Rel L stre get on the ground right now you T the world is full of people who want to make a quick bug instead of working hard for their money they prefer to take the criminal route from stealing to impersonating someone today we have a special list of scammers who suddenly realize they've been caught are they ready to face the consequences let's find out in the year 2022 alone Banks reported over 600,000 cases of check fraud and in our first video that's exactly how these two scammers get into hot water on October 2nd 2022 a Walmart employee notified police that a male and female had just tried to reenter the store they were banned from to cash a bad check when officers arrive at the scene to confront the suspects the situation escalates quickly Marlene Marlene Marlene get I got nothing but trespasses if I get her in the unit you want me to trespass her again yeah then you'll charger yeah cool the officer gets the go-ahead to apprehend the suspects for another trespassing but first he has to locate them after losing track of the scammers a tip is called in was that I figured cuz I was going to go rent some for my work right now and I come in with like a huge bag and they they stopped in and they were like you could just tell they've been running CU they were like out of breath thank you in here then right yeah thank you anybody run in there blonde a couple they're running across the street they're too far from with non-cooperative suspects like these two scammers police want to get the situation under control as fast as possible taking out the taser is not an easy choice for a police officer but sometimes they have to make hard choices it can also just be a tactic to let the suspects know the situation is extremely serious this adds pressure on them to surrender good I'll have the M 10 here shortly the male individual wear all black with the red hat went towards the Sun Country near Griggs and Wana I got him 151 sou W turn around we're going to use the dog get you just so you know stop looks like this suspect came to her senses and stopped continuing to run and evading police can easily add more charges and also land you a longer jail sentence while this officer apprehends the female scammer other officers and the canine unit have caught sight of the male accomplice and are in Pursuit I got him over here running he's rning West yes told W you know resting obstru you stop wal wait right here wa here I think we all have on yeah he's smoking just walking around let's stay off the air for now we got officers in there trying to detain him the officers want to enclose the suspect so they no longer have to chase him and unnecessarily put any bystanders lives at risk after all A desperate suspect is capable of a lot of bad things a break in the surrounding fence allows officers to put their plan into action all right he's going to the sou in the middle get on the ground get on the ground right now you get T get the get on the ground the one item the police noticed the man doesn't have is the bag he left the store with it's common for criminals on the run to toss the evidence someplace else to avoid getting caught red-handed or so they can come back and get it later I do we're not listening to command what do you mean what are you doing Comm you heard us call you all my the playing dumb act and pretending not to hear the officers shouting at him is not convincing anybody while these officers surround the male suspect in the construction zone and try to get him to cooperate the female suspect is still in handcuffs with the other officer relax yeah it looks like he's trapped in there he just walking around she decided to take off I'm sorry of 90 of 90 do you know his social no how old is he 32 32 she deci to took off running from us she just collapsed trying to catch a breast all right M Kon we going need you to get up and we're going to walk up to this car okay all right oh you have anything on you that I may have missed no you know if you go up with any Contraband or any weapons to the attention center after to F any correct uh not with us right now judging by her odd behavior it could be she's faking it and trying to gain sympathy from the cop or it could be some side effect from drugs or other health issues it's important in situations like this that the cops play it safe that's why they called the paramedics now that the officers have both these greedy scammers under control they need to locate the missing bag I thought they still had the bag here I but is that there that's it I i1 yeah this is the only thing I saw him with we got that back the officer must investigate the items carefully whatever's inside this bag the suspects thought it was important enough to dump before getting caught the scammers leave a trail of items behind and when the officers arrive at the last bag they find evidence that shed some light on the scammer's mental state many people who resort to Crime do so under the influence of drugs or alcohol obviously our scammers didn't want police to find these items because they didn't want to rack up drug charges we have units blocking off Ironwood and to the South both of these scammers are charged and sent to booking but that's not the end of the story because fraudulent checks are not a victimless crime afterward police track down the wall whose information was being used by the two scammers so I think she got this I think she got these out of your mailbox and then once she got the check so she put your name and because she got the check so that's what she was doing a lot of people think going through someone else's mail might not be a big deal but the federal government takes mail tampering and mail theft so seriously that it's a felony charge intercepted the letter yeah and so what they do now is there's a thing called informed delivery so you sign up for it and then you put your address in and then the post office emails you a snapshot of the mail your game oh cool all right and so um she's known to do that having someone spy on your mail delivery and get a hold of your personal information is scary so be careful out there the good news is these two scammers didn't get away with it and Justice was served thanks to the quick and organized actions of the police the scammers were charged with resisting arrest fraud of $250 to $500 and contempt of court scammers come up with all sorts of creative ways to con other people and this next scammer is no exception at a Target in Albuquerque New Mexico loss prevention officers call in a suspect they believe is stealing from the store but when police arrive they notice the suspect is in a clever costume to you made the this is like $1,200 [Music] good this camera is dressed in a Target employee uniform and was going to Target stores claiming he was from another store and needed to transfer PlayStations between stores in reality he was actually stealing and reselling those items and he did not work for Target judging by the body language of this suspect he doesn't seem phased that he's just been caught red-handed how long do I go for this depends on the price of these you might not go you might have see [Music] you you know you know americ like accents right does this scammer think that being nice and making Charming conversations with the police can make them go easy on him maybe he's delusional enough to think he can get away with what he's done by being friendly to the cops either way they know this man is a scammer and they're allowing him to keep talking to see what else he might confess to it's even more one for you guys but like for me like when I take ret was at the the stealing over $1,200 worth of merchandise is no laughing matter but this scammer seems to think it's some type of comedy bit a word of advice if you're ever in this situation don't joke about your crime it just lets the officers know that you don't care about what you've done and it will not make them any more lenient on you while this is happening another employee talks to the third cop outside he used to be a Target team member at sale Target he was apprehended at so he pushed out 11 gaming consoles out of our rear Rancho store a couple months ago okay real issued a warrant that were supposed to handle on their end he was back yesterday he went to our uptown Target where he got away with one Xbox console it's important for police to know where in the store they apprehended the suspect because in order to be arrested for theft you must pass All Points of sale with the stolen items points of sale are the cashier and the exit doors of the store the store manager lets the officer know that they want to press charges and due to the price of the items it's a felony charge you can decide at any time to exercise these rights and not answer any questions or make any statements okay do you understand your rights I just read to yes or no yeah yeah okay would you like to talk to me yes or no about about to just about the incident while you're detained right now you don't want to talk to me something to talk about okay the suspect asking for double cuffs lets the officers know that this is not the scammer's first time being arrested as he seems very acquainted with the items Police use when placing someone under arrest things take a dangerous turn when they escort the man back to the precincts [Music] hey what are you doing what are you doing what are you doing stay here you're going get taste stay man the police are exercising an enormous amount of restraint with this man and they're trying to be fair so no one gets hurt they're doing their best to try and deescalate the situation also this scammer chooses to try and Escape in a building that's probably one of the most secure buildings in the city it's a really stupid move you're not going anywhere all the doors are locked work with us please man we don't want to use Force you're on camera you're not free to leave let's solve this peacefully let's get this over with and we move on please the cops are keeping their voices calm to build a friendly rapport with this man someone getting hurt over a scam is not worth it the police are using every opportunity possible to continue to deescalate the situation please what can we do to get you to put the chair down give me something so I can work with I being 100% truthful with you okay you're an adult I'm an adult you you deserve that you deserve the truth and I'm giving you the truth okay I'm not being around the bush with you all right with more than five officers in the room it's surprising this suspect is not giving up police give the man a time limit of 7 minutes before they'll deploy any force will the police's patience resolve this situation or is the scammer intent on pushing the officers to violence but looking for the time you don't know what that means you've got about four more minutes all I'm asking for you to do is cooperate with us put the chair down so Curtis I need you to understand if you throw that chair at us you try to attack us and flee you're going to pick up charges extra charges the swing back and forth and the silent stairs through the chair make me think this suspect is not mentally stable the officer have most likely already picked up on this and they're prepared for any unpredictable behaviors the question is whether or not this man wants to rack up even more felonies or if he wants to choose a smarter path would you at least talk to me no I'll blast you us okay so you want to blast through us is that what you said okay I couldn't understand what you said okay not blessing L I'm not going to let you hurt one of these officers all right look look at your stance right now look what you're doing you'll obviously you obviously are physically going to resist us and not go to jail I'm not going to let you hurt one of these officers all right so we're going to use I'm I'm actually going to specify what we're going to use we're going to use our taser sometimes criminals intentionally entice the police to use violence so they can accuse them of police brutality but that's just another type of scam that does not hold up well in court especially if there's video evidence that would disprove such false claims at this point the man's running out of time oh my gosh I'm so out of shape bro to the right keep going keep going the suspect did run out of time and the police had to use Force but thankfully no one was hurt even when on the ground the scammer is still cracking jokes seems to me that he doesn't care about what he's done it really does call into question his overall mental state when the officers load him in the police car he tries one more time to get out of the situation far as far as I can pick it up can you take it off [Music] Michael oh not that it's just like yeah ow I not do to go first scammers have many different reasons for why they do what they do the most common and obvious answer is getting their hands on a lot of cash without having to get a job but as the scammer continues to give the police a hard time he also tells the police would apparently motivated him to do what he's done the hospital I apologize to you guys bro I was told to do it so that's why told he do God Jesus like we mentioned before based on this man's erratic beh behavior and telling police that God told him to do what he did we think there's a bigger mental health issue going on which is probably why the police exercise caution and extreme patience when handling the suspect but there's also the possibility that this man's trying to make it appear that he's not right in the head in order to avoid harsh punishment could be another scam in the end this scammer was charged with felony shoplifting resisting arrest battery on police officers and a stolen motor vehicle our next scammer has no idea that his lies are about to catch up with him on November 25th 2022 in chamy Georgia police responded to a call from a car dealership about a possible fraudulent transaction when the police arrive before the officer speaks to the suspect employees from the car dealership tell their side of the story we had a car frud purchased how they used a deceased person information how did y'all find out the person was deceased B us called and then I backed it up the report on T I also shared that with protective Barber Barber okay so now we told the we told the um we called the person that referred the customer to us said hey we need Florida Insurance cuz the car has being registered in Florida okay at this point the officer can't just believe everything anyone says she must deduce what is fact from speculation the officer has to make sure the evidence is there to support the serious claims being made so the officer continues to ask the employees more questions about their allegations but he also looks like the guy that that came and picked the car up in the showroom he's got video of it did he say did he say if he was the guy who came and picked up we we had to we we've been trying to get the guy suspicious of what we're doing we don't want him to do that okay how many doors could he get out if he tried you come down the hall they can't get out at all the officer asked about the layout of the building to understand what kind of situation she may be walking into and she's also anticipating that the suspect may try to flee let's see what the suspect's reaction is when he realizes the police have been called hello how you doing today sir you got your license on you no you don't have any identification on you no ma'am all right the look of shock on this guy's face is priceless his first mode of defense is to act confused as to why there's a police officer there the police officer lets the sales employee leave the office to make sure if things escalate an innocent person doesn't get hurt since the man claims to have no form of IDE on him the officer needs to get a better idea of who he is who's your dad what you mean who is my dad they said you came to pick up the car for your dad correct no I didn't come up to pick up a car for my dad the car that you're up here in reference to you didn't tell them that that was your father's car no I didn't tell him that that was my father's car one thing police officers learn quickly is there are always two sides to every story it doesn't matter whether someone might be lying they still have to hear them out and see what they think happened then the officer has to use their judgment as to whether a crime's really occurred how long have you known Eric I just I I I know him why I'm just wondering what what is going on can I ask you that what is going on so the car that you came up here in reference to there's some fraud that is involved in the car the man's inability to properly answer basic questions is a sign that he was completely caught off guard and he seems nervous talking to the officer this usually means that they're quickly trying to come up with answers that won't get them in trouble I was to come up here and hand and hand him something and tell him that I was supposed to give him uh a piece of paper he was supposed to give me a piece of paper and I was supposed to transport the piece of paper that's all I was told so why did Mr because he's not able to why is he not able to he's sick so he's sick at home sick in the hospital sick uh I don't know exactly where he's at currently he's sick so he couldn't come sounds like an excuse a great schooler would make for forgetting his homework acting innocent and naive can only get you so far and this police officer is having none of the scammers blatant lies let me see his phone number sir why you just said talk to him right yes I'm asking you a question you investigating a fraud case I've already explained that to you a fraud this is fraud for for what that's what I'm trying to understand if you have nothing to do with it then don't worry about it okay that's a long time to search for a number that should be at the top of your call history the problem with lying on the spot is that you have to remember what you've previously lied about and you also have to quickly come up with evidence to back up the lies the police officer knows the more she presses the more the lies will continue to unravel the messages that shall have between each other are they blue or green what do you mean are they blue or green are your messages in your phone blue or green this is my private phone that's fine I'm asking you are your messages green or blue my phone is an iPhone I know yours is a iPhone I'm looking at it so now I'm asking you when you're talking to Mr Eric is your messages green or blue I don't know if I was interrogating this guy I'd be so frustrated by now with the way he answers the questions it seems like he's trying to avoid answering them for as long as he possibly can this is a common tactic used to try and talk in circles so the police give up on asking the question or asking a different question this police officer is smarter than our scammer what is it that you want from me who's your friend's vehicle what's your friend's name the license place is out there like I haven't done anything ask you her name is Melissa Melissa who oh my God her name is Melissa in my opinion if I was innocent in all this and didn't know that the car was fraudulent I wouldn't be behaving like this I'd be doing everything in my power to make sure the cops don't think I'm involved but the scammer doesn't know that the officer already already knows the truth about the car so he's just making a fool of himself all right were you the gentleman who came and picked up the car no so if they show me video I'm not going to observe you picking up the car no I don't remember picking up a car how do you not remember picking up a car it's a simple did you pick the car up or no I didn't does this guy think he can just pretend like he doesn't know what's going on and that all of this will go away like typical suspects he starts to get agitated when he realizes the cop is closing in on his lies but this scammer's night is about to get a whole lot worse so again did you pick the car up or no well I don't know what you're talking about all right I'm going to let them play the video and then that'll determine whether or not you going to leave up out of here today all right yeah I I I know I did okay so you did pick it up now why did you pick the car up because I was told that I was able to pick it up this man seems very distracted by his cell phone it makes me wonder if he's tipping someone else off as to what's currently going down suspiciously he's also speaking very slowly and mumbling and almost slurring his words police have to figure out if this man is orchestrating the entire thing by himself or is just the Unlucky Pawn that was told to pick up the car and drop off the paperwork I was told to pick up the vehicle I was told to was because that that's what they told me to do a lot of scammers say this is their first time doing something like this because they think it bodess well with the police but if they're lying it just makes things worse the officer calls her supervisor to see if she has the legal authority to take the man sell phone at this point she suspects that he's trying to delete important evidence all right sir let me see your phone sir let me see your phone for what sir let me see your phone are am I detained or what phone is being confiscated let me confiscated for what sir I don't want to have to keep repeating myself over I'm asking you a question you can tell me why my phone is being [Music] confiscated hey get him get him get him get him get him and now this scammer most likely racked up another charge evading police the officers coordinate and take off running after the suspect and are then faced with a difficult decision taser stop right there turn around turn around Taser Taser get out hook him up hook him up it's never good when situations escalate to this point but criminals like this scammer are desperate to avoid a jail sentence and they'll do anything to try and get away with their crimes but getting tased once doesn't doesn't seem to be enough to deter this scammer stop man after being handcuffed and tased he still tried to make a second run for it the whole this man is digging himself is getting bigger and bigger he was charged with assault against a police officer providing false identification obstruction and tampering with evidence in May 2022 the Dunwoody Police were notified that a young man met up with a buyer for his PS5 he claims the buyer told him he sent him the money VI a cash app but the money never went through and the man took off with his PS5 he was able to give a description of the man his vehicle and his license plate number a few days later police spot the vehicle and confront the driver it might not seem like there's a lot going on here but there's a lot to break down first this young man must be doing pretty well for himself if he's driving a new Mercedes second he immediately notified the police that he was carrying a firearm so the cops could take it as evidence third after taking off the young man's hat he notices the young man has bright red hair matching the description of the man they're looking for I'm a good kid guys here like I said you're not 100r at this point but uh I'm going to ask you if you so you have were you done Woody last week um I don't remember just think hard about it um maybe yeah maybe I i' be everywhere okay notice how he first says that he doesn't know if he was in Dunwoody last week I understand if you drive around a lot for your job but if you were in a different town a few days ago wouldn't you remember that and then when the officer asked him again if he was meeting up with anyone in dun Woody he says yes like he never forgot he was there I only buy shoing PlayStation 5 stuff like that sir I I I'm not going to lie to you guys that's the only thing I buy okay okay all right is the PlayStation that's in the back of your car still in that box yeah okay most of the time guilty people claim they would never lie pay attention to the fact that he's the first person in the conversation to mention anything about stealing which means he probably knows more than he's letting on you're saying you didn't meet up with anybody at the Best Buy couple days sir I'm I told you I meet up with people yes sir I meet up with people and buy my pass FES okay and was there a particular one where you were going to buy one for I yeah send him the money on cash out so he does remember being in dun Woody and the exact altercation the police are referring to if you're a decent buyer wouldn't you wait to make sure the money's gone through before taking off at the item the suspect doesn't know it yet but the police already know a lot more details about what really happened I know what I was told so that's why I'm asking you now because what I was told then is that with your phone you had it set a certain way to where no matter what you did on it it wasn't going to go through no I just so I can sa my my phone right now so was your phone in airplane mode or wasn't it at the time of making that transaction no it was not bro it sent it sent he knew why the police were talking to him from the very beginning but he didn't want to tip his hand before they showed theirs police no scammers usually create fake profiles and once the scam is completed they delete all traces that they ever exist this young man is looking more and more like a professional scammer every time he says something if I didn't it and if like I said if he didn't bro F right there he can get bro it's there's no problem know I'm saying I'm not a is that PlayStation that you bought at the Best Buy in dun is it still in the vehicle now or is it somewhere else um that's that's one I recently just bought usually Facebook Marketplace scammers will have a verified profile where they conduct legal exchanges so they have a profile to give police to back up their lives but having a verified profile doesn't mean they don't have a handful of other fake accounts with different names that they use for sketchy transactions like I said based on the odor we're going to check the car just to make sure is there anything else in the vehicle outside from the firearm um my firearm no sir okay there's um a small amount of marijuana maybe like less than a gram um the police want to give the suspect a chance to tell them anything else they should know but what they're not telling the suspect is that they have even more information about about him and they need to verify his name to interrogate him about something else where is the person that is supposed to be renting this vehicle um okay guys he lives right around the corner I know who it's supposed to be cuz I talked to the person that actually owns this car that rent the out okay and it's not you the possible reasons why someone would ask someone else to rent a car for them is because they're too young to drive they have a criminal background or they don't have a license it's possible the scammer just wanted to show up in a nice car to trick the buyer into believing that he has a enough money and therefore has no reason to steal a Playstation number he has the bo at that's why I'm trying to figure out so I I believe that he is selling and buying but I think it's under some sort of pretenses checking the serial number of a weapon is always protocol to see if that serial number is wanted in any other crimes and if it's licensed to the person that was holding it and after checking the background of the driver they discover something new I I'm not a bad kid sir what's that I said I'm not a bad kid at all man all right sit tight all right yes sir how you doing buddy your license suspended it is that's what I'm being told are you serious that's what I'm being told based on the previous conversation I'd assume this suspect had someone else rent the vehicle because he knew no rental company would give him a car with his suspended license the police officers now have enough to officially place this scammer under arrest which is usually when situations like this can escalate under arrest this point driving under suspension possession less than an ounce and it also by taking for the PlayStation 5 even though you don't have it on you um sir okay okay I wanted to say that plation 5 like I said before I thought I send the payment I did send the payment I show him the he show he said let me see the um let me see the the screen now he's playing the victim claiming he's the one that got scammed that's a common scammer tactic the police can't give the man any of the items in the car he's claiming to own because the car is registered to someone else our scam was obviously not smart enough to think that portion of the scam through possession else cuz you have a little bit of weed which would normally be a ticket but because you have other charges okay can I ask you a question uhhuh okay the weed sir I mean I admitted is it's a little getting arrested is a stressful situation but you can't use your scammer tactics on police officers they won't buy it no matter what excuse this guy has or if he thinks he can bribe the accuser to drop charges it's too late he shouldn't have scammed anyone to begin with and due to the price to the PlayStation this scammer now has a felony charge I'm not a bad kid do I do I have to do I have to have my hands behind my back like a real that's our policy our policy and not so much to jail but our policy says anyone unless there's some ex circumstance where like they're one armed or they have some like a rotator cup thing so there's nothing wrong judging by how many questions this man's asking the police it seems like he doesn't really keep track of all the possible laws he's broken over the years and he's worried now that it's all going to come crashing in down on him right at once the victim of the stolen Play Station finally arrives to ID the man in custody and he tells his side of the story he doesn't have your PlayStation but he's you know he's not he's not denying that you guys met up over there and that but he saying he gave me he he's claiming he gave you the 625 the victim needs to positively ID the suspect so the police can be sure they have the right guy it can be nerve-wracking to ID someone face to face but the victim finally agrees and the two men confront each other what's up hey look I I apologize my dog I thought I sent you the payment but I have another PlayStation I just bought bro I want mine or money bro I'll give you that one plus some money bro if you just you feel me I'll give you that plus some money right now this man is trying his hardest to basically bribe the police and the witness to drop the charges but that's never going to happen if they accept this man's bargain he'll never learn his lesson the man was charged with possession of marijuana less than 1 oce driving on a suspended license and theft by taking on October 17th 2022 Florida officers responded to a call from a local bank about suspected fraud a woman was trying to withdraw over $4,000 she claimed to not know her entire account number but she had her ID with her and the last four digits of the account but what this suspected scammer doesn't know is that the bank was already onto her scam and already called the police ma'am no no no no no no no no no you're not going to do that you're not going stand over there please I I literally have my ride stand over there I'm not going to tell you pleas stand over there you what's the matter Cheryl yeah scammers have all sorts of reactions to being called some run some get angry and some pretend like they have no idea what's going on while one of the officers escorts the suspect outside the other officer must get more information about the suspect and figure out whether or not a crime was committed so the actual customer is in phyl mean yeah I'm talking to them right now this is the third time that she has been trying to the right now John I the F hey what's going on who's this individual here the real account holder informs the officer that she's had her identity stolen and has opened a new account the scammer had no idea that the compromised account had already been closed after getting that confirmation the officer can now go back and interrogate the suspect further you have the right to remain silent anything you say can will be used against you in a court of law you have the right to talk to a lawyer and have him present with you while you were being questioned why am I being if you cannot afford to hire a lawyer one will be appointed to represent you before enduring any question do you understand each's rights that explain to you yes having these rights of Mind do you want to talk to me about while we're here today I'm sorry about now you want to talk to me about why we're here today um um I'm not really sure questioning I guess my ID okay what's your real name my real name it's it's Cheryl is it Cheryl Cheryl okay where'd you get your ID back home where back home I mean I don't understand why this is even like a issue yeah there's a few key elements in this clip that I want to point out because they're very telling first she takes a long time to answer simple questions second notice the wrist brace many Bank scammers wear a wrist brace on their dominant hand so they have an excuse for when their signature doesn't match the account signature that's a major sign that this woman is a professional scammer I just spoke to the individual that goes by the same name as you that has the account on the phone TD Bank that know your information is correct are you saying that whye that you are who you say you are and then that is you I feel like something's definitely wrong right now and I just don't I need to talk to an attorney evidently because I don't understand simple question I understand the question but I also know that anything I say can be used against me and I want to make how about that I'll go back what's your social the police officer's questions are not random they're specifically trying to uncover the woman's Lies by asking personal information of her supposed identity what this scammer doesn't know is that inside the squad car the other officers trying to obtain a picture of the real account holders ID to see if the picture matches up with the suspect right now we have from okay so are you saying you are Sher you are the individual that gave me that ID and that is exactly who you are that's who you were born with that information um I've already explained that I I do want to speak to an attorney though that's if you're really arresting me right now or are you detained right now are you under arrest well no I'm not detained but you just read me my Miranda rights you said because they're trying to deter me for crime was committed so now you're telling me you are that person or you're not that person I've been telling you I'm that person but I'm just trying to figure out why so the ID she gave me she's claiming that's who she is from Pennsylvania I spoke to the person that has the same information as her on the phone the TD Bank that their records have and that person has had um the identity stolen in three different locations and this is the newest one one's in New York one's in Flor by law police officers are required to read you your Miranda Rights even if they haven't arrested you this scammer is under custodial interrogation and therefore police must perform their duty of advising her of her personal rights so anything she does say can be legally used in court later the girl said there was multiple Sher whenever she tried to look me up so she had an issue even Finding Me In the Beginning like you know what I mean so blaming things on a system error is another classic scammer move I also wonder what she's doing on her cell phone maybe she's tipping off other scammers that she's been called at the same time the police finally get the ID picture of the person the account belongs to does it match our suspect the ID we got out of Pennsylvania the picture that comes back to that is cut in half looks like it's not everything's corre besides the picture and her identity has been taken in three different locations yeah so I told teletype to email me the actual picture so they don't they don't send me an email bring your car over here this my social law give me the right social yeah we're just verifying the picture that's on the DM the suspect is still adamant that she gave the police the right information even faced with the impending arrival of the ID picture this woman is still Clinging On to the lies she's told it's hard to admit guilt especially when you know the consequences are going to be harsh do you live here in Flor no just visiting um I have another equipment I to though trying I was tning that inside earlier but I could come back I need to not sure what Universe this woman lives in where she thinks she can just leave an investigation and come back when it fits her schedule she also claims she took an Uber here but the more police dig into her story the more it begins to fall apart so you're saying that ID belongs here yes sir so when we run it and that's the picture that comes up from the state of Pennsylvania that's not you that is 1,000% not you okay I don't I don't understand I really don't understand we run the ID that's the picture that comes up the DMB through the DMV state to state so we're going to try this again what's your name CHL I'm going to let you know if we don't get your name you're going to go to jail if this woman continues to give the wrong name to the police it'll be an added charge on top of her fraud because she's now guilty of providing a false name to a law enforcement officer the amount of time the police have wasted on this scammer is frustrating if she just admitted to what she's done the entire situation could have been over a lot sooner I can tell you this is a fake idea I'll show you how see you thought you printed a good ID except for the Hologram showed up as a real print on your picture it's not a hologram the Hologram showed up I didn't so who are you you're not cherl you're not from Pennsylvania and that's not your ID so let's try this again who are you I need to understand exactly what's happening right now because you just said that if I no no I'm not I'm not I don't the police are well aware that when the handcuffs come out suspects get even more agitated but sometimes taking out handcuffs can be a way to put pressure on the subject to start being honest with them I'm not trying to be arrested right now I'm not that's not well you're good fine so if I I'm not done talking I'm not done talking we're done no I wasn't done we are done we are done turn off turn off please give me hand my WR is already my give C for Cher can I hold on one second I'm just putting my [Music] phone I was just trying to make it easier so I could put my arm back This Woman's definitely not interested in making anything easier but the harsh reality she's facing is entirely her own fault she still needs to give the police her real name but this woman seems to think that if she withholds the information it might help her but in reality it'll make her situation 10 times worse so I don't know if you understand what he's trying to tell you right so presenting false information that's another charge separate from what happened in there so you have another charge added so I'm not TR to have anything add can go back and forth with this all day but that's going to be an extra charge and it's a felony so I'm letting you know right now so whatever game is you want to play it is what it is so so if you want to add an extra charge to what you already have in there that's up to you all right we could be here all day so I don't want an extra charge of any kind I don't want any charge okay so are you ready to identify yourself positively identify yourself or you want to want us to keep on because we're going to take you to county jail if someone doesn't give their legal name to police they're booked as is a Jane Doe this woman will sit in jail until they can obtain her legal name if it takes 2 weeks or a year she'll remain in jail until she's properly identified but when the police search her person they find important information yeah lighter as I think 10 America's most convenient bank which bank is that who's no caller ID who's on the phone I was letting a friend know that I was getting detained she was on the phone not the whole time just literally minutes oh for the last 30 minutes yeah that's a long time okay stop L I miss you made that while I was standing over I was just trying to let them know so they can hear my literally my my person the person yeah doesn't make any sense start walking over there that's what I say for my boyfriend it's not your boyfriend is your person yeah my person she has two pens from another bank which she may have scammed as well one of the most annoying components to dealing with scammers are the constant lies and the deflecting answers it's timec consuming and disrespectful the police on the scene are running out of patience listen I don't want to be put in as a j go obviously so I can give you my name so you want to give me your real name I did listen you don't understand you don't know me I'm trying to identify who you are but you're over here you're lying to me the whole time so how can I give you information if you want to lie it's okay my no I got you I got where are we going to that car over there it's a little little too late for her to admit that she isn't the woman she claims to be she's already in cuffs and they're on their way to jail to get booked what's your real name Christine [Music] Christina do you have a floral id id at the moment I don't have a flid what do you have to identify who you are I'm in the process of getting one sir I do not what have you had in the past to identify who you are I've had an idea in the past but my license has been suspended that's fine yeah what kind from where from Georgia Georgia yeah all right she's in Florida with a stolen identity from Pennsylvania but she's really from Georgia that just goes to show you how big the web of scamming can go every year 23 million people in the US are victims of identity theft it's one of the most rampant crimes globally she was charged with false ID given to a law enforcement officer and possession of another person's ID without their consent her sentence was 60 days in jail and 12 months probation a lot of people think scammers should get longer sentences to deter them from committing the same crimes in the future what do you think from impersonating a story employee to impersonating a police officer and from bad checks to identity theft we hope you enjoyed this list of scammers who were caught in the act make sure to hit our subscribe button to
