to his face on the 1st of September 2023 Atlanta police officers received reports of an auto accident when they arrived at the scene they found the male passenger Samuel Smith in handcuffs and asked his wife Patricia Smith for some sort of explanation she explained that her husband had been handcuffed by a cop at the club they were coming from this led them to 49-year-old Terrence Jax out of there this is what happened is I would bet money on who took the handcuffs off I don't know yo whose car is this huh whose car is this hey how did he want up in handcuffs love he how did he want up in handcuffs sorry we just left the strip club which strip club peaches okay I got you over on RDA yeah I got you okay did you guys get into security over there yeah sir I don't know I don't know okay all I know is that's my husb got you say I'm going grab your I don't know when the officers arrived at the club they found Jax in a police vest with a badge radio and handgun he also had blue lights and police decals on his sedan and claimed to be working with Homeland Security okay that's fine what's this 1306 radio likey car what you work for Homeland okay um did y'all have some [ __ ] up here a little bit ago male and female get into it with anybody yeah left in a pair of handcuffs yeah all right what was the story with that uh they were just drunk all right and um whose handcuffs is he wearing mine he took off he jumped in the SUV and took off yep I me it's Metro to fair so like almost down to 166 MH wiped out real hard hurt some people hurt themselves all right here's what I want you to do for me okay here what I'm going do I'm going to take your fire on my your side okay okay you got uh just Sera here yeah all right place that in my car I'm going to detain you for right now okay all right right now you are not under R you're just being detained for the further investigation here do you have a key to your handcuffs uh in the car keys in the car yeah who's the radio through uh eBay nobody okay it's not a Homeland radio no okay uh hang out of this for a minute okay I'm going to have you have a seat in my car for a minute okay but never registered it the the the license plate is off of a bluebird school bus from uh from Tucker Georgia that's how he got a GB Tag Radio check this thing that's PA is it just a scanner the jacket in the in the back seat is just a regular old uh rain coat it doesn't say police on it got it beautiful put this in the bag with all the other evidence cuz that's going to be evidence also don't have it didn't take long for the Atlanta officers to realize that Jax was a fraud and soon the arrestor became the arrested Jax was charged with impersonating a public officer and taken to Fulton County Jail there are other people out there who are even more committed to the process of impersonation people like Jeremy Kirk independent investigator sir what does that bad say it says I'm an ARS investigator would you like to read it sir okay so you're you're you're not with any law enforcing agency no but you're wearing a badge like you are well ided yourself to the sheriff as arson investigator I'm sorry sir you ided yourself as arson investigator right where that radio go to it's Adam radio it's Awin radio where did you get a a win radio at I'm with Adam as well what Adam Arkansas Department of Emergency Management you work for them I'm a volunteer for them yes sir who's the supervisor over that they know you're working wearing that radio while you're working your private job serving civil papers yes sir they know you're using that radio yes sir they do yes sir Adam yes sir we're going to find out all that okay step out and step to the back here sure on February 8th 2019 detective dillian of the Loke County Sheriff's Office saw black Dodge Ram activate emergency lights and speed recklessly through traffic detective dillian noted the peculiarity of the situation and quickly initiated a traffic stop with the driver who was later identified as Jeremy Kirk contact Adam and see if they know who this guy is he says he's a volunteer with them he's got a A1 radio where did you get the A1 radio from Adam you tell me that they know that you're doing this yes you're out serving civil papers using our radio running lights and sirens didn't know he was behind you did you you're not law enforcer you understand that right yes I don't have blue lights either you're right you don't have blue lights but you're driving crazy down the middle of the road that's not an emergency to go serve civil papers okay this is one of this is our guy who serves our civil papers did you do that okay they're riding you some tickets and we're going to go to court and we're there's other things we're going to do here okay you got handcuffs in there too mhm what the handcuffs for uh they're from what are they for they're a theft deterrent a theft deterrent yep what does theft deterr mean well it'll keep somebody from breaking into my truck hopefully that's the thought you correct okay so you're saying carrying handcuffs to your truck means that they won't break into your truck so you're you're making it look like it's a law enforcement truck so they won't break into it if if you walked up to break that window and break in and you saw that would you break you up I'm not a criminal but yeah I'd steal your handcuffs and steal your guns okay is there guns in there no anything else in there that that I'd e yourself as a law enforcement officer nope certified what fire and explosion investigator mhm and you're wearing a badge to serve papers and says that mhm I think you're trying to ID yourself and come off as a law enforcement officer no that's what it looks like to me why would you wear an ARS investigator badge to serve civil papers you got to ride to remain silent anything you say can we be used against your court Kirk had several law enforcement equipment in his car from handcuffs to batons to dash cams and Radars he claimed he was an independent civil paper server and later that he worked for Adam it was however learned that he had been banned from serving papers and was only an in the car put him in a car and that motorcycle has that t who is this guy Andor oh that's Jeremy right there on September 7th 2019 officer ogl Tre observed a black and gray motorcycle driving in the wrong lane it was only after initiating a stop that he would realize that the guy he pulled over Jeremy deit was guilty of more than just a traffic violation I Sergeant my vehicle's not stolen Sergeant I can tell you right now everything's being videotaped on my body Camp Sergeant okay you're that's not a firearm Sergeant let's go that's a less lethal Sergeant so legally for the per Florida able to get my lights down you're running red lights yes I ran a red light two of them what's going on you you're not a police officer man I know that in kyoga Falls Ohio a police officer observed a car run two red lights at high speed a traffic stop was initiated and the interaction unfolded quickly with the occupants of the vehicle later identified as Shawn Whitaker and Dwayne Jordan F you're going to come out first okay are you armed all right just step out and face away from me all right problem hey man you guys aren't police officers you can't run I didn't say I you can't be running red lights dog and then when lights and siren means stop and I keep going I didn't hear why am I being you're being detained right now cuz your buddy didn't stop all right I got you you have a conceal a firearm in a motor vehicle but fake cops aren't always older people who get badges on eBay sometimes they are 18-year-olds who have nothing better to do got talk to her for a minute how you doing you know to be f for anybody and he's got lights car and everything he's got a p right here too and and I'm and I'm standing and I'm look at this one looks weird he gives me his name and I double check it with the ring plate and it comes back to him and he's got lights on too on the plate I'm here come back he first told me he was born in '94 when I checked the plates he was born in 2001 and I double checked with MVD his his oil in comes back to 2001 um I had him s sitting back in my car cuz it was kind of weird to me and right now when I was getting out he was like hey let me talk to you again he like no I'm not a cop I just bought this badge online and he has lights and everything 54 to car because he said it was going like 120 on so he's not a bcso employee at all no but we're going to have bcso come out anyways just cuz he's impersonating the bcso and he got looked like the bcso badge do you have him detain now yeah he's in okay just cuz like I don't know who you are you don't have anything other than a badge you don't even have an ID on it so that's where we're are right now okay I haven't V him his rights or anything he just told me that statement I his pry well so if you want to come with me we're going to handcuff him cuz right now he's not handcuffed I just had him set in the car okay yeah cuz at that point I was still trying to figure it out and had a hey step out enforcement if it gets him to his destination quickly enough I'm see LIC insurance so for the stops we're getting calls saying that you were flashing people with red and blue lights and doing about 90 sir do you have lights installed in the vehicle no I had a radar I have a radar detector I don't have it on there we're from Austin Texas um Insurance here and what about just the registration is that it some gas and they go up he catches up to me and I'm like this is weird so then it keeps going and I'm taking phone calls I run a couple companies now I left PD in 14 I've been doing my own right that's all of our Dream right yeah exactly so my side gigs turned into some so I'm answer phone calls I bought this car for my son you know I'm driving to Utah to go visit my daughter just chill I got nowhere to be yeah just hanging out kilo man I'm like chill but this dude keeps following me and doing weird and I'm like I don't like this then he passes me and he's like this with he had he put red and blue lights on like he's got I think the little Center Mount on his Dash in his oh okay he had the the angled ones that that snug up to the lens like when I was undercover that's what I had and he was like you know BL I'm looking at the lights I'm looking behind me I was like is that a is that a 34 that's a cop what am I what is he talking about I'm like so I pull over and he gets alongside me and goes like this like pump the brakes or what yeah like full you've been driving speeding passing doing the same thing the whole time yeah yeah then my next move was just going to be sto on the side of the road and I didn't have it let him have it thing right mhm but then I was like dude something ain't right dude it's not sitting right with me yeah and so if he's going to like use his lights or use lights and he's not a cop I'm I'm like kind of what of my daughter's driving through here and yeah I know you know what I mean but if your mom or you know what I mean like that's how my brain start working and I'm like this okay call yeah cuz you know what I mean none of us really want to be that dude but it's like I don't I was uncomfortable by yeah if he's 30 if he's uh if he's law enforcement and checks out great I don't think he is so that's weird yeah yeah after listening to the concerned ex cop on what the issue was Deputy greo started talking to the suspect and if nothing else the guy's evasiveness was more than enough to give his guilt away so what did you have mounted right here I have I used to have radar DET okay so where did that go cuz you just had something mounted up here no I I used to have one up there okay I don't have one why would we be receiving complaints that somebody's saying that you were flashing red and blues at them flashing red and blues I don't have red and blues at sir you don't have any so so they're so they're just seeing stuff that's not me sir I'm not fly with I have kids in my car okay we're going to Colorado so so this is what we got we got we got a complaint from an individual saying that a black Tahoe with a grill in front of it Texas slic male with a long beard and cowboy hat with a dog in the back came up behind him and flashed red and blues at him this vehicle looks like a police vehicle right yes sir would you would you agree with me with that I agree with you okay so why would he and then he said that it was mounted in the center of your dash right below your mirror where you previously had something mounted right happen I'm just saying that's exactly where he's saying that it was mounted right yes sir and so if if I'm driving down the road do you think that I'm going to pay any mind to suction cups in the middle of somebody's vehicle how would I how would I how would I know that you ever had anything mounted there unless something drew my attention to that specific location right so do you just want to be honest with me or or what's going on I don't have it I don't have anything that's I used to have my radar detector well seems fairly easy to take something down from there and so if I was somebody that was doing that I would be worried about impersonating law enforcement officer and if I have anything mounted up to it I would just take it down the seriousness of impersonating a police officer right is the fact that we have individuals do that and then commit pretty outrageous crimes on individuals right and so that's why I'm taking it so serious this again this vehicle looks like a police vehicle right the windows are dark and tinted we have a brush guard on the front it's a it's a Tahoe like every other agency drives right and so it'd be very easy to have something mounted to make others believe that you're some form of law enforcement and if it's just for the mere reason of like hey sometimes they's slow driv and I like to just hit red and blues and get them out of my way then okay Roger I got it right but at the same time it's just not lining up I'm I'm not tracking with everything that you're saying today but you're not going to jail for impersonating a place offer so you are going to receive a criminal summons so can bail you but if you think Kirk's can get to trouble they don't have authority to put you in Cuts yeah so he told you he had a warrant before you gave him your information yeah and then did he ask you for your name and your date of birth and all that you gave it to him and then did he ever put you in the back of his car no it was a truck there his truck yeah did he explor it was an explorer was it green one what Authority do you have as a bail Recovery Agent to put somebody in handcuffs and restrain them and arrest them I never arrested them you don't have the paperwork from the I mean that could easily be a citizen's arrest trying to figure out who who yall with or what was going on the man in the car is Jareds Mackey who was allegedly seen flashing emergency lights in a police cruiser and was dressed in full cop outfit
