After being placed in the squad car, Javier continued to fight against officers, kicking at the door and yelling insults. His resistance was so strong that leg shackles had to be applied to keep him under control. Once secured, he was transported by ambulance to the hospital for medical clearance before finally being taken to the county jail. Javier faced multiple charges, including felony battery or threat to a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, and two counts of resisting arrest. The resisting and disorderly conduct charges were dismissed, but read into the record. He plead guilty to the felony charge and was sentenced to 24 months of probation, 60 days in jail with Hoover privileges, and 30 hours of community service. Additional conditions included a firearms ban, random testing, counseling, and full compliance with probation rules with credit for one day served.
