Deputy Van Slottton, accompanied by Officer Nelson Cannon, conducts field sobriety tests on Stevenson after he begs to be spared. However, after having done field sobriety and preliminary breath test, PBT, Stevenson's condition was obvious. Hands down your side. Counting out loud each step. 1 1,00 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 pivot. Jesus Christ. I'm I'm I I know I know the situation I'm putting you in. I give me a try to help me out, man. I can't go to jail for 1950. Seriously, Nice. Mhm. And good. Obviously, Stevenson pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle while visibly impaired. The prosecution dropped the charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was fined $1,030, which he promptly paid. Additionally, the judge ordered Stevenson to one-year probation, including attending a victim impact panel, completing a drug and alcohol highway safety awareness program, undergoing preliminary breathalyzer tests, abstaining from alcohol, and avoiding establishments serving alcohol by the glass. If you think he was the only cop who got caught drunk, then you aren't aware of this next case. All right, just let me stay here. You can't. I'm going to ask you nicely to step out of this vehicle. Brian, my hands are tied. If I let you go, I'm going to lose my career over you. You don't think I wouldn't? This is Lieutenant Brian Philippia from the Washington County Sheriff's Office. On November 13th, 2016, Officer Philippia was pulled over by the side of the road in Mont Morreny County, Michigan. He was going over the legal limit as he had allegedly crossed over 90 mph. During the traffic stop, the deputy suspects the use of alcohol on him. Watch how the situation unfolds. Can I see your license? Stretch proof. [Music] Okay. You got your ID, Department ID, and your driver's license. Reason why I'm stopping you is we got multiple reckless driving calls about you. Okay. And then when I'm calling you, you're hitting the shoulder of the road. You've been drinking. How many? Just a couple. Okay. What are you reaching in the back for? I seen you reaching in the back. You have an open container back there. Okay. You've been drinking on the way here. Just going registration, proof of insurance. Do you have a firearm on you? Okay. Do you got your pistol? Are you a corrections officer or just deputy? Lieutenant. Okay. Brian, I'm going to have you step out of the car. I'm going to do field test for you. Okay. I'm with the campers. Oh, past Hawks. I have no clue where that's at. Never heard of it. Okay. Well, I'm going to ask you to step out of the vehicle. What would you like me to do? Uh, just let me I can't I had multiple phone calls. You'd be in the same situation if I was in the vehicle in your county. Correct. Um, I don't know. But I've got multiple 91 calls about a reckless driver in all matches, almost hitting vehicles. I get behind you, you're you hit the shoulder of the road twice. All right. Just let me stay here. You can't. I'm going to ask you nicely to step out of this vehicle. Brian, my hands are tied. If I let you go, I'm going to lose my career over you. You don't think I wouldn't? No. This is Northern Michigan. We are a small department. Okay. I'm going to ask you nicely to step out of the vehicle. You know, I I have my job to do. You know that. Yeah. However, Philippia expects special treatment for being a cop. No. Hold on, guys. One more time. Step out of the vehicle. No. One more time. You're going to get a taser. No. Can we talk about it? Fipiac remains in denial of committing anything wrong while resisting and not following the officer's commands. Observe how the corrupt lieutenant reacts when the deputy asks him if he is willing to perform field sobriety tests. No, I'm not on your side. If you're on my side, you let me just go. No, I'm doing my job. You know that. Yeah. And I'm doing my job, too. Okay. So, if you're not going to do field sprite, that's turn around, place your hands in your back. You're under arrest. Even after being arrested, Philippia kept resisting and repeatedly asked the deputy to favor him. He was initially charged with a misdemeanor for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of 0.17 or more. During the internal investigation, Philippia was placed on unpaid administrative leave. He remained employed on a conditional basis, fulfilling a support role with reduced compensation as reported by the department. If you think he was the only drunk cop resisting arrest, wait until you watch this next case. I haven't admitted that I'm drinking. No, you did up there at the car. You said you had a couple drinks. You have loaded firearm in the car. On top of all of this, I'm asking you to have a seat while I investigate this OVI and everything else that's involved. All right, Ken, I know. All right, call I can call somebody. One of your brothers from the apartment. Anyone? anyone. I don't want to have anybody. Gouchi resorted to striking the cruiser with the handcuffs, leading to the necessity of physical restraint. Upon complying and entering the cruiser, Gouchi, according to Sergeant Sergeant, began striking the partition multiple times. Eventually, he ceased after consistent advisories. The resulting damages included numerous scratches inside and outside the cruiser. Okay. All right, buddy. Calm down. Have a seat. Let's have a seat for now. Have a seat. Ken, you're good. Ken. Ken. Following this, Gouchi was transported to Ohio State Patrol 22 for a chemical test, revealing a reading of.169 g of alcohol per 210 L of breath. Sergeant informed Gouchi of his suspension, and after the test, he was smoothly taken to jail without incident. Gauchi faced charges of OVI, improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, vandalism, and speeding. Gauchi will be subject to a 30-day suspension with 20 of those days being unpaid. Additionally, he will forfeit 10 vacation days. As part of the disciplinary measures, Gouchi is required to consult with a behavioral health professional providing a release for administrative monitoring of his compliance. Moreover, Gouchi is mandated to complete 40 hours of unpaid community service within one year. Initially, it should have been a usual traffic stop, but things took a somber twist when officers from Farmington police suspected Officer Chiangi of driving under the influence of alcohol. Hi. Hey, how are you? What's up? What's going on, man? Hello. How you doing? How are you? I'm okay. How are you? Good. How are you? I'm all right. Jangi did not pass a roadside sobriety test and was subsequently charged with driving under the influence. Additionally, he received a ticket for violating a stop sign. Following the charges, he was released on a $2,500 bond. It is astonishing to see cops getting caught drunk while being aware of the laws and being enforcers of it.
