you're going to to put on handcuffs yeah you're going to be put on handcuffs you're going to go to the jail right now you guys were going to buy drugs no yeah yeah don't lie to this man do you normally have any other firearms in your vehicle I don't but occasionally there occasionally there's a pistol in there okay they are dead aren't they do you have your ID on you no sir I do not okay do me a favor getting away with a crime is a lot harder when you're a dumb crook with all the cameras we use today it's easy to catch a repeat offender when something's wrong there's almost always video evidence we can watch to find out what happened our most obvious criminal forgot about all that when he decided to make a run for it after being asked a simple question by an officer we're about to get an excellent lesson on how to behave in police custody and how not to end up there in the first place let's get started on August 21st 2023 28-year-old Alexandra Z wesy decided to try her luck again at the 900 Madison Street shoppr responding to a call about theft the Hoboken Police Department sent officers Christopher barrel and Dominic Alig to meet shop rights loss prevention team it's normal for lost prevention officers to monitor repeat offenders this builds a strong case against the offender when the charges get severe there they found the dump struck shoplifter with nothing but wide eyes and a surprise on her face what's up man how are you are you all right you guys want to pressers yeah it's not first okay Mega stores like shopright have clever strategies to deal with petty theft because they see it all the time it's company policy all over the US to allow criminals to rack up evidence against themselves that way when the thief tries again the company has undeniable evidence this time it clearly works do you have anything else in your pockets do you have anything else cuz you're going to be arrested right now for shoplifting okay if there's an arrest you're going to be arrested right now yes you're going to put on handcuffs yeah you're going to be put on handcuffs you're going to go to the jail right now yeah I have to get processed yeah so just turn around back just take down if she witnessed the shoplifting just no you're we're here you got the footage Felix yeah um send it to the link if you want yeah I'll send I'll send you a a link yeah send it over now just right what's this they have an airpod just one y okay interesting question um airpod now we leave an hour get lost this is her bag that she paid for she paid four items in there two of chips uh two face the look on her face probably tells you that she's not an experienced thief and is unprepared for the consequences her simple nod and immediate compliance are rare in such cases this young woman could give classes on how to get caught with dignity this whole arrest took less than a minute unlike many others she isn't trying to make things worse for herself and then her bag is empty she just and then I'll send you the link for the footage all right all right thank you nice fix this goes to show that a person's appearance doesn't always tell you what they're up to if I saw her walking around that store I would have thought she's on her way to the gym not stealing $106 worth of stuff not exactly a jackpot is it I mean she's clean softs spoken and unassuming but she took advantage of her normal appearance to get away with her crime the first few times here the doors are locked windows are shot nobody on theer so I uh see in yeah I'm going to cut I'm going to go out this way Truck Park off the corner go get the plate for you again all right bringing up one female 1025 starting mileage 528 73.9 have you been arrested before first time depends on what the judge says yeah we're going to do we're going to probably take fingerprints photograph you process you develop a criminal record then we're going to call the judge and see what he says it was pretty smart or perhaps calculated for her to be so quiet most of the ride her tone sounded like she was disappointed in herself it doesn't seem like she was emotionally prepared to face consequences her silence could also be taken as shock that she didn't get away with it again or maybe she's just being careful just stand here face the wall please face the wall s over here let me take this off snacks and soap really aren't worth a criminal record you'd think someone would steal something cuz they need it but Alexandra's motives remain unclear law Breakers could learn a thing or two from her about good behavior a case was opened against her for trial and then she was let go shortly after processing she didn't make things worse for herself a pretty rare display of sound judgment let's see how our next criminal does when faed with the same consequences taking drugs and being dumb make for a wild combination I don't know which is worse but you might be shocked at what this 911 caller has to say this shelter dwelling victim Pierre Williams hasn't had much luck recently but one thing he does have going for him is that he's extremely honest it's not every day that you hear requests like this one Columbus police officers were on their way to the caller when his obscene request came through watch how the police officers respond to his incriminate phone call police tech 107 yes I just gave this guy $25 to buy me some a crystal mes and he ran into his house didn't come out and I don't want to do nothing that's irrational but yeah either either either dude gonna give me my money or something going to happen so I don't think a sober person would make a call like this he seems to have a very shaky grasp of what's right and wrong maybe next time he'll ask the cops to help him commit a crime there might be much more going on here thus the Ohio officers fast response okay do you know this guy's name no so I was on kelvan Avenue in Cypress at this little it's like a Turk building I was just sitting under it cuz it was raining and had like a little bits on it and a guy said that he could get me some drugs so I said I really don't want to do nothing but when he said it was cheap Drew took my $25 and went in his green house on Dakota Avenue and didn't come out so okay what he look like he's he's black he has one of uh blue Champion hoodie and he had on black pants and a black uh t a book bag okay don't argue with these people don't argue with him don't argue with him don't argue man I'm just going call the police like I said okay and um are you standing outside I'm outside their house I'm not going nowhere I'm not scared or nothing so they got my money yeah and tell me what you look like what are you wearing Pierre made it pretty clear that he doesn't want to do anything illegal but after hearing an offer that was too good to be true well he just couldn't pass it off this won't be the first time today that Pierre made some bad decisions after providing descriptions of himself and the suspected robber he continues to berate his female companion Sarah hearing what he has to say sheds some light on the issue hey what in tarnation's going on man someone robbed you shoot us and [ __ ] uh black dude said that he know where to get some ice from and she said she like to smoke it so cuz I'm trying to show her with time is I gave I was do to my pocket get do money and then the you you guys were going to buy drugs yeah yeah don't lie to this man don't don't lie cuz it'll be up yes I was trying to get it high okay flat out there's no need to Su C going on I tell her let me talk for a reason all right personally I'd love to live in a world where everyone is as honest is him it's hard not to smile at his audacity this guy's day probably couldn't get any worse it's hard not to respect this guy's honesty let's find out if any of this is real and dude ran in his house never came out so uh dude took my $25 and we was on cellent on in a Cypress right here just're sitting in in the little benches right there that's in front of that little church building and I don't know if there's cameras or what but I'm just telling you dude ran off of my money and I'm not getting no puss and I don't got no drugs for her so I'm super pissed flat out all right and that's what's really going on well you're not going to be able to get your money back okay like that part is cool but dude keep put your hand po I'm sorry sir that's all right wallet chain I'm sorry I'll just show you I don't I don't have no weapons I don't I don't I got I got a little something weapons I don't man the officer must have gotten a pretty good impression of Pierre when someone freely turns out their pockets and refuses to lie a police officer might be happy to assist with their weird requests Pierre continues to describe the situation without much evidence of what actually happened so is this the whole truth dude went in this house with my money so he stopped me from getting cuz he ran off with my money to get her right okay well I mean you know you know we you know we ain't going to be able to help you get your money back or your drugs or anything like that trying to get money or drugs I just I just I just want something to happen man because at the end of the day is they they stole my dude had to out and when I was going to my wallet to go do my money he grabbed the money and Ran So at the end of the day it's a robber is like like like he strong would have done didn't okay you didn't mention anything about a gun you said that he had a gun now yeah so the gun was on his hip the guy didn't just say give me your money the guy had his gun sh on he was like oh ground money and took off and this happened right at at Sullivan in Cypress and then he went run down this alley ran his house y okay if it wasn't for his cooperation and honesty a different officer might just leave it at that but this Columbus officer offers his assistance regardless Pierre simply wants Justice For What apparently happened to him so he he told you that he knew where to get ice and you were like that sounds cool I'm about to do that and you pulled out money and he had his had his gun in his waistband like like and he grabbed it and ran ran here his house so I I told him I'm not leaving to he didn't make any he didn't make any threats though he didn't pull it out he didn't fire any gunshots off or pointed at you nothing like that all right you said there's a camera there the camera be show them have a gun I don't know if there's account I'm saying it's a suivant and everybody knows what goes she M CU ain't got her drugs I'm just saying I was trying to yeah that makes sense I mean just keeping it real me like that's why I said just let me talk the truth means I don't got to make nothing up I can just tell it how it is okay you know see selling that for I trying to get it right so why don't we just keep it real if you compare Pierre and Sarah he comes off as more reasonable he was even being completely honest about the supposed thief's actions so far the Columbus officers are showing a lot of compassion for this man they decide to investigate Pierre's accusations was you and your brother in and he's MRDD so he ain't causing trouble for anybody he doesn't he said nobody came running in here recently either all right um I don't know if they did they say they've been stay in here the whole time or do they go walking they they on the street she's a 49 he's trying to get her drug drugs for 49 activity and it's kind of fun cuz he He just flat out says it so it's not this block I don't think they come ice ice the elderly owner of the house his disabled brother and his friend's girlfriend all cooperated this makes the situation even more bizarre the officer questioned Pierre again but got nothing helpful since there's no evidence of Foul Play the officer decides to take a more friendly approach to Pierre's situation by giving him a bit of advice maybe uh I know it's kind of a silly thing to say but probably uh iay on the ugrs there for a while all right maybe find maybe find a way to attract women that don't need don't need acquired such a taste try to try to find uh better places to hang out too cuz you don't need someone out here 49 doing 49 stuff yes I love you well all right sorry yeah leave them alone too they're going to get you I know man yeah thank you man they get you some kind of disease that you can't shake off thank you while Pierre is open and honest about his vices it still leaves us with so many questions what actually happened to Pierre could the occupants be lying is someone hiding in their house could Pierre's honesty be a ruse and what happened to Sarah the officers showed a lot of empathy but their time was wasted honesty is a wonderful thing to come by in the world of of a police officer but as you're about to see that Honesty can be [Music] weaponized honesty is always appreciated especially when it helps officers do their job a lot of today's thieves seem to be making the same mistakes one thing some of them get right is unconditional cooperation but only when they're called just like shopright Superstores like TJ Maxx have a system in place for catching repeat offenders the police are on speed dial since stores like this are such common targets we're taking you back to October 21st 2021 detective Franco with the police department put your hands behind your back are you and watch how quickly George's police respond to this call this 25-year-old female didn't even make it to her vehicle before she was arrested by Athens Clark County police officers talk about efficiency the officer identified her right on the spot her immediate cooperation tells us she probably saw this coming this is my cousin she was waiting for me she didn't know St you see some ID for what she's trying to get in your car with the basket full of stolen stuff trying to get in my car yes she was she said you're her cousin you were waiting on her she didn't know I was going to Ste she was Central I'm out with that vehicle need another officer Central cars occupi times three the 25-year-old showed genuine concern about her family getting involved she immediately confessed to her crime saving them from any more trouble her family seems to care about her her too the cousin was trying to get her a job at the store she was stealing from her calm demeanor and apologetic words put everyone at ease in this ttin situation but is this family hiding something Shady you remember me from Target yes sir you got a phone on you or anything not sir do you don't have a phone at all no sir you don't have a phone in the car no sir I need the two males in the car uh have her sit in your car real quick you know have anything else on you right no just sit in the car just sit right here can I stand no I need you to sit down thank you in this line of duty faces are easy to recognize that's what made it so easy for this officer to make a quick arrest her cousin didn't want to be involved in this and seemed to know that this wasn't her first time there's clearly a lot more to This Woman's criminal history is she being honest or lying to cover for her family hey what's your name man what my name is is can I ask you why you asking me that because you were you're in this car and this girl's about to put a felony amount of stuff in it I'm just seeing who everybody is I didn't say anybody did anything wrong I know I'm saying I don't want to know why that's well because this car is involved in a crime and I'm just identifying anybody I know him you got the same last name as her all right so you just you just giving her a ride yeah they ain't going to hire me now all right well and you I'm sorry sir cooperation all around a welcome change perhaps they're not involved after all if that's true it's sad to witness a family let down by someone they supported yet the disappointment might pale in comparison to hers for getting caught so what exactly is the family's role in all this hey where do you live I live yes I take care of who who is her who is she to you it's my cousin okay which I don't even know I mean I would have all right well she's been she's been still in a bunch of places I ain't going to lie to you have you been with her at any of those no have you driven her anywhere else no she asked me for a ride but it beat to like plasma they've been following these groups around they had some people come up here and they've got you know other incidents you you haven't I'm just I'm laying it out there I haven't been involved in this but what I'm saying is you haven't done any other test with her all right well miss well I'm detective Franco that's fine after TJ Max and the police successfully identified them everyone in the car went on their way none of them went in the store or committed any known crimes so they were free to go now the police need more information from the arreste herself all made easier by the power of modern technology a lot of people don't realize that every business like this has somebody I'm assuming it's her that gets paid to literally sit back here and find people that are stealing like literally their job man you're fine you know you make good decision and you got fix the consequences for it I'm not even going to Li to I've been I've been tracking you girls the two of you okay I'm not going to lie to you either there's going to be warms coming out of barrel County okay so the best thing you can do right now up yourself it's up to you it's up to you because there going be multiple felonies jurisdic okay everyone's jobs are streamlined when a detained Thief behaves as well as she does though she is behaving well it could be a manipulation tactic she is a thief after all and a pretty bad one at that regardless her cooperation kindness and cander make it hard to doubt her sincerity now it's up to the police to uncover more after she lawyered up I'm not going to question you since you want a lawyer but the other day Walmart showed me a picture they asked me if I knew this person I was like oh I know her I still haven't gotten around to signing all that stuff on you from Target no um but all the stuff before there nothing since then I'm talking about all the stuff before that all the TVs and stuff but he showed me that I was like I know who that is I don't know what the amount was but you do understand like a felony is no less than a year is what is the definition of what a felony is so if you're hitting all these different stores and you're taking felon felony amounts each time I mean you could have 20 years for stealing stuff you know be yeah I know I mean I and and we appreciate that I'm just saying in the future once you get all this cleared up at this point she scooped up over $520 worth of goods in Georgia that's a felony with a hefty penalty but now things get interesting there's clearly respect between the officer and the woman impressed by her civility the officer shares cautionary tales about his line of duty her good behavior is an obvious contrast to the officer's prior experience so he hopes to share a lesson with her I had somebody a few weeks ago I had somebody almost uh get hit by a car running down Prince Avenue when they were in handcuffs and it was a supposed to get the handcuffs off that's that's the he didn't understand that he's already searched you and patted you down and all that stuff right no he didn't search and but all I got is like some coins and like you don't have anything that I don't care about coins or anything like that like I will give you some credit a lot of the people that I arrest for shoplifting have like meth or drugs on them so good job for not doing that it would shock you how many times I have here I'm going to crack this yeah it's already cracked AC back there I just don't want to see you back in here for this you know it's different if you like your boyfriend cheats on you or something you know like that's different I can kind of understand that but I just you know I just it's just not it's not worth it nothing says bonding like cuffing someone and walking them into a jail cell maybe next time the perpetrator needs some retail therapy she'll remember the officer's advice now that she has four Interstate convictions she's been barred from TJ Maxx for 2 years and charged for theft and shoplifting hopefully for the last time it's hard to judge until you've heard all sides of a story a criminal caught on camera is pretty straightforward because lying becomes futile but what about other criminals a lot can happen in the dark and without Witnesses or any strong evidence a crime may be difficult to prove in June 2021 former lawyer Richard Alexander murdog was in just such a situation his wife and son Margaret and Paul murdog were found dead by Alex police arrived after getting a call from him to hear his side of the story had a whiskey Fox whiskey Mike both gunshot wounds to the Head sir I want to let you know because of the scene I do I did go get a gun and bring it down here in your vehicle you have any guns on you at no sir leaning up against the side of my car you're you're fine man you're fine turn around for me I don't have any okay yes sir I see that okay this is your wife and son and son [Music] okay he bad he bad check the PES yes sir this is the firearm you brought from inside the house yes sir yes sir if you saw a body with a gunshot wound to the head would you check for a pulse would you even consider it if you were a loved one typically a living body shouldn't have more than five holes in its head Alex also had a tool for making such hole which he showed the officer upon arrival he's the only person outside with his disabled parents nearby something seems off my son was in a boat wreck a few months back he's been getting threats most of us been benign stuff we didn't take Serious okay um you know he he's been getting like punched um I know that's somebody I know that's what it is okay when did you get home right right when you called or did you go to the house first where is the house I came to the house first my mom has late stages of Alzheimer's and my dad is in the hospital okay I left I don't know what time I can go back on my phone and tell you the exact times did you check did I check what did you check them the we got medical guys that are that that's that's that's what they're going to do okay what are they doing can they hurry they are yes sir that gentleman that was out here already he's one of the Battalion Chiefs okay whoa what's the rush Alex don't you want them to have a look too bullying can escalate sure with throwing accusations while the bodies are still warm it's unsettling to hear his tone shift from distraught to curious in one sentence his rapid emotional shifts are giving me Whiplash maybe he has a good explanation how did you pull up you from back there I came I went to the house and they weren't home which was I tried to call okay and then I knew they had been down here before I left to go to my mom's and so that is loaded um you might want to unload it but I mean is this the only firearm with you this is the only one or is there any more in the truck I believe that's it you think that's the only one I'm 99% do you normally have any other firearms in your vehicle I don't but occasionally there occasionally there's there's a pistol in there okay they are dead aren't they turn all nose yes sir that's what that's what it looks like to me that cry sounded like fear I'd also be scared if there was a killer on the loose standing out there in the dark maybe his cries are filled with extreme grief or maybe they're cries of sobering remorse we can only speculate because some of his reactions don't seem to match the situation he continues to share the story with his brother over the phone then shares more details with the officer when was the last time you were here with them or talk to them or anything like that um it was earlier tonight I I don't know the exact time but okay I left I was probably gone an hour and a half for my mom's and I sought them about 45 minutes before that okay I rode around with Paul for two hours this afternoon in the in the pickup truck that's your son Paul okay somebody going to check them yes sir they they've already checked them they did check them yes sir that's official that there dead yes sir that's what it looks like I'm sorry no no you're fine I'm very sorry what are they covering them up I got some getting dressed now sh I have somebody stop and grab it tell them they don't have to do that they don't need to preserve what we can it's unclear what exactly he's sorry about here see unlike thieves worst criminals have a harder time admitting to their crime but In the Heat of the Moment you can get a lot of information the event is still fresh in his mind but which event exactly let's find out where he was during all this I see quite a few tire tracks in here were any of these you going in and out um no I came in here and I left one time and I came back okay but the rest of them maybe okay from earlier but okay only two were mine did you go out this way at all no these questionable deaths set in motion a Cascade of events that eventually led to a conviction Not only was Alex a recovering opioid addict but in 2023 he also pleaded guilty to 22 counts of financial fraud after pleading not guilty in July 2022 he was also found guilty of murder and weapon possession after repeatedly lying to jurors about his multi-million dollar Financial crimes it was hard to believe he wouldn't lie about murder 55-year-old Richard Alexander murdog is currently serving concurrent sentences in South Carolina two life sentences for double homicide on top of 40 years for fraud lucky for us not all people are serial killers but some are serial vandalizers juvenile destruction of property isn't the best way to express anger but our suspect thinks otherwise a police officer arrives at The Dockside Seafood restaurant after receiving a call from an employee named Chase so yesterday morning like he came up here because he's an for you at this place's up what's up man was it when you got here this morning what's I can wait need a privacy uh just I mean I just need a minute to show him man right here I couldn't tell you his last name his name's Nick he um got red hair he's wearing the exact same outfit as he when you saw him 30 minutes ago well exact same outfit as this 30 minutes ago and probably right now oh he's out there right now no he he just was I don't know where he went hey if if you see him again call us cuz that all adds to our probable cause if we can say he was wearing acid washing spray paint off a building can cost thousands of dollars unfortunately the owner's camera didn't catch much else so the police asked Chase to identify him just moments later Chase's help paid off the vandalizer identified as Nick was spotted the officer called for backup and tried making contact with the suspect what's up man can you do a favor come over here and talk to me for a second no sir I not okay all right you're going to talk to me do you have your ID on you no sir I do not okay do me a favor I got one R police on the ground get on the ground here get on the ground yo get on the ground get on the ground right now put your hands behind your back put your hands behind your back put your hands behind your back I can't breathe put your hands behind your back I can't breathe put your hands behind your back I can't breathe give me your hand I got to it's easy to spot a guilty person not when they give Oscar worthy performances but when they run from police in broad daylight compared to the other thieves we saw earlier his fake cries are quite a contrast Nick needs a lesson from the others on how to behave in police custody and probably a couple of acting classes too let's see if he tries to make it any worse for himself you got any drugs on your man no I'm sober 5 years we're going to get up on leg up bring your legs up your KN get you up on your knees bud no I need to I want to lay like all this crap you got a lot of stuff in all right yeah I find a lot of it have a seat right there sit down just sit down right there there you go okay Picasso here's something you can paint a picture of paint one of what happens when someone runs from the police luckily the cops already did that for us and they treated him respectfully despite his Annex if he likes hugs so much he must have loved hugging the ground this kind of childish behavior is what you'd expect from dumb criminals that can't spot cameras is petty vandalism worth this embarrassment can this guy get more cringey let's find out all I'm going go get up oh there they go come on you up y are they listening to me my whole family's in town from All Over America and Nicaragua and aali I like this so they don't even know it oh Lord they listen to me and they love me that's all I know why' you throw your sunglasses at me bro I didn't did they fell off okay I run fast I run like 26 M hour I caught myself you got caught yeah I scored a touchdown though I can't I play I'm an a I play basketball baseball I will win I don't lose what I won at least this guy's smart enough to know what a felony is and how not to get one if he claims to have all that family I wonder why they never bothered to teach him some manners at this point I'd question his sobriety his words make a lot of sense though the same amount of sense a sixth grader makes when breaking something let's see what the onlookers of the scene did about the situation is that his phone how do you know is that what he threw at me uh no we had this from uh yesterday oh because he brought it in to charge it okay and he forgot it and then we called the cops on initially cuz he like banging on the door okay and did you just come over here and grab those yeah the people involved seem just as entertained by the situation as I am after completing the investigation the officer proceeds to gather more information about the culprit as we saw earlier we aren't 100% sure it was him with new evidence in hand let's see what else the officer can do to prove Nick's guilt I took a picture of this this kid pulled up his Facebook he's like look some he just spray painted somebody's truck on Facebook they posted it on so this is a little bit more PC that somebody just posted that on his Facebook wall saying why did you deface my truck run that tag see if we can make contact with the owner make Ste like everyone else like those Ray bands they steal my Ray bands I don't get them any with the shoes as evidence as well as Nick's obstruction of law enforcement his case seems open and shut Nick spent most of the time talking about a big game and and he came close to threatening the officers Behavior like Nicks tends to be the result of an undisciplined upbringing and he's about to learn what a Manchild needs to go and wake up man come on come on come on come on step out to jail dude who come on why you punching you need to chill out okay going through this process stop being child I'm not a child I'm really about to faint okay you're not about to faint you're fine if you don't learn in school you might end up learning in jail Nick was charged with obstruction of Law and criminal damage to property lucky for him the prosecution dropped all charges and his case was dismissed despite the trouble and the damages caused by Nick he walked away with only a criminal record while that might not be as severe as Alex Murdoch's case it just goes to show that dumb people have a hard time getting away with crime today's episode showed us just how sneaky some of these these bad guys can be and how obvious the dumb ones are some criminals might just straight up run away while the dumb ones return to the crime scene and act innocent we hope you enjoyed watching these dumb wolves get their sheep clothing yanked off today if you did hit that subscribe button and turn those notifications on for more videos like this we'll see you in our next investigation
