He wasing me in the jail. You got that arm. He was me in jail. He was me in the jail. Going to say my dad's was breaking into the jailing me. That was this. Hey, why not just have your own choice account? Why not? Like why still use it with hers? I try and get free knives. I came out and this girl started hitting me like she bit my finger. It's said that elderly people are among the wisest people in the world. However, they can also be some of the most vulnerable, too. It's heartbreaking when they're taken advantage of, whether by checks being stolen or physical abuse. If you'd like to feel a sense of justice, stay tuned to the channel as these cops stop scammers from defrauding the elderly. That check that you tried to pass, but it was not me. It wasn't me. Completely fake check. On the 9th of August 2023, law enforcement was called to a bank in Winder, Georgia. A woman there was trying to cash a questionable check. The cops arrived on scene and discovered their first red flag. The suspect was in the drive-through line, and she didn't have a car. [Music] Hello. Hey, how are you? What's up? You're going to come with me for a second. Okay. You have any weapons on you? No. I'm going to explain everything to you here in a minute. All right. Okay. Okay. So, they're saying that you're trying to pass a bad check. Okay. No, I'm not trying to pass. No, I I understand that. We're going to get everything figured out. All right. Okay. Okay. So, if you want to sit in the backseat of my car, you have any weapons on you? I don't have anything. Okay. I'm going to get everything back. I promise you. Okay. Yeah. So, what's the So, they they're telling me that the check looks fraud. What kind of check are you trying to cash or what? Okay, Charles. Okay. Charles wrote me the check. Okay. I said I Yeah, I'm not I'm not a violent person. No, Charles wrote me the check. And um I've been working I've been working doing um I've been cleaning up for like a whole month. Okay. Okay. And then doing decor and everything for the business. I didn't I don't I didn't wrote I didn't write the check. I you can take my handwriting and everything. I I wouldn't do that. Who is Charles? Charles is the man that I've been working for. Okay. So, it's like a private Yeah. The woman claimed to have been working for a mysterious man named Charles. It's safe to assume she was a private employee as it was a physical check and not deposited into her bank account. However, when asked for more details about her employer, she was unable to provide answers. You've been cleaning for just cleaning this. He wrote you a check month. Oh my. Okay. And I gave him my real ID. Everything says my whole name on it. I don't have nothing on. Everything says this is me. This is really me. This is really me. And I So what is Charles's last name? You know what? And I don't even know. But you don't know. No. And I don't. And everything in his mind I have nothing for. And it's even too everything here has my name on it. Nobody else but mine. Okay. Hang tight with her in the hill right quick. Okay. Let me go try to figure it out. The woman seemed almost manic while trying to explain things to the officers. Her panic speech was telling that something sketchy was going on here, especially when the officer was incredibly gentle as he approached this guilty looking woman. Hey, what what's going on? I've been working for a whole month and I came to cash a check. Okay. And he says it looks like it's fraud, but I don't do nothing for her. Everything in here is my with my name on it. And I've been working a whole month. A whole month. Everything in here has my name on it. Who? Who you been working for? Charles. Charles. Charles. Charles. What have you been doing for Charles? Cleaning the car. I got kids. I got Why would he give me a That's not good. Okay. Was his name on the track? I don't even know. A lot of people are thinking that I just been working and then this is it. I didn't think I had to check anything. I just finally got freaking paid over after a month. That's it. I I wouldn't do nothing for it cuz this is who I am. How much was he supposed to pay you? You're supposed to pay me $4,400 over a month. Okay. And then that's And that's how much the check was for? Yeah, it was. Yeah. And but was his name on the check? No. Not even I'm looking and thinking no, it's not. The woman admitted she tried to cash the check, although her so-called employer's name was nowhere to be seen. And of course, the payer's names required for the check to be valid. The scammers tried to gain the sympathy of the officer through what appear to be very fake tears. I knew you, you know, you work for somebody, you don't think you have to even check that. You just go to work and you get paid. I don't know. Were you doing what kind of cleaning were you doing? Like for a business for him or Yeah, for a business for him that's just now been to get ready to open up. Where? And that's indicator indicator. Yeah, that's indicator, Georgia. Okay. I had to come all the way out here. Why did you have to come out here? Because there's no stopake indicator. Oh, okay. Yeah, there is none. This is the closest one. Yeah, I don't have one of these indicators where I stay right by the campground county jail. Okay. And how did you get here? I called an Uber. Got an Uber. More money. That's what I'm saying. I wouldn't come out here like that. I got you. Well, just let them talk to whoever they need to talk to from the bank and we'll try to get it sorted out. Okay. Yeah. You said you said his name was Charles. Yeah. His name Charles. Apparently, this woman got an Uber for about an hourong drive from Decatur to Winder. She did so because she claimed there wasn't a branch of this particular bank in her hometown. It's a common tactic among scammers to use different banks. This creates a layer of separation between themselves and the fraud they're committing. We're now trying to verify it, but there's just Is it a Charles? Uhhuh. Okay. But you're on the You're on the phone with him now, though? Yes. This check cleared that already. That same check number. It clear it cleared his account already. Yes, but to a different person for a different amount. So, honestly, we don't know what's going on. At this point, they thought this woman from Decatur was trying to cash a check that had already been cashed by someone else in some other city. Both the check and her license were fraudulent, despite her claims she was an innocent woman trying to cash her hardearned money. Me I I don't think it's him. You don't think it's the customer? I don't think it's the customer. Yeah. I don't think it's the customer. He's telling me that he issued both of the checks. They both have the same number on them. He's telling me that his grandson brought him up. That didn't sound like an older guy. No, it sounds like a young guy. And this guy gets social security. That did not sound This guy gets social security. And he sounds like I'm not that young, but he sounds my age. Okay. Or younger. Or younger. And he's saying, "Oh, yeah. Uh but he he knows all the information on the accounts which is not which is not uncommon. They get a hold of an older person's information and he's like oh yeah well I I I wrote both of those checks out and yeah she did a service for me. I said what service did she do? Oh well I have a I have an expense report right here. Yeah. Yeah. And I wrote that for her. I said, "Well, what about this check right here to this Jana?" Cuz that's the same that's the same check number that it's the exact same check number and it was wrote to a Jana. The person on the phone sounded much too young and he didn't specify the services that he received from the female suspect. Also, both checks had identical serial numbers, so everything here seems to be pointing to fraud. It's just So, what it sounds like to me is she's got a hold of the They got a hold of his check. off his checks and wrote and there's Yeah. And there I I have a feeling there's something that's going on and especially when they have expense written on that. Yeah. Cuz see how it just looks clear. Mhm. And that's a different check all together. You can tell in the size that's a different font. And this was deposited at Bank of America, you know. See, look. That's a different quality. You can tell that was cuz I've never seen any of our checks be ripped from the bottom. All of our checks ripped from the top. Yeah. Say the checkbook I have from here is you ripped it from the top. To sum things up here, there are two checks with identical numbers and they were deposited at two different banks by two different people. The man who was posing as the elderly account holder said he was completely unaware of this discrepancy. Even how the check was ripped from the book indicates that these were fraudulent checks. Oh, all right. Y'all want to step out for me? Okay. Let me have that wallet. Turn around for me. I'm going to explain everything to you here in just a second. I'm going right now. You're under arrest. Okay. tell you here just a second and they got my boys to pick up. Where your boys at? They're at school that only I came to school by school. But listen to me. What school I go to? I get back there in middle school and in elementary. I got five boys. That's what I was telling. I don't have nothing on me. Okay, we're going to walk to the front of my car. Come here. So, listen. I told you I was going to be honest with you. Okay. Yes, please. The check that you were trying to pass was written to somebody else two days ago and just cleared their checking account two days ago. Okay. That check that you tried to pass. But it was not me. It wasn't me though. Completely fake check. But it but it was not me. CHARLES WROTE ME TO CHECK AND I TOLD HER I SWEAR TO GOD I DID THE WORK THAT I was supposed to do. I did. Corporal, you're going to have a court date. I did the work. Explain everything to the I did do the work. I was supposed to do it. And why am I going to jail if I was set up? If somebody did a checkbook, you wrote me what I did. I'm not [Music] going to jail. Yes, ma'am. In fraud cases like this, it can be hard to tell whether the person cashing the check is a victim themselves or perhaps in cahoots with the scammers. In any case, it didn't help the woman that she had a previous felony. The cops decided to arrest her and let the judge decide if she was guilty or not. I don't believe nobody innocent should go nowhere. WHERE AM I GOING? Where am I going? How many people do he do this too? How do work right bull check if they get in trouble? This is not cool. The scammer was booked in jail for previous warrants and was also given a forgery charge. While the woman's crocodile tears would say otherwise, it's pretty safe to assume she committed fraud before. On July 22nd, 2022, police were called to address a hit-and-run incident in Dunwy, Georgia. According to the elderly victim who drove a Mazda sedan, her car was struck by a Toyota SUV. Both vehicles initially pulled over and when the Toyota driver saw just minor damage to her own vehicle, she drove off, but the elderly woman followed right behind her. Hey, how y'all doing? I'm good there. What's going on? So, she's in her car. Which one's her? Uh, this Toyota. And which color is the Toyota? Which one? The gray one. Okay. Uh, I after I crossed uh Shambly Dunwoody, I was I had signaled and was in the process of getting in that lane. Mhm. Not not before the yellow strips started. Uhhuh. Cuz they're the yellow strips. And she comes She had already been tailing me. Uh-huh. Uh really close, even coming across the the uh intersection. She had just been literally tailing me. And so I signaled to get over and next thing I knew she came just uhoh. She came around me. Boom. She gets out. So, I put my I put my uh flashers on. She puts her flashers on. She gets out. She comes to the car. She looks at her car. She looks at my car. And then she goes and she gets back in her car. She rolls the window down and calls me some exploitives. Mhm. And then took off. Okay. Then that's when you followed behind her. Yes. Okay. Yes. All righty. Now, it can be annoying when you're stuck behind slow drivers, but tailgating them and trying to intimidate them to drive faster is never appropriate. It seems that in this situation, that's what happened. And this impatient woman in the Toyota got a little too aggressive. Do you have any damages to your vehicle? Uh, I haven't had even gotten out to look for this. All which damages? Yeah, this that's from the damage. Yeah, that's from her hitting. Okay, give me one second. At this point in the case, the officer can't jump to conclusions without getting a statement from the other driver. However, it's highly likely that the elderly driver was telling the truth given that she made the effort to follow the other car and call the cops. While talking to the Toyota driver, a different story was being told. Good afternoon, ma'am. How you doing? Good. How are you? Well, I'm doing better. Okay. What's going on? Okay. Um, couple turn lanes ago on Mount Vernon turning left on Ashford Dumby. You know, that long turn lane after the Duncan. Um, yeah. In that turn lane and we were parallel and I guess she decided she wanted to turn. So, she starts getting over. I tried to slam on my brakes or at least slow down. She comes right into me like, "Okay." So, stop my car, flashers on, get out. I come around and I look and I'm like, "All right, that sucks." But I mean, hell, I've done more damage in my own garage. So, I was like, "Well, I'm I'm not going to deal with this. I have too much to do this afternoon and it's not worth it to me to get fixed. I'm getting a new car." Yeah. So, I left and then she followed me here. You understand in the state of Georgia when you get in an accident, you got to stop and make a police report or at least exchange information. Did you guys exchange information? I did. I didn't know that. I just thought since she hit me, it was my call if I called the cops or not. Uh, okay. Nah. Oh, you have your driver's license on you? The Toyota driver seems to be pleasant despite the other driver's claim that she shouted profanities at her after the accident. She was fully compliant with the officer when he asked her for her information. However, she was still under the impression that the accident wasn't her fault. I guess why why she called the cops because she's saying a different story about how the accident occurred and she's saying you collided into her vehicle and so when she wanted to make an accident report, call the police and stuff, you took off. She didn't say a single word to me the whole time I was walking around my car. The whole time I was looking at my car, she didn't say a single thing to me. She was still sitting in her car. Okay? She didn't say a single thing to me. All right. Give me one second. Okay. Regardless of who was at fault here, the Toyota driver left the scene that she should have exchanged information or at least filed an accident report. In the state of Georgia, these things are required. So, it wasn't unreasonable for the elderly woman to call the police. All right, ma'am. So, in the state of Georgia, when you get into an accident, you have to stop. And I understand you did stop, but you didn't change information. Okay. You just decided that oh, she supposedly hit you and then you took off from the scene. Correct. Yes. Okay. So, in the state of Georgia, that is H and run. So, right now, you're going to be under arrest for hit and run. Okay. So, what I'm going to need you to do is put your hands behind your back and you now you're under arrest for run. But so, she said I hit her. I said she hit me. But she's the one that's right. We're not arguing about who hit who. Okay. It's more of a you know, you acknowledge the fact that you're in an accident, correct? Okay. Yeah, I got it. And you didn't stop. You didn't exchange information. You just left. Okay. And that's where the the problem is. The who hit whom is not really not really the issue. Okay. So, do you have somebody that can come get this car? Uh, yeah. Okay. Um, what we're going to do is you'll take your keys with you to the jail. Okay. If you can't get bailed out, you can come get your keys and we'll lock it up here. Okay. So, you don't have to tow it or anything like that. The cops cut her some slack and let her leave her car at the scene to avoid towing it. It's obvious the woman's never been arrested before and also that she was nervous, but the cops on scene were nice enough and answered all of her questions about why she was being detained. Can I ask you a question? My pouch broke. Yes, ma'am. Like, am I an idiot? Do most people like I just I don't know. I just thought if I didn't want her to get a ticket and I didn't need to get it fixed, I just thought I could leave. So, I guess that was that's unfortunately where the miscommunication occurred. Okay. And officer Shaw, he's just going to write you the the citation that you need. It's a traffic offense. Okay? He'll post whatever the bond is and then you'll have a court date. Okay? and you can go to court on the court date and do what you got to do to handle everything. Okay? We're not going to tow your car or anything like that. So stupid. I don't I completely understand the frustration on that. So what will happen? Um officer Shaw's going to do um a citation. Okay. The bond is whatever it is and officer Madden will know by the time we get there. Okay. Um you can use a bonds person or you can do cashing with them. um front desk, someone with a ID with either the passport or driver's license will come up there, post the cash, and then you can get out, get on out. If for some reason you can't post the cash, it's going to be $72. Okay. The Toyota driver was charged with hidden run, driving on roadways designated for traffic, and was later booked into county jail. The Mazda driver was allowed to go on her way, but it's safe to assume she rode that high of justice for probably days on in after this incident. On April 19th, 2024, an elderly woman in Fairfield, Ohio was seen robbing a bank at gunpoint on security camera footage. When investigated, 74year-old Anne Meyers confessed to the crime. The motive here was that the woman apparently lost her life savings to online scammers and she needed that money back. CCTV footage shows Anne walk into the credit union and place a gun in a bag on the desk in front of the teller. Then Anne moves on to repeat the process with the teller at the next desk, and that teller proceeds to give her even more money. The crime was caught on two different camera angles, providing us a better sense of the crime. However, it wasn't very long before law enforcement officers came looking for her. Did you see anybody coming in out of the house or anything or is that vehicle there? Yes, sir. It is. It's parked in the driveway in plain view. She comes out. She is armed. Yeah. Two females in the backyard up here unarmed. I'm going to go back and start at a certain point. The Fairfield police teams communicating outside Anne's house to try and detect any activity. Although she is an elderly woman, she still threatened people with a weapon, so the cops have to be careful. As they approach her house, they come into contact with Anne's sister, Margaret. I thought Oh my god. Son of a Somebody's here. Yes, babe. to me. Hi. Hands. I'm sorry. You said hands. Please, ma'am. See, come here for a second. Okay. You got to pat me down. You sweating. I tell you what. Oh, that's good enough. Okay. If I'm just going to take the flat of my hand. Yeah. Go right ahead, darling. And just I What did I do? Well, that's what we're trying to find out what's going on here. While speaking with Margaret, officers spot in in the garden. Considering what she's done recently, it's pretty unnerving that she just went about her day gardening with her sister like nothing happened. Ma'am, come here. And she was in the house and she just came out. We're shoveling sand. I'm coming. Oh my god. Can you go over there by those officers for me, please, ma'am? Uhhuh. Me or her? And I want you please, ma'am, if you could. I don't hear Well, I can't hear over here. Okay. Ma'am, do you have any weapons on you? Lord, no. What did we do? Okay. Yeah, I want you over there for me, please. Thank you. Thank you so very much, ma'am. My car is locked. That's okay. The officer searched her car while waiting for instructions from the sergeant. After a few minutes, they determined Anne was in fact their suspect, and the officers knew they'd have to take her to jail. However, the two elderly women keep up their innocent facade. We'll be releasing you guys here in a minute. Okay. Thank you so very much for helping. Just hang tight for a minute. We'll be releasing you out of here in a minute. Okay. So, we're releasing you guys. You can let you clear out of here in a minute. Oh, I thought you were talking about this. No, no, no, no. Not not right now. Okay. Just hang tight for a minute. Go with me in the house so I can eat. Ma'am, I just kind of want you to hang out for a minute. Okay. Take her back to the PD. So, real quick, ma'am. Uh this is Detective Dutra and Officer Robinson. Mhm. Uh we want to talk to you about an issue that happened today. Okay. At this point in time though, I'm going I'm going to take you into custody. If you can please sit around, put your hands behind your back for me. Okay. Just like you're praying. Are there any guns in the house, man? I'll explain this here in one minute to you. Okay. I apologize. Just give me a minute. Okay. Okay. There's a couple that don't work. Okay. Hold my mom and dad's guns. You go to rifle. Is that too tight on you, ma'am? Okay, I will make sure you're okay. And I promise you, we'll get everything situated here in one minute. Okay. I promise. Is anyone else in the house? Is anyone else in the house? No. Okay. Are there any dogs or pets or anything like that in there? Cuz we don't want them getting out or anything. Okay. No dog. No pet. All right. At this point, Ann's escorted to the back of a patrol car and she's taken into custody. It's notable how courteous they were to the old woman despite the fact that she used a deadly weapon to intimidate and coers the bank employees into giving her money. Where am I going? Ah, into one of these cars. We're going to find out which one. Sarge. It'll be all right. Huh? Here. Come here. Well, we're going to explain here in a minute. Okay. Yeah. They're going to explain it to you in a second. Yes, ma'am. Absolutely. Sister is out here. Okay. So, we're going to wait. We're take you to the police department. There's some people want to talk to you. Okay. All right. And that way is we can explain everything and go that way. I just don't want to step on their toes. Okay. All right. Are those going to be okay on you? Those are all right. Yeah, they're fine. I got popsicles. All right. I just want you to be careful. And I know you're I know you're not going to try to run in front of me, but you know what? I'm clumsy and sometimes I have a hard time. Do I look like I could run? No, I'm saying I know you're not, but I'm just holding on to you because I don't want you to fall, ma'am. No, I don't want to fall. All right. So, we're going to Yeah. Go ahead and unlock my back door for me. I got my Yeah, you're all right. It's all good. All right. Can you just pat her down real quick? One more time for me because I just did a quick vehicle for you. Okay. Have a seat for me. help. I got you. I have Okay. Oh, yeah. It's okay. Put your head in there. It's okay. All right, ma'am. Thank you so very, very much. After they placed Anne snugly in the back of the unit, it didn't take long for the woman to start revealing details to the officer. She admitted to the officer that she knew why the officers were at her house, but also maintained that her sister Margaret knew nothing about the crime and didn't want her to find out. All right. I did whatever you're here for. I'm sorry. I did whatever you're here for. Okay. What was What would that be? Okay. My sister knows nothing about it. Okay. Well, I'm going to get you to a uh where you can use the restroom here real quick. Okay. Do what, ma'am? I hope so. Yes, ma'am. But I promise you, everyone that we talk with, you are going to be just as polite and respectful as I am. Okay. And Meyers was booked and charged with aggravated robbery with a firearm and tampering with evidence. Ann's being held on a bond of $100,000. It's unfortunate the woman felt she had to go to such lengths due to an online scam. But committing a crime is no way to get justice for a crime previously done to you. As they say, two wrongs do not make a right. On the 12th of February 2022 in Florida, police were dispatched to a credit union in regards to a suspected fraud case. A woman at the credit union was trying to withdraw $10,000 from her account after her account had been placed on hold after she withdrew $10,000 from her account at another location. All right. Can I hang up my phone? 228 West 8. Right now, you're just being detained pending the investigation. Um, you're not currently under arrest, but you are being detained. Okay. Police were called by the branch manager who currently wasn't present at the time the suspect was being detained. However, after talking to another manager, the lady at the desk, the cops now had more insight about this potential fraud case. So, we got a call from another. Yeah, because I was trying to hold on to her. Is she alone? Is this game now? Who she finds are being transferred to other accounts and they're coming in to withdraw, but it appears that they are the two ones like her and they're transferring through internet banking. Then they're going to the branches and withdrawing. This morning we had her account $10,000 was withdrawn from Clara and she's saying it wasn't her and now she's here to withdraw 10,000. There was another young lady that um was with her and left this morning saying she had to pick up her child. Um but she also withdrew mom too and there were they have been there's records. Okay. But as far as her her right now, what is it that she's done right now? She she's trying to withdraw the 10,000 but she hasn't withdrawn anything. No. Our risk compliance department block it. Okay. Because they saw the scheme. So she's just here to withdraw. Money was deposited into her account this morning and she came here to withdraw it. Yes. Okay. From another account internally. Obviously, the officers couldn't leave the suspect alone, even if it was with another bank employee. The suspect revealed, however, that her brother had been killed due to police brutality and that she wasn't comfortable with officers being around her. This later became an issue when the officers were trying to question her. Can you face me, sir? I'm very I'm I'm sorry. I'm very uncomfortable. It's three officers standing over me and and and she's saying she's got anxiety. They brother that's I told you that and you're smiling good about it but it's not funny sir it's not it's not fair after declining to speak to the officers after being mirandized the suspect requested medical attention from EMS due to an anxiety attack from the traumatic experience. It was clear to the cops that it was simply an attempt to delay her questioning and arrest, but they had to follow protocol nonetheless. How are you? I'm all right. She says she's having an anxiety attack because standing over me. Okay. Well, we'll check your vitals. Okay. Your blood pressure is a little elevated, but that's to be expected. You're under, you know, emotional. No, I'm not mad about that. What I'm mad about is the fact that the police who kill young black innocent men is standing over me. That's the only thing that's I'm mad about. I ain't mad about nothing else. Well, I don't think this is racially. It ain't racist cuz he black. How that's racist. That's what I'm saying. I don't think that that has anything to do with it. Okay, I I understand you're upset. I'm upset because this man is standing over me. That's the only reason why I'm mad. I'm not mad about nothing else. If I clearly going to take me to jail, but if I ain't then I mean I'm going to have a bond regardless cuz I ain't I ain't been in trouble in a long time. So with that being I don't really know why this man is standing behind because he has to keep an eye. It's a whole glass door right there. He can stand out there and watch me. He don't have to stand behind me. It ain't nothing else I want to talk about cuz I'm sitting like what I'm saying cuz y'all trying to make it seem like because I'm black and I'm I'm under arrest, y'all ain't going to listen nothing. I'm saying the suspect was making an attempt to paint her detainment as racially motivated, accusing the cops of targeting her because of the color of her skin. Whether this was an attempt to evade arrest or due to her previous trauma, the officers here were simply doing their jobs. Do you have a print out where you can uh give me all the account information where the transfers are made? What account you know? So they do elderly. It's coming from elderly members's account. After reviewing the account history, they now deduce that money's being transferred into the woman's account. It was coming from an elderly man's bank account via internet transfer. The suspect attempted several times to withdraw the money from multiple bank locations because I didn't gave him $5,000. You gave someone $5,000 cash? Yes. My money cuz I'm trying to I'm trying to run a business and I needed somebody to double it. Like if you if I don't know if you like on Facebook or anything like that, but people like they like if you send $25,000, we going to send I mean you send $25, we going to send you $25,000. Now, that's just I don't know if that's fraud and I really never even tried that. Do you know anybody that if you gave them $50, they go, "Oh, here's 100 bucks cuz you gave me 50 bucks." I don't know. No, I'm asking you. People do it. People do it every day, sir. I don't know. Like, who does it? A lot of people here, everywhere, like all over the world. I ain't even going to lie. After reviewing more footage, police determined that the suspect had in fact tried to withdraw money earlier that day. and she describes all this as a money flipping scam that she'd somehow apparently fallen victim to. There's a common wire transfer scam in which someone would promise to double your money after you send them a set amount. But of course, anyone in their right mind would see how sketchy that is. How long has he had an account with these? These are all new accounts since the 1st of February. The three All of them. Yeah, the three of them new accounts. Mhm. Okay. Out of Appleard. That's where they opened it. Her account's new as well. Yeah. February 1st. All of them open the same day. Yes. Let me make sure. Hers I know for sure cuz I told her Kevin is two no 1:31 which is the day before. Okay. So he started the ring. Huh. He was he was he's the leader. This money transfers in his account and he distributes it to her or her. Yeah. And then they were here this morning both of them to withdraw 10. They actually got out from Karn and they did withdraw at Karn. Okay. And then they came here to withdraw. That's where we got them. How much did they get from Karn? She got 7,000 and she got 10,000. I mean, at the very minimum we can charge her with bank fraud, organized scheme, and grand theft. Despite her attempts to convince them that she was the real victim here, the investigators were smarter than she was. They learned that all three accounts were created simultaneously and that they're all affiliated with the scheme. The officers even call her bluff. How many times you think somebody breaks in a house while the people are on vacation and then puts TVs in someone's house? That I guess. How many times you think a crook hacks into someone's bank account to give them money? I guess all the time. I don't know about no bank account cuz it's I've never had nothing. Do you think all the time someone criminally hacks into a bank to give someone money? Yeah. Not only is she not a good liar, but she's only making it worse for herself by pretending she's a clueless victim. To make matters worse, the cops also learned that one account holder has actually filed a dispute against the transactions. This guy here, the elderly, the 84 years old, went to Quincy to file a dispute cuz he didn't know what was going on with his account. Poor thing. Yeah. He didn't know how they got his. Yeah. Hey, so you are going to be charged today and you're going to be taken to jail. So you are arrested. So what's the charges? You're getting bank fraud, organized scheme to defraud, and then grand theft. Sir, is these felony charges? They are. Mhm. Yeah. Bank fraud is a second degree. Organized scheme is probably going to be a second degree as well because of the amount that was taken in the process. And then grand theft, the grand theft one might be as well. You saying first participant when they don't know like I know but just based on what we have it's kind of hard to argue that you didn't know. That's that's why you're going. Okay. Um I'm just going to buckle this up for you if you want to lean up a bit. The suspect faced charges of bank fraud, grand theft, and organized scheme. She may have been a victim of a money flipping scam, but we're incredibly thankful that the elderly man whose account the money came from would definitely get his justice and get his money back. On August 9th, 2024, law enforcement was called by an apartment complex resident claiming there was an altercation with a firearm that was rapidly escalating. When police arrived on scene, the complex was in total chaos. And with everyone screaming, it was impossible to understand what was going on. Police. Hey, where's the gun? Hey, separate. Good. Hey, who had the gun? No one did have a gun. Get away. Hey, stay right there. They have a gun. Come back here. Come back here. Come back here. Stay right there. She stole rent money. She's on my lease and she took my rent money. All right. Hey. Hey. I got my hands up anyway. So, hey, stay here. Hey, stay. Hey, not for me to leave. Get out of the car now. Why? Get out of the car. Your hands up. Get out of the car. All right. Right there. Like I said, no, you're on camera. Okay, cool. I'm not going to do anything. Like I said, I came in my rent money. Her mom attacked me and so did her mom's boyfriend. All right. Well, I'm trying to figure out the whole situation. Okay. We are on a legal document together. Hey, don't stay out of the car. Stay out of the car. She took off,000. Okay. My phone. That's fine. Stay right there. I can't grab my phone. No, cuz I don't know what's in the vehicle right now. All right. I'm waiting for my back. I'm the only one here. All right. Two. The tension was obviously high among the three females, and they were yelling at the officer as he tried to diffuse things. However, they don't seem to be the brightest group as they thought it was appropriate to jump right in their car and flee the crime scene. Who had the gun? THE PERSON, a male, female. Okay. Stay here. Okay. Where's this? Where's this dude with the gun? There is nobody with a gun. All right, so can y'all just move over here, please? All my houses died. I'd rather stay there. With all the chaos going on, it was a miracle the cops were able to figure things out. They were focused on trying to find the man that was armed, but everyone they spoke to seemed worried about something else. When the cops discovered that an elderly woman in the house needed medical attention, their attention shifted to her. Come on outside right now, please. Are you hurt? What? Are you hurt? Come outside. Come outside. Come out. Let's come outside so Come outside. Hey, come outside. We're not having a discussion about this right now. Exit the residence. I want to make sure you get some aid. Okay. So, I want you to exit. Back up, please. Come on. This is my mom. I understand. She's going to get her help. Let's get Can we move? Can someone take her? Can you grab her? Give her some help. Okay. You want to go out the back? Where are you taking her? I'm just getting her away from the scene. I'll take her down here. Nope. They're right there. You can take it right there. Nope. The elderly woman was clearly injured and apparently needed medical attention. The younger woman telling the officers to separate the woman from the three girls on the street could possibly mean they had something to do with her injuries. Were you in a No, not What did you guys see? My cousin in the red beat both of them up. They fought. The grandma was here. That's why she got her knocked out. My granddaughter came in in the living room. when she's a grandma. She goes, "There's a bunch of people outside cuz she she was a roommate to one of the girls." And I I came out and then the girl started hitting me and she bit my finger. So, the girl in the black tank shop, black tank and a red bra underneath. Her hair is messy. She's got black shorts on. I need to figure out what happened today. Okay. Well, today we came here just to ask for the money back. And instead of saying, "Hey, can we talk about this?" cuz her mom immediately came out of the car and hit me. Okay. Who what does she look like? The mom is the mom is the bigger one with the Wait, wait, wait. Time out. Time out. They look alike. Okay. She's saying do we know what she was name? I don't know her name. Okay. So, would you be willing to be a victim and press charges? I want I want to sue her. She's on my lease. Okay. Is she a family member of yours at all whatsoever? I thought she was, but no, she's not. She's not blood at all. Okay. Gotcha. At this point at this point, I want to press charges. The three girls who knocked on the elderly woman's door were all friends and they were looking for her granddaughter. According to them, the granddaughter had been on their lease and had allegedly stolen rent money. When they showed up to ask for the money, they started fighting and she was you they were all fighting outside. No, when my cuz I called my daughter and my daughter come pulling in and the girl jumped out of some car and it attacked my daughter on the porch. That's when I opened the door cuz I heard banging and then the black girl uh pushed my my daughter in the house and it start punching her and then my grand my granddaughter came out. That's her mom and she started punching on her and we were trying to get her out and I was trying to get in there to call the police and then that that girl started punching on me on my head and everything. Okay. The elderly woman had clearly had a traumatic afternoon and was telling the story to the best of her abilities. However, when questioned by the officers, the group of girls tell a different story, making it difficult for the officers to determine what really went down before they were called. Like I said, I would like to press legal charges because again, we have a lease together. She knows where I live now. And now that her friends have pulled a gun out on me, I'm scared for my safety. I am a nurse. I have a lot more to lose than to do this. other people over here. Do you get what I'm saying? Do you get what I'm saying? Like I have a lot more to lose than to engage in violent activities. You say we ran into How did she steal that money? Does she like live? Like they're on the same Okay. So they took her money. She hold the mom and the boyfriend pulled up in the car. The mom jumped out and started swinging on her. So she whipped her and grandma got her. Grandma started HITTING ME. THEY STARTED hitting me too. AND THEN I STARTED JUMPING. THEY DRAGGED ME IN the house. Exactly. SHE STARTED HITTING US WITH THE PANTS. Then the man hit her and then she used to like What is that? The man with the with the gun. The man with the gun. He He hit her and then he pulled the gun out right now. You're actually detained. Okay. I'm not going to finish this investigation. What? Just chill out. Chill out. It's okay. Chill out. You're just detained right now. Okay. You're not. You're Chill out. What? What? Are you serious? I'm a whole nervous. Are you serious? Two of the girls were detained by officers as it was still unclear what really happened and what their involvement was. Afterward, and very discreetly, the elderly woman was asked to identify the suspect who had hit her to assure the officers they were arresting the right person. Ma'am, do you remember who hit you today? Yeah. You'd you'd remember them if you Okay. But but you'd be able to recognize her. Okay. So, right now we have somebody detained in handcuffs. Okay. Just cuz they're surrounded by police and just cuz they're in handcuffs doesn't mean that is the person. Okay. It's just as important to know if it's not the person as if it is. Okay. So, what we're going to do right now, we're going to put you in the back of this car. Okay. We're going to have you we're going to drive by that person. Okay. I just need you to tell this officer yes or no that is the person. And then we're going to take you down the road a little bit so the fire department can check you out. Okay. Okay. All right. We'll help you out. I'll just explain it real quick. Okay. So, I'll have you look out the window and I want you to just say yes or no if that's the person you recognize. Okay. Look out the car. Look at the car that is positive 1 William 32 positive identification. Let's get her out of here. Hold on. Can you say what's going on for you guys? For what? They touched me first. Hold on. Hold on. How is it assault if someone touches you first? I need a question. No, you guys keep trying to tell me I just assaulted somebody. Look at me. How am I assaulting someone? I would like to get your statement. But you guys are arresting me. He just He didn't say that I was He didn't say that I was getting arrested. He just said I was just Hey, I need you to chill out. Otherwise, we're just going to have to put you in the car. You understand? Walk with me to the car so we can talk about what happened. We got to give a shout out to this very patient officer. She talked this very irate woman down from her temper tantrum over being arrested. After being read her rights, now we hear the suspect's side of the story. The mother came out the car and started hitting me. Not once did I touch that lady. Who's Who's the mother? I don't know her name. I don't know her. The only person I know here is the one right there that I can see through the trees. I don't know the mom. Which is why when she got out the car saying, "Who is this? Who are these Bob? What's the problem?" I She She came up to me trying to hit us. What's your Who are you? Who are you? I'm not touching nobody cuz I don't even know who you are. Who are you? You're trying to get at me. You're trying to hit me. Her man is trying to stop her talking. He's talking mess as well, but he's also trying to stop her from hitting any of us. So he's trying to stop her. Where where is he at? I don't know. He's the one that had the gun. Yeah, that's the same person that had the gun. That was the only man here. Then she pushes me. I tell her, "Do not touch me. Do not touch me." She pushes me again. Do not touch me. Then she stops me in my face. That's when I touched her. As she stops me in my face, her grandmother opens the door and the grandmother starts hitting me, too. So, two people now are on me after I didn't even touch the mom. I did not touch the mom outside yet the grandma didn't open the door. So, how am I getting arrested for assault? The woman the elderly woman identified claimed that she only touched anyone in defense of her own safety. However, when the one girl who claimed to be a nurse was given a chance to give her own statement, things didn't exactly go the way she hoped. Like, we all came here just to talk. I just wanted to talk to her. I've been best friends with her for 11 years. Fight back at all. No degree. No, I got hit. Okay. I got hit. How could I fight back to a man? I got hit by a man. So, they're PC. Okay. It's DV because they're former roommates. So, let's get her out of here and let's question her someplace else that's not right here. Okay, perfect. Okay, so she's under arrest. She's under arrest at this point for assault for at this point. We got to figure out if there's more to it. But I definitely want to finish up with her state and I just don't want to do it here. There's too many there's too many moving parts here. This is horrible. Let's go. We're going to go in the back seat. Okay. I have so much to lose. Hey, just because you're under arrest doesn't mean you're convicted of a crime. This is horrible. I've never been arrested. I've never been arrested. I'm literally like, you have anything on your person. You're under No, I don't. So, I'm just going to search your person. No, I don't have anything on me. I don't have anything on me. We have to search. It's It's policy that we search, so I didn't come in here with ill intent. I just wanted to talk. All right. Go ahead and face the car. I just wanted to talk. The woman in the black tank top was charged with assault and burglary for forcing her way into the elderly woman's home. The woman in red sweatpants got a domestic violence charge for hitting her roommate. Before officers arrived, the supposedly armed man fled the scene and was never located. On the 30th of May 2022 in Witchah, Kansas, law enforcement responded to a frantic call made by an elderly man named Charles. He wanted his female caretaker, Patricia, out of his house, but she claimed that she lived there. Fearing potential elder abuse, officers rushed to the scene. What's going on, Charles? Nothing. Okay. He's a confessor. Okay, ma'am, do me a favor. Do me a favor. I want to talk to him. Let me finish. I want to talk to you. And I want to get two good stories from each other. So, can we can we have you step in another room and talk to my partner so that we can talk to him by himself? Yeah. This might be my dad. Why don't we go outside? Well, I'm telling y'all now. I'm not going nowhere because I live here. If he gives you a cigarette, will you step out and talk to my partner? Yeah. You going Can you stay out of my face? I'm not in your face. Thank you. and you my babies and my mama. You going to death row. I swear on your life. You a stupid mother and I still ain't going nowhere. Despite Charles being the one who called the police to remove the woman from his house. She's claiming that she lived there and wouldn't leave. Her outrageous claim against the man caught the officers offg guard. So they questioned them separately to get to the bottom of things. You see how fast they got here? Yeah, but my babies is Oh god. I swear on that mother don't like What's your relationship with this woman? She staying here with you? You say she don't live here? He getting his feelings and he want to call y'all for what? Nothing. But y'all watch me all my day. Y'all watch me all day. Been watching me for 37 years, man. I don't know you. She saying she lives here. Okay. Does she stay here with you? No. Mhm. What was we out here for yesterday? I don't know. He just got same stuff. It was evident that this was an ongoing problem. Charles had made previous attempts to remove Patricia from the house, but they'd all been unsuccessful. Meanwhile, the woman was focused on her violent claims against Charles to evade answering officers questions. What happened today? Anyway, I don't know. He just got mad. Get in his feelings and he want to call y'all. But I live here like he lives here. Okay. And like why? Why did he call? What happened? Because he's in his feelings. Cuz he's a confessor. What is in his feelings? Because let me show you something. Come here. Let me show you something. This is why he called y'all. Okay. I said he's going to death row. I said my name is Patricia. I'm the owner of everything. I run the gym. I own the jail. 32764. I own everybody in jail in the whole United States of America. This confessing my mom and my babies. My babies was buried in the back of yard. Okay. But they come speeding over here like I didn't somebody. I never killed nobody in my life. Speed over here. This [ __ ] didn't kill 275 people. It fell so loosely off my lips. And sometimes I got to be right. All right. What's your name? I just told you right now. Come on. Let me show you something. Hold on. Ma'am. Ma'am. Come on. Let's Why here? Ma'am, do you want to know why y'all here? Right. Just come here for a minute and then then we can go over there. Cuz he already know what I'm about to show him. He already know what I'm going to show him. Could you You're on like a 10 right now. No, I know. If it was your babies, if it was your babies, ma'am, and your mama, what would you do? We need He would have that a long time ago like he just said in his mind. It's weird. She's accusing Charles of murdering her mother and her babies, but somehow she still lives with him under one roof. Something in her story just isn't adding up, and she seems to be telling it to an imaginary audience. How do you know him? I've been knowing him for years. Well, actually, he's not even the person that he say he is. Do you take care of him? Yes. Why do you take care of him? Because the state asked me, Trish, do you want to be his home health provider? I say yes. How Okay. How are you related to him? We're not related. Are you friends? We I would say that we're friends, but every time he get in his feelings, he want to, you know, put me out. I'm like, what did I do? I asked you for a I asked you for a cigarette. I asked you for a cigarette. You want to call the You want to put me out over a cigarette? Yeah, I just cleaned your whole house. Trisha, he got my information. He doesn't. You telling me? He He just wrote my information down. Okay, but I I I want to show y'all know. I would like to have your name for what? For my record, by the way she's behaved so far, the cops probably suspect she has some sort of mental illness. So, they made their very best effort to approach things here with compassion and respect. What's the biggest problem here today? Why are we here? Y'all really y'all really supposed to be arresting him. Well, what are we going to arrest him for? For murder of my babies. I just said that. How many babies? Would you like to see where? Come on. Sure. Let's go see. They're not down there no more. How long you been living here? I saved them. How long have you lived here? Are they down there still there? Oh, duh. Because your father has blocked me from How long have you lived here? I've been here for like three months. Okay. So, you you uh you just care for him or what? No, I live here. Live here. Cuz you don't have any clothes in there. Where's all your clothes? When I got out of jail, I had no clothes. I'm sorry. Look. Look. Come here and look. I just Come here and look. I'm looking. I I I can see your phone. I don't see anything on I don't see that. I don't I'm video recording it. Okay. He don't see that. I don't see what's on that. What's on What What's on it? Patricia became agitated that the officers couldn't see what she was trying to show them. She then stormed off towards the entrance of the house and lost her temper a bit when the cops tried to catch up with her. From this point on, she escalated things unnecessarily. Patricia. Hey, what? Calm down. For what? For what? Why are you getting so angry? Get the out there. Hey, you might tripping. Y'all is tripping. Y'all not like if those were y'all back. You know what? It don't even matter. Y'all racist. Hang on. Come here. We're not going to step down there and talk. No, I want to get my purse so I can leave. Where's your purse? I'll get it for you. I don't want you touching nothing, Lamar. Okay. Well, I can't pay y'all nothing. I'm not letting you back in. I can't pay y'all nothing. be a broke mother like y'all and y'all going to death row. Okay. Can you step down off the porch for me? I live here. Why? Can you step down off Can you get out my face? I'm not in your face. Oh, thank you so much. What does your purse look like? I'd be happy to get it for you. Why y'all acting like y'all didn't see that in the backyard? Patricia took off down the road out of frustration at the officers. It took a little bit of back and forth from dispatch to confirm who she really is and what her background is. The cops eventually discovered she had multiple warrants out for her arrest, so they took steps to detain her. Hey, Patricia, stop. Stop. Stop. Okay. What? We're positively identifying you. As of right now, I'm going to detain you. Oh, god. You are detained. But what? What are they for? What are they for? What I want to know? What are they for? ID you right now. Go ahead. What is your mother? I'm a mother. Oh, that's what they did. Hand. Give me your hand. Give me your hand. Give me your hand. I DO NOT GIVE ME YOUR HAND. You mothering. I'm a because this ain't [ __ ] You need to calm down. Get the [ __ ] me. Then you need to calm down. Get off of me. Calm down. You all right? I got 11. For what? For what? The judge. This what they did to my sister and they stomped her. Stomped her to DEATH AND CHOPPED HER UP. You did that. Nothing going to happen. Yeah, you did. You did that. Get your off. You That's a quit touching me. Still stuck in her bizarre delusions, she continued shouting nasty insults at the officers while they were holding her down. She also maintained that the officer's actions were racially motivated and denied she had warrants out for her arrest. Eventually though, they were finally able to get her in the back of the squad car. He was a mother. He was me in the jail. You got that arm. He was in jail. He wasing me in the jail. Going to say my dad was breaking into the jailing me. That was this I hate you mother prejudice. I hope God brought in heaven with the Lord. Don't lock up. Don't lock up. I'mma kill you mother kick me again. You're going to the ground just like y'all did my sister. Mother, I can't wait now. I'm about to go to death row soon as we get down there. Get in there. You you I HATE YOU. SEAN, 37-year-old Patricia was arrested for resisting or obstructing and battery on a household member. She clearly had little control over herself and hopefully she'll get the psychiatric treatment she needs for her mental conditions. On May 6th, 2022, police responded to a follow-up investigation regarding an ongoing fraud case. An elderly woman's credit card had been fraudulently charged numerous times and had been used that morning to book a hotel room. When the cops arrived at the hotel room, they found the woman's daughter. Hey, can Alison come on out? Hey. Um, yeah. I was just on the phone with my mom. They weren't supposed to charge the um I don't want the um They weren't supposed to charge the room. It was supposed to hold the room. It says on the app. Like I just talked to my mom about that. Well, for her visa. Yeah. Like I didn't even know her visa was on there. So I wanted to talk to you last week before all this. About what? About here. Actually, I'll tell you what. Because I want to talk to you about it. I'm going to read you your rights because the nature of what I'm asking you about. The reason I wanted to talk to you last week was about the charges on her Target card from the weekend. From what? From last weekend. So, I was called. She had charges on her card. Didn't know who it was. Um, but they were over the weekend. They were over the weekend and they were at Target with their Target card. So, That was the initial reason that I was called. Do you have any clue about the charges on her card? No, she said something about her. Um, I got to look at my text messages, but uh, no, I don't have her target card. So, she has it. It's in her possession. Yeah. Okay. I'm asking if you know about the charges. No. After the officer brought up the prior incident about the fraudulent transactions at Target, the daughter denied knowing anything about it. She said she had her mom's car at the time, but was not the one who used the card. So, they did get footage of someone using it. Now, our process takes a little longer to have access to the footage, but they described a younger female that matches your description. So, eventually we're going to look at that footage. Is it going to be you on the camera using her credit card? Because I I I don't have her card. I I'm telling you, I know that she has it. I understand that, but there's only so many people in her life who could have gotten into her home, picked up the card, went to the store within the time frame that you borrowed her car, and then returned the card to her purse. There's not a whole lot of people would have access like that. I wasn't even home in the times that she said that the charges were happening. No, it sounds like you borrowed her car on like a Thursday and you brought it back on what was it, Sunday? Uh, Monday morning. Monday morning. So that same time that you picked up our car and brought the car back was the same time that the credit card was same window that the credit card was used within. So I could totally see a scenario where when you go to pick up the car Yeah. grab a card. No, I definitely use it for the weekend. Bring it back. All right. Cuz there's going to be footage of whoever used the card at the store just so happened to have you using her card here. No, I used the choice hotel account to hold the room because they were going to book up. They're not supposed to charge anything. It's It says on it no prepayment or anything like that. So, you don't have her Visa card with you? No. Would you be willing to show that like your wallet or your purse doesn't have any of her credit cards in there? Yeah, absolutely. The young woman blamed the hotel for mistakenly charging her mother's Visa card, claiming she used a different account. However, when she provided officers proof by letting them search her wallet, they were surprised to find her mother's old ID inside. Why is it that you had mom's ID with your stuff? Oh, that was um that's it's an expired one. So when I had to do her I used to her basically system. So I do all of her payments, everything for her and I just This is like expired two years ago. Yeah. Yeah. I used to work for her. Well, why not just have your own choice account? Why not? Like why still use it with hers? to try and get free nights. Being in possession of the old ID was a glaring red flag. It's also a red flag that she no longer handles her mother's finances. Additionally, admitting she was buming free hotel rooms off her mother's account was pretty damning in and of itself. So, they want to verify when I gave you my ID, I gave you my ID, my card. Correct. Do you guys have it saved like on file? What ID and what card was given initially? Yeah. The first time you pay it on with a credit card entered in 4262, Mastercard, that was on April 27th. And is there still money owed right now or is she all paid? Well, with this credit card, this uh is my brother in charge for tonight, tomorrow. Was there any like $200 charges on there? 240ish uh for tonight for this morning. Yeah. Okay. 24. All right. And that Oh, that's my cat. Is that through the app through like a website or through an application or is that you make a reservation on choice.com? Yes. You make a reservation with choice central reservation choice and she pay with a credit card belong to pump sport medicine. My mom's card and this is the lady who called me and say that that somebody stole her credit card from her. Now, she was caught using two credit cards that weren't hers. And to make matters worse, the cop decided to make a phone call to the mother to verify the statement the daughter made. During the phone call, the officer learns the full extent of the woman's lies, as well as her obvious attempts to evade arrest. The uh the charges today, it seemed like they were done through a choice app. Is there an app that you all have shared together in the past? So, you've never had the Choice app for hotels and you never put your card in any kind of Choice app. And this one is a new card. The last one you canled. Okay. Have you ever given her permission to have your ID? My ID? No. Your Florida driver's license, even an old expired one that expired in 2020. Uh, no. Okay. She said that she she had one and she said it was cuz she used to help you take care of certain like bills or something like that. Jesus, she worked in my office, but I had to stop down because she was writing checks and stuff. It seems like this officers unraveled every lie she told him. However, toward the end of their phone call, the elderly woman raised concern for her granddaughter, who was supposed to be with her daughter, but was nowhere to be found. Was there supposed to be somebody else staying in the room with you? My daughter. Is she okay now? Where is she at now? Um, my brother-in-law passed away on Friday. Sorry to go. Um, she's at my sister-in-law's house. Okay. Um, the choice app that you said you all shared. Mhm. Okay. Your mom said she's never been part of a choice app or never used a choice app. She is. She uses the window and the choice and the Hilton. Okay. She said that she's had to cancel her card because her card kept ending up on those accounts and the card that's on there now um she just replaced as recently as a month and a half ago. At this point, it was more than obvious that the woman was stealing from her mother and lying about it. But she'd also left her teenage daughter with her grieving sister-in-law, who shouldn't have been burdened with taking care of someone. The cops detained the woman while they were finalizing the details of her arrest. For now, I am going to put you in cuffs. It doesn't mean you're going to jail. I want to make a phone call. My supervisor, talked to her about this, but for now, I need you to set these things down real quick. Okay. Do you have anything sharp on you going to put me here? Anybody? Anybody else in the room now? Yeah. Really quickly, I just got to fill this pocket in front of you. You got nothing in here? No. Okay. All right. You can go ahead and sit down. I'll get the AC blast in here. If you want the window cracked, just let me know. I just talked to my supervisor and you are going to be going today, okay? I'm going to be straight forward about that. It's that's what we got to do. She was charged with unlawful use of a credit card and possession of another person's ID. The video footage from Target confirmed that she was indeed the one who used her mother's card. It's one thing to steal from the elderly, but it's the lowest of low to steal from family. Elder abuse and defrauding the elderly are some of the most despicable crimes anyone can commit. Most older people have spent a lifetime working for their money, and taking advantage of them is just downright evil. No one should get away with this, and whatever the price, they deserve to suffer the consequences.
