incident in Target where a mother came in with a calculated plan to get some free stuff and this time she brought her son along what she didn't take into account were the security cameras watching her get something when you come to a store like this and you put stuff in your shopping cart what are you supposed to do once you put it all in your car I you didn't do anything wrong just so you know you're not in trouble sod I put the soda next to her but she forgot it was mine the officer separated the mom from her son and thankfully the kid wasn't upset by the situation and wasn't scared of the cops the mom however who was going through a divorce seemed very nervous probably because she was caught red-handed one of the parents was like 25 30 bucks and you put a new tag on it how were you putting the tags on on that I didn't put those tags on that they were hanging in the clearance aisle okay then yeah you didn't take any of the tags off the pants no what tags you the video I'm in the clearance aisle the whole time what tags did you swap them just the um sticky ones okay how many items did you swap um a folder the Lego set I told him that the folder the Lego set and and nothing and then a bag didn't have a tag okay that's it yeah I'm not sure what the Press on that bag violate me guys please I can't go to jail you guys don't understand I don't wanted to go jail well we don't we we don't want her to but the store wants her to be arrested for taking the things that she shouldn't have and she knows better and she'll probably tell you that but unfortunately she has to go to jail understand what's going on they they might not have pursued charges but she's done this multiple times in this store in this store yes I don't understand I gave her money to go a get sleep aids and tea I'm like go to Dollar General she's been doing this app to it she didn't know it's not has nothing to do with your soda buddy okay but and grandpa will explain everything to you okay every kind of gave him a speech of mom made a mistake but she knew it was wrong where did you get that from I left Dollar General 2 weeks ago with a tall packet of water and forgot all about it so I went all the way back and I forgot to pay for that some L looking at me like and I I did it too for plastic utensils yeah I don't know where you get that um but you're good to go to take him all right uh because I'm like you bring it me out I'm like it's almost every time yeah I don't know I don't trust her number five well that's bad the boy's grandfather seemed like a decent man and since he gave his daughter more than enough money it's completely understandable how shocked he was about what his daughter did maybe she was doing it just for the thrill of it why do you keep stealing your dad just said he gave you money he did he gave me $28 and then I just came here to see if they had my mom sleep a tier why did you steal because I've been locked in my house for 9 years with a husband who controlled me what does that have to do with you stealing stuff I didn't have money or anything what does that have to do with you stealing stuff and setting a terrible example for your son ma'am you why did you open up the rapping if you weren't stealing I didn't I ripped it in half I threw the other half why why not who cares I don't get it this woman's got an endless list of excuses but what she lacked completely was any sense of accountability she was whiny but also she was incredibly arrogant when she was scolded by the officer for setting a bad example for her son all right I need you to stand up and face away from me okay get me back put your hands together like you're praying oh have a seat while we check your purse you okay with you got more money in here what's in it THC that's a f no I have a my C where is it it's not on me but you can my name when you have something like that you're required to have it with you you know that I didn't know that actually cuz my idid always works in the dispensary I don't have to bring my med card I can bring my ID because they can look it up but once you get it you are legally required to have that at all times later when she couldn't provide a medical card for the THC vape in her purse things got even worse for the woman she tried to claim innocence by claiming she had no idea she needed to carry it with her but unfortunately no one was buying it even if that is true ignorance of the law doesn't excuse anyone you should know that it's your responsibility to know that just like having a driver why so mean to you I'm not being mean I'm being blunt and honest mean to me just because you don't like what I'm saying doesn't mean it's mean I'm being M it's a it's a statement of fact it's your responsibility I get it I'm not medical marijuana card right to the end the woman tried to act like the victim even going so far as complaining that the officers were mean to her hopefully a night in jail would bring this woman to her senses she was charged with shoplifting between $100 and $749 and also charged with scheming to defraud on the 30th of May 2023 the Boon Beach Police Department responded to a call about a female Shopper inside a local Walmart who is concealing items in her purse she was spotted by security cameras and involved not only her sister but also her 2-year-old [Applause] child I'm not resisting I'm give the officer her child's name all she was doing was digging a bigger hole for herself she was being completely uncooperative and the cops were done wasting their time don't keep pulling away okay and the officers were left struggling to secure the car seat for him in the pouring rain this guy get you in the car you're getting rained on all right now where's the thingy see he knows his arms up and everything you got to put the things through his arms he knows no he know where's the thing is it usually under that's you want me to do it yeah please I'll take the cars we don't have kids no no children for me head up hi despite this high stress situation this kid was adorably smart and calm it helped immensely that the team of officers were gentle and friendly with him he was taken to the police station and picked up by DCF his mother on the other hand would spend a night in The Slammer Man here's your key I gave her your sister your number too so she could call you okay how do you have any information that I can call or a number that I can call to find out where my nephew is he's at the station with DCF okay can they releas him to me if I go pick him up can't why even with legal documentation no she actually just asked just to make sure just in case if you can pick her up but she custody tell me where they're taking him though I don't know I don't know can I go to the police station you go to police station and try to talk somebody to front desk okay all right where is she being taken to Gun Club gun club and do you know when she'll be released or anything nope you know how that works I don't know after we take them up there they take care of it from there so okay the sister was released and was very insistent on getting info about her nephew fortunately the officer didn't entertain her entit attitude very long the final twist in the case was the boy's grandmother and Uncle showing up at the police station here's a situation is that your wife or no that's my brother's baby mama basically Grandma here okay okay so that's just my nephew so where's your your brother he's in Tennessee he's in Tennessee yeah okay so here's here's what's happening um did you do you know anything of what's going on at all I don't know much okay all right so she got arrested for shoplifting she had your nephew uh with with her while she was doing that um because of the circumstances and her inability to supervise her child at the time she was arrested for that as well as child neglect because you can't be yeah it's a 2-year-old child you can't be doing stuff like that so what's going to happen right now is um I can take down your information um does does she stay does does the boy stay with you guys at all or some days yeah some days with with Grandma okay so I'm going to Grandma I'm going to take your uh information down and I'm going to pass it on because we had to get DCF involved obviously the boy's father was in Tennessee far away and the family would now have to wait on DCF to determine whether or not they'd get him back the suspect was charged with child neglect Petty retail theft resisting without violence and contributing to the delinquency of a minor our next case takes us to yet another Walmart this time in Athens Georgia it was February 24th and officers were notified of a shoplifting in progress the employees noticed a woman with her two young kids attempting to steal and cops were promptly dispatched to the scene here let me get just come to the loss prevention office and we'll figure it out let me see your ID oh you never been in trouble before you never been in trouble this won't be a big deal but they were watching you and they said that you didn't pay for a lot of stuff so let's go in here and see what's going on and your kids in it but I can pay for whatever we'll figure it out 3369 Central sorry she was cooperative with the officers but this woman had a very nonchalant attitude this could be a sign of Innocence or it could be manipulation in the Lost prevention office the investigation would now continue and if they can trust the woman it could count in her favor that this was her first time getting in trouble I'm trying a lot of the stuff I gave her back said I didn't want I'm trying to figure out what did I well they were watching you on video and they said you didn't scan a bunch of it but we'll suspicious Vibes it's also not a great sign when your kid's playing with a pack of Newport cigarettes while sitting in the cart and you said you never been in trouble before no you ever been arrested for shoplifting no you ever been arrested for shoplifting I mean the worst it would be is a ticket so you ain't got nothing to sweat okay I mean it still sucks but you're not going to jail so but at the end of the day I appreciate you guys for doing what y'all did instead of making it a big scene cuz I have my kids I appreciate there ain't no reason to be a big and I appreciate you also man cuz moments later she claimed that she doesn't really smoke either but at this point no one was really taking her seriously at the end of the day I can pay for it well that's on there these are not one of them not trying to be rude no well that's the thing I mean like I said we still have a job to do it is what it is I mean you paid you paid for most of it but like I said you'll probably get a citation and you'll probably get barred from here here and that'll probably be the end of it if This Woman's so eager to pay for the stolen items maybe she should have done that in the first place and what do their luck at shoplifting at a Target in Lacy Washington on March 19th 2024 before they took their 9-month-old baby on a shopping trip they used the kid as a distraction hoping they wouldn't be caught them all though that's I'm double checking I think he might have one so he selects them together and then she helps conce them yeah cuz the baby's in here at the time and then they pull the baby out other ones are in there okay the employee showed the cop footage of the couple literally stuffing items in their baby stroller so they clearly didn't realize they were being filmed the whole time maybe they forgot they're stealing from one of the largest retail Giants which can of course afford to have a ton of security cameras okay you have the right to remain silent and you say can use against unic cour law you have the right to time to talk to a lawyer and have him present with you while you're being questioned if you cannot afford to hire a lawyer one will be appointed to represent you before any questioning if you wish and you can decide at any time to exercise these rights and I'll answer any questions or make any statements do you understand those rights with those either and it was his turn now to try and arrange for someone to come pick up the baby eventually they got in touch with his sister and his father and they agreed to make the trip oh do you want to he's got his stuff yeah right Grandpa's on the way to pick up the TR coming from the employee searched the shopping cart finding $400 of stolen merchandise including Lego figures that the baby was too young to even play with proving they were only stealing for themselves and on top of that they really didn't seem too concerned about the baby if I get B out today you think I'll be all back for I have no idea with the process would be for how long it'll take today though right you know the fastest way to do it though don't get in jail oh yeah but like you got to live and learn you know well I hope you can learn from this yeah exactly exactly but you I'm pretty sure you've done something stupid too not like this you never stupid not like I've never committed a crime like this type of thing one of the baby's first memories as she was handcuffed and taken to the patrol car the baby's grandfather arrived and he's probably pretty embarrassed by the scene that his adult children have caused were taken to jail with their family stepping up to take care of the baby and their car both parents were transported to the Nali Correctional Center and each received a charge of misdemeanor shoplifting on the 30th of March 2024 the Palm Beach County Police Department received a jarring 911 call it was a very hot day and Shoppers noticed a young boy alone in a parking lot he was only 4 bathroom really bad and he was sleeping so I just in there you you you have hi hi hi when officers arrived his mother was back at the car already but judging by how hot the little boy looked it was clear she was inside the store for much longer than she was claiming so he was sleeping and I just ran in there huh um you called what 10 minutes ago and that was right stand I just really had to go to the and you can look it up on my Hospital record that I in and out of the hospital having surgery can do me a favor you camer far out it's going to be hard I I will try she her excuse of running in to use the bathroom was not a great one considering she could have brought the child in with her the cops now need to check the security cameras to determine exactly how long she was inside and therefore find out if she was telling the truth so when you pulled up in part in the middle of the road did you go up to him well yeah we stopped there like what's going on you just kept saying I want my mommy where's my mommy I want my mommy she just got like you guys like literally you guys pulled up and she walked she right there do you have your IDE yeah my other 13-year-old is in the bathroom can I go inside with him one second your 13-year-old is in the bathroom yeah she was with she ran with me to the bathroom okay she she's can I please go get her hold on one second I'm going to have hey there's a 13-year-old in there too she came with me to the bathroom the witness accounts certainly didn't back the woman's story up then the officers learned that her 13-year-old daughter was still inside and it's pretty astounding that she showed more concern for her teenager than her toddler hey so what so were you in the car with your brother I was going in the's bathro okay where was your mom at so you guys both went into the bathroom yeah I don't like going by myself and side places like that so I asked her to call back okay how long ago did you guys go to the bathroom not too long ago okay and you left your little brother by himself in the car um I thought would be fine since he's sleeping you you can't leave the car un attended with him in there it's hot where do you guys live um I'm not really living with my mom I was just here hang out with her for the weekend okay you live with your dad yes where where do you live in Riviera Riviera Beach with your dad yes okay where does your mom stay at um at a hotel right now okay when the officer questioned the teenager she repeated her mom's story of only having been gone for a few minutes she mentioned her mom was staying in a hotel and while the staff were checking the cameras they coincidentally noticed that the mom was attempting to shoplift you got to stop what to think you got to just deal with what we're dealing with right now main thing right now is you catch your breath because you're going to have an anxiety attack I know okay we we can control that ourselves okay I know look at me look at me blow out a littleit air in I have to go to the bathroom again what's your name O Okay unfortunately for her no amount of crying and hyperventilating can change her fate and it's a little too late to feel remorse for what she's done fortunately after she was read her rights she agreed to talk to the officers the part was running yes with the keys inside no no I don't I don't remember now I don't remember okay but the kid was in there but the yeah the window the windows were up no the windows were down the windows were down yes well the windows were all up that window's 100% down which one the one with a blanket that blanket was was not if you was not there when I went in there the the window was open the blanket was not like that when when when I left him it was open okay but you still left the child unattended I did in this weather I right breathe I didn't realize it was I didn't think I'm stupid really I really think it I'm just I'm really fire rescue is right here and I don't want thinking okay just I am it didn't take long for the woman to become hysterical again it's uncertain at this point if her SOB stories are truthful whether she was really having a panic attack or if all of this was just an act she still needs to face the consequences of her actions because she might not know it yet but she truly put her child's life at risk right now you're being placed under arrest not child neglect but for shoplifting I didn't shoplift anything yes you did you pass all point of sale with baset I didn't mean to leave you left that daughter you left your daughter inside because you were going to come get your car come on no I wasn't can you my mom and told to BU me out right away put your hands I give you a Praying come on it'll be easier I can't I can't I can't was definitely going into a hysterical panic and while claiming she doesn't know what to do she would have known it by then if she'd only listened to what the cops were instructing am I allow is DCF going to take my kid then you know what I'm saying after that I could get him back as soon as I get out right you and you're giving them permission look look at me he's not law enforcement look at me have calmed the woman down it had the complete opposite effect listen if you would be if you would have been honest with me 100% from the beginning did I was I you were in there for 24 minutes I didn't know it that long I swear to God I didn't know he just leave it a child I know I agree with you that's not the only reason I didn't I ear this I understand that I'm scared the officer then explained the situation to the teenage girl's dad and he clearly understood that the woman was in quite a bit of trouble she left him in the car car and she had keys with her okay so kids guy Heats usually 15 to 20° hotter in a car with nothing except people basically cook from the inside Tak it out well he eventually got out was found literally right there by strangers okay she left him untended okay he got out and by himself that's child okay number two she was in there while they were trying to review the cameras to check out uh how long she would left the child she Liv there for 24 minutes that's not 5 minutes I just killing everybody else okay camera show she was in there collecting stuff stuffing stuff trying to steal it walk out put your daughter by the front door tells her to stand there and wait so she can go get the car to go pick up the sub sh Deo so in a commissioner of a crime she creates another one so that's where we're at shockingly the little boy was left alone in the car for nearly 30 minutes so it's a miracle he didn't pass out or worse since the woman clearly couldn't be trusted Ed as the dad prepared to take the kids in the car both he and the officer wanted to make sure there weren't any more surprises can we ask her before I take off in this car if there anything I need to know about if it has gas I don't drive it it's got drugs yeah that you get full that's on you that's that too that too so that's whoever's in possession is in possession that too that too man that too cuz if that's the case screw the cat cuz I got eight license my I'm straight Chris are you good right now you're good license I have to run you just before I let you off it's logical of course for the man to make sure there are no illegal substances in the car leaving a child alone in a hot car is not something a mother in her right mind would do and the woman was really jumpy too so it's possible she took something that might have caused that cuz if he drives he gets caught then I swear to God and everything there's nothing in there that's bad period all right where you want me to park the car I don't want it at my house I'm taking the car only because his wife is to the cat I got to take the cat last point of sale r r no our point of sale even though it's past the registers it's not past the actual point that where we can stop them so she due to the store layout and technicalities the woman couldn't be charged with shoplifting but she was still in trouble for her very obvious child neglect this woman created a massive scene that in the final analysis could have been avoided and for leaving your brother unattended in the car cuz you guys can't leave your brothers and you guys were in there for more than 5 minutes that was you guys we're in there for 24 minutes if he would have stayed in the car he could have probably died if he didn't come out he could have probably died so you can't just leave any you can't leave a kid in the car okay brother because it's hot okay but your mom is going to be okay she's probably going to come out and later on just talk to you as things wrapped up the officer also gave a talk to the daughter the officer hoped the girl could learn a lesson from this very serious and nearly disastrous situation that her mother was being taken to jail for the mother received a charge of felony child neglect our next shoplifting case takes us way down south to Florida on March 29th 2024 the live o Police Department responded to a shoplifting in progress at Walmart a woman was using her baby stroller to try and hide or stolen items away but she wasn't alone because her sidekick was 14 years old so no ID okay Nei so the total you have give you a total there two receipts 14870 combined um the stuff on the left she said this is her sister don't know there's no idea and she doesn't want to talk and then this one here she gave me the false information first her name but since told me the truth her name is Madison and that stuff she concealed so all together they concealed around the baby in the stroller and hosted out the GM Door nice how old are you 14 got you you ever been to jail before okay you might going today who do you know that come pick up your child start making some calls with the officer arrived the Lost prevention manager explained the entire situation to him also stating that the shoplifter provided a fake name she was ultimately identified as Madison roboam and shortly after was read her rights but you are under USS now for retail theft and also contributing to the delinquency of a minor okay you worked in conjunction and allowed a minor who was in your custody to commit a crime that in itself is a crime so you're going to have two charges this is also going to be forward to the Department of Children and Family since you had a a toddler with you okay so Department children toddler that looks like a toddler to me it's not a toddler okay well you can argue with me all you want I'm telling you what you're in charge with you're going to be booked into the county jail and DCF is going to be notified um for your basically poor parenting today how many charges are CH get to is it to what's your case number one of the charges again contributing to the delinquency of a minor and Retail Min and ret this cop did not beat around the bush and he explained to Madison exactly what the consequences of her actions would be what made things worse was that there was a minor in her care while she was stealing and all this information was related to her mom on the phone your hands in front of you [Music] let's go bad move today bad bad move where's your car at get to find it let's go it's a um ma'am I'm not looking for your car for you Madison needed to get diapers and supplies for her baby out of the car and the officers helped her with her requests it looks like she's completely disoriented because she struggled to even locate her car listen to me very carefully very carefully okay have you ever been in trouble with the WW okay what happened just curious um well it wasn't like this it was just like at my house there was okay were you did you get arrested or anything like that okay all right well listen um when you steal from a business it's retail theft you obviously knew what you were doing was wrong okay um you can go to jail for that because of Walmart's policy their policy is to not prosecute juveniles um because we were all young and dumb ones we've all made mistakes we've all done stupid stuff all right so you're not going to be charged permanently today all right um what I will tell you is hanging out with people like that is going to your life up and yeah I get it I understand and and maybe she's a good person at heart so I'm I'm not I'm not saying that she's a bad criminal person but from my perspective she's rolling around in a score with two juveniles a toddler and you you're almost an adult but not quite um couple more years and whatever you guys do who's responsible for that she is cuz she's an adult the 14-year-old girl got off incredibly easy since Walmart's policy states they don't press charges against miners the officer tried to give the girl some good advice she told the girl what happens to your life when you choose to hang out with the wrong people time will tell if she took this lesson seriously M I was thinking about saying something walked up the yeah so you're you're you're getting off pretty easily here okay but you know you just because you're not an adult doesn't mean you can't be held accountable you still can go to J you still can be arrested okay you got it I don't want to preach at you I'm not her parent but you don't want to go down this path okay all right but still stay here until we get an adult to come pick y'all up even though she wouldn't be charged it was still a serious situation and she needed to learn her lesson while things were being ironed out both the parents of Madison and the Teen were on their way you have your idea [Music] man' this your daughter yes unfortunately they do what they do don't you've got a child 6mon old baby and you're here with her shoplifting thank you very much ironically when Madison's mother arrived Madison tried to pin the blame on the teenager Madison's mother was incredibly angry at her and we can't blame her is this what you stealing yes why is she stealing toilet priest you don't need stuff Madison you've asked for enough money to buy stuff you don't need to steal no you don't worry about make because where you're going you would about yourself is is the actual country you're weing in United Kingdom or Wales or England England yeah I always get confused what's considered UK and yeah I'm not yeah okay right that's Northern isand right yeah [Music] the mother got even more irate when she saw that Madison stole some needless toiletries since she was getting more than enough money from her parents also the baby stopped crying the second his grandmother picked him up why do you think that was so you get a job toight yeah you'll be out tomorrow morning probably out tomorrow morning yeah I don't think you're going to have a bond because the delinquency of a minor thing so not tonight you won have a bond but tomorrow you will it's not going to be a lot probably going to be 10 5 10,000 so 10% of that is what would get you out $500,000 something what happens if we don't have the she get just stays until it drop you you know that man not getting that back Madison's mom clearly wanted her daughter to learn a lesson and maybe a night in jail would be the ideal way to do that when she got out of jail she also wouldn't have her car anymore which seemed like a fair punishment where's the father of the child you don't know not not not involv the situation okay kind of just got Madison explained that she didn't know where the baby's father was and that he wasn't involved at all but by this time the teenage girl's father arrived on scene all right so your daughter told you what's going on right sir your daughter told you what was going on yeah okay well she's not being charged not going to jail don't thank me for that thank Walmart they have a policy where they'll prosecute youv okay 14 yeah that that's 14 is the policy cut off no I'll tell you later okay okay but I will tell you this if she she her information will be in her system if she gets caught doing it again at any other Walmart she will be charged that even if you're 14 this young girl was getting an incredibly lucky break but it was made crystal clear that she wouldn't be getting a second chance if it happened again her father's then able to take her home hopefully to teach her a lesson so if I don't get tomorrow um how could be a couple months could be a couple years I it just depends it's not going to be a couple years but I'm just say until your trial um but you can bail out at any time as long as you have a bond you could bail out much probably going to be 5,000 I think 5 to 10,000 yeah the petty theft is not going to be a lot the fact that you were uh responsible for do juveniles at this time that's what's going to you know be the the higher amount but I can't see it more being more than 10 could you not put hand up yeah really uncomfortable listen man getting arrested is uncomfortable I know I all right and you seem listen to me you seem to have this attitude of like oh well I did wrong but you know everything will bend and Flex for me and that's not how it goes you're in the Cody of the state now for the county it seemed like Madison knew her parents would not be bonding her out and she'd be on her own thankfully the officer quickly put a stop to her very demanding attitude I apologize to what everybody everybody makes mistakes everybody gets in trouble at some point in their life you know what I mean but this business is with the juveniles being present is unacceptable all right all right let's go I'll get with you later yep yep you got your phone with you what you got with you yep yep that's fine we're gonna go this way to car okay can I get of my clothes out of my car real quick you need to what some of my clothes out the car what do you need your clothes you don't need any they will not let Ty your name okay you're going to jail you're not you're not going on let's go the officer wrapped up the investigation and took Madison outside to be handcuffed and taken to the county jail she thought she was going to have somewhat of a holiday but jail definitely isn't a place you switch your outfits every day Madison was charged with petty theft and contributed to the delinquency of a minor say that five times quick and that wraps up today's episode if you
