from a cop who brutally assaulted a 73-year-old woman with dementia to an iner officer who beat up a black man for rolling through a traffic stop here are five cases of the craziest idiot cops on siren stop you just left Walmart do you need to be arrested right now on the 26th of June 2020 73-year-old Karen Gartner who was suffering from dementia and sensory Aphasia tried to leave a Walmart with about $13 worth of goods she hadn't paid for the goods were collected from her even after she tried to pay and she was sent out of the store yet the store attendants called the police on her and here's what happened when she was aost Ed on her way back home by Officer Austin hop no no no okay let's stop come on come on I'm going no no no on the ground stay on the ground on the ground on the was in obvious mental distress was terribly mishandled pushed to the ground handcuffed and bundled into the patrol vehicle and even when a passer by attempted to stop this assault he was shunned and asked to mind his business wait what you have to use that much aggression what are you doing get out of here this is not your business ser coming get in there you go where's your sergeant what's that where's your sergeant huh who's my sergeant yeah okay well first I can tell you that Sergeant metler he's at the police department you can go talk to him if you have an issue yeah give me your car so I can put a report okay I see you there how you throw a little kid little kid well I don't know not a little kid and this is what he was just walking and I see you how you gra him stole from Walmart and refuse to stop refuse to listen to lawful orders and to fight me this is what happens when you fight the police I have to use Force to fa safely detain her that's what this is this isn't just some random act of aggression oh well I don't know if you realize that yeah well the way that I see her from over there you know was like that's no but you see you don't know the whole situation that's the go grab her and talk to her she started running leaving pulling away from me trying to fight me well that's the thing I didn't see it running you know exactly so before you go to a snap judgment you got to get all the facts but right here she wasn't running I see her walking right there you pull over I got to deal with this you hang tight okay get your feet in the car all right here let me see and stuff like that so I was by myself so I went to the ground we struggled and rolled for a little bit um I see that yeah yeah and then I got her detained she showed up while I had her up against the car cuz I couldn't get her in the car and right all that stuff so we struggle over there for a little while and then we brought her into this car cuz mine was lost and she wouldn't get in she'd get in wiggle out get in wiggle out all this stuff then finally like you know we get to the ground get her in a hobble she been drinking or something or I have no idea she hasn't talked to me much okay all right good good all right um let's get on the station yeah go from there so we have I still need to figure out what we have there okay you want him to go you want follow to go over there did you go do that cuz they got the property back from her before she left okay from the shop looking yeah yeah we you go over there and see see what she how much what how much all that Jaz yeah you were you guys talking to anybody over there before no I just came here cuz she left and I found her all right I'll go over there the bomb all right and I'll meet you guys down you cool thanks you guys are okay yep and they caught her before she left and and got it back and then she ran out so we have the and then you contacted her for that and and then she resisted resisted so we're good either way so we're good either either way she's going doesn't get a free path if they decide not to prosecute I don't care cool okay we'll head down there Miz Gartner ended up with a bloody nose fractured and dislocated shoulder and post-traumatic stress disorder from the officer's actions yet neither of them showed remorse for their violent and dis despicable Behavior thankfully Justice was served as officer Hop was placed on administrative leave while officer jalali was reassigned both eventually resigned and officer Hop was eventually sentenced to 12 years in prison after charges were filed against him but if you think officer hop is a disgrace to law enforcement wait until you hear what Melendez did to a man after a simple traffic stop there's a purpose of this long protracted sentencing was to offer you the one thing that this court believe you didn't give Mr Dent fairness and due process being a police officer is a tremendous and very rewarding occupation I believe is a calling on your life to do justice in a community on January 28th 2015 you did not fulfill your job you performed just us on January 28th 2015 William Melendez an iner police officer at the time pulled over a black man for rolling through a traffic stop however what should have ended with a simple ticket escalated into a violent display of aggression from Melendez in which he beat up the driver Floyd Dent by the roadside for this he was charged with assault and taken to court where judge Vonda Evans presided over his case that began with the police stop the purpose of it was to harass and degrade a motorist and iner the man chosen for your game was Floyd dent a black man the game went like this let's follow a car in a known drug area and based on your years of training experience you knew that the motorist would likely be a black person no license armed with a gun or drugs in a vehicle upon stopping Mr Dent you knew and upon stopping Mr Dent who was dead wrong for driving with no license or license suspended running stop signs and weaving in and out of the back street which the court saw on the video you and your Sidekick auxiliary police officer zanusi caught your Prey Upon being stopped Mr Dent put his hands out of the driver's window in plain view your partner and you pulled him out when he didn't move fast enough for you you refer to it as resisting I call it bowing down to your command you utilize your dirty hairy tactics and use excessive force to arrest him your job was twofold investigate the situation be a positive example to officer zanusi when your posi arrived they joined you in a Tak down kicking and tasing and ultimately throwing Mr Dent into a windshield of a police car with a dash cam which I refer to as the eye of Justice you were so into your bravado that you forgot the eye of Justice was watching you and recording this disgusting beating seeing Mr Dent slammed into the window shield with blood running down his face the dash cam that was designed to protect you ended up being what convicted you fist busting after taking him down as a sign of Bravery was just another cowardly act caught by the eye of Justice after weighing the allegation in this particular matter and looking at all the circumstances including what you've done and who the person I really believe that you are I'm going to commit you to the Michigan Department of Corrections as to count one for no less than 13 months no more than 10 years as the count to I'm going to give you 90 days credit uh for time Serv and close it out of course it's going to give you 85 days for credit you have 42 days to appeal on my decision that includes matter thank you judge Evans recounted each of mendez's wrongdoing on that January night and ended by sentencing him to 10 years in prison to make things even better Floyd Dent also reached a settlement of $1.4 million with the city while Floyd Dent was terribly assaulted during a traffic stop by an iner cop This Racist trap set by arrogant and discriminating officers does not seem to be restricted to the iner Department alone what's going on oh over stopped because of no plates oh yeah you dude it's you again gosh dang he got uh he got to just go to the uh DMV cuz it it got stolen before you're killing me man so he got to go to the DMV and just get it uh go dang it uh you got your ID again I got my ID do you have a can actually drive this thing and I don't got no license on July 1st 2022 a similar incident occurred in Antioch where a black man was pulled over by Officer Matthew nut handcuffed then kicked and count of an officer unnecessarily assaulting a person but these cops only get more audacious in their tyranny as the cases progress after all here's another cop who lied that a suspect had been driving Under the Influence when he had zero evidence to prove it I want to be enlightened it was a mistake admittedly by Michael Wagner testified to that today he caused her to have her driver's license suspended for for at least a few months for nothing so are you going to know proc that case not going to get mad perhaps you can get mad at me your honor but at this point why would you wait a minute did you hear the uncontroverted testimony of this officer your honor then I want you taking him up on perjury your honor will you take him up for perjury he admitted it was a mistake your honor no but he lied he lied on a sworn not your honor and that is that is not true I'm dismissing I'm dismissing I am I am dis I am dismissing resp no I'm dismissing the charge this whole case was fishy and I have no idea how to keep their address on file the state intends to amend and proceed am I I'm I'm I'm resending the sentence I'm granting the Jo gr it because you don't agree with the state the judge presiding over the case was however quick to see through this cloud of deception and he quickly called it out dismissing the case entirely but if you think these idiot cops only assault
