2023 Florida officers were called to a liquor store frequented by a 19-year-old shoplifter upon arrival they find her sitting in her vehicle I'm deputy sheriff johns with the mark County Sheriff all right okay the teen suspect later identified as NAA seems to be confused she seems nervous from the start but the reason remains unknown we res a thefts at to wine all right the details might not is 750 m oh hey there's another one oh she has two oh bet I'm going to take a picture of jogging with behind having found so many bottles the officers have all they need to take NAA to jail but was the alcohol worth the the risk NAA knows how much the bottles cost and readily shares the info great be able to call my road uh when you get to the jail um I'll let you get a phone number out of your no I already know her name okay so you can call her when you get to jail her vehicle is being told um so you didn't give us permission to search the vehicle but since we have to search the vehicle to County Florida were called to a Best Buy just as a shoplifting couple attempted a daring Escape thankfully they were stopped by nearby deputies turn the vehicle off vehicle this that direction put changing their St even after being confronted with the fact that they were caught on camera the male suspect's so confident that he allows an officer to inspect his car and the officer does find merchandise so they bring out an employee to see if he can identify the shoplifting culprit you're saying that 100% that's her okay he says 100% the female that's her that's the truck and that's the truck but they cannot identify the male party that was driving the truck am I going to jail okay yes how what it cuz you're positively identified as a shop lter at Best Buy I know right crazy you have you called me about shoplifting and then the way you left the parking lots all on video okay so the way that you left the parklot is enough for me to articulate that you knew what she was doing therefore it's shoplift and concert so you can both get a fell CH no I was not even there I didn't even back up and drive nothing none of that stuff El was driving your vehicle who else has been in possession of your vehicle today I was driving okay all day you've been driving okay all day with a positive identification and the clothing found the cops are ready to book the suspects but the female suspect asked for a chance to speak with an officer about something interet you wanted to talk yeah okay so what what happened I was first of all I just found out that somebody died that was really close and I was on the on the phone with my parents talking to him and I was just on the phone I went to go walk out the store and they like literally came and like ran up on me didn't even think about it I'm just walking and as soon as they're like where is should re SE and went to go grab everything and it creeps me to like the hell out like really freaked me out so I just like I ran I but she never steps away from it in May 2024 officers in Flagler County Florida caught a female shoplifter who'd stolen an item from Target then proceeded to hide it in the bathroom when confronted I then you going into the bathroom I had to go poop I had to take a literally I mean as you can see I didn't the fact of you concealing it in your bag is a crime in itself so you're going to go to jail when they caught the female suspect and now she has to explain why she'd hidden it so you would have poop in the bathroom you had all intentions to pay for this you put in the trash can where was it at it was in the uh toilet like the tampon trash can oh really so you had intentions to pay for this but you're going to go into the bathroom after you conceal it and then you're going to throw it in a tampon trash can I didn't because you had to poop no I had to go poop I didn't go into the bathroom to steal anything the mere fact of you doing what you did is you stealing it I didn't well I I shoplifting the woman was booked and released due to her medical condition and cooperation while Brandon spent the night in jail in January 2023 officers responded to an incident of retail theft at a local convenience store they find the suspect hiding in McDonald's only 20 minutes after committing another theft how's it going were you just sitting at Speedway what were you just in Speedway no okay you want to lie to me you go to jail for shoplifting you want tell me shoplift nothing okay so you don't have t pm on you what are you talking about you shoplifted overed somebody make a report about me yeah why do you think I'm here I just picked you out of the blue you just walked up here okay what are you doing give me my stuff what are you doing what are you doing put your hands behind your back put your hand behind your back I'll do it again I do it don't put it in the pocket put it put it in Pocket not police h y not police yeah we police my B put that all right doesn't even have to be like this that's the suspects caused chaos from the very start and it won't be a good look for him in court the police officer searches Pockets attempting to find the stolen merchandise back in my pocket why y so worried about me people downwhere shotting Atway shut up you know all these stores is mine my name is Carlos Jones okay don't worry about ID why are you taking all my Stu on my cuz I can no you can't yes I can you're under AR you're not even the police walk around with the bedro uh negative you're under arrest no I'm not shop you just took that out and put it back resisting I'm not resisting nothing you were you goofy got no right to put me under arrest okay well you take medication for any mental issues do you no you kcki no I don't the cops have now found what they're looking for and this suspect hasn't stopped insulting them from the moment they approached him the man continues to be difficult with the officers as he's LED towards the cop car rock your head watch stand up stand up you going to slip on the ice again I'm trying to stand up sit like sit up sit back you got on this the other something don't worry about the seat belt got to put through the seat belt Safety First dude sit back there's not much more to this this case seeing as Justice was swiftly served the suspect was charged with retail theft assault and resisting arrest and all of this happened over $5 worth of stolen items [Music] when shoplifters get confronted excuses running and resisting arrest are sadly the norm but this next case is a bit special in July 2022 officers in Athens Georgia responded to reports of shoplifting in the Burlington store and the Kroger Supermarket this suspect has a unique idea on how to avoid arrest you you're under arrest now obstructed get your hand I had seizures I had I had seizures well no I didn't do nothing I didn't do nothing run oh please no no oh I just had give me your hand oh I'm please stop please stop this dude right here is trying to keep me from videoing this you got your hand I out the way I didn't do nothing well you shouldn't have name can you stop causing issues what I steal what I steal sit up on your side I can't please me we're 26 I'm 104 we're in front of c i not steal anything from your sto come on roll over and stand up let me up all right come on I can my store why'd you run for me because I know that was pointless I know you didn't do nothing why you running I a know what was going on for real I just sit right there what's your name look that wasn't worth that I did not steal anything I'm this with st but now you got us all scuffed up that's right a seizure was her way out of the scuffle of course it didn't exactly turn out how she'd planned a police officer searches her bag for the stolen items and he finds something very interesting well there's a cut straw on there like come on it's crushed up at the end you've been snorting with that I no I thought it on the ground I come on I did you pay for the stuff from Kroger well this stuff where' it come from all right this came from Kroger a representative from Kroger arrives to identify the stolen items you from Kroger right yes sir Hi how are you today how are you I'm not done talking hey I'm not done okay you tell me what's y''s cuz these are obviously yours I'm sure this came from there all right I'm going to continue reading and ask you two questions the I'm to just let me know if here yeah I guarantee all this yeah you just let me know if she actually went and paid cuz it don't look like she did cuz she just shoplifted from Burlington I didn't sh from Burlington while the officers and the kruer representative were identifying the stolen items another officer went inside to check out the security footage showing our suspect in action and then she had dropped a sensor on the floor and she's loading stuff into her bag right there [Music] if you got any camera angles where you can see your face I can get it from outside too no that's all right we already have her in custody they just got her the suspect was caught red-handed both live and in video but then it seems she might have had a bright idea while the officers were reading her Miranda rights it's hard to tell if the seizure was real or perhaps she thought she could put up a better and more dramatic performance this time do you understand thems 18 she's going into a seizure okay you got to get up you got to get up you got to stand up sit on your side goodness you got to sit on your side start fire as well just in this yeah bam yeah sit on your side for me stay right here keep breathing for me oh the officers of course call in paramedics an emergency medical technician does a short checkup and tries to talk to the suspect but it seems she might have fallen unconscious in the middle of it hey wake up I hear him man here I'll take over hey wake up yeah Master hey hey wake up I know you're listening to me I can see your eyes moving when I talk to you come on you're all right yo hey you go hey those please all right arrives on the scene and they're ready of course to take care of the suspect however one of the technicians has a surprise Revelation for the police officers we just brought her to the hospital for this earlier did you okay same situation okay same situation like she being arrested shop lifting over at CVS okay got okay gotcha it's good to know yeah I'm going call Mar right now did she just get out of there then yeah okay soy said she refused everything over there um she went over there slept for 3 hours we get said not good walk out okay W her to go again cuz she's not having SE no she's definitely faking yes since all of this was just an encore performance that nobody asked for the officers are sure now that she's faking everything in the meantime the officer inside the shop coordinates with the workers and the other officers to detail the stolen merchandise she have the merchandise with her when he got her uh yeah she's got quite a bit I'm not sure watches from where she's definitely got some stuff from Kroger and probably Burlington as well it's clothed with tags on it all in her bag 10 for I'm going to be in R you to get that stand for thank you sir if you mind just pulling out the photos of her um while she's at the rack just so we can get some some photos so she ditched the cart yeah she ditched the cart and that's when I looked over and behind the cart you could see the sensor on the floor okay so she pulls in and then her yellow shirt magically disappears and then uh you have the footage of her leaving yeah what's wrong with the shirt tell her I can do 10% back it just up just a little bit there Spong she's right in front of the door like right there there the suspect was taken to the hospital medically cleared and then taken to jail she was booked for shoplifting times 2 obstruction of law enforcement and giving a false name to law enforcement hopefully she doesn't believe in the saying that the third time's a charm in January 2023 Florida officers pulled over a woman who'd been suspected of stealing Legos from Target she fled the scene in a red SUV with a broken right window hello how are you I sto to you because this vehicle uh was possibly involved in a shop lifing from Target so they provided the description very well of the vehicle and uh description of you know you so uh do you have your driver's license with you yeah I don't you know yeah so I mean you essentially know what I know right now I mean there's a deputy there that has confirmed it um and they're trying to get all the details hashed out but um they provided a very clear description of the vehicle which matches this description and almost an identical tag number so um you know just uh hang out okay you don't have any weapons in the vehicle or anything okay all right I'll be right back the description of the SUV is a dead giveaway and this woman is indeed the person they're looking for but the officers still have to conduct the investigation in the meantime she's acting completely clueless you don't know what happened what's yeah did you make any stops when you got off the highway um yeah where'd you stop Target you stopped the target oh nobody said you took anything oh so what' you get a Target nothing I didn't get you didn't buy anything no okay um she's got a bunch of Legos in the back of this truck so it's uh possible that uh we could have more than one choplifter uh incident from another location how come you sto that Target just just to shop because I like I buy and sell Legos so you buy and sell Legos so you were shopping but you didn't get anything I didn't end up getting you didn't get anything no okay so they didn't have what you were looking for yeah the officers are trying to confirm if there are any other reports of stolen Lego boxes in the area having found a few in the back of the suspect's vehicle an officer then notices that she might not be as clueless as she acts you nervous you see him like here shanking a little bit yeah well they got the property yeah out she I mean she passed all lines of sale outside they recovered it outside the store you know she's got a bunch of Lego boxes uh like Star Wars Legos and all that I mean I can see in the back possible that uh according to the store they're saying that um she's been hitting other stores in the state I'm going to grab some water okay okay any weapons in the car no did you just get that no no do what yeah it since yesterday now it's been confirmed the suspect has been hitting stores on the hunt for Lego sets the cops have step out of the car before explaining how things will proceed from then on we're going to do a show up and uh the deputy is going to bring by the witness that we have and they're going to say whether or not that what whatever they observed was uh you or not I didn't didn't take anything from there [Music] well I mean uh according to them pass all lines of sale got out of the store and they recovered the property outside the outside the uh doors that was not outside doors you can see okay sounds to me that you have kind of an issue with this stuff you know and maybe you should get some help you know CU this isn't the way to be I'm not been rough time right now honestly like I'm going through divor b abusive yeah and I'm sorry the carelessness of the suspect seems to be giving way to something else rather than act innocent she now claims to be the victim of abuse to earned sympathy from the officers stating it as the reason for her shoplifting so you're going through some tough times that's kind of why you're getting caught up in this stuff yeah yeah like financially difficult times yeah my husband not supporting me at all and be together so are you I mean are you having to are you having to shoplift to provide for your needs that kind of deal huh is it basically I don't want to say too much to I'm sorry can't I don't really want to say too much to oh okay I see what you're saying not having your needs taken care of or suffering abuse of any kind is no excuse to go around shoplifting Lego sets the cops proceed to search her car and what they found only made the woman look even sketchier I'm starting to dig up a few uh things these are some brand new shoes in a Target bag no tags um there's a lot of like Target BS are in this um compressed like State here's a Walmart roll here's a Target roll blank receipt paper like but on the back is the store paper wow what an interesting collection of items the suspect either has a Keen Eye for Oddities or she has a malicious plan in mind on how she'll use all the things she collected I guess explain to me like so I mean you had these items and um according you know it's it's your word versus theirs right because they're saying something explain to me what happened how how did it all go go down I was pushing a car out of the store and they said they stopped me and I just walked away where did they stop you in the in the vest room the door vest um you mean like the main doors to the store all right so so you didn't that you didn't uh you weren't like in the parking lot going to your but you were heading out and they stopped you before you could get out they stand what's that yeah the suspect's story has drastically changed from the beginning when she pretended to be clueless at this point the witness arrives for the show up and the woman stands next to the road so we can confirm or deny if she's the culprit yeah just he want SL right under so just take a look as we drive by and let me know mhm that's her okay stand up turn off face the car put your hands behind your back like you're clapping put your BBS together I have going to be toad back my vehicle the investigation later confirmed that the suspect had tried to steal $1,137 32 cents worth of Legos from Target she was charged with Grand Theft and taken to the county inmate facility the shoplifters shown in these cases all had one thing in common the inability to understand that their actions have consequences but on the bright side many of them learned that honesty is the best policy and maybe just maybe they'll think twice before shoplifting in the future
