and you're a federal Marshal he's got a little bad are not no congratulations you're imp personating police officer that's a federal please do not ruin my career please please please don't know about the drones out there flying over sir there is nothing like that impersonating an officer takes a lot of courage or stupidity or both what if someone notices and calls the real cops also who in their right mind would do such a thing well today we're about to find out as we present four cases of people carrying fake Badges and even guns in the end we'll learn that some of them are playing out a weird fantasy from childhood While others are just looking for innovative ways to allow them to get away with committing a crime the weirdest thing about it is that some of these fake cops were actually real cops our first cop impersonator today is actually an older gentleman that according to eyewitness reports looks like Santa Claus albe it a skinny one he kind of reminds me of a skinny version of Santa Claus the man she's talking about is 6 1-year-old John O'Grady ogrady was spotted in a Best Buy in Florida and recognized by one of the employees as the man involved in a shoplifting incident that happened earlier but this time he had a Marshall's badge and a gun since it's not usual for Federal Marshals to be stealing iPhones as Grady did recently the employees decided to call the cops the officer spotted the suspect and followed him in the store for a while then they approached him and quietly escorted him to the office at this point ogrady probably still hopes that he'll just talk to them and get away with it the officers on the other hand have two things on their minds to secure the weapon and to get O'Grady to say that he's really a marshall you have any weapons on you sir yes okay where where's it at on my hip okay so we thought are you a police officer I'm not okay all right what are you a federal Marshal okay this moment is crucial the officers were told by the employees that this man was impersonating a marshall but up until that point they couldn't really prove it now they they had footage of him actually saying it which incriminates him and he can no longer dispute it in court what's left is to deal with the supposed weapon okay just just we don't want you reaching for anything I'm not reaching for anything if you're a federal Marshal you understand what we're doing absolutely just you have your federal martial ID no so you're carrying a weapon with no ID on you no cuz I just stepped out of my house to so for the time being skinny Santa either doesn't know how much trouble he's in or he's just playing it cool to see if he can somehow wiggle his way out of the situation as for the officers they can be fairly certain that they're dealing with a con man so they decide to handcuff him handcuff for what until we figure out what's going on you have a weapon you have no idea on you it's not a real weapon you're carrying a fake weapon yeah and you're a federal Marshal he's got a little bad not no congratulations impersonating a police officer that's a federal F oh yeah congratulations that's a fony so let's see if the officer's correct under Florida statute 843.svg felony in Florida and is punishable by up to 5 years in prison 5 years of Probation and a $5,000 fine as it turns out ogrady was not carrying a real firearm but a BB gun since air guns are not considered Firearms under Florida law you can take them virtually everywhere as long as you're 16 years of age or older even though O'Grady apologizes for carrying a fake gun when he's taken into the office pretty soon he realizes that the BB gun is the least of his concerns if the video if the video shows you stealing an iPhone what does that mean I didn't steal an iPhone I was looking at iPhones but I didn't steal anything they got you steal an iPhone they got you on video I what do you think we're here for we just didn't show up for we didn't pick you out of the Hat yeah he was suspected of stealing an iPhone from one of the displays did you recall seeing a video on that yes I did he yanked it off on a the table he was looking at it he turned around he yanked it off walked away and put in his left jacket suit pocket it doesn't take a genius to figure out that Mr ogrady is going to jail and he seems was relaxed about it to be honest after watching all those kirens lose their composure in our previous videos seeing ogrady so relaxed while faced with almost certain jail time is kind of refreshing truth be told he doesn't look like a criminal mastermind or a criminal at all even though he did apparently steal an iPhone he looks like an old man who's struggling in life like many Americans are at the moment he probably found himself in a tough spot and decided that crime would be his way out however that almost never works out it turned out that ogrady was actually a limo driver or he used to be because it seems that his license has expired here's my question Mr ogrady you said you're a limo driver but you don't have a limo license now your license is suspended and you have a class E op don't have dri I have driver LIC do you have your limo here it's um I was on my way to go to a job for those of you who do not live in the US is the standard driver's license for people who drive personal vehicles which include automobiles trucks vans RVs mopeds scooters and similar Vehicles so it's not clear if ogrady ever had a license to drive a limo or if he ever even drove one and pretty soon he comes to terms with his impending fate okay so we're just going to try to rep [Music] officer so that's me done for the day that's you done for a couple of days I can't help but feel sorry for ogrady I mean it seems he felt cornered and forced to steal something crime is just not justifiable in any way shape or form but she kind of feels sorry for the guy also he did it in the most casual way possible he didn't threaten anyone he didn't harm anyone he decided to play pretend and took on a role that would help him do the crime as easily as possible and when he's caught he remains as chill as possible with without confronting the cops or causing any trouble after all was said and done ogrady got 4 months in prison and a year of supervised release so what do you think about our skinny Santa do you think he got what he deserved our next event starts like a real conundrum back in April 20121 a man dressed as a cop and carrying a firearm stopped his car at the intersection of Collingwood Avenue at East Broad Street in whiteall Ohio and started flashing his blue and red lights to civilians not long after this was reported whiteall officers came to the scene to investigate at that point no one really knows what's happening because one moment Williams is a cop then he's not then he's not sure and so on but you have no but you have no ID from them all right and have you ever been sworn in by them I've talked to the chief I'm asking you a direct question have you been sworn in by them it's very important you answer this correctly because being a former police officer or someday a current police officer you know if you lie in this situation you go directly to jail so I'm going to put that right up I'm not so if you are telling me you are a police officer right now is that what you're telling me now right away we can see the situation is very serious there's this 26-year-old kid with a weapon and a police vest driving a car with blue and red lights he's obviously impersonating a police officer but the question remains whether he's really a cop or not and it seems that Williams is very aware of his predicament because he avoids giving a direct answer to the questions but keeps mentioning the chief he knows that if he says he's a cop and it turns out otherwise it's game over and he's going to jail but on the other hand he can't say he's not a cop because he's carrying a gun and a police vest and flashing his lights at civilians so either way it doesn't look good for him the question is which way will this thing play out so you are not a commissioned police officer I have spoke with the chief that's not what I'm asking you I'm asking you one question are you a commissioned police officer through the state of Ohio I have an a certificate that's how matter that's not what I'm asking you I'm explaining to you I have no no no you're not you're not question you're avoiding the question Williams knows that he has a good reason to avoid this question because impersonating an officer is considered a first-degree misdemeanor in Ohio with a maximum sentence of 6 months in jail and a fine not only that but his career will be ruined as well and he probably doesn't want that to happen either it's very simple are you a sworn police officer anywhere in the state of Ohio any Department not currently okay that's question well well I'm I'm unsure I'm unsure I'm unsure you can't be unsure you would have to raise your hand squar sign a form and you would get paperwork on that hello talking to the chief is not enough Williams tried to explain that he works for a security company that only employs former police officers so he was in fact a police officer well yes and no the truth of the matter is is that he did at one point work as a deputy for the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office even so he was just a corrections officer and didn't work outside of the jail it seems that he wanted to do more than just be a corrections officer and that's what got him fired he lost his job after he allegedly portrayed himself as an on duty Pickaway County Sheriff's deputy at the local fair even though he was not even scheduled to work at the time what possessed him to do it again in whiteall is a mystery my guess is that he liked the feeling of power it gave him having sway over other people's lives can be intoxicating and even though it cost him his career he kept doing it you know and I I found a good paying job and I was told by the guys like hey we'll take care of a commission we'll get it taken care of it's no big deal I come out here you I told hey you can start make some money that's all I was trying to do please do not I'm I'm asking you for Courtesy man to man please do not ruin my career please please please when the officers confronted him at the intersection in whiteall he presented himself as a deputy working on a special Duty detail which was a blatant lie oh my God got a rle all right and it's loaded right okay we're not going to yeah the company he was supposedly working for stated that Williams was never their employee at the time of the arrest he was wearing a duty belt with a loaded handgun a taser two pairs of handcuffs pepper spray and a flashlight oh the exacerbating fact was that he produced a fake badge and in his car he had a loaded rifle a ballistic vest and a Pickaway County Sheriff's Office coat well things changed you know we try to do the reasonableness test here but listen man there's just way too much you've got a code in there that doesn't belong to you that's got deputy sheriff stuff on there you got a loaded rifle you're a traffic guy man that's all your details going to be got to put your foot in there Williams was arrested and taken to Franklin County Correctional Facility he was later charged with impersonating a police officer and improper handling of a firearm if we take a moment to think about the psychological motivation of fake officer Williams it's not difficult to imagine that he was just a weak-minded individual who enjoyed the feeling of having power and authority over us Brothers our next case is quite similar as it involves a real cop from Washingtonville his name is Logan Malik Malik's downfall started when several businesses and customers from Borman Ohio reported him as posing as a US Marshal they alerted the police and soon several officers were at the scene they approached Malik who was in full body armor with a visible weapon and badge what's going on today I've been hanging out for a while I'm on duty I was Washington Bill Department I'm about going to work I was just sitting up here I get and I was talking to like just being friendly with people whoa so many red flags popping up we need to stop for a moment Washingtonville and Boardman are not the same which means officer Logan is not in his jurisdiction yet he's wearing a fully equipped bulletproof vest along with a taser a badge and a utility belt with a gun the very sight of him is a bit intimidating as he looks like he's about to storm a drug housee as opposed to having a cup of coffee his explanation is that he was just getting ready to go to work and was being friendly to people but these officers are not taking any chances lock your fingers you should not do this right your hands upside down your feet okay I've an off your officer I have my identification okay going check cuz we got to call first oh okay okay okay you have anything else on you no sir I have a Tanger in my vehicle it's really not a good situation to find yourself in especially because Malik was considered a hero not so long ago just 2 and 1/2 years prior to this incident Malik and a couple of his co-workers were hailed as Heroes when they tried to save an elderly couple and their dog just seconds before their car was hit by a train the event was recorded on Malik's body Cam and gave him his 5 minutes of fame at the time he was working for the lonia police department maybe just like Williams he got hooked on the feeling of power Malik seems to have a similar addiction which prompted him to go parading around as a US Marshal I I I have my badge I don't have an ID you have like your driver's license on you yes sir or yes ma'am sorry is it in the car was that here in this wallet yes and that's my old badge um from my old Department apparently Malik checked in at the Boardman Holiday Inn on South Avenue claiming he was a US Marshal and asking if they had a r for a few days he also discussed about how he had arrested several skin heads and that if they see any of them hanging around they should call him directly then he gave the employees a piece of paper that said US Marshals officer Malik Northeast Ohio violent crimes task force with his number on it after some time passed Malik was ready to tell the truth now listen I want to completely honest and the reason I did lie to youy that go the reason I lied to you is because that was embarrassed L I've always wanted to be US Marshall and I'm not saying I did not tell them that I was US Marshal I can see how that was misconstrued I like pay attention to their Most Wanted and they had a bunch of earing Brotherhood dudes so this is what it comes to a cop who got hooked on a TV show and decided to play a tough guy so he could live out his childhood fantasy how can someone like this be allowed to become a police officer and carry a weapon around so I can articulate it better can you show me that note so I can explain it better cuz honestly I'm a little nervous like this is my dream career I will not lie to you I just want to make sure I'm telling you the truth so what do you think about officer Malik who do you think was worse him or skinny Santa from the beginning of the video in my opinion Malik is a pathetic example of a cop who deserves to be fired spent some time in jail and should never be allowed to become a cop again even though Malik didn't steal anything my sympathy goes to the skinny Santa Claus he did impersonate a police officer but he did it so he could get away with shoplifting more easily but Malik was already in a position of power and he misused it to play some silly games so he could feel more important than he really was sadly the justice system doesn't feel the same way I do although he was indeed fired from his job the following day Malik later pleaded did not guilty his attorney said that he was suffering from PTSD due to the traumatic train accident experience since he was using anxiety medication he was apparently not aware of his actions if that's true I wonder how they let him be a cop in the first place in any case he got sentenced to 30 days in prison and a $1,000 fine our last case for today is quite different from the previous ones this guy was driving an unmarked pickup truck down 301 in Marian County Florida when he passed two officers who were stopped at a gas station he had his emergency lights and a siren turned on as he passed traffic at a red light the sirens and the lights were similar to those police officers use but not quite the same also there was no report of an emergency on the radio so seeing the strange vehicle run pass them the officers decided to pull him over and investigate the driver was identified as Derry Wayne Lambert he was wearing a hat that had a Department of Justice seal on it with lettering that read police US Marshall in addition to that he also displayed a AED to the officers and said he was in fact a US Marshal then he explained that he was heading to a reported shootout at Maran Oaks that's pretty weird because the officer who pulled him over knew there wasn't a shooting because it surely would have been reported on the radio and by then the cops would have heard about it so he was rightfully suspicious and they continued asking questions little by little Lambert's story started to unravel I'm just looking I'm looking for something to verify that you're a US Marshall all right Lambert's initial attempt didn't didn't work he was asked to step out of the vehicle and his story changed a little bit now his boss apparently isn't returning his call and he's not presently working he says although his shift starts in 2 hours notice how he looks at his wrist even though the watch isn't there this guy seems like a piece of work the officers then proceed to call a US Marshall service liaison trying to confirm Lambert's obviously bogus story not surprisingly the information didn't check out hey we got somebody on phone wants to ask you a few questions all right go ahead sir what is your name Derry Lambert okay what district do you count on I work out of Texas but they got me down they got me down in Florida right now looking into uh Maring Oaks Lambert then proceeds to explain that he got a report about two gangs on a four-wheeler with a pole on it busting into people's houses it doesn't take a genius to figure out this story sounds completely crazy and I'd also say that this guy probably had too much of whatever he was drinking either way the liaison continues to question him what's that what district in Texas do you work out of Dallas okay second exactly I know exactly yeah exactly okay the liaison continued to grill Lambert pointing out that Dallas was not a district and that if he was a US Marshall he would have known what district he was working out of it's interesting that Lambert didn't crack at any given time he continued being relaxed as if he expected them to release him at any moment maybe his calm state had something to do with the vum pills that were later found in his car pretty soon the officers had had enough and decided to place him under arrest all right do me a favor just go ahead and turn around for me can put your hands behind you back for what I'll explain it to you you have that rest so you're going to be arrested for impersonating a police officer okay the officers found a gun in his vehicle along with medication that he didn't have a prescription for when they asked him why he was missing a side view mirror he said it was shot out when he was working a shootout in Maran Oaks the shootout of course never happened except for maybe in Lambert's imagination that's my personal so why would the marshals outfit your personal vehicle with lights and sirens in Texas it's not like it okay you don't have cars like this you have a Florida tag I know as you can see this man's story has holes bigger than the Titanic you don't know about the drones out there flying over sir there is nothing like that I'm going to I'm going to give you a little tip Pro tip okay there's only three of us in this County you are not one of the other two that's a pro tip Lambert was arrested and transported to Mar County jail and charged with false impersonation of a law enforcement officer unlawful use of blue lights unlawful use of a badge possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony possession of diazapam and introduction of Contraband into a Detention Facility I still haven't found out what it was exactly that Lambert tried to smuggle into jail but if you know feel free to tell me in the comments below I hope you had fun as we checked out these people who dared to impersonate police officers just to have it backfire on them researching this made me think about how often this really happens and that there are probably a lot of these fake cops Who Remain undetected also I think it's pretty unfair that ogrady got 4 months and Malik only got 30 days in my opinion it should have been the other way around because Malik abused his authority and he was carrying a whole bunch of weapons when he did it ogrady didn't abuse any Authority nor did he have a real weapon yet he really did get the short end of the stick let me know if you feel the same way and make sure to subscribe and be on the lookout for my next video
