a very peculiar thief and an equally unique cop the whole thing started when an 18-year-old named Nicole was called shoplifting at a local Walmart in Pullman Washington as it turned out Nicole was the amount of mer she has that cart which is the stuff outside the door um she selected the cat stuff groceries stuff and bakery um walked over to the produce wall there by the grocery door and then turned and went out the grocery door and I stopped driving the sidewalk perfect you're going to type everything me looks like a clearcut case of shoplifting to me with video proof to back it but let's now turn to the suspect and see what she has to say about it I doubt she'll have anything smart to say but I'm interested to hear what it is also she seems anxious to tell us something stay seated Nicole don't be standing up please don't arest me please yeah what we go please sir I be the witness I have at work I have to go to work today please no he promised me there was no cops involved I said if you did not come with me I would have to call the cops Nicole this is a notification of restriction propy this means your trespass from all Walmarts in the United States you can never come $800 not surprisingly an experienced shoplifter like her had an explanation for everything however her reasoning makes no sense or it's downright stupid we needed something to eat like a c one wouldn't be good like you just were like I'm stealing I finally grabbed something like the most expensive one I didn't know it was that expensive cuz you were going to steal it I didn't know was that expensive I didn't look at the prices yeah some more cookies I was we were hungry my boyfriend has to have sweets he's diabetic okay see what else we got Twinkie I in a lot of sweets cat tree my cats needed it cuz they keep clawing at the walls I don't want to get charged with damage to the trailer yeah I mean it's easier like if you're going to steal something if you're if you're going to damage someone's property to steal right a mug a mug a mug six bucks I didn't take a mug wow she stole a cat tree so the cats would stop damaging the property they rented she really thought this through automatic litter box I mean a cat's got a poop somewhere right $140 scoop free what is that is that a litter box automatic litter box yes an automatic litter box like a regular one wouldn't have worked I couldn't find one you couldn't find a regular one you just got the most expensive litter box see Nicole there's a big difference between uh being hungry and we were hungry but I didn't need a litter box and that was the only one I found no no no there's a big difference between being hungry and then uh and then what you did here I think you know that you know that oh boy I don't know detain Nicole despite her begging and pleading she pretended to be trying but everyone could see she was faking it after being searched she was taken to the squad car at that point she starts saying she has a medical condition that makes her steal stuff but that's not all she even attempts to blame it all on her boyfriend let me call my mom please I need to call make sure my boyfriend knows where I'm at yeah face the car please sir well this will be a good lesson maybe he will learn not to send you to Walmart to steal I if I tell you something he said if I didn't go steal it he was going to day of the week and twice on Sunday Garrison did you tell Nicole that you were going to kill her if she didn't come back with full hands no didn't threaten to kill her if she didn't steal for you no do you know why she'd say that no that don't make no sense to you no you don't have an ID no I lost it you have anything any sort of identification um identification on her phone your ID's on her phone well Nicole was definitely lying and her boyfriend well maybe he's lying through his teeth too there's something sus about both of them after all was said and done the young man wasn't charged with anything and Nicole spent 6 hours in jail before she was released just like the officer said she was eventually sentenced to 10 days in jail which was later converted to 80 hours of community service when it comes to stealing stuff some thieves are really Innovative this next suspect for example decided to go on a cruise however it later turned out that it was all probably part of a larger scheme the suspect didn't get to enjoy much of her trip though the moment she stepped on board the ship she was detained by security and the cops were called but of course she tried to wiggle her way out did somebody ask you to come on the cruise ship and do something uh no she just no uh no she just watched she just watched go ahead nothing what did she tell you to do whatever she is listen but it should be my name though why did the person tell you to come on the cruise today you've never been on a cruise before you booked your cruise recently who told you to come on the cruise someone booked the cruise and they told us to uh you know they asked about the EXC surgence and basically it was something to do to get away so someone told you to book the Cru they booked it for you uh who is that talk about I don't know her how did you find out about her so some stranger just no they would no it was on the internet it was on the internet so some stranger on the internet that you don't know basically say said hey I'll pay for your cruise if you do what if you do what no you had toay you have to pay them you have to cash out money and everything the woman claims she found an online ad about a cruise ship and she paid it in cash she says she didn't know who booked her trip or how however the suspect looks like she just couldn't care less about the situation instead of being pissed for getting scammed everything about her says she's being deceitful her story is full of discrepancies and when asked a specific question her answers are always vague so what did you pay her how much yeah how much did you pay her huh how much did you pay her uh just a couple hundreds you paid her a couple hundred to go on a cruise give me a number $500 $500 uh to go on this Cruise today yes what did that $500 give you oh um here and to go on the excursions excursions yeah but we never did the excursions though how much should it cost to f a cruise today how much did it cost I don't know he told me I ow sway 100 so who's the lady what's her name I don't know her name then how did you pay her cuz I went through I don't know the lady name I don't I barely even know the lady like that but I she paid 500 $100 to be on the ship today even though it cost you over $1,200 to actually be on the ship so who paid for the difference uh she said all I had to do was just pay for my flight imagine a Cruise agency that pays for your vacation and all you have to do is get there there must be a catch the female officer keeps asking if the suspect was tasked to do something on the ship which would be a logical reason for someone to pay for her vacation however the woman just denies everything just listen to her stumble over her own lies no one in their right mind is going to let you pay zero like $500 for a voyage that's well over $1,200 for you to do absolutely nothing and you don't even know this person so I thought it was a scam I just yeah I thought it was but she I just I why did you think that because she was saying she could do it and then so did she said what can you repeat that H I'm not sure what you said can you repeat this I thought I was going to be able to do it but she told me to just book The U ticket and then she was like you know y leave yeah leave and then what uh come here and then what be on the Cru mhm and do what uh she said we do the drinking um sh I ain't even did I mean do the drinking yeah do the drinking get off the get off the bat do what we need to do other than that that's it since the credit cards used to book the trip were reported stolen the cops then read the suspect her rights it seems she has has a fake ID as well but the officers aren't interested in that at least for now at the moment their main concern is getting to the bottom of the case of the stolen credit cards but that will prove to be a harder task than they anticipated i f to get locked up we're going to get to that fake real real okay yes all right where's the credit cards I don't have any the CR cards you you tried to use wait what you mean I haven't tried to use anyone uh credal on here huh I haven't tried is this your purse yeah they not no deit on from on here are these yours this is your purse correct yeah so what we using to pay for the ship the drinks the food they said it was already paid for so truth is it wasn't already paid for the ship's officer claims that the suspect tried to make purchases with a different credit card that also bounced but they have no proof the cops however are pretty convinced that this is a huge scam most likely the aim was to get cash from the stolen credit card without having to use it at an ATM you said the lady that booked the cruise for you with her card I guess yeah you guess you said that uh she also booked the excursions for you prior to you getting on the ship yeah and then what you were supposed to come aboard cancel the excursions so she got the money back yes no is that what was happening I you do know she tell you to to cancel them I just canc yeah so you didn't answer my question she tell you to can that's what she told you to do I go she told you to go ahead and cancel the Excursion so she gets the money back uh right the uh but she uh they said we can't get money back anyway the ship's manager then explained that they got notified by their onshore office that there were fraudulent activities with a credit card on the ship even though two separate cards were used to book the trip and spend money on board both cards were flagged as unauthorized however the ship security does not know the name of the card holder and with no proof now the cops need to check the fake ID so all getting kicked off you're getting charged you're getting charged with a felony for possessing a fake ID yes that's happening okay you got you got involved in this thing and this is how it's ending you knew it was a possibility correct they probably told you there was no way they do that L the the ID didn't have nothing to I know but we're still charging you for it okay do you understand you got into this okay you're still not willing to can I let her know that I'm no you're under arrest all courtesy is gone okay you been arrested before never try you want to help yourself start talking you don't want to help yourself I don't really care you got yourself into this mess they told you what's going to happen and they told you how to do this whole scam you understand do you yes you're a big girl you understand exactly what happened you thought it was going to be the fake ID she'd be walking free right now that ID is the only thing the cops have on her if they don't find more proof they can't charge her for the stolen credit cards so in this situation silence extremely unhelpful didn't want to helpself okay charger with it and then I just dump it in or I could write in she was very sorry for what she did what she understood she got involved in the Scamp she had no idea about it I didn't that's what I was just explaining to her you that I didn't I never knew it was a scam the excursions or you knew that credit card wasn't good and you told them when to do the buyback on that thing you think that's legal say it again the buyb on the cruise Excursion do you think that's legal no I never did a buy back I think this cop was so Furious because he realized the suspect might walk free and in the end he didn't manage to get her to confess even the female officer gave it a shot shot and inquired about the lady that booked the cruise who who is the lady that's the question because you told me the lady who is who is an someone I met person yeah but you see how I said someone who I met remember we talk about you're not helpings for the okay if you you think in the comments below July 28th 2023 in Roswell Georgia a Russian employee of a local Walmart who by the way speaks very little English was caught stealing goods from the store Walmart's asset protection agents have already observed her illegal activity in the past several days as they were ready to arrest their Thief now it was time for the cops to be called oh we been investigating an employee uh she's working right now um so we're just going to go ahead and prosecute it's uh 20 you have the blueberries yet no and then usually we we down interview and get statements and stuff but there's kind of a tough language barrier so she works it she doesn't speak English she does it's just I wouldn't be able to sit there and like do my interview process that we do for employees there is a language barrier understand so we got the employees side of the story it's not likely that they would lie about something like this and send a person who's innocent to jail but just in case woman was caught stealing at a Nordstrom store it probably wasn't too difficult for security to apprehend her and call the cops but wait till you hear about all the stuff she's been stealing that's what we're talking about all right so Shane her Burns I began watching her hair okay there's a whole list in times of every time she took something she had these bags in there sealing it in her thing okay then I spent a bunch of time in a fitting room for an hour and a half before she went upstairs though she took that off the card discarded the card in the trash and then took the elor so that showed her intent from the beginning already but so her then she took the rest of us put in her carart went out to was going to go out to her car she exit the store her claim is that she was going to her car to get her wall but what I'm trying to explain to you is you can try and tell me that all this you walked out with by accident the fact that you discarded the car she put these three things in bag yeah yeah we I've got she did it all under the camera so it's whose bag is that yours that's hers that's from here no that's her her bag okay but I took a picture of all this so there's stuff in the bag too no that's her bra okay yeah she was trying to on dresses you can see right away that the employees are amazed at the amount of goods this granny wanted to steal imagine what she did when she was a teen but I guess age has gotten to her so she had to slow down like a lot of geriatrics what she says doesn't make much sense listen to her try to make an excuse for herself I was running questions you understand this after the the officer read the suspect to wrs he swore in the employee before taking her official statement it looks like this agent followed the elderly Thief throughout her stay in the store this gives us a unique perspective on how this thief operates and it looks like all of this was well planned not just a Spur the moment type thing okay so I Saw Penny enter the men's department she selected various uh items concealed them inside her little rly cart proceeded to go to the men's department select clothing and fragrances and kept concealing them inside these huge bags hiding them in that yeah they were in the rolly thing then she selected some jewelry and then headed over to the es elevator then when she got off the elevator cuz she was taking the jewelry off the cart in the elevator when she got off the elevator she threw the card in the trash and had already concealed the necklace in her what did the card have on it like it had a necklace it's B what was on the card like the scanner and the price okay yeah so she just had the the necklace in her purse naked right um then she Ted around upstairs for a little bit tried on some dresses finally went back downstairs where she concealed a few more men's clothing items inside the bag um and then she worked her way out to the South entrance and exited without making any attempt to purchase what she had concealed in her bag did you watch this um on camera or on the floor both both they have cameras everywhere now and on Thief can't even hide in the elevator anymore anyway the suspect was told she was being trespassed for the next 18 months but the catch is she's not being trespass just from Nordstrom they're banning her from the entire mall and the surrounding property so you can't come onand Mall property at all okay if you come on Mall property in the next 18 months you're subject to arrest okay and that's on video the her being told that cuz they always come back and like I know you're on video and you've been you've been what do you mean Mall property Mall property so anywhere in the mall not just Nordstrom the entire like the you know how there's a Ring Road around the mall you can't come anywhere within that how do I get my gown to the I was call and have somebody bring it to you have have somebody else pick it up for you she was in the midst of altering it I had she wasn't at how casual she is after being arrested for shoplifting but that's about to change because she attempted to steal over $850 worth of idols and that equates to a felony and it looks like the basically you just get a citation for the first one and you go to jail for the other one if she knew that maybe she would have paid attention to how much she steals but she still seems to be confused about what's going on misdemeanor you could have been released with a notice to up here but nope it's a felony amount law dictates how much a felony amount is anything over $270 is a felony amount doing what do you mean should I call got like no you're under arrest you can call somebody when you get down to the jail you're going to jail there's no way you no it's a felony amount you have to go to jail you are now suffering the consequences of your actions put your hands against um I'm putting your dress in your bag I I have to search you so going to let you know touching your areas can I call my husband I got to find my phone that's what I was going to find well we you can't leave here to go find your phone so now that she knows she's going to jail notice how the Granny's entire demeanor suddenly changes she was sitting so casually swaying her legs letting the cops do their thing like nothing out of the ordinary was taking place but now she starts holding her hands together with her legs clenched it's obvious she's getting worried is there anything at all I can do no no you did it you committed fony theft and you're going to County Jail there's no if we don't prosecute they do we don't uh have any say in it the judge does so when you take me to jail what happens I'm going to take you to the PD you're going to go to our holding facility we're going to process the paperwork all of your property we're going to transport you to the county jail and Gun Club Road in West Palm Beach and you'll either bond out or stay there till first appearance where you'll see the judge and then State you know then from then on you're in in their care and custody and to do with whatever they do with you okay so um on when do we find out how on out you'll have to talk to them down there once we take you to County Jail you're out of our hands you're in the you're in the justice system then with the with the judge and the and the uh the correctional facility then the lady says she needs medication yada yada yada but the officer doesn't cut her any slack to be fair he couldn't help her even if he wanted to but still he did show a certain level of disdain for the thief yeah they will have what I have I that's not my problem y i i i feel I feel for you have medication you have to take but you you think if it was that important you wouldn't do a felony amount of theft where you go to county jail and you're without it I didn't plan on stealing this stuff I know you don't believe me but I didn't I was going out to find my I don't believe you CU you removed some of the stuff from the items that would that would that would prevent it from being the necklace that I didn't even remember doing but that's all right I I don't know what else but if I could call my husband he could at least know we're not going to be the officer sounded so harsh that the employees kind of toned it down a little the female sat down next to the suspect asking her to sign the trespassing papers and explaining what it means she explained about facial recognition and other security systems so that the suspect wouldn't even think of coming back just know that we have facial recognition you know how I took a picture of you so now it's going to go in the computer and the minute you step foot inside any door belonging to Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack Where is the it's over on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard so in case you go I'm just telling you then our computers start blinking your picture comes up and it tells us exactly where and when you enter and then you'll be arrested for unlawful um violation of this order so the unlawful entry okay what you'll be used for sign right there jeez we know how scile old people get them I wouldn't be surprised to see this lady in shoplifter back in April 2022 a young woman was creating such a disturbance in the store that the manager called the cops just a remover they weren't even aware she was stealing stuff along the way this is the moment the officers arrived at the mall has she stolen anything no excuse me ma'am the big problem is they want you to leave they've asked you to leave this is a private business they can ask anybody to leave the they want I can't come back uh well they do want to trespass you I believe but um the most important thing is if a business owner ask you to leave you're supposed to leave the permit you can actually be arrested he actually told me that he wasn't the owner and that he was just a manager well the manager said she had she had asked you to leave as well bottom line is though if a business asks you to leave you have to leave it's a private business they can do that someone can do it at their house too if someone's if you're at someone's house and they say hey Jasmine we want you to leave and you say no they didn't say they didn't want me to leave they said they wanted me to stop TR on okay oh may have been a miscommunication what she told me was that they asked you to leave and you got nasty and we're swearing and just making our fuz you said you just said you said suck my and I was like well I don't have we don't need to repeat that anymore say that to you sir removed from the premises and most likely trespassed pretty straightforward she acted rude said some stuff and now she's about to leave and that'll be the end of it right well as I've said things are never that simple have you ever been trespassed anywhere before no okay so the way this works is if you come back for any reason within the next year that's as long as it can be valid for just a year this next year listen carefully if you come back for any reason you can go to jail okay so just you can go anywhere else in the mall that depends on the judge you'll go to jail you get booked and you'll have a trial and the judge will determine if you what's your sentences but you need to leave right now otherwise I'll take you to jail today I mean I'm going to leave right now but I'm going to come back in here regardless because if you do they're going to tell us they going to take me to jail yeah but I'm not going to be in jail for long and then they just don't let me so Jasmine I need became obvious when the anti- theft scanner beat as she was walking out once the officer heard the beep he realized a theft was committed and asked the employees about it the state of floridae prefers in cases like this that we issue what's called a trespass warning that's basically a civil not shocking it is was that their was that their uh do you want to follow up on that well she's trespass War so she comes back call us she beat whenever she walked out just let it go well I kind of figured something was out but you want to follow up on it or no um I mean I don't know if we could check her back then yeah well we have we have reasonable suspicion at this point instead of bolting out of that mall the suspect decided to play it cool and continued shopping the officers tracked her down at the Foot Locker store and confronted her they explained that the alarm sounded and that they wanted to check out if she was carrying any stolen items hey Jasmine sorry so when your bag went when you went through the security checkpoint your bag went off okay I'm going to need to check your bag to make sure you didn't steal any merchandise this is the shirt that what's called These Are My Pants Jasmine didn't look worried for a second she immediately started taking stuff out of her bag but in fact she was trying to pull a trick by taking a few items out of her bag saying they were hers the moment she was asked to hand over the bag she became combative okay hold on I need you to put this down for me I don't want you reaching in there anymore stop right now get off my bag let go let go to the car without creating any more problems sounds like a good deal right the only problem is is that Jasmine is a spoiled entitled brat and I don't think she'll follow through with her promise you going to get up and walk his number is 855 hold on I'm not going to call we get to the car until we in the car once we're in the car I will call it stand up for us put your hands behind your back different retailers with a total value of $13.48 she was charged with petty theft resisting without violence resisting with violence two counts of battery on an officer and assault on an officer let's
