resembled the description of a shoplifting suspect reportedly she'd been involved in a theft at the local Safeway grocery store hi there officer German Lacy police dep you're being audio video recorded you exactly match a female who was described involved in a theft at safe I didn't steal from them I don't know why they think I did but I didn't steal from them so where's the guy you were with we got in a fight because of them and he left so I'm waiting for my sister so supposedly he has a shopping cart full stuff does he live at College Glen no we don't live here where would he be I literally work here where do you work huh I work for insta car I was literally doing my insta car and I picked up a few things for myself okay so who is he my husband or my fiance okay and so would he have stolen from Safeway a bunch of no we literally did you pay for my did you pay for everything yes rece I don't have any of my stuff on me you have a phone yeah I don't have any you the instart have the record of that the purchase and everything the stuff you're purchasing for your business do you have ID no I don't have any my her story started to fall apart right away so the cop's suspicion was growing her nervous demeanor and the inconsistencies in her story raised red flags leading the officer to believe that she's indeed the shoplifter who stole from the Safeway after we shop the receipts disappear we can't pull it back up that's weird why would the receipts disappear after you shop I don't know for my uh door Dash and my other stuff hey car they're going to be sending me a picture of the person that theying the sh yeah they're no they're accusing me of shoplifting but I wasn't shoplifting you paid for the stuff yes I paid for my stuff I always I literally come in here multiple times a day why would I shoplift I lit to work out of here at the same time why would they claim you and another male or shop I don't know because I had a full card of stuff when I went to the bathroom and then I went and got went in the the uh Checkers be able to say like oh yeah she just came use bags either why would you no I don't use bags why would you use bags I never do use bags because cost money you see like nothing it costs like cents cents on the dollar when you don't have a lot of money you don't keep yeah but you get understand how her inability to produce a receipt raises further suspicion her claim that the receipts disappear off the instacart app seems implausible and also her claim of not wanting to pay for bags to save money seems like a convenient justif for going through the checkout without begging anything before I went to the bathroom or before I went to the bathroom and then I went and got my Starbucks after I lose the bathroom saying they had I literally yeah they watched me walked from where I paid walked to the bathroom and then got my Starbucks I literally they weren't ever telling like hey stop no they didn't tell me to stop cuz I saw people coming out of the store and trying to call followed me out of the store after I left why would they do that if you I don't know they literally talked to me when I left and said that you didn't pay for your stuff I'm like I did so why wouldn't you stay and sort that out I did stay I was literally on the sidewalks and I kept calling my husband looking for him but they literally called us saying that you walked off with product no he I talked to the guy in the blue shirt he talked to me I said I didn't steal anything and he said okay and he walked back inside and then walked I guess they walked back out with other people the cops don't understand why she would have left the scene before resolving the shoplifting accusation so they allow the woman to explain her version of events however this dumb thief's evasive behavior and her verbal stumbles suggest some lame attempt to fabricate a credible Story how did you pay for the product like did you go through the the stuff that you buy did you go through the check and you go a quick check like what' you do Isle two you went through AIS two yeah okay so if we got a hold of and checked with that cashier she'd be like oh yeah she went through and she purchased everything I don't know it might not be the same cashier you just it just what are the chances in 10 minutes it's a different cashier yeah it probably is the same have anything on it I do have the receipt it was in my wallet like you can literally see it well then where is he at why would he run off sorry he didn't run off then where is he we got in a fight about what about them saying that we were stealing why would you guys get to fight about them saying you're stealing and then why would he leave because that's embarrassing it's really embarrassing to the point that he would just leave you yeah it's not the first time her story didn't match up with that of Safeways and there's still the issue of the missing fiance and why exactly he fled the scene her explanations of an argument over the shoplifting accusation doesn't seem to add up with her claim that they weren't guilty it's more plausible that the fiance left her because he was sure she committed theft all right I tell you what I'll give you a chance to talk even more if you'd like you have the right to remain silent anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of husband unable to verify her story despite multiple attempts to do so the officers feel like they've heard enough but still they gave her one more chance to make it make sense that being said they probably didn't see the next plot twist coming so the the staff were like hey you guys are stealing what happened he just left I said what did you say to the staff huh what did you say to the staff the staff L he came up to me he's like why did you steal the stuff that's all they said to me and then he went back inside Daniel did no the you said the staff yeah staff yeah the staff went back inside I was waiting for him outside but we got in a fight before the other guy came out so he probably just left me and I couldn't play the car wait you said that you got in a fight because they accuse you of stealing yeah but you said they accuse you stealing when you're outside no yeah no cuz they were watching us we literally said they were watching us why would they be watching you if of charges for his Reckless attempt to flee from police he was booked on aggravated flight from an officer illegal possession possession of a stolen firearm possession of a firearm by a convicted felon battery on a police officer simple criminal damage to property hit and run and attempting to disarm a peace officer on the 8th of February 2022 deputies in foresight County were dispatched to Don Jackson North dealership incoming Georgia a man there had been posing as a potential buyer and then stole the keys to a Dodge Charger and flat in the vehicle here they are here they're in they're they ask when they came in well he asked me if he could look at that Daytona Charger down there so we went 71 I'm going south from Crossroads onid we've been out there for 20 minutes walking around with a black hood driven by the suspect's accomplice after cops on the scene relay things today dispatch the other officers cross paths with a red vehicle that fit the description and in very short
