Oh, so I had this interaction with this group of people, right? And not to be racist, but this a group I'm a black males. >> He said, "Hey, you know, do this for me or else we're going to have beef, you know, and he told you to take some phones and put them down at the end of the >> This is my life for Taco. I just got a scholarship of maximum. This is I can't I can't lying. I'm serious. >> I'm not doing nothing for you, SIR. THE first day on the job should be about learning the ropes and making a good impression. But some people skip all that and go straight to making the worst possible decisions. And it doesn't take long before everything falls apart when these dumb employees get arrested on the first day of the job. >> Here they don't want here cuz they're ghetto brings. >> Hey, stop. You need to calm down. >> Calm down. >> Customers everywhere calling due to their care. >> On the 7th of September 2023, police were dispatched to a McDonald's restaurant after reportedly a new employee there was refusing to leave after getting aggressive with her co-workers. >> Um, yes, the manager in here is acting up. >> He just ganged up on me and this man right here put his hands in my face, his fingers in my face. I want the camera back. I want him arrested. >> Okay. Can you go sit over there, please? Can you go sit over there, please? >> Yeah, I'm going to go. I just want I want the camera ran back. >> Go sit down, please. >> Okay. Thank you. From back there, cuz they won't let me get my stuff. >> Go sit down, please. >> He didn't let you. >> Come on. >> All right. I'm only going to say this one more time. Sit down. >> Okay. >> I'll talk to you. >> I'm going to talk to everybody, but I need everybody to sit down. >> There's only one of me. There's like 12 of you trying to talk right now. Right. It seemed like the place had no management structure at all. It seemed to be run by a bunch of bratty teenagers with zero adult supervision. After the new employee, Tiffany, finally took a seat, the officer spoke to the manager and the employee she allegedly attacked. >> These two things right here, like she was going to hit him. Only thing he did was, "You better bag up." He did not touch her >> or anything. >> Okay. Do you have cameras in here? >> Yes. But she has I've been trying to get her to work all day. I've been asking her nicely and everything. She has not wanted to do anything. And when I find when she I'm fed up with it, >> where's the male that that she >> out there talking to the other officer? Okay. >> Nobody's >> Okay. So, we've been telling her multiple times to clock out and go home. >> Okay. >> Multiple times. Now, she Now I'm on I'm on I called my supervisor to tell her to go home and she's still right here arguing, picking fights with everybody in here. What's she doing to pick fights? She just >> She She just walk around. >> She just carrying on. >> Yeah, she just walk around. She just walk around. Oh, I'm tired of Nobody has touched her. We just trying to Every if everybody else has to work, she has to work. Yes, I understand she's pregnant. >> Okay. >> I have a whole another employee that's going to have her baby in a few weeks, and she still works like she's not pregnant. I understand everybody is different, but nobody put their hands on her. While the other employees had their story straight, stating very clearly that Tiffany was the primary aggressor, when the officer spoke to her, she gave a very different version of events. It was starting to look like the officer here was going to have one of those days. >> He just put his hands and mugged me three times in my goddamn face. And I want him arrested. >> I want him charged and put his hands on me. >> Okay. Well, >> and they all ganging up calling the other corporate district manager telling them bull about me. That's because they don't want me to work here cuz they're ghetto ratchets. >> Hey, stop. You need to calm down. >> All I can ask her was to leave. That's all. >> And so that's when the >> Yeah. And she started talking about I'm nothing. I'm below her and she was going to have my job. And then my brother said, "Just leave. He's on the phone with our supervisor. I'm going to hit this all stuff like that." And I'm on the phone with the supervisor. The supervisor said, "Um, if y'all guys want to come up here tomorrow, y'all can pull the camera." I'm standing right here on the phone with the supervisor telling her to go home. She picked up three four items. Walked up to me and did just like this like she's going to hit me. >> Okay. >> And I'm I'm like, "Bro, you better stop." I'm like this pointing at her like, "You need to chill." Like, >> is that yelling in my face? >> Calm down. >> I'm not yelling. He put his hand up. >> Can you calm down for me? >> Cuz she's blocking on me. >> The officer asked the manager to take him in the back room. He wanted to review the surveillance footage, but the shift manager informed him that the door was locked and therefore they'd have to wait for the GM to arrive. >> Mad at me because uh I can't even remember whatever I said. She told me to go home and clock out because I said something. The manager, Javon, the one that bugged me in my face three times. His brother is Jamar. They're both cooked. He's out here. He comes to me and yells at me cuz I was stringing up my shoes. Whenever I got to work, I was putting my laces in my shoe. I was sitting right there. I had just sat down and put one one shoelaceer in my shoe. He comes out here and starts yelling at me. You need to do something. You ain't gonna sit out here not doing nothing. You need to do something. You need to do something. The the the cook, the manager. Then his brother rolls up a fat one and goes outside and smoking it. >> Nobody putting their hands on nobody on here. She the one became ba basically physical trying to be physical by picking up something acting like you going Trinity. >> She picked that up and was and like literally looked like she was going to hit me. And I'm like, "You need 10. You need to go home." I'm pointing at her like, "You need to go home." >> And she said, "Do not go home." >> Smoking cigarettes, smoking a blunt. So I went out there just juggling. I said, "If y'all are going to pick on me, then I'm going to talk y'all. If y'all going to sit out there and smoke weed and cigarettes and stuff, I'm going to write down the time and I'm going to tell the manager." Point blank period. If y'all going to pick at me, I'm going to pick back at y'all. So if y'all want to go out there and smoke weed, that's fine. I'm going to record it and I'm going to say something about it. So she comes in there and says, "Oh, that's not your business. That's not your business to be out there smoking weed. That's not your business. You can clock out and don't run. >> Okay. >> Tiffany told the officer that the only reason her co-workers didn't want her there was that she wasn't ghetto enough. But who wasn't wasn't ghetto wasn't the question here. The question was who had been responsible for causing the altercation. The officer here was about to find out as the GM showed up on scene and they started looking at surveillance footage. >> You do me a favor and hold this up for me. You see when she grabbed me. >> I did see that. But you can see she's being pushed back >> to leave. >> Okay. Did she touch him at all with the >> No, she didn't actually touch him, but she >> she just threatened it. >> She threatened him. That's why he put his finger in her face. >> Okay. >> But after that, nothing else happened from that angle. And I was just telling her to go back. Um, let's see. >> Well, let me let me see this for a second. Let me watch how long this happened. Okay. So, this is just talking, waiting on us to get here. Okay. And do they have any relationship with each other? >> No, not at all. >> It's just you and your brother up here. >> Um, yeah. >> Okay. And do you guys want her barred? >> Yeah, she needs to be barred. And you see right here, I'm calm and talking to her calmly. And >> you want to go for two years? >> It definitely can. I'm >> We can only go for two years. All around, it was a ridiculous situation and it was made worse by the fact that it was her very first day on the job. Most people do their best to keep their heads down and work hard to make friends instead of making enemies. But as far as Tiffany went, that wasn't the case. >> Jesus Christ. So, she's she's going to go to jail for sure. >> What they wrong for? >> Cuz she just This is her first day and she's going to go to jail. >> She's going to jail. >> Oh, yeah. >> What happened? >> She was charging at all them trying to throw ketchup at them. It's her first day. They were telling her she needed to go home and she didn't want to. So, she started charging at them and he was her she's saying he put his finger in my face cuz she's charging at him and he's like basically back is what he said his words were. If he wants to press charges, she's going to go to jail on her first day of work. All right. So, I did watch the video footage. Um, from what I can see, she does pick up the couple trays and then come at you like this. Um, that is enough at that point for simple assault if you would like to press charges. Yeah, >> you do. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And you guys also want her barred for two years, correct? >> All she had to do was All she had to do was just leave. >> That's right. I did watch all of that. Yeah. >> We've been telling all just leave. Just leave. She just wasted all time for nothing. All she had to do. >> I did see everybody talking to her and asking her to leave. So, you are right. >> Tiffany continued to claim that the other employees put their hands on her and she even went so far as letting the officer know that she wanted to press charges. But sadly for Tiffany, surveillance footage just doesn't lie. >> Miss Tiffany. All right, she's got to say something to you. Okay, I want you to listen. >> You're barred from here for two years. You're not allowed to stuff. Please get out my face. I don't want to hear nothing you got to say. I'm I don't want to hear nothing. Please get away from me. Get away from me. >> Get away from me with your ghetto. >> Tiffany, >> sorry. No good. Nothing. >> Tiffany, do you understand? >> Put your bar. >> That's okay. >> All right. >> All right. Stand up, Tiffany. >> For what? >> Put your hands behind your back. For what? >> Stand up. >> What did you put my hands behind my back? >> Stand up. Going to jail. Okay. >> For what? >> What am I going to jail for? >> Simple assault. >> Oh, cuz you grabbed those menus and tried to hit him with them. >> No, I didn't. Y'all, I did not try to hit him. Y'all really going to sit here and take me to jail in front of the people? Y'all are really going to humiliate me like that. >> We're 1095. >> Seriously, guys, y'all are seriously going to take me to jail out of there. I did not come. He was me. >> Come on. >> Cuz the way you slung me up and just handcuffed me was totally >> You weren't listening to me. Get in the car. >> I didn't even hear what you were saying. >> I told you to stand up. Get in the car. >> Why are you taking me to jail? >> Sit in the car. >> Tiffany, in the car. >> Do you have to take me to jail? >> Yeah. >> Why are you charging me? >> Because I saw video. >> So he You're not going to charge him for >> Sit down, please. I'm not going to tell you again. >> No, because I'm not Why he hit me. He put his >> Tiffany, put your legs in the car. >> It was a pathetic display of selfish entitlement. As far as Tiffany goes, if she ever wants to hold a job down, she really needs to learn how to get along with other people. On December 5th, 2025, the cops were dispatched to a Burlington code factory after reportedly one of the employees was captured on camera committing fraud. The transactions were in cash and the approximate loss was about $3,000. >> Mr. D. Yes, sir. It's a pleasure to meet you. >> So, so I give you a rundown. Yeah, we had an employee, young kid, been having some cash. >> Okay. The past week or so with looked at videos and transactional um he would take from always $100 bills. He was getting from 100 to 700 in a day and he did it for the past five six days approximately $3,000. >> Oh wow. >> So sitting down and interviewing and he admitted it and doing it trying to pay his for his car trying to pay his tuition all these things. >> Yeah. >> Um so you have to go to state and all that stuff. >> So the company since it's not dollar amount the company did want to press charge it. >> Sure. Okay. >> So he's in the back waiting. He doesn't know. He doesn't know you're coming, but I'll probably break way down because he asked me a day and he goes, "Well, first he asked me is he going to lose his job." >> Yeah. >> And I'm like, you know, that's my decision. >> The suspect was oblivious to the amount of trouble he was in. The fact that he stole $3,000, but he thought he could get away with it was just astounding. >> Next up, the officer made his way inside to confront the suspect. >> All right, we're still doing our investigation, but it's been brought to my attention that there's been reported theft, um, loss of cash within the cash registers. would you mind sharing your side of what's going on with that? >> So, basically um like probably like a few months or a couple weeks I found out I got the job but at around the time I got the job I just broke my back at a football practice and I've been going to a doctor and a bunch of chiropractors. Nothing's been helping. and I can go to the doctor. And a bunch of bills been piling up on my lawn. And I was like, "Okay, maybe if I snuck up a few bucks and I could pay off these chiropract basically." The suspect continued rambling off an extensive list of excuses trying to justify his behavior. The thing is though, everybody has financial hardships and his experiences weren't unique and they certainly weren't an excuse to steal thousands of dollars. When I was taking the money, it was when I was I wasn't getting paid yet. So, I needed the money like now to pay off these stuff and I was just like in my mind, I didn't think I was taking that much, but I end up dead. Do you recall exactly how much was taken over the course of your work here? >> $3,000. >> $3,000. >> And what were the methods that you used to actually obtain this? How did you do it exactly? >> All I do is just like when they'll hand me the cash, I'll just put it to the side of the register. >> Okay. >> So, just to clarify that, so a customer comes up to pay for merchandise, if they pay for cash, some of that you would just take to put the side. It would just be like 100 bills or like the 50 but everything else I reg so pretty much just the big bills essentially. >> Okay. Um is that something that you would do every working day or about how often would you say? I see like have I since I've been here cuz I haven't like been realizing that I'm taking so much [music] but like eventually I was going to stop when I was getting when I started getting paid. But >> the officer asked him if he had any stolen money left over, but he said he spent it all on bills and clothing. So much for the story about needing that money to pay for tuition. Next up, the manager supplied the officer with the evidence. here. And here are the transactions. So it says store cashier Rohan. >> And this is for each day. >> For each transaction for each. >> Yeah. And it has a date. It'll they'll be they'll probably mix it up. So it'll say register one. That's a transaction number. [clears throat] >> Mhm. >> Uh this is what the how much the customer paid. >> And the video corresponding video will show that you put the money to the side. Okay. One of these for each, you know, 1130 $100. I took that $100 bill there. So, it's got the, you know, what you said. It shows the register here, the date and time and all that stuff here. He's the cashier. >> Um, $200 paid. >> May I take a look at this real quick? So, so with this one here, um, so cash, so 200, that's how much the customer paid. >> Customer paid in cash and that was their change. >> Okay. And >> so, so for example, they would give you 200. >> Mhm. >> The drawer, the registers here, the drawer pops open. attach in all the hundreds are supposed to go under the till. >> Yes. >> So he he would raise the till but he would stick it to the side >> or there's a drawer right here or he would drop it. [music] So to anybody I'm looking it looks like he might be dropping it but the money went either in the drawer or to the side. >> Okay. >> Then he would finish give the drawer customer walk off and he would you know just do the palm thing here. The video footage along with the logs and the suspect's confession was everything the cop needed to make the arrest. The man plead with the officer to let him off the hook with a warning, but at that point it was out of the question. So unfortunately >> yes. >> So here let me explain to you the issue. Typically what we would do in something like this somebody we meet somebody that's gentleman like you that's been honest no issues at all. Um we would do it as a just a issue court date. Right. The problem is with that, this [music] surpassed the the dollar amount for that. Therefore, it's not an option. I still would if I could. So, what what we can do >> and and it's not even it's not even up to them anymore because once law enforcement's notified, >> I just got >> Are you understand what I'm saying? >> Please, you you got to see her reviewer. I can't see more. Please. I can't. Just kidding. >> The man was right. [music] His mother was going to be disappointed, but unfortunately, he had no one to blame but himself. He'd exceeded the threshold for grand theft, so he was facing a felony charge. >> I know it sucks sucks for right now, but pretty pretty much all the process is at this point is you come with us, we take you down there to get your fingerprints, and you'll be out in a couple hours. >> Right now, this is my life. [clears throat] for a taco. I just got a scholarship a maximum. >> I believe me like I told you. >> So this is above the threshold to where I can just give you a piece of paper and walk away. [snorts] >> Are you are you understanding what I'm trying to explain to you? Sir, this is I can't I can't go to jail. I can't >> listen to not go in the book. Sir, you can't. >> I don't. Sir, I went through too much at life. You don't understand. >> But what you're missing is it's not my choice. >> If it was up to me, I would give you a piece of paper and we leave it at that. But you got to understand. >> The man continued to plead with the officer, but like the officer told him just moments ago, things were out of his hands. He was going to jail right after he just got a full scholarship. And while that really was tragic, life has a way of teaching people the hard way. >> Please, anything you could do, I'll do anything. >> All right, let's go. Come on. >> Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. >> Come on, man. Don't catch. >> I got this. I got this. >> You going to put them on? >> Hold on. The option. Stop. >> Sir. Sir, we already turn around. >> We gave you the opportunity already. >> Wait, wait. No hand, please. Please. No hand. I I'll go. I'll go. >> Stop resisting. Stop resisting. >> No hands. >> We're done talking. >> Wait. Wait. Come on. I'm not. >> All right. We're giving you the option to walk. Go walk. >> You're not at least. >> Come on. I'm going to the front. >> Come on, dude. >> Hey, you're going to get a truck. >> Okay. Can I explain though? Can I explain? >> There's nothing to explain. Let's go. >> Listen to me. >> I will pick you up and I'll drag I'll drag you over there. Let's go. Let's stop it already. >> All right. Can I All right. Can you take off the necklace so I I don't walk out there with the neck, please? No. Stop right here. Just I just don't walk on. I don't want to walk out here. >> Let's go right now. Let's go. We gave you that choice. I mean, we're going to take you over. It's going to be more It's going to be walking. Let's go. It's going to be nice with you. >> Okay. Well, give me that option. We already s >> Do you want to get charged for sir? >> You're going to get charged for another charge. Want another charge? Sit down right there. >> Yeah, we'll call somebody. We'll call somebody. phone. I I have to like look uh get the number from my phone. >> All right, we'll get there. >> They charged the man with organized scheme to defraud and sadly for him, it appears that he won't be getting that scholarship after all. On the 4th of April 2023, the cops were dispatched to an Amazon fulfillment center after reportedly an employee was called fake scanning items, bypassing the system and stealing merchandise. When the officers got there, they were greeted by Anthony, an employee from loss prevention. >> Anthony, Chris, >> nice to meet you, Anthony. >> Colton, thanks. >> Appreciate you guys coming. So, I started this investigation on 2019. I haven't caught up to everything. We have video everything you said to me. >> Okay. >> Uh right now I can confirm 38,000. He's admitted to 65. He says 23,000 worth of stuff he's been doing over the last 10 days. >> Is it all like electronics or anything? So is it is it a lot of property or just expensive property? >> Phones. >> Okay. >> Apple watches. >> Gotcha. >> Uh a lot of them like he made 40 or whatever Pixels, but we're probably looking around the ballpark 100,000,000. Mhm. >> Um he doesn't want to admit to it. Some other concerns I had was I think he might be have a team. Um this is very odd for someone to come here 12 days and still have lunch. >> Yeah. >> He didn't want to talk about he just came from Chicago. He didn't want to talk about his past career >> at Walmart. >> He's given a story that someone's forcing him into doing all this, but he doesn't know. He knows description of he doesn't know the drop off location here. It went from never taking anything out of the building to Yeah, I was told to. So, I'll be I don't know. >> It looked like the suspect, George, was into some big time theft. Anthony told the cops that George admitted to stealing electronics worth a total of $65,000, but Anthony had a hunch that it might be closer to hundred grand. >> Cuz right now, we're kind of looking at a felony. So, more than likely, he's going to be coming with us. He's not going to be going to his house. >> It's We're going to contact our detectives and our C right now, kind of see the way they want us to go because we're looking at like a m a major theft here. So, have you been able to itemize anything? >> Yeah. 30,000. It's for sure 30. >> He's part of a ring. Does he Did anybody else get hired around the same time? Anything like that? >> No, it's just the story is very >> Yeah. >> Fictitious. >> Well, and I want to say it's this isn't my district, so I haven't really had I used to have thes down here and there was a ring kind of going around like last year around this time, I think. >> Well, I mean, there's some red flags like story's not adding up. Said he just moved from Chicago. Um, he says he has experience in loss prevention security, but he won't tell me. >> How long have you guys been interviewing him today? >> Uh, probably about >> After the cops finished talking to Anthony, they were taken to the loss prevention office to confront George. At that point, the officer's goal was to get George to admit that he'd stolen over the threshold for a felony. >> All right. You want to tell me what's going on, George? >> I mean, I believe there's outside like a while ago. So, I had this interaction. you know, with this group of people, right? And not to be racist, but this a group of black um males, >> okay? >> It was probably like like more than like five like like six of them like [music] >> six of them. >> And he was like, "Oh, you have to do this. If not, right, we don't want more beef, right? We just do this." >> Do you remember exactly what they might have said? >> That's what they said. >> When you say >> do this, >> do this, do that. What do you mean by that? Like what do you mean when you get the good stuff? But did when they said that, did you know what that meant? Or did you ask them what do you mean get the good stuff? >> I mean, yeah, of course I did ask them like 10, >> right? Of course. I'm not going to be like confusing like what's that, >> right? >> Mhm. >> The valuable stuff. That's what they said. >> The valuable stuff. >> It was hard to hear through his mask, but essentially George was saying that a group of black males was extorting him. He told the cops he'd been threatened with violence, and if he didn't steal the merchandise for them, he was going to get hurt. But after they told you get the stuff, what did they threaten you? Did they? >> Yes. >> What did they say? >> That was the first thing they said. >> What did they say when they threaten you? >> Like dude, I'm like I'm like why [music] would I? >> Okay. >> Right. If I'm working with what they saying, especially like at a work set. >> Yeah. >> Did they threaten you with bodily harm? Did they say do this or I'm going to hurt you? I mean, saying that means right away like like if you don't do it like like when I'm telling you, of course, I'm going to do something to you, right? Like we don't want no beef, right? >> Did they [music] ever specifically say, "Oh, this item, this item?" >> No. >> So, what did they say to you whenever? >> And they just said, "Grab any but >> so just grab any grab any good stuff." Okay. They never told you like say grab an iPad or [music] >> No. >> Okay. Okay. He told the cops that in total he'd stolen about 50 phones for the gang, both Samsung and Google. At that point, the cops wanted George to discuss the monetary value of the stolen merchandise. And in doing so, he'd be captured on body cam confessing to a felony. >> Do you know what the approximate cost of a Google phone, one of those Google phones is >> by itself? >> Okay. What how much do you know off hand? >> About more than 500 bucks. Plus taxes. >> I'm sorry. How much? More than 500 bucks. >> 500. >> Yeah. With price of the other one like six >> 500 to 600. Okay. What about the Samsung's? >> Um those will cost like 200 more than the than the >> So we're looking 700 to 900. >> Yes. >> What other stuff besides phones? >> Um I just remember about those. >> So it was just phones, nothing else. >> He told the cops that he put the stolen phones in his bag and when his shift ended, he'd hand them off to the gang. He said they'd wait for him in an undisclosed location and flash their headlights as he approached which signaled the drop off. >> So on the date of your on your hire date, the first time you worked here, you went down to the bathroom around lunchtime and you accidentally bumped into one of these guys. >> It was like the second day of the work, which was like the third day working. >> So Okay. So >> like a Tuesday, I think it was. >> So the third day you were working here, you went down to the bathroom on your lunch break and accidentally bumped into a gentleman. Okay. He he said, "Hey, you know, do this for me or else we're going to have beef. You know, I'm going to do this." And he told you to take some phones and put them down at the end of the aisle. About 15 to 20 of them you took to your vehicle and then transition them to these gentlemen somewhere that's not at this facility. Correct. And they were driving a blue Mercury or Oldmobile, an older an older style vehicle. What do you drive? >> Like a navy. Oh, I drive a Hawaii Durango. >> A white Durango. Can we confirm the the value of those Samsung or Google phones? >> So, the Samsung's are $12.99. >> $12.99. >> The Google's are $9.99. >> So, he said greater than 30 of the Google phones and greater than 20 of the Samsung phones. >> The cops asked George to write down everything he told them and he agreed. He didn't disclose the exact value of the stolen merchandise, but the cops were able to estimate it based on the information he'd given. So, he's admitted to over 30, what he's saying is over 30 Google phones, which are valued at $9.99, over 20 Samsung phones that have valued at,300. He has relocated from where they were to the ends of the aisles for other people to grab. He's admitted to five times to taken 15 to 20 phones to his vehicle over there. Hm. No, I don't know if they're still in his vehicle cuz what he's saying is he'll lit he left here and then the guys that work here that are for him to do this, they'll flash their lights at them, honk their horn. He pull pulls over on the side of the road. They do the transaction there. >> We're at here on the airport. >> He said here on the airport. We at least have the 15 to 20. >> Yeah, he's throwing out one of his mistakes right now. Between the man's confession and the loss prevention investigation, the cops had everything they needed to charge George with a felony. As a result, he was placed in handcuffs and then escorted out of the building. >> So, right now, you're being placed under arrest for the theft. Okay. >> You're going to be coming with us. >> Anything else we need while we're >> Thank you so much. >> Thank you guys. >> Big help. >> Do you hear that? >> Yes. Yes. Yes, I gave it to officers. >> You got all their stuff? >> Yes. >> Thank you. Have a good night. >> And George, um, so you're going to be put on suspension, too, at work. Okay. >> So, you can't come back, but they're going to it's going to be paid suspension. All right. And then they'll reach out to you. Okay. >> George was accused of stealing property between $30,000 and 150 grand. The total value of the items, which included high-end electronics like smartphones and laptops and designer sunglasses and watches, was about $73,000. While George claimed that he was forced to participate by an outside group, according to investigators, the man's story was inconsistent. A large portion of the goods were later recovered and the man was taken into custody at the DFW holding facility. If found guilty, he could face a prison sentence of up to 2 to 10 years, a fine of up to $10,000, and be required to pay restitution for the stolen items. On the 26th of April, 2023, the cops were dispatched to a logistics facility after reportedly an employee had gone through another employees bag and stolen her belongings. >> So, it's two temporary associates, two temporary associates who work through me. Pretty much what happened was um the ladies recorded their items missing and then we went through the cameras and we verified who it was. Um he's currently working on the floor. So what what we want to do is um we have permission to interrogate him the by the by the staffing agency. >> Oh, okay. >> And [laughter] um but we're we're scared that there might be like you know him trying to run off or >> Okay. I mean we can go back there with you. >> Okay. >> So you guys actually saw him do it? >> Yes. So, three cell phones. >> It's three cell phones. It's uh her car keys. >> Oh, it's your stuff. >> Yeah. >> Oh, I'm sorry. Let me Can I get your uh You got your license and all that? >> It's in the >> Yeah, it's in the It's in um It's in my bag. >> She told the officer that she'd gladly provide ID, but the suspect had stolen her entire bag. Luckily for her, the entire incident was caught on camera and they knew exactly who the thief was. >> You want to press charges, [music] sir? >> Yeah. Let's go look at it. Show me the video first. This is what he went in there and he looked around. [music] Once he got what he wanted, he went in the bathroom. Then he came back and he put his jacket over what he what he was trying to steal or whatever. >> Okay. >> Then he came back and got it. Went in the bathroom. Put it all in one bag and walked off. >> Is that him right there? >> Oh, he had came in yet. She's praying now. While she's praying, when her backs turn, you going to see him come in. >> There he is. >> Okay. >> There the bag. Now you see it's all right there. Right now he going to grab it, cover it, put it at the bottom. You see it's gone. That's his stuff right there before he hid it. >> Oh, covered it. >> Yeah, he covered it all up on his jacket. >> You seen him walk off with it? >> Yeah. Let me show you again. >> He's fairly new. >> How long has he been working here? >> About a week. About a week. >> Oh, lord. >> Yeah, it's he's he's new. >> The suspect was already being held in the loss prevention office. And after reviewing the surveillance footage, it was time for the officer and manager to confront the man and let him know he'd been caught red-handed. >> How you doing, sir? >> Okay, so we are going to interrogate you. We did have some [music] items being reported missing. >> Um, we did go through cameras and we did see you take [music] them. >> I took them. I didn't take them. I ain't no All I have is my backpack. >> Did you have a black >> I had a black hoodie up? It's in the thing in the on the floor. So, I mean, what I take? All I have is my bag and my >> What color is the bag? >> It's black. >> Black? [music] >> Yeah. >> Where I see again? Did you take the item? >> No, I didn't. You can go check the camera again if you show. I don't have nothing on with my bag and my black hoodie [music] which you see me on camera. So, how could I take it when take what? What did I take? I went tell when I went in the break room. I had a black bag and my hoodie in the break room. I didn't take it. >> Even after notifying the man that he'd been caught stealing the bag on camera, he still had the audacity to lie right to their faces. It didn't matter what they said. He just continued to deny it. >> No, I don't have none. You check check the bags, all my bags. I don't have >> Okay. >> Did you Did you ride with someone? >> No, I ain't ride with nobody. >> Did you drive? >> Yeah. What do you drive? >> Uh, I walked to the car with uh one of my friends just though, but I didn't drive nobody. Somebody drove me here. >> Somebody drove me here? >> Yeah. >> Okay. You said you walked to a car? >> Yeah, I walked to a car. That was >> out here. >> Yeah. >> Okay. What time? >> Was Justin? >> Justin. >> Did he ride with you? >> Uh, he didn't ride with me. I just went to a car. Let me check the camera when I go out there. >> Is the car still up in the parking lot? >> No, it was somebody that came on break. [music] >> So, did you when you walked in the break room, did you see a silver or gray style bag? >> No, I didn't see no silver gray bag. I only put my bag down. I put my bag up on the top shelf on the second shift and I came back in. I switched and I put a black hoodie on. I had a black hoodie. Took that off cuz I was hot and wrapped it and put it on on top of my other bag. Then I came back in, got my bag and my other hoodie and I left. >> Yeah. The man left. All right. He left with his co-worker's bag and then handed it off to a friend who drove away. The officer explained the suspect's actions that he'd witnessed on surveillance footage step by step. But the suspect said it was impossible because he didn't steal anything. >> You would have seen me wrap it up, though. Y'all had me on camera wrapping wrap me up with >> Okay. So, you just stated that you put your bag on the very top shelf. You never reach the top shelf. >> No, I'm talking about the second shelf. It's the same. >> Second from the bottom. >> That's the same. But that's the same shelf though. No, >> no. It's the second from the bottom and then you put it on the bottom shelf. >> I don't have none. You can check all my belongings. I don't I don't have nothing. >> Well, the fact that you took a bag and you went and took it out to the car and the car is no longer on air. >> No, the car the car didn't land. The car never I never went to the car with my bag. You can check on the thing outside. I never went to the car. Nobody left. >> You walked in. You walked in here with the bag. That means you might That means you took the bag out the premises because when you walked in with Justin, we have on camera that you did walk in with. >> That's what I'm saying. But I never went to no car. Nothing. No. What's her name? Nothing. >> Well, you just said that on Rick that you that you somebody came by. >> Yeah, >> you're right. >> Somebody came by. I never went into the car with my bag. They he said that he made I left like the stuff left with the person or what? I never had nothing. >> Did you leave the premises with the bag? >> Yeah, I left outside. I walked out the entrance, but I never >> Did you get a car? >> No, I didn't get no car. Y can check me on camera. I never got no car. Um the whole time I'm [music] married, I never went nowhere. The cops were getting nowhere with the man, and it was clear he wasn't going to admit anything. Next up, they talked to Justin, the suspect's friend, who he'd gone on a break with shortly after the theft. >> What time did you guys go on break? >> Uh, we went on break at like 6:55. >> 6:55. Did he have a silver gray bag on him? >> Uh, >> anything walk outside? >> Probably like a Adidas bag. That's about it. >> Oh, what? >> Adidas bag? Like a book bag? >> Like a black one? >> Do you hand it off to anyone? Not that I know. [ __ ] >> How long have you known him for? >> He just started, boy. I say I've been here for a minute. This don't never got pulled off the floor. Huh? >> How long you been here? >> Like this going to be coming up on my third month. >> My bad. >> While the officer interviewed Justin, the suspect let loss prevention get his bag from the break room so they could search it. And while the stolen bag wasn't inside it, you won't believe what the officer found. >> Can you open it? I got socks. This slides, wipes, deodorant, headphones. Got this first. I ain't got nothing but socks and diapers in here, bro. I don't got nothing. I swear. You >> mind if I take a look? >> Yeah. >> Just want to check. Okay. >> Who's Stephanie? >> Probably one of them. >> Probably one of who? >> One of them. >> One of who? >> One of them. That mistake right there. Like I said, that bag was in his >> That bag was what? >> That bag was in his locker. That's They probably put that in. Bman, do we know the victim's name? >> Huh? >> That was inside of his bag. >> That's what that was inside of his bag. >> I don't know if that's the victim's name. >> So, how did that get in there, man? >> Somebody had to put I put >> Come on, man. >> If it's in 155, bro, I never put that in my locker. That's the lock I put his in. >> You're saying it's Justin? >> I don't know. >> You're saying Justin put that in there? >> Listen, man. Be real with us. Okay. Why is this in your bag? >> I didn't put that in my bag. >> Why is it in your bag? >> It's not I didn't >> Why? >> Be truthful, okay? >> Yeah. This can go one or two ways. Okay. So, why was this in your bag? >> I didn't put that in my bag. You keep saying it wasn't. That's not I didn't put that in my bag. When we left, you already seen me on camera. >> He He took that. Like, I ain't even going to play with you. >> He took your locker as well. >> Oh, that's that was the same place I had my other stuff in. I didn't take nothing, bro. I didn't take nothing. You can check the cameras or nothing. I don't have I don't have nothing, bro. >> Okay. >> And while the stolen bag wasn't inside it, you won't believe what the officer found. As far as the suspect went, he could deny he stole the bag till he was blue in the face. But unfortunately for him, the cameras don't lie. The woman's ID in his bag was just the cherry on top. With the evidence stacked against him, the cops placed him in cuffs. And just when you thought the guy couldn't get any dumber, he did the dumbest thing imaginable. >> Turn around. >> Dude, I thought you said you left this at home, man. You said you don't have your ID card. You left all that stuff at home. You're not allowed to carry your wallet on you. >> No. 42. I got one on foot. 42. I got one headed northbound on Valley View Road. We're at that way. Right around a corner. Right around a corner. >> It was hard to imagine what was going through the suspect's head. The cops knew exactly who he was, and they had all of his employee information. Even if he did manage to escape, he would just become a wanted fugitive. But unfortunately for the suspect, he only managed to escape for so long. 42. He's wearing a black >> jeans, white t-shirts you with handcuffs. I got them right here. Stand up. >> Do not move. >> 42. I have them right here by the side of the bridge. >> Side of the building on ATP. >> Do not move. Do you hear me? >> Stupid move. >> All right. All right. All right. Okay. Okay. Okay. >> N ain't okay, man. >> All right. Let's get them up. Good. >> We are. >> Damn. Man, >> let's go. Let's go. Come on. >> Why you jumping? >> Hey, let's go. >> Why you running for it? >> Because, bro. >> Because why? Huh? You could have just told us the truth up there. All right. >> Yes, sir. >> All right. >> Yes, sir. >> That's additional charges. >> How's it looking at him, dude? >> Bro, I ain't got nothing down. Why you looking at me? >> What's the matter, man? >> Ran for no reason. >> Damn. Why you >> get in there? They charge the man with theft of property, escape while under arrest, fraudulent use or possession of a credit or debit card, and another count of fraud involving the use or possession of identifying information. On May 7th, 2025, the cops were dispatched to a Circle K after reportedly an employee had been captured on surveillance camera stealing $700 worth of scratch tickets. >> Hey, what's going on, man? >> Hi. Uh the girl, she was working my [ __ ] Uh she came in um in the fifth. >> Where is she now? >> Huh? >> Where is she now? >> No, she No, no, she uh that was my shift. We catch it today. This has been short $700. >> So I look at the cameras. I got three videos, one night shift. Okay. All right. And she came in today. I'm working 2:00. She's in there. So I want to show you the pictures. Okay. from here. Okay, first that was victim. She was acting. Okay, basically right now she's having her hand right by the scat pulling the scat off. Okay, she took one. She going to sit down. When you sit down, she's going to put it in her leg and you're going to see she having it now by her leg, right? >> Okay. >> When she sit down, you're going to see it. since she's going to break the shirt. >> The manager pulled his phone out and showed the officer footage of the employee stealing. He explained that she'd been stealing scratch tickets and said that later he could show the officer further footage on the big monitors in his office. >> The first one I want to show you was $20 ticket. These is it's $50 ticket. All right. Uh >> I'll write it down on the paper inside. >> Okay. But right now, she has no idea. >> No. >> Okay. >> All right. Yeah, just give me a couple minutes. I'm g check something real quick and then I'll be in there. >> Yeah, he just he just got done showing me the footage on his phone. I guess it was last night. >> This one this girl? >> No, she's working inside. She has no idea. But yeah, you can see it on the footage where she's pretty much leaned over think as he's hiding from the camera just pulling rows of them out. And he says they're they don't have a way of tracking, I guess, which ones it was, but they're $700 shorter from what should be there. The officer met the manager back in his office and asked him to swear [music] that what he told him was the truth. Shortly after, the officer went up to the front counter to confront the suspect. Excuse me. Can we come back here for a second? >> This is about the last time you worked. >> Okay. >> From I guess 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. So from the 5th to the 6th. >> Yes. >> They are $700 short. >> What? >> It is specifically with scratchoff tickets. >> Okay. They have a camera that sits right over the cashier. All right, that camera very clearly shows you pulling rows. All right, of scratch offs and they identified it as the gold rush million for 50. There was another one for the 500x the cash that was 50 and then another one that was 20. Can you explain that? >> You know why you took it? I've been needing money and I didn't want to take money out. So, >> you're just been hurting on money and did something dumb, obviously. >> Well, it seems like the woman's honesty was going to make the cop's job a whole lot easier. She told the cop that she didn't scratch all the tickets. She was more than happy to return them and pay [music] the difference. >> How long have you worked here? >> A week. >> Okay. So, you're still pretty new here. Yeah. >> Gotcha. Do you recall exactly how many it was? Like >> I think it was um two of the first one. >> I think it was two of each of the 50 ones and then like four. >> Okay. What did you do? Just put those in your pocket or in your pants or something? >> I like like I said, I just got off the drugs. I just lost my boyfriend. I'm I just I'm trying to get my life together and I just I got overwhelmed. I don't want to work. >> Go ahead. >> I won't pay attention. >> I really will. >> I got you. But I mean, you got to think you got a job right now. >> I get that. That may not pay very well. >> I know. I wasn't I wasn't really looking at it like that. >> Worth going doing all that. You know, >> if she was trying to get her life back in order, she was going about things in the worst way possible. On top of getting herself fired, now she was facing a criminal record. All she did was make things harder for herself. I lost my boyfriend a month ago to overdosing. I overdosed. I'm just trying to get my life together. Just like I should be grateful. I should really have been grateful. I just I wasn't thinking. >> I got you. >> Did you scratch them or >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> How many I lost? I mean, I I'll pay back the money. >> I mean, did you win anything or No, >> no. But like I said, I I'll pay it back. Were you working by yourself? Okay. Is there only one person here at night? Like that late? That sounds kind of dangerous. >> It wasn't really that bad angel. >> I'll pay you back. >> She continued to plead with the officer, saying she'd pay them back. But like the officer told her, that was out of his hands, especially because the manager wanted to press charges. I'm not I can't take the chance, right? So, unfortunately, I have to walk out of here withid you do try to run and the car hits you and now I'm going to lose my job. >> Where's that at? >> It's over. Oh, the car is outside. Your horse is in the car. >> You'll just check her real quick. >> You want to do it here outside? >> Yeah, on you. >> That's okay. Don't worry. >> Yeah, bug's fine. >> You able to fill out the victim's stuff? Give it the maries and all that. >> Yeah, I can do that. >> All right. You don't have any AirPods or headphones here? Just >> watch your leg here. There we go. >> And you do know that if you have anything that's you're not supposed to. Okay. I just like to let everyone know. >> Some people hide things and places we can't see. >> Trust me. Yeah, I get you. >> They charged the woman with misdemeanor theft and she was trespassed from the premises. On the 17th of April 2023, the cops were dispatched to a Dollar General store after reportedly an employee there had been called operating a major fraud scheme. >> Hey, how you doing? >> Yeah, how you doing? >> I'm Frank from Launch Prevention. >> How you have an employee what she was doing was scanning her phone, her cash app on her phone and entering the clos and entering funds. She also took a PlayStation gift card, loaded it, but never never she was never putting money in the register. So, she ow she she loaded $775. And then she also on this day, these are all the c this is all the cash. And then on this day, she let this customer walk out with $300 worth of merchandise. That's her right there. Damn. >> Um, >> is she here now or? >> Yeah, she's right there. She just walked. >> So, everything's on here and everything's on video for you. Here you go. >> The employee was being accused of secretly loading her Cash App account with $200 to $300 at a time, then marking the transactions as paid when no money had been received. On top of that, she'd stolen cash directly from the register and let her friends leave the store with unpaid goods. The suspect was called to the loss prevention office to speak to the officer. What's up, bro? >> What you have got yourself into, >> huh? Well, you know, that's not my, you know, not my call, you know. I mean, you own up to some things. You have a conversation with them. You know, that's totally up to them. >> You are. >> That's totally up to them, not me at this point. All right. So, they gave me a list of these transactions. All right. >> Yeah. I told them I paid that. I told him what uh I admitted to some things. He said he would talk to you about maybe if you can give me a court date or something. >> Well, what I mean did you need money or were you What was going on? >> I met the dude walk out with a lot of stuff. >> Yeah, he told me about that. I think it was like $300 something dollars, right? >> In addition to admitting that she let her friend steal merchandise. She also admitted to stealing money via Cash App. Remember, we're not just talking about pocket change here. She was accused of stealing almost $3,000. >> How does that work? Like with I'm not [music] familiar with Cash App. So, is it just a app? You scan the card and it goes out. >> Okay. And it just goes on your phone. So, you would just >> You would just load it with however much you want it and then you just scan it and it'll go into your account. >> Mhm. >> Okay. And then as far as the um as far [music] as the different times where you let the person walk out, did you know the person or how did that work out? >> No, I don't know. I just use a friend just when I need to get the park and stuff. >> Okay, gotcha. [music] So they just ring up a bunch of stuff and then how does it work? They just walk out or >> they just ring some stuff up and walk out. >> Okay. So >> the other one was trying [music] to like you know there was a boy that knew me >> and he was getting some stuff. I said, "No, >> okay." >> She told the officer that she knew what she was doing was wrong, but after trying it once, it just became a pattern. And unfortunately for this woman, because of the amount she'd stolen, she was facing [music] serious charges. >> This is the way it works. All right? >> And it's totally in their hands, but they're wanting to file charges. Okay? Because of the amount, all right, it would be considered grand theft. All right. >> And it's a felony. >> So you'd have to be taken in you would have to be obviously taken to the county jail and >> arraign and stuff like that only because of the amount. Okay. >> So at this point >> I don't know. I don't really know how the bonds work. Sometime you may get out of sometimes you may have to go see a judge the next day. I'm not I mean, you don't really have a record, so I mean, you may be able to just bought it out today >> tonight. >> Yeah. So, >> I'm not trying to get >> She's a She's never been >> She's not has no prior, so it'll probably be withheld and just pay restitution and go to the >> I'm not going to [ __ ] >> the uh >> the program. So, >> you'll be uh you'll be okay. >> Yeah. And with that, the suspect was ordered to stand up so the officer could escort her out. The only saving grace for the woman was that she didn't have any priors. Hopefully, it'll be a learning experience for her so she would never steal again. >> Handcuff out there or I'm trying to take off now. [laughter] >> I don't want to embarrass you. You wanted you wanted >> here. You >> all right? >> Uh, I doubt you'll be in that how long, you know. >> I highly doubt it. Let's hurry up in here. >> I know everybody being nosy and stuff. You see that? That's when everybody want to walk their dogs and come outside. >> Listen, just learn from this. >> You're still here. >> Y'all can't put in the chance program. >> That's good. >> Y'all can't put in the chance program. >> I don't know. >> That's what he said. He say um he say >> okay >> I'll just check your phone >> I'm not going to terminate >> I got whatever >> phone number just >> okay >> all right I see >> all right >> oh move my shirt >> they charged the woman with felony grand theft and she was sentenced to two years probation on July 22nd 2025 the cops were dispatched to a retail door after [music] reportedly an employee had been stealing merchandise and taking money from the register. When the officers got there, they talked to the accused employee out front. >> What exactly is going is >> they said >> what's going on? >> He said there's multiple incidents that it was like on the cash resup stuff and stuff like run up and stuff being stolen stuff like that. >> Pretty much that's what he said. So I told him with me being here, I'm not leaving until I get the full understanding because I don't feel like I did nothing wrong. >> Okay. >> I never worked cash register up here. My first time up here. I have plenty of mistakes. Couple people fixed them. But like now he's saying that I walked out with stuff that is stolen and like it was few few ACs that was broken that I that was damaged out and stuff like that. That that's what me and him was just talking about. Okay. >> But just like I said, I'm not going to him on anything but just like he said, just going to the doctor. He has nothing to do with kept, but it's not it's not stealing. You know what I'm saying? >> Essentially, the employee here, Daniel, was accused of going on a massive shopping spree. Like we said, they'd accused the man of stealing money from the register, but he had an excuse for everything. Furthermore, he confessed to taking damaged goods, so the cop wanted to hear more. He said it was people, multiple people come to my line and that a lot of stuff wasn't getting rung up or candy bar stuff was getting rung up and like it was miscommunications on certain ends and just like I spent time say I never worked cash at first in any other place. So, like it may have been a conversation that I may got through or something like that, >> but I don't feel like I was stunning anything, but >> Okay. How about the three of us go into an office, >> right? I don't got nothing to hide. I have nothing to hide. >> They're damaged products. You take them out back. You're supposed to throw them away. And then if >> I just keep them I just I just keep them. Like I just told you, I ain't going lie to you about I kept >> That's fine. But >> I ain't lie to you about it. I lied to you about that. >> What's the policy on that? Are they allowed? >> They're not eligible for the merchant is supposed to be damaged and discarded, destroyed to a point where it can't be taken by any employee. That's our policy. >> See, and and my understanding what that is, that was never explained to me. When [music] they just said when it's damaged, I'll take it to the back. That's all my understanding was. I never was told to cut no cords or anything just like he explained to you outside. >> At that point, the manager stepped in and he clarified to the cops that he had evidence that none of the products were damaged or returned. In addition, he said he had surveillance of Daniel and he was taking items directly off the sales pallet. >> Um, over the course of four weeks, I have 23 video incidents where he he takes out either by walking out himself, bagging up merchandise himself, or having customers come through the line where he would scan a 50 cent candy bar in lie of an air conditioner or a large pillow or something with value, charge them $300 or $4 and walk out with $200, $300 for the merchandise. The total that we could prove on video was $3,14 over the last 4 weeks. The day in question, the air conditioners are brand new. There's one female involved that's typically here every time. He says that he doesn't know who he is. I believe it's his wife. >> But well, either way, this the same lady he bag of merchandise up for, gives her, >> walks out with with air conditioners, and this is all happened. The biggest hit was on the I think it was Saturday the 19th. It was almost $1,100 in merchandise that he walked out of the door. The manager directly accused Daniel of lying and said the video evidence against him was concrete. He said he could lie all he wanted, but it didn't matter to him. It was the judge he'd have to convince. >> You can stick to that story. That's fine. I don't care what you say. I'm just showing what the video shows. >> Okay. >> And consistently being the same person shows that it's not basically. >> So, >> I'm going to ask you this. Who is the person in the videos? >> I have no clue. >> Who's the female? >> I have no be honest. I don't I have no clue who that is. Now, if I knew yall was to let me go home, I will tell you. I do not know. >> If I let you go home, you'll tell me. >> I don't know. I said if I knew who she was, I will [music] tell you. >> Look, man. I'm just being honest with you. When this is get when this is going to get transferred over to DB. >> What is DB? >> Detective Bureau. And Detective Bureau is going to look into this. They're going to watch the videos. Okay. >> Let me ask you this question. >> And they'll they'll they'll eventually identify the woman. Daniel then was asking the officer if he found out who she was, would they let him go home? It was about the dumbest question you could imagine, as that wasn't going to replace all the merchandise he'd stolen. >> You've been caught on video doing this. I understand your son's in the hospital. I understand you want to make a call to your wife. I'm allowing you to make a call to your wife right now. >> Keep taking me to the restroom, please. The rest keep taking Keep walk me to the restroom. I told her not to use the restroom. Keep walking right here to the restroom. She's still on the phone. I'm not doing nothing funny. She's still on the phone. She cries. I'm [music] not lying. Hello. >> I'm not lying. I'm serious. I'm not doing nothing funny, sir. >> All right. Do you mind if I talk to her? >> She She hysterical right now. >> Okay, I understand that. I'm just telling you. I'm going to ask her if she's the woman in the video. >> She's not the woman in the video. I can tell you that now.
