yeah. So these backyards will look into u the daycare. we were going to look into. You know, if a car comes in here at 1 in the morning, the daycare maybe picked it up over there. Um, so we'll look at all those. >> Probably not real clear even though there's lights, >> right? But then you can follow it back, right? >> What do I do when I don't have any? And Christmas. My sister lives in Vegas. Two days ago, somebody broke into her car >> really >> in Vegas. And I'm like, what luck? Right. Right before Christmas, somebody just took everything I had. And you don't think things like that would happen here, right? I mean, you don't >> Doesn't happen in Marshall. >> It does. Yeah, it does happen. You are not the only one. >> Doesn't make it all right or any better or anything, but >> and I want to save probably well over [laughter] $50,000. >> 15 or >> 50? >> 50 in jewelry. >> Jewelry and cash. >> All right. >> And I don't know anybody that would do that. I really don't. There's blood on that package in the garage. That's what I first noticed >> the package. >> I left two, >> okay, >> some tablecloths for my sister and one of them was out of the package and I'm like, "Oh, she must not have wanted this one." But then I saw the other one was still there and then I saw blood on there. So I don't know if somebody was going to wipe their hands on it and there might be blood on. >> I'm glad you left them right where they are >> on the workbench here. >> Okay. >> But Idled it up. I did look to see if there was blood in there until I noticed the other one had blood on it. So then when I went to the back door, I saw the panel was broken. >> Okay. >> And then I just set my stuff down and then I saw my other back door was kicked in, but it was locked. >> There's some blood on the shovel there. And there's some blood on the ground. >> Oh, there was blood on the shovel. >> Yeah. Little st. >> See, I had blood on my hand. I washed it already from them. >> Okay. where >> but they went in my bedroom and they said, "Did you have a safe?" And I said, "Yeah." "Was the door open?" >> Yes, the door. >> Yep. >> My safe is gone with everything I had. >> You could see where the safe head back. >> There's still the impression where the safe is. >> You had mentioned something about somebody coming over and seeing a shovel just >> I had somebody drop off a couple things from a sale. I help with estate sales. So, Mitch had Rick drop some things off here. He said he saw my shovel on the lawn and he put it back up against the house. >> Okay, that was my question is I'm seeing the shovel now resting where it's probably normally. >> He said it was on the lawn, but he put it back up. >> Okay. >> Against there. I wonder if he had any of his kids with him that would say, oh, you know, >> do you have contact information? >> Yeah, I do. Okay. >> I mean, I don't know his kids at all. Would they would he have said, oh, Patty sells jewelry or Patty, >> you know? No, but we'll have to chat with him just about what he saw exactly and what he >> Well, anyway, so I I I looked at the stuff that he dropped off and Mitch owed me $25 and there was a little World War I box I wanted. So Rick dropped those off for Mitch. And in that silverware that was in there, there was $25 cash. They didn't see that if they were in the garage. They had to have been in the garage. >> Is the garage normally locked? >> No, I don't because it doesn't, you know, I mean, look, it's cleaned out. I mean, what what somebody can take away? >> Okay. No, no, not don't don't take any of our questions. Yep. Don't >> My leaf blower is about the only thing I thought somebody maybe would don't take any of our questions as accusatory in any way, shape, or form, which >> I want to know if I'll get my money back. >> If we can figure out who did this, we will ask the courts to order restitution for you. Unless Unless we could figure it out quick enough where they would still have that cash or have that jewelry then you know then yes. >> Guy down at >> I call jeweler's pallet. He's a friend of mine. I do a lot of business with them. >> He knows all my stuff. [laughter] >> Do you have pictures of any of your jewelry? >> Pictures of everything. >> Okay. All right. We'll get that at some point. >> I catalog everything. I catalog everything I give my daughter-in-law. They live in Colorado. I just It's just something I always do. >> We will. And if I sell it, I don't have it. >> Okay. At some point, we're going to figure out a way to get all those so that we can notify um area pawn shops and such and put notice out to look for this stuff. >> See, and a couple pieces are on eBay. And I said maybe somebody knows that I sell on eBay that I had it in my house. >> I don't I don't know. >> Right. No, that's okay. We'll as as we talk. Do you guys know the only person I can think of that I've ever seen go in my garage? You know Martha Gentleman? Martha knee house gentleman. Do you know her? >> I've seen her before go in my garage in my house. I I' I've borrowed her money before. >> Okay. Okay. >> Over the next week on the 28th of December and the 1st of January, two suspects were caught on camera stalking Patricia's residence before backing away. Then on January 3rd, police received a call from the manager of Wickers Sham Jewelry who reported the suspect was at the store attempting to sell a piece of Patricia's stolen jewelry. >> This is from his friends last week trying to sell it. The guy that came. >> Okay. >> Come and question me about anything about >> that's scary. But it's it's understandable, I guess. >> Hold on a second. Can you um >> what? >> What? >> No. >> Something wrong? >> No. I appreciate you letting me search you. >> Is it something wrong?
