in a low speed zone upon taking a closer look they also noticed that the boarding ladder's been left out the boat driver is eating while steering and two of the passengers appear to be sleeping a late night call from a restaurant where one customer was attempting to leave without paying her bill which was a whopping $125 her friend arrived to settle the bill but demanded a refund even though they'd eaten everything already and caused a scene at the restaurant with both of them refusing to leave 2 days later one of the women involved recounts her version of events uh what property are you here to pick up um I think my debit card and my phone and my hair that I had on was I don't I don't know so tell me the circumstances of the arrest so I was with someone that I met down South Beach a female and she said do you know her name or no her name okay she said she was hungry I work as a she said she was hungry I went I purchased me and her food okay all of a sudden I don't know what she did but she was outside getting arrested and I was trying to help her because they were like throwing her on the ground and like being very abusive towards her out of here yeah I'm going to leave you going to leave when you leave I'll leave no no no no please please out go ahead get your out here no no no no hold on hold on you should always take everything you hear with a pinch of salt two people can often have wildly different accounts of the same event and while this woman claimed that she and her friend were abused by the police she failed to mention her friend's hostile disorderly behavior that night right now get out of here after refusing to leave the premises the two women harass the other C customers and staff one of them even went so far as to take a bite out of another customer's meal the cop swiftly took charge ordering them to leave or face serious consequences are you that's it don't abuse the woman she's drunk step back step back she's drunk back back up she's drunk back up she's drunk back up going she's drunk I'm not I promise you back up you're going to the thing is being drunk doesn't justify acting aggressively towards other people and police can't afford to take any chances even in the best of times it's it's hard to predict what a drunk person will do next and when it comes to drunks behaving combatively the cops simply can't risk their own safety or that of both in handcuffs both women started asking God for assistance God however did not send Angels down to save the women so perhaps a runin with the LW is precisely what God wanted them to experience to it won't won't surprise you to know that neither of them later appeared for their court date our next public nuisance is one of those unfortunate cases where wealthy parents raised a spoiled brat it all begins when police respond to a disturbance call from Sunset Grill a local restaurant a group of young people arrived and swore IT staff and patrons so there was a whole group of kids it was about like seven of them six or seven okay uh the guy driving the boat was really drunk here instead of us intervening cuz they were just not they were giving us all a hard time we called the cops on them but then they all went on their boat and the guy was apparently under the influence driving the boat the leader of this gang was drunk and aggressive after they left he even called the restaurant threatening them after some time the cops were able to identify the suspect it turns out he isn't unknown to the police in an attempt to track him down they headed to his home where they were met by neighbors who also have stories to tell they caused a huge scene at Sunset Grill you were there today yeah they uh apparently he has a fake ID he was drinking alcohol everyone he was with was drinking alcohol they're intoxicated so what I'm wondering is there's one vehicle in the driveway correct yes sir is that like the only vehicle they have here and this is his father's business car the h o okay and so I think his father said you're in trouble taking away your fancy car so he's definitely still on the boat they threatened a few people um they were under the influence they flipped off the cops um it caused a huge scene something's got to be done about and while we're sitting here maybe they'll pull up in the boat it's worth noting that the young man's registered place of residence is his wealthy father's house as they gather more information it's not long before they receed more reports of this guy threatening and terrorizing the neighborhood I'm glad we're not the only ones that have had an issue oh no you are like one of 20 there's there's a lot it is not just was afraid yeah I think he's just like a spoiled cat can get away with whatever he wants drinking well when you got runers across the street and they're harassing their kids girls I got a call about about them last night okay but I was all the way in Key West and as the cops and civilians busy themselves talking about the boy's long history of criminal Behavior a boat approaches playing obnoxiously loud music and just like the cop predicted earlier it was the unruly gang themselves that's I'm probably coming reckless driving report a police officer on night Patrol pulls over the Tesla driver responsible the female driver was allegedly not paying any attention to stop signs and driving way over the speed limit what the officer didn't expect is that the driver would take the opportunity to speed away the moment he stepped out of his vehicle hey hey the Tesla just took off [Music] [Music] turn off the vehicle turn off the vehicle when the officer catches up with her again he has no intention of playing nice after all it's hard to find sympathy for a driver when they demonstrate so little concern responded to a report of a suspected hidden run Witnesses reported seeing a car driving the wrong way on the highway and then colliding into a concrete median the cop soon detained a teenage girl in a parking lot and with obvious damage to her vehicle and displaying clear signs of intoxication things were not looking good for her do you feel good about this do you feel good about this do you feel while keeping her safe especially from herself the young lady was cited for three misdemeanors possession of alcohol by a minor driving under the influence and also hit and run our last incident today is a great example of how entitlement isn't always Brash loud or abusive on the 14th of April 2024 close to midnight an officer on patrol noticed a black Jeep Grand Cherokee which was speeding and even drifting over the white fog line after the cop turned on his emergency lights the female driver pulled over and parked the car in a nearby gas station so the reason why I stopped you you when you came into the circle you're going pretty fast and you uh you 40 40 miles okay well either way you're also going 60 on 66 which is a 50 um when you right as you pass my location you see me on the circle back there you drifted pretty hard to the right yeah and then and I noticed you too and then you crossed you crossed over the solid white line without using your turn signal I'm so sorry I'm supposed to well not not without using your turn signal I'm not I wasn't paying attention whether you use your turn signal or not but you can't cross over the solid white line until it becomes a dash line are you really yeah I'm so sorry I was as the officer further questions her it becomes clear she's missing some necessary documentation the woman also admits to having two drinks with friends before driving after briefly checking her past record and discovering a history of driving while under the influence the officer decides to do some standard field sobriety tests hop out for me sorry I didn't mean to scare you it's okay just hop on the back all right so back of the car sorry all good all right so here's the deal based off what I saw you driving he told me you had two drinks you're 20 years old you're not even supposed to be drinking um I want to run you through some field sobriety tests and we're we're going to take it from there okay I want to make sure you're good to drive yeah the suspect behaves sweetly and constantly tells officers she's sorry and while that level of compliance and respect definitely makes the officer's job easier it doesn't change the fact that no amount of apologizing or playing innocent can excuse reckless driving and other violations of basic traffic law so first test I'm going to do is uh test check your eyes all right so do you wear glasses or contacts or anything I wear glasses but I don't have them with me right now okay um how bad no they're not that bad just reading do you have any injuries anything like that that perfect or affect your vision or your ability to follow no okay so what I want you to do here is you see the top of my pen where I'm tapping the the button end I want you to follow it with your eyes and your eyes only okay do not move your head do you understand yes sorry no you're good after several minutes of the pinest even though she didn't perform awfully the officer noticed some uncontrolled eye but you didn't do great and you're 20 years old not 21 sorry I figed so unfortunately going be placing you under arrest for driving law okay this young lady's been very compliant throughout and she humbly accepts her fate the interaction is so cordial that it balanced out the seriousness of the case but when it comes to the law on DWI why there can't be any wiggle room because these violations can seriously endanger lives just turn around put your hands behind your back is there any way to avoid that unfortunately no um it's well we can handle it inside just get got to get you a ride it's a traffic violation realistically unfortunately not here this is it you are being 20 years old the legal limit for you is zeros right if if you were 21 I might be able to blur the line a little bit but unfortunately you're underage and it's kind of dead to right to DWI it's zero alcohol and you have signs of impairment bed it's not too tight right is the car going to be here the car is I'll explain everything but the car is unfortunately going to be towed that is my uncle's um just just ease up he's got a tighten cuffs all right we'll explain everything to you all right this car be left here driving while intoxicated arrest the car has to be towed okay so that's that is the law It's Not Unusual for lots of suspects to have multiple questions or even to bargain whether politely or impolitely it's especially common for people who are having their first runin with law enforcement but as the lead officer is about to discover this is not exactly this lady's first rodeo [Applause] she looks cuz she's got a prior 450 and several other intoxicated calls so she's probably drinks a lot and probably can at least psycho like phys physically wise yeah all right she definitely she definitely failed the um walk and turn it was like a soft fail yeah she stepped out of place and missed like a heel to toe and raised her arms a little bit she missed the Heel To Toe she she fell out prior um used her arms turn she turned improperly yeah um wasn't the worst she stopped kind of yeah in the end the officer was lucky enough to bring this underage girl into custody without any trouble
