where idiot cops get caught planting drugs during arrests for our first case we take you to Baltimore where cop is about to plant drugs to frame innocent Street dwellers this incident happened in January 2018 in Baltimore bolt boss would you just get off Eagle Street this is your way of going home okay [Applause] this was the moment when the body cam footage was cut the prosecutors are alleging that this was the moment when the officer decided to plant drugs or talked with his fellow officer about doing so it shows an officer placing a soup can which holds a plastic bag into a trash strewn lot the officer can then be seen walking to the street where he flips on his body camera when the video resumes the officer is seen searching through the trash for something suspicious this is the first red flag how did the officer know where to look you might be wondering why the first 30 seconds of this part have no audio this is because police cameras have a feature that saves 30 seconds of video prior to activation but without audio [Music] foreign not yet the police officer then arrested the person involved in this incident who has been in jail since January 2018 on a 50 000 bail that he was unable to pay the video which has been called troubling by a spokeswoman for the Baltimore State's Attorney's office is currently under investigation by Internal Affairs of the Baltimore Police Department the man's attorney Deborah Levi who is leading a new effort to track police misconduct cases for the public defender's office expressed her concern that prosecutors called the officer as a witness in another case just Days Later without disclosing the allegations to the defense attorney in that case the cop involved in this case is under investigation while the wrongly accused victim has been released from jail next up we take you to Sunnyside Orange County Virginia where two co-workers have been stopped by Troopers for tinted windows but soon the officers decide to conduct a sudden drug test here is how the invent unfold hold it thank you marijuana's marijuana oh yeah okay well can I see that sure did you see words separated so what I'm looking for is clear on the bottom dark on the top like it is all right some marijuana's marijuana uh it was all found in the passenger foil board so I'm going to charge you with possession of marijuana all right [Music] that's good [Music] did you stop it you want to keep going for those who may have missed it at 10 20 the cop searching the passenger side appears to have planted the weed this becomes evident when the cop searching the trunk finishes goes straight to his testing kit and then back to the passenger seat where the other cop was he not only finds the weed that the first cop supposedly missed but also has his kit already in hand as if he knew he would find something in that exact spot in the car it's a curious sequence of events that raises questions about what really happened the citizens got charged with the possession of marijuana but when they submitted this video to the police authorities their charges were dropped both this whole process cost them fifteen hundred dollars in lawyer fees as well for our next case we take you to the Village of Caledonia in Wisconsin where a cop has randomly stopped a driver of color for a traffic check officers quickly proceeded to arrest the driver before finding anything suspicious in the car here is how it all happened corner cut [Applause] what's that what's that what's what word I got you on camera we're all good hey bro you just threw that in here yeah because it was in his pocket and I don't want to hold on to it that's on their body Cam that they took it off of them so yeah I'm telling you where it came from so it's an empty baggie at the moment too so okay buddy after careful analysis you can see the officer throwing a bag at 2 minutes 12 seconds it was not until the passenger started throwing a tantrum that the police officer said that it was an empty bag and there was nothing in it but it appears that the officer became cautious after he knew the passenger was recording him officers throwing an empty bag and then spreading some specks of marijuana were a few pills of drugs is the most common way of planting drugs but due to the front seat passengers sharp observation the officer quickly recanted and stopped doing anything kudos to the passenger for his Keen observation the driver who was arrested was also released soon after this body cam footage was surfaced next up we have four cops in Baltimore who have stopped a car at a traffic stop the suspects under investigation consist of two people of color the cops are tearing apart the car hoping to find something worth incriminating man is this car registered and released in your name is at least in your name [Applause] whose phone is this it's yours okay let me do the back of this you do the Trump Keith yeah on the spare tire is your license in here everything the cops so far have been unable to find any drugs or firearms that can be used to incriminate the suspects and this is where it gets interesting the cops turn off their body cam footage and turn it on after 30 whole minutes and let's see what's the first thing they say when one of the cops turns on the camera [Music] one of the officers turns on the body Cam and is quickly reminded by the other officer that he was not supposed to this is a clear violation of the cops methodology where they're not allowed to turn their body cam off during the search and arrest this only indicates one thing the officers were planning on doing something illegal that they didn't want others to know about anybody check this compartment here yet well here you go oh yeah oh yeah oh my God knew it I thought they were freaking out that's the weed smell right there too there you go oh these are like little fives yeah these little small bags I'm gonna go hot just for this recovery and everything yeah yeah all right up and off because I wasn't obviously hiding so yeah okay we're good uh don't kill you have me all nervous you want to call and make sure they know [Applause] yeah Reach Out reach up man I'm still I'm still going by the way are you still on yeah okay there are so many things wrong with this body cam footage first of all how did the officer know where to check notice that he instantly says did you check this compartment right here at one minute 40 seconds and it only means one thing he knew he was going to find drugs there and of course he was going to he planted the drugs himself secondly all of the cops were looking at the officer who found the drugs how did they know he was going to find something everything points to one common element the drugs were planted that explains to him being on his side yeah that's that's definitely the bag no I think I have early took credit for being an idiot I think that's everything notice that all of the cops appear in a merry mood when they find the drugs in there they also seem to be enjoying themselves laughing and cracking mild jokes in between the search as soon as this body cam footage was released an investigation was launched and the charges against the suspects were dropped however the names of the officers were not released and it is not clear whether they were relieved from their duties or not it remains to be seen whether the cops get jailed for their fraudulent activities or not for our final clip of today's episode let's take a look at a case from Florida that involves a cop who seems to have a habit of planting drugs in innocent people's cars on the 15th of February at approximately 4 16 p.m Teresa Odom was stopped by Deputy Zach Wester other officers were also present on the scene as backup officer Wester had allegedly stopped Odom's car because her brake lights were out of order but it soon becomes clear that the traffic stop was just a ruse for officer wester's real motive his real motive was to plant drugs in the unsuspecting woman's car let's see what happens next how are you yeah me too Odom steps out of her car and comes over to where the other Deputy is standing he tells her to wait by the sheriff's car as officer Wester goes over to begin the search Odom complies and the other Deputy stands with her Odom is completely at ease because she has nothing to hide and chit chat with the officers I said if you find any money I come up missing five dollars at the hospital I kid you not damn sure would like to have it back Odom continues to chat with the deputy standing with her as officer Wester goes to the other side of the car and searches the passenger side Odom is relaxed and carefree because she thinks this is a routine stop little did she know what was about to happen next [Applause] at 5 minutes 13 seconds you can see the cop rearranging the woman's stuff in the passenger seat this is when he intentionally planted methamphetamine in Odom spoon which she used for eating yogurt here is what happened when officer Wester decided to confront Odom about this sure no sir I'm not going to ask you for a question I'm gonna read you your rights first okay so just hang up what is it I have an idea okay just making a phone call she's calling her daughter is that right do you have anything else I said I didn't have anything on me in the truck oh okay but do you have anything on your purse is right nothing on me to my knowledge at all I'm not trying to be good it did return for something positive for methamphetamine okay look I just got pulled over and caught in there all right I went down to see George because I had um a bad check that was given to me by somebody was living at eight dots I come through the lot I get pulled over all right the deputy asked if he could search my truck I told him yes he may search my truck he sees I don't know God knows what he goes around to the other side he's going to open and he comes back with a spoon which is what I used to eat my yogurt with and in the spoon there is laying a little bitty like I guess a little tiny bag he says it tests positive for methamphetamine so I guess I'm gonna go to jail and it damn sure ain't mine and nobody's been in my truck with me sorry for the embarrassment but I assure you if it was mine too [Applause] call Robert and tell him and just as damn sure as I'm out trying to take care of my business this is crazy I ain't even looked at No Doubt believe that I'm sorry and I was sure looking forward to keeping Anna in the morning I don't know nothing else to do messages okay the email baby okay message from the dad and tell her what I'm telling you okay and why they're doing this I have no idea I'm looking at somebody his last name is h-u-y-k-e and the officer that pulled me over that said he pulled me over because my brakes work sometime and sometimes they don't work is Western he said his name [Applause] well okay I assure you is God crazy and I'm sorry for the embarrassment I don't know nothing else to tell you but I guess I'm going to jail um if you want to come up if you would like to come and get my wallet it don't even matter at this point baby just take care of my house okay if you can nothing um what about my truck tell what locations is a Narcotics felony arrest okay they saying they're going to tow my truck baby can she get my purse and stuff when I get yeah baby oh just look showing your bird's not gonna help Mama not one bit do you understand I need you baby it's not like I do this on purpose I assure you yeah I'm promising you this is not my drugs that they found in my truck and I probably should have just waited on a dog to search but I did I try to cooperate you know and he's still looking in my cigarettes I mean he looked at my cookies ain't looking in my Bible there's two tickets up there baby food that's got to be taken care of in 30 days okay I love you to the jail [Applause] Odom was put into handcuffs and escorted to the police car later she was wrongfully charged for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia but karma was about to strike officer Wester had a history of such arrests and in each of them the victims were absolutely stunned when he showed them the drugs he supposedly found in their cars that's what made Christina Pumphrey of the state attorney's office suspicious she opened up an internal investigation on officer Wester and sure enough body cam footage never matched with the arrests finally officer Wester was charged with felony counts of racketeering official misconduct fabricating evidence possession of a controlled substance and false imprisonment he was found guilty on all charges and sentenced to 12 and a half years in prison we can definitely say he got what was coming to him after all the lives he ruined in his career
