my son just had a wreck and you arrested me in front of him I you put me in cuffs in front of my I oh no you didn't he saw it all I will talk to m k about this America May Keller oh just so you know okay okay da I5 55 and a 35 okay authority figures like police Chiefs and politicians try to abuse their power more often than You' think when caught breaking the law they'll sometimes bully intimidate and manipulate officers to avoid facing the consequences however abuse of power shouldn't have any room in our society and that's why the world gets a little bit better when good police officers humiliate corrupt higher authority come put me in the yes put the mayor in the back seat on the 8th of October 2022 in Fort Wayne Indiana police pulled over a car that was suspected of being driven by someone under the influence the cops were stunned when they realized that the reckless driver was the city mayor Tom Henry who was driving home with his wife and mother-in-law where did you guys you said it was a fundraiser oh yeah Pacific Theater Pacific Theater yeah and I took I took our mother-in-law home and we coming back and I probably went around the damn traffic circle and too wide and hit somebody siing me I got you you were driving then yeah I it is what it is I got you damn traffic circles I love them but I hate them yeah they're not much fun no they're not ESP especially when you go too wide and somebody comes in to S and you knock off your re my wife went nuts WIP out on that she said you've been drinking too much I said oh for God sake who's stealing my car H who's stealing my is it my car okay it's your car I just going to say who's stealing my car the mayor here remained polite admitting that he'd hit someone's side view mirror and mentioning drinking behind the w whe half jokingly his first move was to build rapport with the officers while downplaying the seriousness of his crimes being the politician that he is you can tell the man's very charismatic with how he makes small talk but the question is is it going to help him get off the hook I think she was going straight and I was going I think that's what happened either I was going straight and she was going around or I was going around she was going straight I can't those two whatever it was I hit sing there I got you ah God Dam it there she is right there my wife you see it D she a pretty lady no stay over here for me just hang out here just safer for you to stay right here stay still in one spot all right we have quite a few accidents on roundabouts not down here Wonder with Marty with Marty vendor I I ask him from time to time you know building always roundabout how many of them are really effective I've been to like one maybe oh really the mayor was primarily concerned about getting his wife who had medical issues home it also sounded like y ly blame the traffic circle as the cops continued their investigation the mayor began to lose patience and then tried it seems to assert his authority let's get this thing we're just waiting for my sergeant to get down here I understand let's let's get the sergeant moving I'm serious he's he's he's on his way I don't give a it is let's I got a wife who's serious medical problems I can't SC this what's the problem who's the quadrant leader for this area quadrant leader tonight it's Sergeant you the deputy chief Asner Asner Steve yeah he's the deputy chief for is he on duty no you're doing what you need I understand obviously when you get a family there I got you actually I'm I'm more I'm more afraid of my wife AR we all his wife required an injection soon and he was understandably quite concerned about her welfare however by driving Under the Influence he placed her in serious danger too trying to get her home in time for her shot oh goting I'm getting hi honey right behind who is Honey okay we have police what pleas I pulled up on it she said my car is not city car is not driving your car is not that's what she says okay let's go take no hang out here for me is Hey sir up here NOP I just need you to hang out here for me there we go just hang out right here I don't want you getting hit by car as they waited for the sergeant the mayor got more aggravated and really wanted to get his wife back home finally the sergeant arrived on scene and the mayor hoped he'd take his side okay we'll we'll we'll get her home no no that's don't worry about that that's not nothing to do with this I was just in a hurry all right let's do our thing just big deep breath and blow probably 4.0 no you'd be dead if it was 4.0 I know I know sir I do appreciate your cooperation no we have to do what do [Music] i56 that's about twice about twice yeah get yep go ahead you have to do to drive a car the legal limit of blood alcohol concentration is 008 and as the mayor corrects guessed he was almost two times over the limit testing over 0.15 in fact may have added a further charge to his case but at this point the primary concern of both the officers and the mayor was getting his wife home safely do you want someone to come pick you up are you able to I'm sorry do you want someone to come pick you up instead of me giving you a ride I don't understand the question why do you want me to be there no I'm just asking as a courtesy that way you don't have to see a you're riding a police car so totally up to you I'm grateful at this point I'm not feeling well okay all right I I would like to Mom and I were supposed to go to Chicago in the morning and it's getting late so okay I'd be I'm very grateful if you could okay cuz the only thing is you'd have to ride in the cage so that's why I'm asking pretty disgusting it's not just it's just not the most Pleasant so um one of you will have to sit in a cage and then I can make room in my friend which is just not the most comfortable that's why I said if you want who would pick us up I don't know that's why I'm asking if you have a ride if you I mean it's a large family so all different things um now that transportation for his wife was arranged the cops face the awkward task of escorting the city mayor into a squad car mayor Henry was shocked to learn that his own City's police force were unwilling to offer him any preferential treatment have a seat for me you're going to actually take me in we're working through we're we're waiting to see right now you're just being detained can you please have a seat you helping or you good no no I'm looking at your name it's asplin it'll be on all the paperwork I'm sorry asplin Asin I understand what you do I just want to know I apologize don't worry I'm just happy to be going home all right it looks fine in theend it's not it's not it's it's really clean it just there it's not supposed to be fishy is it no it's not unfortunately once the mayor was detained the cops started to worry about potential repercussions while they'd all been nothing but respectful and professional they were paranoid at this point that their livelihoods might be at risk given they just arrested a powerful man I'll go with you I'm not taking this I'll go with you and help I'm not taking this oh I don't joint partnership this is me getting fired is what it is uh yep I'm right there with you he's asked my name like three times I'm going to get fired and so are all of you so it's been nice working with you it's been a good three years I might as well start looking for departments now go back to school I will I'm going to walk through this with you um obviously we're all in the same here no he's he's in this car handcuff yes we handcuff behind him yes he told them okay if I was if he's good that's good okay I just he's not he's not good with it he doesn't want to be handcuffed he doesn't want to be in the car so and he's already threatening us yeah leave it the way it is now okay I was going to do it a little bit differently but the officers here have valid concerns but to fire these officers the mayor of course would need some kind of just calls for their dismissal the footage from their body cameras might help in preventing the officers from unfairly Los losing their jobs however the May are vow to make their lives difficult in the future so at this point they've got every right to still not feel at ease [Music] mayat that's fine I just cannot believe that handcuff the city it's one thing you know to to talk to me about these handcuffs break them you have to go handcuff okay what we're going to do is we're do the Handcuff to the front we going take a CO where's the chief I just spoke chief chief I got to do my job and we already spoke about this okay what we do front but we need your cooperation sir are recording you are recording everything the mayor was cooperative but also desperate to talk to the police chief an incident like this one could be incredibly damaging for his reputation particularly when he runs for reelection so he might have been trying to coax the police chief into making sure none of this gets out to the public after getting handcuffed from the front he was now ready to head to the station you know how it is Sir that's how we got to do it all right you got to do what you got to do right you're good just swing your feet in just put your feet in I'm sitting here yeah just put your feet in your feet yep who talk who talk to the team I did Sir I need to know who this wilin officer sergeant wils and we're doing the we're doing walking through this we got to walk through this my wife we have she on the way home godamn sake way home we get you out of here in the state of Indiana a driver who's impaired is required to spend a certain number of hours in a jail cell and the length of time is determined based on the results of their breathalyzer test the mayor however seemed unwilling to follow the rules of his own setting according to State wall requ you have to set a minimum of what your com back to okay is 6 hours minutes and there's nothing we can do 11:47 my wife her wife do your do you know have Steve get hold of me now the mayor could not excuse the fact that he'd been drunk driving so instead he focused his anger on the issue of his wife being prevented from going home which of course wasn't true before the mayor got into his jail cell things got incredibly heated you have to stay here you want me to call your wife and let her know how long no have call Steve have them get here now as an order I will this is what I'm I'm call I'm saying call is right now I will let him either either either Steve gets here or Steve gets here now sir you got I don't care what time it is Sor you got I will thank you I just for circumstan I here now okay I iar you thank you thank you despite his attempts to evade the law the mayor was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and endangering a person and operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalent to 0.15 or more he also had to pay a $3,000 fine court costs and restitution to the city and also to the driver of the car stre Ro however his sense of entitlement is nowhere near as Extreme as our next suspect on the 8th of February 2022 in Albuquerque New Mexico police were dispatched to a car crash on a busy road one of the drivers had been involved in an earlier accident but fled the scene and was possibly responsible for both accidents the cops first checked on the safety of everyone and then began investigating just what happened this gentleman saying she was trying to run and stuff what's that vehicle that took off so she hit me and make Drive okay I my phone with police coming up here just H up with them and then she just ran into him here fleeing from me from McDonald's I may have her on camera and everything there go ahead is there anybody that's hurt my neck I took a to okay that's fine go and sit take a seat for me right here go ahead and take a seat for me that's nice go ahead and take a seat for me police questioned the female driver who supposedly was the cause of both of the accidents she appeared deeply distressed and not fully aware of what was happening along with her erratic Behavior according to the criminal complaint there was also the smell of alcohol on the woman's breath my daughter's affirmative she's here go and have a seat for me no it's my daughter in there I don't know where your daughter is but we could check was your daughter with you no okay then no big deal just have a seat for me can I just turn off my car all I'll have an I don't want you back I work with AC Willow okay that's nice no no just have a seat for my grandmother died okay I'm sorry to hear that no please let me gra it out here you need to sit down you need to sit down and my grandmother died right now Michelle right now we're investigating crash okay so just have a seat for me you just you're not listening go sit down the woman Michelle Curtis tried to communicate that she worked for highly important people in the city at the time of the crime she'd been an active spokesperson for the coalition to stop violence against native women and the missing and murdered indigenous women and relatives or mmiw for short this was not the standard of behavior you'd expect from people who are working for either organization she hit me and then when she in contact with me when I got off the vehicle to speak I wish no she started yelling at me and then fled into the actually sliding back this is see for me Michelle NOP no why not you know why Michelle what's your date of birth I'm not telling you you're not telling me okay well you have to tell me cuz you were involved in a crash where where Melle look at your car yeah look at my car look at your car look at my car I'm looking at your car look at my car driver side look at my car I look at my car I am I am closely work with the city of Alber I don't care who you work with I don't care historically a disproportionate amount of indigenous American women have gone missing or been the victim of unsolved murders some of the blame has been attributed to shortcomings made by police and Michelle was a part of a task force put in place by the city to help correct this you should know this is abuse abuse my husband has my ID okay so what does that have to do this I'm within New Mexico task force of missing women and you can treat me like this I will tell no I I will tell I will tell the governor how you treat me okay and you're welcome to do that yeah go ahead and check my background I am part of that task force and you're going to let my husband treat me like this he has your ID yeah I know what happens okay go ahead well right now I'm going to have to do I'm going to tell the governor how you treat me give me your card I'm not giving you my now yes ma'am he won't give me his card ma'am nope he will't give me he won't give me his car no is no listen I'm going to tell the governor no I'm the I'm part of the M task force of New Mex IDE what is she might have a bit of distrust towards the cops because the issu she's fighting for but arresting the woman for DUI is far from being police abuse as well as being rude and aggressive to the officers things soon escalated much further while she might have an admirable job in career her behavior towards the police force is anything but me yourp number right now I just walked up he doesn't believe me so my name is what your name no this is part of the problem of the murdering ma have no idea what's going on Noe [Music] NOP I'm going to report you I'm going to report you don't swing your arms I'm not swinging my arms Department while inside the vehicle Michelle was reader Miranda writes to claim she didn't understand them she was then asked if she was willing to do a sobriety test refusing the test could Elevate her DUI charge to an aggravated DUI charge increasing the likelihood of jail time heavy fines and long-term license revocation right now you're being investigated for drunk driving okay would you be willing to submit to a field spread test it's a yes or no question no you don't want to you will not do a Sil field spre test okay how much have you had to drink today a part in your I don't know I don't know what today is how many days have you been drinking not I've been trying to Grandmother's L until I came back okay besides alcohol have you taken anything today just alcohol yeah okay what are you drinking tequila tequila how much tequila did you drink a a what a bottle a bottle a $69 $69 one you had a full bottle or half a bottle or how much moments later Michelle has another intense exchange with a different officer and provides a different answer when asked how much he drank the officer grew increasingly impatient and decided to call out the hypocrisy of her self-righteous attitude Dr drive and you're OB of alcohol you can't Dr and drrive so many p I know including by drunk driving by drunk driving haven't done anything you haven't well we're doing something now best okay nope nope how much did you drink today obiously like that's it mans you've been drinking a lot more shots okay and I'm recording I'm recording and and the thing is is you call this many accidents what accident or crashes I'm sorry not accidents or crashes and that's probably no job but it's nothing against you okay yeah where you let all of that happen well well despite the fact that she received incredibly lenient treatment from the officers she continued to portray herself as a victim she again brings up the abuse happening in New Mexico but he won't allow the one to use that against him it makes it clear to her that he won't allow her to threaten him so are you threatening me is that what you're doing your connection you're saying that are you threatening me saying that if I arrest that if you're arrested that I'm going to get in trouble how am I threatening you okay I'm let you speak just to be clear are you threatening me that the governor is going to do something to me if I take you to jail I'm not just make clear okay just be care that's not okay you're not threatening me right okay thank you yeah okay okay so your connections is getting me in trouble is that you're saying how how was that for doing my job you know I care I care about every single one of those victims just like I care about every victim in state New Mexico but don't be ding me because that's actual extra Target okay the cops did their best to keep her calm but This Woman's level of drunkenness suggested that she'd be impaired for many hours drinking half a bottle of tequila during a day is also indicative of a serious drinking problem inside the cop car her erratic behavior only got worse hello hello hello hello [Music] hello I'm going to report this I'm going report I'm report this hello hey M Amanda's messaging us about our meeting I'm just going to cancel it at the station an officer showed her something to read but she then claimed she couldn't read it due to quote unquote provision despite admitting to drinking and driving she still considered herself to be a victim of police harassment y the went through what the ABA went through the BSA abuse oh the abuse you said your husband was or everyone while you're safe right now you're away from homeing you no not you guys are oh yeah I'll let you guys I think we've been pretty nice to you uh because she was in a CRA to take her cleared anyway so um she refused it's going to be aggravated DWI and then uh I can pull up if I want just put it back in the car take to the hospital do you need to use the bathroom I do oh it's going to happen we're going to take you to the hospital we have to take you to the hospital to get to get cleared cuz you were involved in a crash that's fine okay let's go to the bathroom first though so that way you don't feel your Pence this hurts my hands yeah and you're going to remain a handcuff for the entirety of the incident so okay okay I will talk to Mayor K about there America mayor Keller oh just so you know in the end Michelle accepted a plea deal with one year of supervised probation despite the terrible publicity as a result of the incident it's unclear whether she resigned from her position it's undeniably difficult for cops to call out abusive or unruly public officials but imagine how much harder it would be for them if they were forced to deal with an intoxicated police chief on November 9th 2023 in New Jersey the cops responded to a DWI crash scene while investigating police chief Leonard Guida who was off duty at the time pulled Sergeant William major away from a DUI investigation he was conducting typically police Chiefs don't have to involve themselves in DWIs especially when off duty but it looked like Chief qua had something urgent to say why you got a jacket on the the stuff [ __ ] to be wor what's on the back of it what do you mean looking to tell me what's on the back of it oh washed off yeah then get rid of it okay that's ridic Sergeant for okay let me work this DWI okay Chief come over here Chief I'm on a DWI Chief I'm on a DWI get over here I'm on a DWI Chief I'm working I don't have time to argue about a jacket okay pun me touch me touch me you a f problem you me now get out of here before you get a B technically the sergeant assaulted his police Chief and that's an incredibly serious offense however his reaction was triggered by the fact that the chief of police tried to belittle him publicly in front of other officers and in addition was obstructing his ongoing investigation but the reality was that his reaction didn't just stem from that take him take no you're going to go in again whose keys are these they're mine get out of here no Chief get out of here or you're going to get locked up really Chief you're gonna get locked up what the you're grabbing me I asked you three times to leave me alone you're obstructing my DWI bil I'm over here let him go that's the first shut up cuz you're in trouble now stop I'm stop stop stop you're going to stop stop Billy Chief I'm working D I'm listening to you okay shut up you're in trouble cuz this is the first thing first first of all I was about to say to you you stupid I was about to say to you what do you need OEM for you're you're embarrassing me in front of the men about the jacket no no that's that's neither here or there okay that's neither here or there now we got a real problem Billy yeah we do I know I know right you're going to have to go inside no how about we do no no no no go Billy you're going to have to go inside right now with me based on the sergeant statement it wasn't the first time Chief Que displayed drunken Behavior the chief also had car keys so he might have been driving Under the Influence as chief of police he was technically allowed to give orders when off duty but definitely not while intoxicated and instead of being a help he became a hindrance Billy you're not doing anything when I'm on the scene okay you should know better than this my friend listen to me you grab me no I said come over here you're out line you grabb me I'm not going to argue with it I have a crash work I have a job to do Billy you're relieved okay you're Rel no no no no Billy you have to understand something you're relieved Billy you're relieved go in the headquarters and wait for me yeah so my crash no no bil you're relieved I have officers here bil right here they can get waffled cuz my car is blocking it Billy you're relieved no Chief no Billy please Billy don't you're suspended Billy I'm suspended yes okay then I I'm I'm going home yes silly come here I'm going home we can't talk I'm suspended no I'm suspended I'm going just like with giving orders the off-duty police chief also had the authority to relieve an officer from his duty but not while intoxicated the sergeant firmly told the chief that he was interrupting an officer's investigation the chief's Interruption was clearly against the code of conduct but the officer here was still dismissed let me work my trash this is here you're suspended I'm suspended I'm not going to wait inside nothing more no no bil you have you're suspended okay yes okay wait for me in then that's in order can you do me a favor can you put your car where my car is so our officers in first aid don't run over Polie thank you after suspending the officer the chief tried to cover his tracks by asking another officer about the events with the sergeant now suspended the chief was trying to take control of the investigation in there yes there right now there's nowhere to put it she's going ruin things okayu I'm going got people on the road I want to make sure they're safe after the incident the sergeant major was suspended upon his reinstatement Chief quido was placed on administrative leave as the incident was being investigated eventually the chief was ordered to retire 6 months earlier than originally planned on August 24th 2022 police were informed about a car collision where one of the drivers left without exchanging insurance which in the state of Indiana is a criminal offence police quickly interviewed the other driver involved hey hi where's the other car this is how car was it was smashed into me and when I come out and I was like sir you hit me and he's like no I didn't while his car is in this position we were turning left and uh to go on to uh we golf towards that way and uh then we just came here he followed me but then he laughed he talked on the phone he kind of wandered around the parking lot and then he get in his car and drove off he tried to stop me taking picture of his like um car like uh the number to give it to dispatch and then he did not want to provide me any information he was like I know who you are and is that the damage right there yeah he he this and then this like kind of like bounce okay and then you did get his license plate I did I I got his license plate number yeah um and that's it but he did not give me any other information he just drove off okay was like wandering around as little uh yeah what direction did he go so he go that way and I'm not sure he turned I think he turned right because he was going that way behind me the driver not providing his insurance details suggested he might have something to hide and most likely did not have insurance also the female driver also mentioned other concerning aspects of his behavior that might have contributed to the crash do you want a crash report Don I do want it I want to get a report cuz then had to like get this fixed sure it's not a big deal but still you know I I work and I pay for it so you have your license insurance on you of course yeah you just want to go yeah it looked like in that picture it looked like the same plate in that go yeah sure he had few drinks but he wasn't drunk but could you smell alcohol on I I tried to stay away from him because he was like what are you doing I know who you are blah blah blah and just be he's like you know I'm polish like sir I enoy your son doesn't matter where you from do you want him arrested for hitting you or do you just want like his insurance information I just want his insurance information he I don't want him to go to jail and stuff like that that's not something I want he just needs to be careful like because the cops had his license plate number they were able to track him down when police saw him driving towards his house he appeared startled then made a u-turn and then returned to his house hi hello hello just H yeah how are you going to get out there you go that's better can we do a over here out of oura any problem yeah here you want to stop out H out for me no no you don't want to why why so you you got into an accident over on Greenwood I know you know I I say I am going to pay for anything okay well according to Illinois Law you have to what what else Illinois Law you have to provide information and everything what we're trying to explain that to you why don't you just let him talk you have to give your information to the other driver before you drive off I sometimes some somewhere uh uh for okay all right do you have an ID or anything on you no no you have an insurance I don't have a I am from uh Poland do you have an do you have a driver's license no in Indiana failing to identify yourself is considered a classy misdemeanor it can carry up to 60 days in jail and a $500 fine he eventually did provide a name to the officer but it probably wasn't his own you don't have a driver's Li how much have you had to drink tonight excuse me drink alcohol what what do you think about this cuz I can smell it no how about you okay you you drinking something so now have an issue you don't have a license do you have insurance on the car no no what's your no never again yeah never you have a neighbor so so what's your first what's your first name what the heck is going down here excuse me what's your first name [Music] uh Joe Biden okay no what what is your name so you either have to identify yourself or we're going to take we're not playing games here I me you're going to arrest me you okay go ahead go ahead you're not going to identify yourself be be careful be careful because uh sometimes I am uh my son working from FBI oh okay cool so how about this how about you give us your name and then you can go inside give us your don't don't don't try don't try don't try unless this guy's name is indeed Joe Biden lying to the police is considered obstruction while the female driver told told them that she didn't want him arrested the man seems to be dead set on making sure he does I want to be fair okay I like it police my father was police I appreciate that my son working for FD okay so all we're trying to do now is we're just trying to identify what happened in the accident so we could leave what you want you want to I need your name you want to kill me no sir just your name name I need your date of birth go ahead no speak just speak your name name out loud and I will write it down what is your first name you don't speak Polish I don't speak Polish no unfortunately no no I remember one lady who Wass for Sheriff Department okay I don't think you do so here's what I'm going to say okay we're going to give you one more chance tell this officer your name so we can complete the crash report never go or we're going to have to take you under arrest okay we we would rather just get your name let you go inside I like this but don't try the man's earlier claim of having a son who worked for the FBI seemed just about as believable as his name being Joe Biden he continued bringing it up however to intimidate the officers if it's really true most likely his son would be disappointed in his father for commenting on his work for a highly secretive organization okay all right do me a favor turn around no no no we're down here put your hands behind your back stop resisting hand on your back was 134 we got one in custody on top of driving drunk and resisting arrest in the state of Indiana intimidating a police officer is a level six felony which could lead to 6 months in jail excuse me H why you guys doing like this how many when I call to my son we're done put your feet in I am not chicken put your feet in we're done here come on down move your feet I know it's not sit tight watch your knee watch your KN now it's 134 we got 110 rest resisting didn't run here I'm going to pull your jacket up okay that's hers yeah yeah your jacket's in the way hold on one second I know I know police roll your hand out there you go all right now take the jacket off there you go all right that that face that way face that way there you go cuz I need to get the other one okay I know I know on hey you said you were going to beave my my father was that's great what the cops didn't know was that he just referred to them as auris but in Polish it's an insulting word that means the son of a woman who earns money by providing actual favors down at the station the officer tried to cut through some of these nonsense arguments made by the suspect I think you had too much to drink no no no no no no no no no no no I remember how should okay do you think your son would be happy with you if your son is who you say your son is you think he would be happy with you my son is my son yeah but you think he'd be proud of you right now no no why why are you being like this because I am uh I am [Music] aishan you're a Polish hooligan yeah what does this mean uh do mean like American holigan Mexican holigan what's a hul again uh somebody like a drink you like so what are you doing later tonight Pizza you like pizza I think you need to eat something beautiful girl like Blandy while the officers chose to see the humorous side of his behavior things soon took a darker turn the suspect then made a joke that none of the officers found amusing whatsoever do you drink every day no no every two days only with beautiful okay so you never drink I what are you saying I don't want to come back here with AK what's AK to you uh automat are you threatening to shoot up the police station I I don't have how how I making threats to shoot up a police station is not a joke to anyone here do you understand that I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry you got that's not funny I sorry I'm sorry no no no I don't care I hav't yeah I haven't very big sorry the suspect was charged with the DUI resisting arrest obstructing identification leaving the scene of an accident and assault while this suspect was clearly a bit drunk he still wasn't as drunk as the very senior police officer in our next case on December 5th 2023 in West Palm Beach a gentleman's club had a disruptive customer who refused to leave the customer turned out to be Richard Velasquez aggressive yeah that's all BRS 100% I AG say that that's when I get huh as soon as he W the suspect was charged with trespassing resisting an officer without violence and three misdemeanor counts of disorderly intoxication the chief played guilty and was subsequently placed on administrative leave on the 12th of June 2019 an officer was dispatched to an accident involving a two-car collision at an intersection one of the drivers was a 16-year-old boy and when asked for insurance he told officers that his mother could provide it his mother Andrea Jenkins arrived on scene and the officer noticed a very strong odor company from her he is in the process of getting insurance he he's like I just last week got his insurance or talk to his insurance did you drive here or did someone drive here do what did you drive here or did I drive here how much have you had to drinks tonight not much was at home and my son called me so yeah well what we're going to do since you drove here we're yeah face me and face you yeah face me no face face my direction oh you like I said he an elected official he told me he told me because he was in an emergency situ thought you told me to walk the line I was here for my son he was accident not for this this is the only reason why I got in my car dude dude take me home let them take me home I'm not being a jerk what take I am a Justice at the PE from Washington County corm court and I know Sheriff Helder he's a friend of mine in Arkansas a justice of the peace is much like a county commissioner in other states where a person advises on local laws and budgetary issues Andrea believed that her position gave her some sort of immunity and threatened the officer for doing his job yeah I didn't ask you to have your mom be on the it's not her fault it's not my fault I'm here for my son you do the test yes you're being a jerk no I'm not you are you're being a jerk why are you being that way why how old are you I'm 24 you're 24 I'm 41 okay do you have kids yes okay so understand the fact that when your child calls you and theyve an accident you're going to be there no matter what not if I've been drinking no that's not true I'm going to talk to judge W what is your name officer Petes officer Petes step back I am care who you are stop I refuse to be fair This Woman's excuse isn't quite as lame as the usual reasons drunk drivers give but by arguing and not cooperating she's lost her chance of receiving any consideration from the cop for getting any lighter punishment and also to be fair to the cop here her excuse didn't change the fact that her mistake endangered other people on the road as she continued to make things more difficult for herself her father sought to intervene we can we drive her home no she's going to jail you're over here accusing me of something of saying something that I never said Cops time we all know that okay okay go ahead go go ahead go ahead thank you for being understanding coply all the time go ahead have a good evening have a good evening go I I appreciate you I appreciate no cuz that you can you can go sir or you're going to be arrested for obstruction I'm yes my investigation round good luck to you okay good luck to you and good luck to you have a good evening cop fly all the time sir well he watches YouTube videos all the old it's gonna get towed yes take no especially when I have someone like that being extremely disrespectful you need to get off my scene or I'm going to take you to jail too for obstructing you're on my scene right now you you can't even you're not even supposed to be on the highway get in your car and go about it's going to get towed it's okay no no cuz I lie when initially stopped by police she told the officer she had two glasses of wine however when she was in the squad car the story changed and she said she had three she also continued to threaten the officer going to make this so public you're going to be so this so bull I I I think the Public's going to like the way that you're talking to me the way you're cussing that's that's what we want I love it I'm not and you know that then why are you arresting me let me go home with my freaking family that was what did someone do in that case what do the parent do they go to their child you that's what I did I went to my child I was in professional development all day today for my school I am a third grade teacher I also drive a school bus every day okay during the you mean okay that's what I do okay what I I don't know what you want me to say to that I was elected for a reason and I am a a law abiding official I was drinking at my home my home my child got in a car wreck so my child got in a car wreck what would you do what would you do if your child got a car wreck run to my neighbor if I've been drinking a DUI charge of course could jeopardize her jobs both as a teacher and a bus driver and public records of the case could also impact her reelection campaign for justice of the peace when she arrived at the station she continued behaving aggressively toward the officer anything to do with you officer Perez I have nothing to do with you you are a bad person you a bad person a good person would have let me go home with my dad or my brother because I went to my son's wreck you are the other hand don't beud it has to be someone else that's childish at your age okay you're a grown woman a suspension on your driver's license uh include but it's not limited to the suspension or revocation of your driving filles but I am and if you are driver listen and if you are a commercial driver at my own house and then now I'm being that this [ __ ] I actually said a prayer cor Cory yesterday for all of you guys you know I wanted to know what's going on with me call Sher Helder are you going to make a decision no I want you to call Sherer I need you to make a decision or it's going to mark it as ref please call Sher don't try to pressure me I'm not pressuring you I don't want you to be marked as a refusal call Sher Helder are you going to make a decision no I want you to call Sher after initially refusing a breathalyzer test she finally agreed to take one like most States Arkansas considers any level above 008 to be illegal my son just had a wreck and you arrested me in front of him I asked you put me in cuffs in front of my kid oh no you didn't he saw it all I watched it all take a deep breath tight still blow like you're blowing a balloon until I tell you st deep breath tight still blow blow keep going keep going keep the final result of this test here the final result of this test was a17 almost double the legal limit that's why you were arrested you weren't arrested because you showed up and you arrested because you were two times illegal liit almost your first result was a point 185 second result 171 you're almost two times the legal limit as as as far as the final result is concerned it doesn't matter what it is and it doesn't matter what the situation we can out drive or operate a motor vehicle on the on the highways of the state in that condition and and that means nothing Jenkins pled guilty to a misdemeanor and was fined $1,040 plus court costs she continued her role as Justice of the Peace but in 2021 she was not realized Ed her conduct that day was completely out of line but the next suspect was even more disrespectful despite the fact they were completely sober on the 22nd of April 2024 in Monroe County New York an officer stopped a vehicle going 55 and a 35 the driver ignored the officer's request to pull over so he followed her home shockingly the driver turned out to be Sandra dley the County's district attorney and Sandra seemed insulted by the cop's attempt to do his job sorry I'm the da I was going 55 coming from work 55 and a 35 I don't really care okay so you can call can you come can you please come over here you're on a this is on a traffic stop ma'am yes it is you can call Dennis col right now okay I'm telling you why I stopped you you didn't stop at all did you not hear my lights or Sirens or anything I didn't actually I was on the phone okay well you're not supposed to be on the phone while you're driving either yes I am with the handsfree absolutely okay why are you so upset at me I'm doing my job you you just admitted to me that you were going 55 and a 35 on Phil Roo leave me alone it's officer chrisa Foy Christ fo can you stay over here ma'am you're this is a traffic this is staying this is illegal traffic stop do you have your ID no it's in my purse here you have your purse right there no this is my lunch would you talk to your talk to Dennis this is ridiculous like we said dly was the head of the Monroe County DA's office and the lead prosecutor in the County's most high-profile cases though she had no direct authority over the officer she handed the phone to him so we could talk to police chief Dennis col sir I stopped her for going 55 and a 35 on Philips Road pH Ro and she failed to stop she drove all the way back home and parked in her garage and now she's not she's not complying with any of my commands ma'am do not go inside oh my God yep yep all right ma'am come outside you can't just go inside this is a traffic stop here's your phone back I understand the law better than you would you 953 can you have a supervisor come to the scene no get out of my I don't know why I don't know why you're acting like this towards me because can you please go to the back of the vehicle I'm not going to I'm home I was going I was okay 50 I don't care if you got home you were supposed to stop at Philips Road when I pulled you over when my lights were initiated I didn't know you were stopping me there was lot lot other people on the road I was right behind you yeah there are other people on the road too okay I was directly behind you I'm not dealing with you right now can you please step over here dly mentioned that her black SUV is a county issued vehicle and she argued the cop should have run her license plate she was trying to imply that there's a shared understanding between government officials and the police that the latter should turn a blind eye to the forers traffic violations I'm doing my job you say you're a DA I am the da okay okay let me get you my badge I am the da in of I just don't understand the hostility towards me I'm doing my job being how am I being in I am the da of M County I understand that but that doesn't give you a right to go 55 and a 35 and you even admitted to me that you went 5 I understand that ma' I understand that I don't you know what if you give me a traffic ticket that's fine the one who prosecutes it okay just go ahead and do it go ahead in the rare event that a DA breaks the law the da is typically subject to a court separate from their own avoiding any conflict of interest Sandra dly however brazenly stated that she'll assess her own speeding ticket in her own Court that's an obvious abuse of power and it definitely constitutes official misconduct I just don't understand the hostility I understand you're coming home from work and half the time I was on the phone with Dennis Ian why are you pulling me over you're not even supposed to be on the phone to begin with you should know that oh oh oh on handsfree absolutely you should know the law okay if it is handsfree that's great but at the end of the day you're going 55 and a 35 that's 20 mil over the speed limit okay you know what that's fine you know what I've been dealing with all day three murders in the city and do you think I really care if I was going 20 mil over the speed limit okay I'm just doing my job if you pulled if you pulled over when you saw my lights which obviously you did I thought you were going somewhere else because I thought no one would ever pull a a black SUV if you ran my plates I didn't run your plate I just called your plate out and then I'm following you because you're not stopping dly argues that the stress of working on important and often stressful murder cases made her accidentally go over the speed limit she may have also brought this up to reinforce just how important and Powerful she is I'm waiting for you just to leave well I'm having a supervisor come cuz that's what my chief told me to do this is do you have your driver's license I just showed you my driver you show me your you show me your badge River Road depart 200 the I was and I was just she's a DA yep I know and I was just trying to pull into my driveway I was on the phone with Dennis Co saying would you please tell the person who's following me that I'm just I'm almost home ma'am I understand you were going home but I started my lights back at Philips Road on Philips Road yes you did and there were other cars I was right behind you directly behind you at at the end goad at the end of the day go ahead if you want to write me a traffic ticket that's okay at the end of the day at the end of the day I was stopping you for Speed if you just stop a really bad day I've been dealing with Mur and I get it we have bad days also ma'am sorry I'm sorry the officer continued diligently performing his duties and his body camera recorded all of it as someone who works all day on criminal cases dly should have been well aware of that she either forgot about this or just assume the cops would let her off the hook so now supervisor's on his way and then we'll go from Comm huh who Sergeant Johnson I understand you had it like I get it I we all have bad days at work and I'm going to go in the house seriously this is ridiculous no this is a traffic stop and you out of everyone should know that if there's a legal traffic stop which I have I have the right to detain you until this is done then just write me ticket I really don't care okay well then just hang out at the back of the car because I'm the one that's going to prosecute myself you know what I'll do with the ticket okay just come out here for me and just stand I'm not walking out there I'm not I'm not baby right dly complained that she'd had a long day but as she should know better than anyone else that's not a defense for breaking the the law eventually the supervisor arrived and talked to her I attempted to stop her on Philips road going 55 and a 35 didn't see the plate I was just keeping an eye on the vehicle because she wasn't stopping drove all the way here pulled into her garage got out was just being aggressive towards me for no reason I was being respectful telling her this is legal traffic stop come to the back of the vehicle no so she called Chief then that's why I requested supervisor okay and now she wanted to go inside told her no you can't go inside and this is where we're at so start coming it's a much bigger deal well you youa that what do you want us to do not do our job because it's you no it's fine I said write me a ticket but I was just saying I was to stop at at 5 well you broke on because of that right you should know back the da here had clearly broken the law by speeding as well as resisting arrest but the supervisor could still use discretion on whether to arrest her or not and while she talked to the supervisor she began to backtrack on her attitude from earlier all right ma'am so I'm issuing you speed in zone 55 and 35 fine I'll take care of it since I'll be prosecuting myself okay at the end of the day if you see my lights and Sirens behind you and obviously they're going off just pull over we going to have a conversation and be on our way I kept my ey of your vehicle I'm not going to check my computer to see what plate it is if a vehicle is not stopping for me I want to keep my eyes on that vehicle for my safety so I might get home at the end of the day I apolog I'm sorry that you had a bad day and I'm sorry it went this way but I do respect what you do have a good day man but I would say for speeding the da was fined $185 and she was petitioned by many to leave her job a further investigation brought no charges dly has since apologized and explained that her husband was experiencing medical difficulties which at the time clouted her judgment she also denied the accusation that she consumed alcohol while driving ultimately these cases prove that despite the attempts of authorities to bend the rules there are plenty of police officers out there who were decent and hardworking that will ensure the law is always aeed
