until we go to court of course we were all kids at one point and a lot of us enjoyed making prank calls to unsuspecting people and then saying something stupid and hanging up on them but most of us did not think about calling and pranking the police well in today's videos the suspects did just that not right now is telling you that you need a female officer to search let me do it they keep trying to touch my whether it was caused by mental illness an insane sense of entitlement or just plain old childishness these prank calls ended up biting them in the behind join me as I uncover cases where prank calling went too far right at the start I'm going to throw a curveball at you this first clip is not a real prank call although it might seem that way a paranoid person staying at the Comfort Inn in Sweets Hotel kept calling the front desk and 911 screaming into the phone and threatening that she had weapons at one point she appeared to have been fighting with an unknown person finally the officers responded to a call about a disorderly guest it was 42-year-old April Garcia got it April what is going on I keep I keep hearing things can we come in and I can't call I I can't call out okay and this is what's been happening all day why why are you saying that you have weapons you have weapons because I cuz I'm scared I keep hearing stuff and I I can't call 911 all your 911 calls are going through they've had multiple I don't feel safe okay what has changed since we were last per oh no I just got these bad vibes okay I'm sorry I ruined the screen I'm sorry I yelled why don't you sit down over there cuz I don't want you to have access to these something fishy and when it fishy my hair stands up H so April is obviously paranoid mental health is not something to be trifled with it can be extremely difficult for a person suffering from a serious mental condition especially paranoia paranoid persons often feel the whole world is against them which can even make them aggressive towards others kudos to this officer for handling this situation in the best way possible and trying to resolve the situation for the well-being of all parties involved and I couldn't I was having trouble getting getting through at first okay and it's like someone's still in my iPad or something cuz I hear I can tell the quality and I want to make sure I had my settings and no one was coming fast enough and I kept hearing the same [ __ ] that I was hearing I'm so sorry about the screen you can charge me I am just what can we do to help you I just I want to be with somebody okay who can we call I just I keep feeling like each all over me like who can we call April uh can can I just sit downstairs and definitely can't hang out the lobby all night cuz I don't know what the front desk girl thinks right now cuz she was afraid cuz you were calling her too you were calling 911 maybe it's because they're still tapping and it was making it difficult to call 911 is there I mean do you want to look at my device can you help me look at my devices I can guarantee that there's no one tapping into your phone or your iPad or anything like that me so crazy who can we call for you April you mentioned Melissa Robin dude they are sick of me um I don't know how about your son I mean sure we'll give it a shot and I just I feel I'm so paranoid about being drugged and I'm hearing weird sounds out there the sad truth about humans is that when we don't understand something we tend to keep our distance because no one can really understand what people with paranoia are going through not even they understand it but there it is and it's very powerful most people just label them as crazy and try to stay away because there's nothing they can do about it it seems like April's friends and family have given up on her and before this clip is over we'll see why I mean call my mom she's in Arizona who can I be with right now we we need somebody that would be able to drive up here and pick you up or we can take you someplace okay my son but he won't he's refusing to talk to me why won't he talk to you because I don't know he said of this I can show you the text messages if you want I mean it's hard for me to speak out loud is it because of this like what's going on right now pretty much I mean because I had to kick them out and I'm paranoid that this epidemic is so huge that like by me calling it out like I hear sounds out there and I I just well there's other people here too you're not the only one here I see like maybe just lock me up in a mental institution maybe that I don't know we can't just do that cuz are you a threat to yourself I mean apparently you want to go to impatient I we could give you a ride to the hospital and they can if you're willing to seek treatment yeah I need therapy obviously it's not therapy it's impatient it's taking you to like a mental hospital so what does that mean like you get transported to a mental hospital and this just keeps getting worse the the hair on my body stands up I start to feel itchy like it's opiates and I'm wondering if they come through there and I these are all questions that I didn't get to ask mhm you know currently the only remedy for parent schizophrenics is medication so right now the question is did April take her meds and will she be willing to go to a hospital and get evaluated so she can receive proper treatment for her condition do you want us we can take you to the hospital and we can go inent I think that might down there we we can't we can't sit all right we can't sit in the room with you can't can't sit in the lob Bring It On sure I Surrender we're we're not we're not yeah no I feel safer to be there okay you want to go to the hospital no I mean I don't want to but if I'm going to feel scared in here and I'm going to keep having outbursts then if you can't call one of your friends that can come here or you can stay with them or something like that I just feel like the stakes are so high and that I'm worried about what I was worried about before and just the paranoia mhm of the aftermath of people trying to come after me to stop to keep the I'm not work going you know I know you mentioned that you're off some medications I feel like that might be factoring into yeah and see how dangerous this is for me to just go off says you don't even have a 4one number two call on that exactly it's the calling issues and then I saw this fog on the window mhm the condensation yeah and I'm like do they put opiates through the do they want to kill me you know yeah I'm crazy wow her theories are so far out there can you imagine that feeling it's like living in a nightmare all the time afraid of who's going to get you she already offered to be taken somewhere but these officers were very cautious in this situation and asked for a clear confirmation that she indeed wanted to be taken to a hospital because none of her friends were answering the calls just take me in please if we take you to the hospital are you willing to stay there and receive treatment yes yes I need it clearly if I'm wrong then yeah whatever welcome to what stuff do you want to bring everything that I brought here like literally everything I just grab weapons from my nail case that's all I meant okay get your stuff together whatever you okay uh what about all this uh no this is all I need let go this nope relax hang on I'm going to go first your shoes no I'm good you need shoes I'm good I don't want you to cut your foot open in the par I just now [ __ ] come on come on stop yelling come on stop yelling come on you need to stop doing that now enough come on are you done by the way she kicked the door and started yelling you can tell she's afraid of going out that was probably her way of mustering the courage but fear is a slippery slope because it can often turn into aggression in the blink of an eye if I like over your arm not can hit my friend no we're going interaction her aggressive side popped up just for a little while the scared confused woman suddenly starts shouting and her facial expression has completely changed on the ride to jail it just got worse by the time they got there she was so violent that she had to be placed in a restraint chair but it wasn't an easy job she started resisting and kicked not one but three officers one officer even got kicked in the mouth this is what it looks like when paranoia gets out of hand stop you need to stop fighting this April no you're not doing yourself any good sit down sit down save yourselves I'm [ __ ] immune that that's why I feel this way that's why I have an immunity I really have to commend these cops they didn't get agitated too much even though she was kicking screaming and biting them they remained calm and try to do their jobs with the highest regard for the suspect's mental condition that doesn't mean it didn't surprise them wow ter tester right told you told you the biggest situation April ended up being charged with three counts of felony battery by a prisoner misdemeanor resisting obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct she was released a day later on a $110,000 bond hopefully the judge will be lenient due to her mental condition and she'll manage to get the help she needs this next clip leads us into an even stranger situation on May 11th 2023 officers responded to a woman who locked herself in a restroom for over an hour when they got there she was already out and waiting for [Music] them you got an ID on us no you don't no why am I why do I need to give you my ID because I'm conducting an investigation what's your name I'm going to report you when I get done give you okay information that I um I need and I'm I'm put I'm telling you feminist my name is Maya you spell the first name please hell no you can do it do you need to see my ID you ask for my ID right yes I did okay let me give you my ID so you can go talk it to me well she's off to a bad start I don't know where the attitude's coming from but I guess she already had an altercation with the people in in the restaurant and it looks like she isn't too fond of police officers this cop seems to be chill about it but that's not going to last for long all right ma'am you can lose the attitud or I just put you in handcuffs you can do what you got to do because I've already submitted doation lower voice to the justice of Department a female here because I don't want a male touching me no I don't that's not how this works that is how that works you're not in control here something debilitating but miss Goldsmith here doesn't seem to have any mental issues she's just so entitled that she gets herself arrested for nothing and we see it happen over and over again turn around face the wall put your hands behind your back I'm arresting you for missus 911 you do not have a legitimate emergency and you have two police officers standing in front of you go so I can walking away I called the police that's when I called the police because I wanted to talk to the Sheriff's Office why did you 911 because I wanted to talk to the sheriff 911 just for emergency I didn't know that I called that that number to talk to to get the number for I'm not from here to get the number to the sheriff so what was wrong with the police officer telling you the rules about because I felt like I was my my rights were um violated correct okay I felt like my rights were violated so I wanted to talk to the Sheriff's Office and the um the chief of police oh so this is just a huge misunderstanding well if Miss Goldsmith hadn't been so loud and Brash and confrontational from the beginning her misplaced 911 call might have gone unnoticed however when you stack up one thing after another you usually get a reaction in this case the reaction resulted in getting arrested and even though it's too late to to undo things the supervisor tries to end this as calmly as possible and with consideration for all parties involved you want to stand up all right M gold smith right that's correct all right let's stand up we'll help you I'm going to explain now listen I've heard your Ty of story I'm going to investigate what happened um keep me in there for a while all I'm telling you is it's over and done with just go out to the jail get booked in and if there's something that I tears Mrs Goldsmith was eventually charged with multiple felonies resisting an officer with violence two counts of battery on an officer disturbing the piece misuse of the 911 system and resisting an officer without violence she's entered a plea of not guilty and the case is ongoing I bet she wishes she kept walking when the officer returned her ID we've seen people go to jail for being paranoid we've seen people go to jail for being entitled but our next suspect ends up in jail for doing something really stupid on the afternoon of April 7th 2023 the dispatcher received a 911 call from a female at a local McDonald's she claimed that a man was holding five people hostage at gunpoint because he was not satisfied with his order the woman was supposedly hiding in the restroom but the moment the deputy arrived the line disconnected hey slow everybody down down in the bathroom [Music] sh she she supposed to everything looks suspiciously calm there's no one in the bathroom and the restaurant is working as usual nothing seems to be out of the ordinary let's see what the manager has to Sayan looking for does y have a disturbance here of any kind like somebody threatening with a gun their messed up no I we didn't call we don't know we're trying to figure that out we just got we got this McDonald's but we're trying to make sure it's the right one for not this one get a good location they have somebody public service with her in the restaurant the deputies are clearly confused they ask the dispatcher to send another unit to check the McDonald's on Spring Street to check if they might be at the wrong location however it's soon confirmed that the call came from the lobby of this McDonalds so they go back in to check it out [Music] name call one you know [Music] what she's never worked here either y had no disturb disturbances many timesy being mad and you being mad yeah but that happened or who was it all day long I mean all day long that's the way anybody like threaten anybody or got like I told him I've been here 6:00 here till midnight tonight so somebody I guess somebody near here or inside here keep calling out saying they call saying that everybody's being hro the manager then checks the bathrooms herself to no avail but then the deputy gets a genius idea he asks Miss Everett being that she's a likely culprit to use her phone then he makes a call to 911 and asks for the dispatcher that received the original call hey yes sir can I speak with our dis hey how you doing okay all right so this number that I'm calling from is this the number that called in reference to that hostage that uh McDonald over yes sir it it's the same number yes sir it is well let this that one know we got the person who made the call you you you have the person that made the call but this is her phone okay so you have her phone but do you have her yes she I got the phone from her so this is the phone this the number right here that came from that uh came from that call that made the original calls yes sir it is there with some cutting detective work the deputies found the person who made the call but it still isn't clear why she did it there obviously was no threat of any kind so why would this young woman make false claims was it just bored them let's investigate confirm that's this is the let's get her information see what you got going on know what going on you got some on your ma you got ID yeah I got Pap my ID it did what you want right what is it Geor yeah this you right here yeah that my old copy right there you ever had this have you ever had a driver license uhuh I was going to get those this year what did this right here this a this a learn no that's my ID you ain't got no ID no more here I see you can't hardly see it I don't needan any disrespect ECT but listening to this Deputy speak I keep thinking of Jeff boomhower from King of the Hill and if I remember correctly he also called 911 on hey man 911 I here man man fire the one thing that surprised me is how relaxed the manager was I was expecting her and the employees to get riled up afraid and uncertain about what was going on but this manager acts so calm like she's seen it all before why she doing that oh but she don't call several times and in three I I think it's because I took so long to interview yeah but she called sever time saying she was in the bathroom somebody had your hostage and all this stuff in here got gun point and that is enough to start all kind of R going on here yeah a mar police officer that kind of craziness uh hello okay so that explains it there's not much that can get this manager upset so let's head over to the suspect and see what she has to say about this whole mess I go I'm not doing and then you think I'm call y'all Deputy is smart he goes with the manager and checks the surveillance videos on the table where she's at now on top of the purse her phone on top of the C like this on top she left a purse on the table with a phone on the purse and she went to the bathroom left there on the table that's chist she said she didn't want to take in the bathroom and get it dropped in the toilet like she did the other one so there she sitting still sitting her purse is down there she sitting she's real calm a she yeah no she's a little shaky but you can see her sitting there the whole time that's why I got this apple I haven't seen her move yet and we're back at 1649 so she was lying to Y she said she moved liar liar pants on fire and this liar just got called she tries to spin another crazy story about her Mom calling 911 but the deputies aren't buying it she saying that her what is call her and then her mother-in-law saying that her mom has been calling now1 wherever she go her mom calls 911 and so like report her as a runaway and how they using your phone huh how they using your phone I'm on the internet I'm talk to my daddy that's my daddy all right well you come with okay come with y'all yeah what's going on missing 911 call okay that's not me come on so can I call her and tell her come come on put this in okay down y'all take me for nothing that I didn't do ma'am come on something do stop twisting wrist too tight and that's how a prank call ends up sending you to jail this reminds me of when kids report a bomb in their school so they can get out of class maybe Miss Everett didn't really want to work at McDonald's and this was her way out of a job interview or at least that's what she thought instead she wound up in bib county law enforcement center and was charged with false
