the drive-thru would result in a hidden run with two other cars being damaged in the process police were called to the scene and even though aidian was long gone they could interview the Witnesses what's up boss you guys the drive yeah yeah I'm with what was the plate did you get a picture of it yeah cuz you try pulling off so I followed him just like to right here just so I can get it but she says she got it to the car that was directly in front of aidian got rear ended and then plowed into the car in front of it and although it looked like the CEO was going to pull over to exchange insurance information he ended up fleeing moments later here's what the driver had to say confirm one Lincoln Ida 487 black Ford Explorer XLT it's got Chrome accents on it you get a look at the op yeah it was it was a white male kind of old and um he look like white male the operator any other descrition I the driver was able to give a rough description of abidian he's probably in shock so we can't blame him for not taking in the finer details of the man's appearance the good news is that it won't be difficult to track him down in the meantime the cop goes to interview the two female occupants of the second car involved in the incident how you doing I'm good how um you guys you get a picture but I okay what' you get uh you did you see the operator I did I did I saw all right um able to narrow down a description of the offender to make matters even worse there was a baby in their car the fleeing CEO can count his lucky stars that he didn't injure the passengers or the baby with his Reckless actions were you guys in the Drive-Thru yeah yeah we were in the drive he just how did it happen he hit him and then well you didn't see it so basically the guy the the SUV was behind his car and behind you yeah he was behind us and then so while I was feting the baby I was watching the guy kind of like moved a little bit and then he so forced move like he he I don't know if he was trying to back out of the drive the drive through I don't know was trying to do but he did move a little bit and then I was like what's that guy doing damage on his car say that again I believe in I believe in the front but he got out like I said he looked very intoxicated and he's like well and then he's like let's pull up to the side we pulled up to the side and then get information the story of the victims is corroborated giving the cops the go ahead to put a search out for the black SUV with front end dce damage turns out Scott evidian who so carelessly fled from the scene of a crime was actually the former mayor of Warick making his offense all the more unexpected the guy got out of his car right yeah and he was in the drive he said what was he wearing um I really couldn't remember cuz I just looked at him and I was just like in the moment but I want to say he had like a not a hoodie but like a throwover type of sweater like I I want to say it was maroon or burgundy but I'm not that's fine uh soup tie he might have had a button up under and then that's all I any facial features facial hair beard goatee mustache glasses I think he was he he might have had a bald head and then he might have been shaved down but I can't really remember I'm not and what did he say to you he just he literally just said let's pull to the side so we can like get out the way and we're going to like basically I'm thinking that we're going to exchange information and then after that he just I hop the myv and I pull to the side and then I just see him just drive right by okay I'm happen he pulled off and I followed him so to the end right about here just like get a picture of his Le the cops were now just finalizing the details and Gathering as much evidence as they could other cops arrived at the scene too and they would soon pay aidian a visit to his home apart from being a bit shaken up and having some damage to their cars the two drivers were at least able to carry on with their day unharmed so the manager is not here she'll be here tomorrow morning but they think they have footage um I'll give you her her name and who I spoke to okay don't worry about it I'll cops aren't too worried at this stage since even though the man fled it would only be a matter of time before he was caught according to Witnesses the man looked clearly intoxicated which could officers arrived at the man's house his SUV's engine was still hot from running indicating that he'd arrived only moments prior unfortunately he'd be less than cooperative and he would leave the cops with no means of reaching him watch out at least the officers were able to confirm the front-end damage on his car proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's the guilty party at this point there's still no sign of evidian and the officers simply gather everything they need to file the charges how one goes from mayor to CEO to criminal is a mystery [Music] though despite multiple knocks and attempts to talk to the CEO he decided to lock himself in his house in hopes that the cops would leave they eventually did but that's not the end of the story though since he turned himself in a week later he was charged in the end and initially pleaded not guilty Scott aidian was charged with fleeing the scene of a crime next up we have bar owner Jonathan Blau who might take the cake as the most difficult person ever on March 12th 2023 officers spotted a full parking lot at luy's rotten apple bar it was 4:30 a.m. well beyond legal trading hours so the cops decided to investigate little did requirements under federal law one of those requirements is that if you appear at their headquarters vers 26 USC 614d they are required by law immediately to provide a copy of their tax returns so I came here as a member of the public to get a copy of their tax returns which federal law says I am entitled to and they're saying that I don't have that which is incorrect contact their their supervisors or anything yeah they won't let me talk did we try calling I called their CPAs this morning now we hear from the CEO's perspective it's within his rights to demand their tax returns however it doesn't mean they need to jump when he snaps his fingers apparently he'd only been trying to get the records in returns for the duration of the morning and we're pretty sure a bit more patience on his side would have prevented this entire situation from escalating I understand that it might be more polite in some sense but I do have the right to be here I do have the right to see their CT they are acquired under Federal audit provider I can again give you the law I can show you the text of the law if you like it says upon request of an individual made at such principal office or such a regional district office a copy of such annual return reports and exempt status application materials or such noce materials shall be provided to such individual without charge and other than a reasonable fee for any reproduction and mailing cost with EST described in sub paragraph B must be made in person or in writing if such request is made in person such copy shall be provided immediately and if made in writing she be provided 30 days there's no doubt that open AI is obligated under federal law to provide their tax returns however this man may be confusing his right to ask for information with his right to be on their private property an important detail to note is that this went down on the day before Thanksgiving so maybe it's not a surprise that they weren't able to
