Who shot these? You don't know? You are all under arrest. You are all going to jail. Give me your licenses right now. It's all snook. One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Roll over on your stomach. ON YOUR STOMACH! ROLL ROLL THE GO OVER! NOW! ON YOUR STOMACH! Poaching is the practice of illegally killing and capturing animals. It's illegal in all 50 states. Some really cruel people commit the crime anyway. They think they can get away with it until the cops catch these wildlife poachers acting dumb and innocent. And tell me why you left the rib meat down there. Nothing there? What do you mean by nothing there? On the 6th of September, 2024, in Alaska, state troopers got a report about a freshly killed moose. Apparently, the carcass still had meat on it that wasn't taken by the hunters. The officers quickly made contact with one of the hunters who they'd later identify as Robert. Hey guys. Good. I'm Justin with the Alaska Wildlife Troopers. Rob Fulton? You too. Looks like you got a moose, huh? Good for you. How many folks in camp today? Just me and him right now. What do they have to do? Do they still hunting? Okay. Perfect. Um is this your moose? Do you mind if I look at it? And it would it be okay if I looked at a license and a harvest ticket? Oh, there's another one? Okay. Oh, not yours but another guy's. Okay. Got two moose, okay. You know what? You can probably leave it right up there. Yeah, I can uh um So, I think this is the widest part out here. It's I've got I've got three on the right, three on the left, and then I think I'm going to you're going to use this one or this one. When we We get them through the gills there. What do you have over there? 48 and 1/2. Okay. The officers inspected the head of the moose as they were trying to find out whether the hunters were in compliance before the animal was killed. The trooper then discovered that he hadn't validated his kill, so he taught the man how to do it. Then the officer asked to take a look at the meat from the killed moose. Is this your meat here? Um yeah. Which one's your moose? Oh, it's this one here. Okay. So, looks like uh I've got a hindquarter. Okay. All right, front shoulder, front shoulder. And then where's where's your rib meat? Here's rib meat and there's all kinds of different Where's the ribs? Here it is. There's some ribs here. What do you mean some? >> well, the one side, the other side just got shot. And then we were cutting meat out and then stuffed them in the bag. >> Okay. Can we You mind if I look and see how much rib meat you got? So, this moose is 48 and 1/2. Um how long did you look at it before you shot it? He came through the trees and I stood down and I looked at him. He was there standing there. And he walked up a little ways and and he was kind of like inside outside inside outside. And he and he walked up and then he was standing there and he and he looked over at me and I must have seen Yeah. that other deal. And I swore that he was You thought you thought four brow times? >> I saw four or five or six four brow tines. Okay. And then when I shot him then he you know he tumbled around and I shot again and I guess that's when Okay. The troopers took a look at what was supposedly Robert's meat only to find one set of ribs along with various other parts of the animal. Meanwhile, Robert explained to the officers where he'd killed the moose as well as how to get back there and that's when the cops discovered his secret. Let me back up so well just a second ago let me it's it's all right it's it's cool okay. You're not like not under arrest or anything like that but I I want to make sure I heard you correctly because I think So that was my rib cage. You said that's your rib cage was actually not? Okay so you have an entire set of ribs down there? >> there's two sets of ribs down there with that one. Two sets? Okay. Is there any reason why? We had to cut some of the meat off of there. Okay. We did cut a bunch of the meats. I mean you could go look at the meat and everything we did cut off of it. Okay. But as far as like the the rib deals and stuff like that. >> Okay. So truth So truth time. Is there anything else we're going to find down there? The heart and liver and Okay any other meat on the backbone? Nope. Okay. Well, I appreciate you coming clean. We're going to go down anyways um and uh can we expect your continued cooperation when we come back up if we have to talk further? Thank you. I appreciate that. And I'm going to be straight with you just like my partner will be. Yeah. So um There's two ribs down Okay and I and inside. Okay. All right well, here's what we're going to do. We're going to head down that way. You may see us in a little bit. Obviously, you are free to go. You're not under arrest. Um don't you know you you do you. I've got your contact info but >> Am I am I all right with this? I know it's supposed to be It's sub-legal? Okay. It is short. Um I'm going to go take a look at this kill site and then I'll let you know what we're going to do about the uh the sub-legal part of it, that The officer explained to Robert that because the moose's antlers were less than 50 inches across, it was considered illegal to kill. So, for this offense, he'd be subject to a fine. However, they wanted to be sure about their findings, so they'd first go to the kill site to investigate before deciding on the actual punishment. No plus bags about the flight bag though. Got the metal detector in here? Okay. Push hold. Well, mine's bigger. It's hard. Finally above it, all right, partner. Run it over the hide. Okay, I'm going to roll it for you. Yeah. That's good. This is actually pretty good, guys. Let me see. When they arrived at the kill site, they saw it was definitely more than just a set of ribs and some other organs left behind. The sheer amount of unclaimed meat there was simply tremendous. And what the troopers saw was definitely a crime in Alaska. As a result, they ventured back to Robert's campsite. And tell me why you left the rib meat down there. I thought it was like Nothing there, what do you mean by nothing there? Okay. Was it because it was going to be too much of a pack back to the trail? Okay. Yeah, that's what you mentioned earlier. You said it was going to Who said leave the rib meat? Who was the guy that was with you? He's not here anymore? He said just leave the rib meat, so you left the rib meat at his suggestion? Yeah. Um what about the the Did you reach inside and get the good tenderloins from? Well, there's no there's no cut there. I don't So, I don't see that. So, why don't you Why don't you show me Why don't you pull your quarters off? Okay. Which which quarters go to that moose? Okay. Go ahead and pull them down. The troopers finally called the man's bluff. He didn't have a real reason why he left the meat behind at the kill site. Maybe he was just inexperienced, but it didn't excuse the man from following the rules. The officer then asked the man to show his portion of the meat and had him take the meat down so they could confiscate it. Your bull's a little short on meat. Okay. Um You've got uh you're a little short on meat. So, at this point, what's probably going to happen is I'm going to give you a couple of tickets, okay? Do you have a photo ID? Mhm. All right. Okay, I'll be right back. Is that okay? Yes, or when I looked at it, it didn't seem four times. You know what? That can >> This is the thing The thing is is that mistake happens, and I understand and I I empathize with that. The what What did we do wrong? What the issue? The more important thing here is is while I can understand that like a mistake is made on judging the four brow tines, three brow tines in the moment there, there was no excuse for leaving all that rib meat. Okay? All the rib heads are still on the bone. Can we take just the rib meat? All the ribs and the rib heads are still on the bone? The ribs heads are still on the bone. Yeah, so good. Cut it right down the the edge of the backbone. And sides of ribs, yeah. They charged the man with illegally taking a bull moose as it didn't meet the antler restrictions for the season they were in. He was also charged with failing to salvage all the edible meat and transporting antlers from a kill site before salvaging edible meat. The transporting charge was dropped, but he was found guilty of the other two charges after pleading no contest. On the 19th of January, 2024 in Florida, fish and wildlife officers were on routine patrol and during the course of things, they conducted a resource inspection of a boat ramp. When the officers got there, they met with a group of duck hunters who'd just come back to the boat dock after a very long hunt. >> How was the hunt? It was good. We got six bluebills. We got 11. Okay. Yeah. All right, sounds good. Can I take a look at them real quick? Small bluebills? Yes, sir. And those And then those are five, and then we've got a wall mount there, so. Okay. So. Is that all the birds on the boat? >> Yeah. Okay. There's those ones back. I'll take a look at licenses and stuff. Um you can go ahead and get the trailer if you want, and that way we can pull it out. We don't have to hang onto the boat and all that. >> The bluebills are definitely here. Oh, it's all we can find. Yeah. Like Yeah, maybe two. Yeah. The ring necks like the fresh water more than the salt water. So you'll find more of them. And you haven't found the the ringers there? >> No, it's all blue bills. It's ridiculous. Huh. [snorts] Here's my licenses. Cuz those are those are areas that I would expect. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Then in in years past it's blue wings and ring necks, and this year it's all blue wings. First off, the officer inspected each of their licenses. There was a 14-year-old boy in the group, so if the officer found any infractions, the young man would be exempt. Meanwhile, the officer continued asking the suspects about their hunting experience. They were then instructed to hitch their boat back onto the trailer. Yeah, my dream is to get a redhead, but Start start putting in for the refuge. We always do. I mean, we've never been to What are you dragging? Stop. Go. Hold on. Don't be forgetting the floater up. Yeah, don't worry. You want to help that old aluminum prop? All right. And you have three life jackets on board? Uh life jackets following suit. Tim just he just put that one in the back of the truck or something. Looks like there's three in there. Yeah. That'll work. While they were all in compliance with the lifejacket requirements, somehow it was clear they had something to hide. When they parked their boat, they did it way too fast, perhaps out of nervousness. The officer picked up on it and asked the hunters permission to inspect what they'd killed. >> You mind if I hop up real quick? >> Yeah. Any more birds? Yeah, there's one we crippled a group. That's it. We crippled a group, two swam off, dropped two. And The officer continued his inspection, making sure they were in compliance with hunting laws in Florida. He not only counted their kills, but he also inspected their rifles, ensuring they had the correct number of shells. He then instructed the hunters to place each of the ducks onto the tailgate of his truck. I'm going to go ahead and hop down. Where'd that uh that other the matter Yeah, where'd you put yours at? Your other one. It's in there. You can bring it and put it on my tailgate for me? It's right there. There you go. And where's your ID, hunting license, all that good stuff? Here's this. All right. Give me a minute. You can clean up the boat and do whatever you need to. Just don't go anywhere. Hey, Junior, whose boat is it? It's mine. It's your boat? Yes, sir. Okay. Do you have the registration? Yes, sir. I should. How long have you owned it? Uh so, it's my stepdad's. My Okay. >> My stepdad owns the boat, he bought it for me. And Yeah. All right, that's the expired one, but Oh, it's done. Yeah, that one's good through September. All right, good deal. While out on the water, the group seemed to be in compliance with most of the hunting laws. However, when the officer tallied up the ducks they'd killed, they were well beyond what was allowed. When the officer confronted them, they tried to reason with him. All right, senior. Yeah. So, explain to me what was what happened, what was going on? With the ducks? >> Yeah. A bunch came in and we shot and we're usually not that good of shooting too too many fell. Okay. We had two cripples, winged two, they started swimming off. And >> [snorts] >> I we didn't want to just waste them and I mean, I promise you, man, we we I mean, we we up. I'm not going to lie, but we're not criminals. We don't do this. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, you killed eight of them in one flight? No. No, no, no, we had a couple already. Like, what did we have? Four or five? I don't No, we had four and then then we had a group come in. And well over 15. And we we just started unloading and I don't two got winged. Kind of went off, two dropped. I don't didn't want to leave the winged ones just because they couldn't fly. They they kept trying to get up and I I I went out there and finished both of them. So. Yeah. I I didn't want to throw them in the bushes, guilty conscience. Right. So, I said, you know, might as well eat them. Okay. Cuz I I know guys that throw them in the bushes and I I can't do it. I feel too bad. Right. So Yeah, that's All right. Well, give me a minute. During their exchange with the officer, the suspects were mostly cooperative, but ultimately, they had broken the law. After already shooting their limit, they continued firing on a flock of ducks. The officer then went back to his truck to ensure he had the right paperwork and to document their identities. Suddenly, one of the suspects came crying to him for mercy. Yeah. Just have mercy on us, please. Okay. So, I've never gone through this. I Right. don't know what happens. Okay. Well, I'll explain everything if you'll just wait over next to your truck. >> All right. All right, Junior and Senior. Go ahead and step over here. I'll explain everything to you. All right. So, Junior you told me there were no more ducks on the boat. Okay? Yep. So, that is considered interference with an FWC officer. Okay. Because you were mostly cooperative the whole other time, I'm writing you a warning for that. That is a criminal charge. You can go to jail for it. It's a first-degree misdemeanor. But, there's that warning. All right. I did issue you each one citation. Yes, sir. Uh it is a criminal citation. You're going to have to go see a judge in Brevard County down in Viera. Yes, sir. And talk to him about what happened today. Um so, the charge is a second-degree misdemeanor. The judge can do whatever he wants. Yes, sir. I'm just deferring to him. That's how this system works right now. Yes, sir. Um so I'll explain the citation to you. I'll need you to sign it. By signing it's not an admission of guilt. Okay. It's saying you will show up and talk to the judge. Ultimately, the two legal adults got charges for taking more ducks than allowed. They were given a misdemeanor violating a Florida administrative code pertaining to migratory birds. They each had to pay a fine of $125 and make a mandatory donation to the Fish and Wildlife Foundation in the amount of $200. On the 6th of July, 2025, back in Florida, Fish and Wildlife officers were on routine patrol. As they were making their rounds, they spotted a boat driving recklessly next to a group of divers. When they approached the boat, the four male passengers inside all seemed to have been diving as well. >> Hey guys. I'm Officer Setbridge, Florida Fish and Wildlife. Reason why we're stopping is just when you pass that boat with the dive flag, you got to be at slow speed. Yeah, within 100 yd of a boat that's diving. I see you guys were diving, too. You got to come down because they got people in the water. You know? No, I got you. You got You got your driver's license, sir? And registration for the boat? Okay. Oh, no, no, no. Thank you. Thank you. No, I've got plenty of water. Thank you. I I brought a bunch with me. Huh? Oh, no, no, no, no. No, it does sound good. You guys shoot any fish? You guys shoot any fish? No? See anything? Oh, really? Yeah. I got you. Did they Did they ask for her back? It's Pennsylvania. It's PA. Yeah, a lot of sharks. That's why we think somebody just caught a shark shark right there along the rocks. First off, they obtained the group's license and boat registration. Everything seemed to be in order, but since the officers stopped them, they also had to conduct a search of the vessel to make sure there were no fish on board. When the officer informed the suspects he'd be coming aboard, it seemed like everyone got nervous, showing signs of dishonesty. All right, I'm going to come on and just take a and see what if you got any fish on board. Take That's chocolate. Yeah. Um All right, so no fish whatsoever. Anything? We're going to look through everything. So, any fish anywhere? Now's the time to be honest if there is. Cuz if we find it, so is there any fish on board? Is there? You is When you were spearfishing, where are the fish at? Back here? All right, all you guys stand up there. Stand up there. Where? Where? In there? Okay. All right. Who shot these? Who shot these? Who shot these? You don't know? You are all under arrest. You are all going to jail. Give me your licenses right now. It's all snook. In Florida, for a variety of reasons, snooks are considered a protected species. As a result, spearing these fish is highly illegal. Since they were caught with several on board and they lied about it, it was a no-brainer they'd be arrested. Why'd you guys say you didn't have any fish? Why'd you guys say you didn't have any fish? What do you mean you don't know? We asked you a question. What did you say? What did you say? This is ridiculous. This fish is a sought-after game fish. You're all You're all going I don't want that. I don't need that right now. You can't spear snook. Take that. There's a bunch of them. All right. Put them No. No, you can't. You're keeping that on. Everyone put a life jacket on right now. The cop here, who was really no nonsense, was starting to lose his patience. They had shamelessly lied to him, and he caught them in with fish on board. When confronted about why they lied, they had no viable reason. One by one, they put their life jackets on and went to the other boat. Stand, get on that boat. Put your wallet right here. Here, put your hands behind your back. You're under arrest for spearfishing of snook. You understand? It's not tight. I can fit my finger through your hand. It's not tight at all. Sit on the ground. On the ground. Yep, come on. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. Yep. Don't grip your hands. Hey, don't grip your hands. Stop moving your hands, dude. All right? You stay on that boat real quick. Give me 1 second. Yeah, I can help you to sit in 1 second as soon as I grab my walk. Hold on. Hold on. 1 second. To move the boat right now so you don't hit the rocks. I need you to You come on. You come on. I need you to move the boat up there so we don't hit the rocks. Jade, you're in charge of the boat. Give me your uh uh handcuffs. No, you just go straight ahead over here. I'm going to be behind you, okay? So, just go idle over here so we don't go into the rocks. I'm going to be right right behind you. The officer then instructed one of the men in the group to make sure and move the boat so it didn't get damaged. After clearing the vessel, he then asked the man to step into their boat. After reading their Miranda rights, he then began to interview the men about what they'd done. So, you understand, right? Do you have a fishing license? Yeah, I got it in my Uh it's in my wallet. Okay. Okay. Um I actually I need to get those snook off of that boat. Can you tell him to come back real quick? Why need a I need to get pictures for jail. Totally forgot that. No, we need to put them on the ruler. Hey, call Joe and tell him to turn around. Take the spear guns. Yeah, we got to get the spear guns, too. Sorry, man. I'm I was a little annoyed. Can I stash the lighter right there or you No, I'll just grab them and throw them real quick. They're all in here. Here you go. Up here. Oh, oh, I don't want to get bit by that guy. Just don't want to get bit by this freaking barracuda. Sarcastically, he congratulated the men as the size of the fish they'd caught was impressive. The cops then found out that one of the men had a work authorization out of Cuba. After the arrest went down, it was immediately reported to ICE. Next up, the officer released some of the fish they'd caught and confiscated the rest. >> The only reason we stopped them is they blew by a dive boat with a dive flag up. Hey, before we leave, now's your time. Is there any more fish? Not All right. Just what? In the what? Live well, where they were? All right, cool. Yeah, I already looked in there. All right. Thank you guys, we appreciate it. So, this the snook you can't spear them. They're out of season, and they're all not in the right size, okay? So, everything about those fish are illegal. We get him. We get the driver up first. >> Okay. Walk up to the front right there. What you need might need to do is just put your butt on the side, and then you scoop your legs over. Go ahead, take a knee. Oh, you got You stay right there, okay? You're going to walk up to the front right here, and you're going to put your butt on that railing. Okay, go ahead. The remaining suspects were escorted off the boat, and in the end, all four of the men were charged. They were charged with multiple counts of unlawfully harvesting snook, possessing snook outside of size limits, and possessing or harvesting snook out of season. On July 25th, 2024, while patrolling the waters, the cops encountered a diving boat, and there were some undersized lobsters on board. When an officer boarded the vessel, he was informed by the people on board that their other companions were still swimming in the water. The first priority was to find the other divers, identify them, and inspect their license. How many do we have? Two undersized. Two undersized? Yeah. You guys are missing two divers, correct? >> Yeah. Can you give me their names? And you can look at their licenses. What are What are they wearing? Troy is wearing pink shorts and blue shorts. Mark is wearing white shorts. Mark is wearing blue shorts. How bad are they undersized? They're undersized. I mean, whether it's by air or by No matter what. How long ago How long have they been in the water for? Probably about 15 minutes. We just stacked the one on the pole. The other one don't come up until he's out of air, but Yeah, that's not good, though. So, I'm guessing I can't be put back in the water right now. Uh I mean, you guys are looking for people, so I don't know why you guys are looking for people, so you're missing people, so I mean, I don't think you guys want to be put in a position of losing a third. Until the cops caught up with them, they didn't seem to realize that their lobsters were undersized. Apparently, they relied on the divers in the water to measure their lobsters. After searching for a few more minutes, one of the missing divers appeared, and it was a man named Kyle. Sheriff's office, how do you do, man? Good, sir. How are you? Good. Can I get your up your back, please? Can you give them to me? Mark, they're the ones over there. You should have been measuring them in the water. Mark! I did. Hand me the bag. >> We got people with undersized. Can you put them back over there, please, Mark? Can you check my bag, please, and let me know what it is? Is there more action over here? All right. We never found them this far. Who Who's measuring them for the ones that are undersized? Uh Mark is measuring all of them. I measured I I measured them. Marty was measuring. them. I don't know. It was It was Will and Haley. 11:28 I was measuring. I was driving. Y'all didn't trust me to measure. They just wanted to I would have helped with his box. That wasn't fun. You almost did. The officer opened the dive bag and counted the lobsters. There were 14 of them inside, including the ones that were under the limit. Kyle told the officers that he measured the lobsters in the water, but he clearly hadn't done it properly if he'd measured them at all. Shortly after, he made his way onto the boat to talk to the officer. You want to give me your bag? I'll get He's got my bag. No, I'm talking about your your uh This is my bag. I'll get my equipment off. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. How you doing, man? waterproof waterproof You're good. I measured every single one I could in the water. Yeah. Yeah, it was sketchy. You measured them all? Woo. I'm about to go swimming. No, no, no story here. You just want to find me something. All right. Guys, you cannot You cannot measure lobster, man. No, no, hey, you can't do this like this, man. We stick together. You got a problem with us? No. There are these two and those ones right there. Yes, sir. All of them are separate. Just small. In the state of Florida, for a lobster to be legal, the carapace of the lobster has to be longer than 3 in. The officer confiscated the group's dive bag, stepped back into his patrol boat, and began measuring the lobsters with a special tool. Small? Small? Small. Yeah, it's small. That's good. What do you think about this? What do you think? That's good? That's fine? >> [music] >> 1 2 3 4 5 Put them Put them back in the bag. Huh? Hand them off to them? No. There. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I I Yeah, over over the limit. The officer found nine undersized lobsters in the bag, and at that point, they attached the boats together using a cord. One of the cops gave the group a rundown, telling them everything they found wrong with the group's catch. So, all right, you guys. This this is the issue we have. Yeah. Nine in your bag. And you have three in your bag. Do you understand? You came up with this bag, so all you guys are harvesting. You got to be harvesting everybody else who are not harvesters. If they're not in there with you, you can't harvest for everybody. I know that. And then on top of that, the water No. I I don't ever leave You were just browsing the water, man. He was looking at me like that. He used to smoke. I know, but Look at this. All of the lobsters are So, once again, medical attention I think I'm going Really? So, this Well, we've never left this any area counting and and measuring. >> I understand. But, as I said, you have to play by the rules. The rules are set The rules rules are set in place so that people are just, you know, everybody harvest them throughout, you know, and makes And that takes her and her with you, the water. And then we're looking in the bag while you're just counting. Got you. She's harvesting. Okay. But, but I didn't have that I didn't have That's the problem. And then on top of that, you're scared the weeds are all over the place. Yeah. We had everything We have to regulate ourselves. It took a while for the cop to explain things because some of the men kept talking back, claiming they were correct. After explaining all the group's wrongdoings, it was then the officer's job to throw the undersized lobsters back into the water. Yeah. Okay. One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Seven. Eight. And then these are over the limit. All right. I took a picture of my small ones. Small ones. Where are your small ones at? Right here. These three right here. I already took pictures of them measuring them with ID. Uh just uh Damn. All right. Let's toss them in. All right. Remember, he keeps the big ones. Right. All right. I want I want I'm going to separate the big ones right here. One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. All right. One, two, three, four, five, six. They charged Kyle with being over the limit on crawfish, no measuring device in the water, and three counts of possession of undersized crawfish. He later played no contest and was fined $348. On the 3rd of November, 2024 in Floral City, a fish and wildlife officer was on a resource patrol when he saw a suspicious vehicle being driven down the road. He decided to investigate and pulled the truck over. You speak any English? Uh I speak Spanish, no English at all? No. Stay tuned. Okay, I'm Officer Polly with Florida Fish and Wildlife, okay? Okay. Do you own this truck? Yes. You own this truck? Okay, you have the registration for the truck? Do you have the registration? Uh oh, yes. This one? Yes. Or this one? This one? Let me see. This one? >> Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. You can stand out there. Stay by the door. Stay by your truck. Make 10-25 with a rotational record. Have this vehicle towed. I'm about a half mile in by the check station. Early on in the investigation, the cop decided to have the vehicle towed and it was unclear why he did so, but there was likely an issue with the truck's registration. The driver of the vehicle, Albert, decided to get out of the truck while the cop ran his info, showing he was likely unfamiliar with law enforcement protocol. Next up, the officer searched the truck's interior. >> I'm going to open your back door, okay? Do you have any firearms up here? Are there any firearms? Do you have any guns in here? Okay, keep your hands right there. >> [snorts] >> Okay. It turned out that Albert was hiding a deer in the back seat of his vehicle. The issue was when the officer caught him, it wasn't the season for hunting deer. After getting pictures for evidence, the officer read him his rights so they could proceed with the questioning. >> Hey, how are you doing? Would it be all right if I put you on speaker phone and you can translate some Miranda warnings for me? Kim said she's not comfortable with doing it. Okay. What I What I got it. Got it. I got a fella here in the management area with a with a deer in the back seat. Says he don't speak any English, very little English. Okay. Yeah, the deer's in the back of the truck. So, what I'm going to do, I'm going to I'll I'll read it. I'll read it out loud. I'll put you on speaker and I'll read it out loud and I'll stop after each one, okay? Okay, give me 1 second. Hold on. You have the right to remain silent. With these rights in mind, do you wish to speak to me now? Ask him if he shot the deer in the backseat. Okay, ask him if he's in here by himself. Ask him. Okay. Albert said that he indeed shot the deer using a firearm. Furthermore, he was in the top of a tree when he shot it. Is this gun loaded? Is the gun loaded? It's loaded? Okay. Come out here and help me with this deer. Pull it out. Pull it out. What is the problem? It's not deer season. There's no deer season. Yeah. And this is a management area. No, but this is No. No. Go back in the truck. After confiscating the firearms and telling the man to take the deer out of his truck, the officer inspected the rest of the items in the back of the truck. He found several knives, bags full of tools, and he also found a pistol. Step outside the truck for me. Put your hands over here. No weapons, no knives? No. Okay. Let me see. See. Go like this. Let me see. See. Okay, I'm placing you under arrest for killing a deer out of season. Let me see. See. What is it? Your phone? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We'll get it. Okay. Go like this. Just like this. Okay. Yeah. Do that. Okay. It's not going to be comfortable, okay? Turn that way. Look that way. Back. Back. Back. Back. Back. Back. Sit down. They placed the man in the back of a squad car, but it was unclear if he really understood what his charges were. Shortly after, a tow truck arrived and the officer finished taking inventory of the truck's items. He ensured the guns weren't loaded and dragged the deer out of the way of the road. The officer then talked to the tow truck driver. That should be it. You want to keep keys I bet their expression whenever they see you old Yeah. He had this one buried underneath like how I had to walk around the other side. Had he hid his guns good enough, he changed clothes. Don't want to call him he was but he had it buried so good I couldn't see nothing from this side. I went around just cuz I had seen the guns I went around to the other side I could just barely see a leg. So I got all this itemized in here. You want to keep keys or you want to give him the keys? No, I'll keep keys that way I secure them. Uh where did I 8488 1065 Make, model, serial number on two firearms. First one's going to be a model 12 Savage. Second's going to be a Remington 870 12-gauge. They arrested Albert and they charged the man with hunting in a wildlife management area, hunting without the required orange clothing, and possession of a deer out of season. He was ultimately ordered to complete a pre-trial diversion program, which he successfully did. On the 8th of January, 2024 in Florida, fish and wildlife officers were on routine patrol when they noticed two individuals on a boat. Ordinarily, they would have looked past them with no issue, but the problem here was they were in a restricted area harvesting oysters, which was clearly illegal. Stay on the boat. Return the boat off. Cut the boat. What's our 20? Just north of Deer Island. What's that? What's our 20? Uh we're just inside Deer Island. How we doing, fellas? Yeah, we're All good. Yeah. All right, fellas, where did we launch from today? All right. So, you didn't know this was here, right? All right. We ain't supposed to be where we are supposed to be. All right. So, here's the deal. Um we're going to pack up. We're going to head back head back out towards that direction and we're going to head back up towards Morning, all right? Where Joe Where Joe launched from is Morning. At Gateway. All [snorts] right. When the officers asked them for registration, they handed it over. The man in the black cap, however, Joseph, said he didn't have any ID on him. While the cops dealt with the other man, Jeremiah, and checked out his registration and ID, he made a really snarky comment, which was not going to help he and his buddy get out of trouble. All right fellas, so here's what's going to happen. We're going to ease out of this creek right here and we are not going over idle speed. We're just We're idling idling out, all right? Okay. All right, so so here's the deal. Y'all go ahead and Y'all go ahead and pitch that pitch that calling board full of stuff right here, all right? Yes, sir. You are going to jail today. That's a question that ain't up to me. So. >> [snorts] >> How many days have been doing this in this creek? All right, no no weapons, no nothing like that on the boat? All right. I understand. >> Man, all of it? Yeah. All right. After the suspects dumped all the oysters back in the water, the officers instructed the men to head north back the way they came from. In doing so, both the vehicle they drove and the boat would be towed and the men would be arrested. Have them go to Gateway. Okay, they're already on the way? Yeah. >> Yes, sir. Yes, you are. He asked if we were going to jail. I said, "Yes, we are going to jail today." So, let's head up there. Yes, sir. How does that work? All right, fellas. We had You step out front for me for a second. Take your hands out of your pockets. All right, anything on you? Nothing that's going to poke me, stab me, stick me, nothing like that? All right, here's Here's the deal. Slowly take your jacket off. I I just All All I want to do is I just I Listen. Hey. Hey, I get it. I get it. I'm not saying you're a bad guy. It's just protocol. It's all I got to do. What you want me to do with it? Just set it down there. Listen, I'm going to let you put it back on. That's fine. I'm going to let you put your jacket back on. I just want you to take these off or where I can just get to your pocket knife is all. Just Yeah. Hands back up. What's in there? I don't know. Probably something. Money, receipts, something. Band-Aid. Ain't nothing illegal or nothing The officer finished searching Jeremiah and then moved on to search Joseph. The cops were trying to be civil and tried to be as polite as they could with the suspects. The cops understood the anger the men felt and were trying to treat them and their property with some dignity and respect. >> Is there a specific place you put these on the boat? I just rolled them up and put them under the on the console. All right, that's what I'm going to do. I'm just going to put them under there, all right? Do you want this to stay with your boat or do you want to take it with you and have it as property in jail? Yes, sir. Okay. Hands back. Yeah. All right, step over here for me. Up. Protocol, I know it's silly, but you got to wear it. All right, you're going to take a seat on the side of your boat. Swing your legs over. And take a seat right there on the front. All right, sir, stand up for me. You don't owe me a cigarette? I don't know. Yeah, I wanted it. I hope I can get Well, no, just go and throw it in the bottom of the boat or something. Despite the fact that the cops were being polite, as far as these poachers went, they still had an attitude. Jeremiah was complaining that since the cops had to take his jacket off, that it was way too cold. When it was time to put Joseph in handcuffs, he had a problem, too. You going to let me smoke a cigarette first? No, sir. You had that opportunity on the way out here. I was talking to you. [snorts] I need to warn him. Huh? Is that uncomfortable or you want another set? >> Oh, it's very comfortable. Well, Yes, sir. >> [snorts] >> Turn around. Back the other way. Hey, I understand and I appreciate it. Because everybody who harvests oysters in a prohibited area like that goes to jail. There's no questions about it. Swing your Swing your legs over. Take a seat right there on the front next to him. Ready? All right. The officers then took the handcuffs off Jeremiah so he could call his wife up and let her know they were towing his boat and that he was headed to jail. Even before they got to shore, the man's wife was there waiting at the edge of the water ready to take the boat. One of the officers approached the woman and was asking for information from her so they could ultimately leave the boat with her. You're taking possession of his boat, right? Can I get your driver's license so I can let dispatch know who I'm I'm leaving the boat to? I just want to make sure everything's documented so he's got everything he needs. Let you put that on, sir, if you need to. Thank you. All right. >> [snorts] >> So, you got Yeah. All right, you good? Anything else with him or No, he's super cool though, very cooperative, definitely. >> They charged both men with fish and wildlife rule violations, and in this case, the violations were level two. Jeremiah pled no contest and was found guilty. He got six months probation and had to pay a fine of over $400. Joseph bonded out and he failed to appear in court. He was later taken back into custody after a warrant was issued for his arrest. He bonded out again, then failed to appear again, and the cycle continued till he eventually pled no contest and was found guilty. He was sentenced to six months probation and had to pay a $520 fine. On October 20th, 2024 in Florida, an officer got a report about two individuals trespassing. The owners of the property advised the officers that the suspects appeared to have a firearm. When the officer arrived on scene, the suspects led him on a serious foot chase. HEY! STOP! HEY! STOP! HEY! ROLL OVER! STOP! ON YOUR STOMACH! MARK, GET DOWN HERE! STOP! ON YOUR STOMACH! MARK! MARK! MARK, STOP! DAMN! ON YOUR STOMACH! All right, he's on 10-26, 10-7. 10-12, two Hispanic subjects. Roll over on your stomach! Okay. ON YOUR STOMACH! YOU GOT TO STICK OUT YOUR ROLL ROLL OVER! NOW! On your stomach! ON YOUR STOMACH! ROLL OVER! Roll over! Roll over on your stomach! Right now, both of you are under arrest for trespass. Roll over on your stomach! The officer here, who is from Fish and Wildlife, took a second to catch his breath after he tased them as they were unlikely to keep running. He gave an update to dispatch and informed the suspects they were under arrest. Next up, it was time to get the handcuffs out. >> Manos! Manos! Bro, we didn't know, man. Watch out, watch out, that's my cousin. Both of them are handcuffed, bro. Can you please be careful? I got a surgery in both of my hands. See right here? Don't worry about it. Just calm down, okay? Hey, cool. Hey, cool. We're going I'll let you get it figured out. Manos! Manos! Hang on. Hold on. Now. Bring that other arm around. Bring your other arm around. >> [snorts] >> We didn't know this was trespassing, bro. >> Yeah, the fences, the signs, the gates don't tell you it's trespassing? We got in through the other side. It was open. Don't worry, I'll actually figure all that out. All right. If this was trespassing, we wouldn't have came and tased you. Why'd you run? Huh? Why'd you run? >> We got scared. We saw someone with a gun, we ran. I I didn't even see you. I just [snorts] heard a voice say and saw him run. Either one of you got IDs on you? No. I left them in the water park. The suspects complained their handcuffs were too tight and said they shouldn't be in handcuffs, saying they had some kind of obscure medical issue. The cop, however, wasn't buying it. The suspects didn't seem to understand why they'd been arrested, so the officer explained to them multiple times that trespassing is indeed a crime. I'm going to mail Ain't nothing I can do about that right now, bro. Can you put it like 8426 Echo 20. On your stomach. Can I breathe? On your stomach. I don't give a On your stomach. Get on your stomach. On your stomach. >> But you're treating us like we're criminals, bro. We're not. Cuz you are criminals. Why we're criminals? We were just having fun, man. 8426 Echo 20. I got two subjects 10-15. That's not even a gun. I need another uniform. Two Hacienda Heights Police Department. You got anything else on you? No, bro. We don't have anything. No knives? Oh, yeah. Right here. Right here. Where are your knives? Where? Right here. No, all the way. Right here. All in your right pocket? No, not in my pocket. Right here. Where are you right here at? Right here. Look right there. There's a little knife. Cross feet. Help you stand up. I'll be anyone. I'll be anyone. Come down your knees. We were just having fun, man. To your knees. These for me. Hold on for a second. I got these perps out of here. How did you get that? What is that on my hand? My pocket. It's a taser. Did he tase you? Did he tase you? Tase you? Yeah. Where's Where's my phone? Did you get my phone? I got your phone in my pocket. As the officer took out the taser probes, the suspects here repeatedly claimed their innocence. They were clearly in the wrong, but they had one excuse after another. The officer then put his foot down, telling them trespassing is illegal, no matter how you got on the property. 8426 Echo 20. You can cancel 10-33. I got both subjects 10-15. Give her gun back. Eastbound to Hacienda Heights Police Department. Shut up. Walk. I can't walk. talking to me. Stop. Those are the only charges we're getting again? Trespassing? Walk. No, you can't. Walk. Done talking to you. I've explained it. I'm not explaining it again. You're trespass- You're trespassing. No, no, no, no, no, no. You are trespassing. Want to handle the particulars about it, you do it in court. Not doing it here. Don't run from someone when you think you're somewhere you're supposed to shut up. Just walk. I know. I know. That's why I'm not talking to you. Just walk. Just a point. This is messing That's our girlfriend. Look. Okay. Will you stop talking to me? You're not help- You're not helping any- We're going to have a conversation when I get you two sat down. If you have any questions at that point, we'll have a conversation. They escorted the suspects out of the woods, and that's when they encountered the landowner. The suspects asked if they could pay their way out of this thing, but everyone agreed that they were way past that point. Next up, the officer read them in their Miranda rights, and then the man in the camo jacket, Yasmani, made a very strange request. >> With these rights in mind, do you wish to speak to me now? You already said not to talk to you, so what is going on? Now, what you do have to do is you have to identify yourselves. You don't have driver's licenses, that's fine. Right now, I need you to tell me who you are. Yes, sir. The phones, can you not give it to our group? We'll worry about that once we got you in the truck. Okay? Yeah, don't don't give them our phones. Don't give them your phone? Sit down for me. I swear to God we didn't even hear anything. Again, we can handle all of that later. Right now, those are the two charges that you're facing. >> man. The problem is that we we Right now, that's the two charges you're facing, okay? If you want to talk about how you got in here, I'm happy to listen. All I know is I could see both of you. Him holding the rifle, both of you got a hog leg, you're on the right, he's on the left. Yeah. All I seen that I saw was a guy with a gun pointing at our ranch. I didn't even notice how you did it. You see how quick I turned around and I left? Cuz we I didn't hear anything. I When I ran I So, why why run? If you're somewhere you think you can be, why why don't you run? We didn't know there was a trespasser. We didn't know there was someone in your backyard. That's what I'm saying. So, what you're telling me right now is that you came in here under the premise that you could be here, correct? So, why would you run when you run into somebody else? The suspects here really had some audacity. They sat there arguing with the officer, and at the very same time, they were asking the man to do them a favor, and what it amounted to was covering up something sketchy. Soon after, the suspects' girlfriends arrived, and one of them was 9 months pregnant and had the suspect's ID. So, I need their identifications. Can I ask you something? Yes, ma'am. Why are they being arrested for? They're being arrested for trespass and resisting without violence. Resisting and resisting? Resisting. Because they ran. That's what I When I approached them and announced myself, they ran. But that's like a normal thing, right? >> That's intense, yes. So, it's not These are not serious charges. I'll say serious. I'm not an attorney, but this is pretty standard stuff that we charge people with. But like, I don't see no trespass sign or anything here. The fence We're new in the The fence is the boundary. Anything that's fenced and used as agricultural property is automatically posted. And then, he has posted signs. He's got it posted to statute all the way around the property. So, this is someone's property? Yes. So, he's trespassing? Yes. So, I need their identifications, if you have their IDs. I have a picture. That's fine. I have a picture right Where are you guys taking me? They're going to go to Hendry County Jail. ESTUPIDO! ESTUPIDO! Yazmani was charged with resisting without violence and felony trespassing while armed. He was sentenced to a year and a half probation and also had to pay a fine totaling $1,665. The other suspect, Ivan, was charged with resisting without violence and trespassing. He was sentenced to 9 months probation and he also had to pay a fine totaling $1,515. Some of these poachers are just plain stupid. Hunting out of season, capturing undersized and illegal sea creatures, and taking more ducks than are allowed are just a few examples. When the cops catch up to them, these illegal poachers like to play dumb and innocent, but no-nonsense wildlife officers put them quickly in their place. Okay. And then, when I shot
