Get out of the car now. >> And what's your probable cause? >> I don't need probable cause. >> The days of we're going to violate your rights if you're going to do whatever we say. Those days are over. >> You can do it, but you'll get fired. Believe me, I've already got three of them fired. >> Mr. Mir, your windows get frozen. >> Get out of the car. Sovereign citizens disrespect the law and they place themselves above it. They believe in conspiracy theories, undermining the foundations of society and the public's trust in authorities. Fortunately, the law triumphs every time when the cops give sovereign citizens a much needed wakeup call. >> I I don't have to step up. >> You do? Yes, please. >> No. No, I don't have to. No, sir. If you put your hands on me, you'll go to jail. >> Step up. Step. >> Please don't take me to jail. >> Step up. Step out. >> Okay, we're not playing the game. >> On the 28th of January, 2025, the cops tried to execute a routine traffic stop after seeing a car driving at an excessive speed. After pulling the vehicle over, they approached it and asked for the necessary documents from the driver. >> Hello. How are you? Good. Stop with this speed through 9 miles. Okay. I had your 81. All right. >> I had you b 81, but I'm just going to stop you. Do you have your driver's license down you? >> No. >> Do you have a valid driver's license? >> I do not. Why are you driving then? >> Because I got to go to work for >> Okay, that doesn't make a difference. You don't have a driver's license. >> Actually, I'm not even driving. >> Why is that? >> You know, if we can make this real simple and easy, I'm traveling. >> Okay. >> Okay. I'm not in commercial capacity. So, under constitutional laws, I'm actually >> have the right to travel. So, >> okay. >> You know, to make it real easy. >> Before we get too far, you could be traveling to jail. So, I need to see either driver's license or ID. >> I I actually don't have to go to jail either. Okay. Um I I can tell you my name. Okay. My name's Mark. Okay. And your name is >> German? >> Yes. >> A drum. >> Awesome. >> Okay. So, um, >> a German. Yeah. So, honestly, you know, >> be honest with me, Mark. >> I do have a right to travel. >> Okay. >> Okay. And >> you you sure you want to play this game, Mark? >> I You sure? >> I I have >> I I will play this game with you. Okay. >> Be sure. >> Make your decision here. Be very smart about what you say next. >> Okay. The cop quickly recognized a sovereign citizen behind the wheel, and he warned the driver, Mark, to be careful about what he was going to say next. Instead of providing his driver's license, the man insisted that he had a right to travel freely. Unsurprisingly, that didn't end well for him. >> Okay. Do I not have the right to travel? >> You have the right to go to jail if you don't provide me a driver's license. >> Why? How do How do I have to go to jail, >> Mark? We're going to tow the vehicle and you're going to go to jail. Okay. We're going to make this very simple. >> Can you just give me a ticket? I got to go to work. You're going to hit more than the ticket if you keep it up. >> We're one of the bad places here right now. >> You're in a bad place here right now. >> State in the state. We're really not. >> You are. Okay. You're walking a fine line here. I suggest you don't walk it any further. >> Okay. All right. I don't have a driver's license. >> I know you don't have a driver's license cuz it's suspended. Right. >> Let's not play games here. >> Okay. So, I'm telling you. All right. I don't have a driver's license is suspended. >> Okay. >> All right. >> That's all you had to say. >> I had one for a while. >> We don't have to play the foolish games with I'm traveling and all that. Okay. >> It's not a game. >> Okay. It is. >> It's actually the law and you're under and you're under oath. Mark, I don't need to hear your your madeup fairy tales. >> It's not made up. >> It is. >> It's the law. >> Okay. >> All right. Mark, you sure you want to play this? >> I'm I'm just I'm just explaining it to you. >> All right. Well, let me explain something to you. Step out. I >> I don't have to step out. >> You do? Yes, please. >> No. No, I don't have to step out. >> No, sir. If you put your hands on me, you'll go to jail. >> Step out. Step out. >> Please don't take me to jail. >> Step out. Step out. >> Okay. We're not playing the game. >> 14. Give me your turn. I'll take it. Sir, >> step out, sir. >> Step out. Sir, I'm going to ask you one more time. >> We're not playing the game. >> Step out. >> Step out. Face the car. Face the car. Hands behind your back. >> Face the vehicle. >> Okay. >> Mark was placed in handcuffs, but it didn't stop the man from pushing his sovereign citizen nonsense. He was still making arguments, saying that he could travel without a driver's license. underestimate everything in Florida state statutes. I have a right to travel. >> Okay. Well, now you have a right to go to jail. >> I'm not a driver. >> Okay. >> All right, Mark. >> I told you not to play this game, right? >> It's not a game. >> Go to my vehicle. >> Okay. >> Can I >> go to my vehicle? >> Okay. Easy. >> Easy. >> You want to play? >> Easy. I'm not playing games. >> Can you call your supervisor? >> Yes, my feet. going to get told. You going to jail >> for no reason. >> I call you upon your own to follow the constitution. >> Mark, I don't need to hear your >> oath. Okay. To follow the constitution. You're breaking your oath right now. >> I know it's upsetting. It's upsetting. >> Sorry. I got to go to jail, bud. I'm sorry. What? No, you're not. >> You made this decision. No, >> you made the decision. >> Okay. Have a seat. >> This was all your decision. Have a seat. Okay. >> And I have a right to a phone call. >> You have a right to have a seat right now. >> He explained to the officer that the vehicle was registered in his name. After putting the man in the squad car, he was given another chance to talk. But after Mark went back to his senseless arguments, the cop quickly explained to him how things were about to play out. >> Okay. I'm not giving you consent to to search my vehicle. >> Tell you what, Mark, here's what we're going to do. Okay. You're going to jail for resisting without. And your vehicle and your vehicle's being towed. >> I'm not resisting. >> Okay. >> Where's your supervisor? >> You don't need one right now, Mark. >> Yes, I do. >> Okay. Well, you're not going to get one. How's that sound? H. Is there a gun in the car? >> I have bullets. Yep, there's a gun. They thoroughly searched the man and also searched his vehicle. And with all that done, they headed to the station. The officer explained his decision and Mark listened carefully. >> Mark, here's the deal. Okay, let me just explain this to you. >> You would have been on your way with honestly a warning. All you had to do was just listen. And you you couldn't do that. No, >> I can't listen. >> You couldn't, though. >> And now you got a ton of tickets. Your vehicle's towed. you. We got to go through the whole thing just because you couldn't listen >> by now. Why couldn't you just said that? Hey, man. I could just I can just get this >> Mark. I am the nicest cop you'll ever meet in your life. Okay. I trust me, I am. I really I really, really am. >> Listen, my dad was law enforcement for 48 years. >> Okay. >> And then you should know better. >> You should know better. >> As things turned out, Mark had not renewed his insurance, but it wasn't out of negligence. It was due to the man's beliefs. On the way to the jail house, he started sharing his conspiracy theories. >> A >> couple years ago, okay, I got I got my insurance. Everything was everything was legal, okay? And my insurance rates kept going up, kept going up, kept going up, kept going up. >> And I asked my insurance agent and he said, "Ban, I don't know, but I saw this I saw this post." He said, "I saw this uh this interview with George Soros, who owns Progressive Insurance." Okay. All right. And George Sor said, he goes, "Um, I'll raise the insurance rate as high as I want to and they'll have to pay it because they're ignorant." So, I started studying I started studying all these things and the law and everything else, which I had prior I had been doing that prior to that anyways. Okay. Okay. And finding out what was what was truly going on in our country. Okay. Okay. Because I had because I had seen where our our country had been subjecting us to tyranny and oppression for a long time. Okay. Okay. >> So, I wasn't able to pay my insurance anymore because it went up it went up to $243 a month. I couldn't afford that. >> The officer [snorts] tried to be understanding with him, saying that while his behavior had got him in trouble, he was going to help the man and he wasn't going to write the man as many tickets as he could. Unfortunately, it wasn't good enough for Mark and to resolve his case. He wanted to appeal to a higher authority, that being God. >> The first laws that we have to follow are God's laws. Okay? They're the supreme laws of the universe. Right? If you believe in a higher power or if you don't, you know, there there's still governing laws that that that make this universe turn. All right? Make the galaxy turn, make the planet turn. Okay? And there's natural laws on the planet that that >> that we that we need to follow. If we don't follow them, we we we fall short. Okay? It's just like all the diseases and everything else going on in the world right now. You know, >> there is no disease that can't be cured if you follow the natural laws because the natural laws will keep your body healthy and strong and and and vibrant. Okay? Anyway, so we come down from them, we come into common laws, okay, which which were subjected to tyranny and oppression through European laws which were Roman maritime laws and admirality laws. Okay. >> All right. And and the laws and the laws that they use in the courthouse are admirality laws. That's why the language is different. Okay. So then we come down then we come down into constitutional bill of right laws and then constitutional laws. All right. And then from there come the become the policies and codes which are which are the laws that y'all follow. What you're enforcing right now, okay, of policies and codes, okay, have been have been contaminated throughout the system. It's communist, okay? And it's almost like a Nazi Gestapo basically being pushed. >> He soon got so entangled in his conspiracy theories that even he seemed confused. Suddenly, instead of opposing the officer, he began acting like they were partners and even treated him like an ally. Now, there's now there's things that I have the right to do. You know, it's like I talked earlier, you know, I can pull your bond, okay? Because you're bonded as a civil servant. I can pull your bond and I can see you. But you know what? I'm not going to do that. You want to know why? >> Why? >> Because I do care about you. >> I appreciate that, >> brother. >> Mhm. >> You're my brother and and I don't want to hurt you. I just want you to understand the true laws. >> Okay. And the true laws are are keeping you making you do a job that's not even constitutional. Your job is not constitutional. Look, my dad was law enforcement for 48 years. Okay? There's a there's a programming that's in the system called preemptive predictive programming. Okay? >> All right? And and and a and a um and a group of people, we're talking about about a thousand people sit down and they're the smartest people in the world. Okay? And they sit down and they and they they devis sinister plans, okay? To subdue humanity. All right? >> Mark was taken to jail and charged with resisting arrest. speeding for driving 81 in a 65 and for knowingly operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license. He spent one day in jail. On Christmas Eve 2024 in Salisbury, Maryland, early in the morning, the cops tried to conduct a routine traffic stop on Campus Drive and Wallstone switch road. They spotted a speeding Mazda 6 with expired registration. >> Hello, I am Dr. Just got up from the sheriff's office. Everything's auto vision recorded. >> You know why I stopped you today? >> All right. So, the speed limit is 40. I want the switch. I got you going 60. It also looks like your plates are expired. 11 of 24. 11 of 24. Right. You got your license on you, sir. Huh? You need a license to drive? >> You don't? Why don't you? Okay. >> Hello. >> Okay. >> Not required. License is not required. >> All right. State of Maryland. You need a license to drive. >> Do you have any ID on you? >> No. >> You have the registration on you? The driver had no identification documents and the cop reminded him that under Maryland state law that to operate a motor vehicle, a person has to have a driver's license. The suspect, however, responded with his own personal legal theory. However, what I'm what I'm informing you on the public, >> okay, >> is that UCC code requires that we do not have license we do not have to have license to the commission of commerce license. This is personal vehicle. I'm traveling. I have the right to travel from point A to point B uninterrupted. >> Right. That's that's you know, >> right? >> So, >> all right. But I'm just saying how it is in Maryland. And >> well, this is this Well, Maryland is under the federal government, right? >> You need Maryland is a privilege to drive. All right. >> No, it's not a privilege in in Maryland or any other federal district under federal UC. This is this is law. >> Despite the cop's repeated request, the suspect insisted to him that the law didn't require him to show any ID documents to the cops. The officer went back to his patrol car and called for backup. And when his reinforcement arrived, things quickly got worse. >> Hey sir, can you open your door for me? >> No. >> All right. Well, you got to get out of the car for me. >> Why? >> Because you're not you're not acting right. Come on, hop out of the car and we'll talk about it here. I understand you're a sovereign citizen and all that. Okay. My name's Corporal Rigan. I'm supervisor. You've been holding this recorded. All right. >> Okay. >> Go ahead and hop out for me. >> I I'm in fear. >> Listen, you listen listen. >> There's no reason to hop out of this car. >> Yes, there is. Because I'm telling you to in the state of Maryland, I can tell you get out of the car. So, you're going to get out of the car. You're going to go to jail. [music] I'm going to tell you one more time. Get out of the car. Do you understand me? Do you understand me? Get out of the car now. >> What's your probable cause? >> I don't need probable cause. Come on. >> Get on the ground. Get on the ground. >> This is crazy. >> Are you sure? >> After being pulled out of his vehicle, the suspect suddenly got much more compliant. His entitlement disappeared. He began answering the cop's questions, and he even started using a pretty polite tone. Can I have my hat back, please? >> Yeah. Who do you want to put your car? >> Is it your car? >> My daughter's car. >> Okay. What's your name? >> My name is Troy. >> Okay, it's not that hard. Now you get to go to jail. >> The corporal here acted decisively and quickly, and he wasn't buying the man's nonsense. He quickly took out the driver's window. And while from outside it looked almost effortless, in reality one of the cops got injured and he was taken care of by his colleagues. >> I'll do the same blood on you. I'm just going to first clean it off real quick. >> You good? >> Yeah. You go ahead back have >> Jake go back with you. >> Okay. >> Um and I'll have somebody meet you back there. I'll have um I'll have 30 21 meet you back there. >> The suspect here, Troy, was taken to the sheriff's office to be processed. Despite everything, they still treated the man professionally. By that point, he was a lot more humble, but he still argued with the cops because he didn't want to take his shoes off. >> Come on, Smiley. What's wrong? Take his boots off. >> You got to take your boots off, come on, take your boots off. Take your boots off. You got to come in either way. So, go and take your boots off. Did you answer any questions? >> We didn't get that far yet. >> Oh. Are you injured in any way? >> Yep. >> Suicidal? >> No. >> What's wrong with you? >> I'm [clears throat] cold. >> That's an injury. >> No, it's not. >> What's the injury? >> Um, I'm cut. >> Like you don't need to go out? >> No. >> Okay. They booked the man in jail and after a guilty plea, he was released on bond and would have to eventually appear in court. On the 3rd of September 2025 in Union Gap, Washington, the cops pulled over a motorcyclist for a traffic violation. When the officer approached the man, he turned out to be a full-on sovereign citizen. >> Officer Center, Union Police Department. >> Nice to meet you. >> Well, uh, the reason I saw you is you were passing on the shoulder. Okay. >> That's not legal. >> It's not legal. >> Nope. Can I get your license, registration, and insurance? >> I'll give you my name and information with me right now. >> You do not do not have license. >> No, I don't have a license whatsoever. I don't use the road in person. >> Here in Yakima, uh, and in Washington, the attorney general, I'm an attorney. >> Here in Washington, the attorney general has already dictated the aspect that all uh, road usage Well, it depends on if you have a contract or not, whether you're using it commercially or not. >> Are we doing this thing? No, I'm not a sovereign. I'm sorry. What's your name? >> My name is >> I'm an attorney for real. I'm not even BSing. >> And then also right now is the aspect that the definitions of both municipal and county codes here in Washington. >> What's your data camera? Just one, >> but uh the aspects here in the state of Washington first off here in Yakma specifically both road and street is defined as open as a matter of right for public vehicle to travel. So the legislature has narrowly tailored the legislature not to violate any constitutional right due to the aspect that it is all about the consent of the governor. Meaning that if I'm using the roads in a commercial capacity whatsoever, then of course, right, there's an issue. But I have no contract with the state. I do not have no direct license with the state. I have not given her my consent to write to a local motion to travel. >> Correct. >> The suspect Cameron seemed to be an expert representative of the sovereign citizen movement. The officer listened to his lecture, but he reminded the man of the main point. He was driving without a license, which is clearly illegal. As you might have guessed, though, Cameron disagreed. >> I mean, you do. No. According to the Washington Attorney General and their opinion, as well as Supreme Court. Sit tight for me. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. Sit tight for me. >> No, you don't. >> No, you don't. >> I'm not making an assumption. Sit tight for me. >> The cop went back to his squad car and called for another unit, letting dispatch know he had a sovereign citizen. Soon after, Cameron had another objection and he started arguing with the officer about where they pulled him over. >> What's up, man? >> And just as a matter of fact as well, like where we was at was in Yakma and not Union Gap. >> I observed you in Union Gap. >> And the only the only No, the only place where I actually got over into the over into the side was exactly in front of right in front of Val, which is actually gap. >> No, that's that's Union Gap. >> I'm looking at the address. >> I happen to work for Union Gap, so I know where it is. Well, this is why I hit it right. >> Yeah, that's unique gap. >> No, it it says bad, >> bro. It's uni gap. >> According to the map, it shows Oh, yeah. >> All right. Well, go ahead and set time for me up there. >> Shortly after, the man walked in the squad car, and he was curious to find out what the penalty would be. When the officer let him know, he was clearly unhappy. So much so that he started losing his temper. What's up? >> I was just going to say as far as everything is concerned like are you going to issue the ticket so I can be on my way? >> Okay. And are you going to give any discretion? Are you just going to give a warning to your boy or how you going to do this? >> Oh, no. You're going to get a you're going to get a summon for court. >> Oh, you want to give me a ticket? >> Yeah. >> Instead of just a warning? >> No, I'm not going to give you a warning cuz you just got a ticket in July. >> In July? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. So, that's not from you though. >> No, it's not from me. >> Okay. the same. >> So, why would I give you a warning if you've already been cited for the same stuff that you're trying to pull right now? >> Well, because I'm not guilty. That's why. >> I mean, you're you're driving >> guilty, papa. >> You're driving a motor vehicle without a license instead of Washington. >> Yes. And I've won every time in court. That's what I tell you. >> All right. So, go wait over there. >> Go wait over there. >> When the second unit arrived, the female officer also had to listen to his lecture, and the man continued losing his patience and even dared to accuse her colleague of taking too long. Then he found a document on his phone and boldly read it out loud. >> Open as a matter of fact. Here we go. Do a search. Find >> Okay. County Road County 8.06.010 definition. For the purpose of this chapter, the following virtual phrase shall have been county road means every way, lane, road, street, [music] boulevard, and every way or place or part thereof in the county of Yakima open as a matter of rights for public vehicular travel. That does not mean drive. [music] It means travel. Travel by any way I suggest because I own these roads. That's how this works. >> Seconds later, he read the exact same passage again to the cop in the squad car. The female cop tried to prevent him from repeating it, which made the man snap. >> As a matter of public, >> sir, >> why do you keep interrupting me? I'm talking to you. He said it's okay. >> I'm here to talk to you. >> Okay. But what I'm trying to say is do not interrupt me. I have not committed a crime and I am not suspected of a crime. [music] You don't run me. Okay? You don't You're not over me. I I am I am a good person. You don't get to see. >> Okay? So don't try sit here and tell me what to do. I can do whatever I want to do. >> I don't violate crimes. So until I violate crime, you have no authority to tell me. Have >> you ever seen anything? Yes. >> You insulting him. I'm just letting him know. >> Y'all don't get talked. >> He don't. If if that was the case, why do I have three federal cases? If that was the case, why do I got a summary judgement for $1.2 million right now that's about to get paid out? Because cops don't know the rules. You get taught in the academy some, but you don't get taught what the Supreme Court says. And then you're held out and he's will help out. And the person that's sitting there is a visitor that's learning what he only he knows because y'all don't know how this works. And I'm trying to teach you. I have a [music] huge YouTube check. You want to write down my stuff? You can get involved. You don't want to. Okay. You're going to [music] be help. >> The suspect here was visibly worked up. And he kept praising himself, trying to show the female officer just how influential he was. He even tried to intimidate her, saying that he'd push for her dismissal. >> Days of we're going to violate [music] your rights. You're going to do what we say. that those days are over. You can do it, but you'll get fired. Believe me, I've already got three of them fired. No longer on the force. >> Brady's list can't even go and testify anymore. So, what's the point of giving tickets? See what I'm saying? That's how this works. Like, we the public ain't playing with him no more. And it seems like you a good cop, so I ain't got nothing to say bad about you, but you know, I don't have no contract with the state. >> The female cop had to listen to another lecture. He went on with his arguments trying to support his theories, but the man's incredibly long speeches weren't working on the cops. And eventually, one of the cops came back with a decision. >> All right, man. >> Yeah. >> So, check this out. You're going to get a you're going to get a court date in the mail [music] for operating motor vehicle without a >> show up. That's fine. Then there will be a warrant issued to your record. another one because I'm going to send in a notice of appeal on the constitutional violations that I've advised you of my rights and I'm using these roads open as a matter of right behing my rights. There was nobody that was harmed. You have no complaint. You have no verified victim whatsoever. There's no statement of a public complaint. So right now it's you. >> So this is all the conversation that you're going to have with the judge. >> I'm telling you because the body count you can tell the body count all you want. I'm telling you, yeah, >> that you're going to get a court date >> for no valid operator's license, right? >> Without ID, >> right? >> Because you told me you don't have one. >> I don't. >> Additionally, I got you for improper passing on the right. >> Okay. And no insurance. >> Great. I have a shy bond. >> What's that? >> I have a shy bond. >> Oh, okay. 30,000. >> All right. >> He headed back to his motorcycle, but his problems weren't done yet. Moments later, the officer warned the man that if he rode his motorcycle, they would arrest him. Not surprisingly, it fueled his anger even more. >> I'm not driving. >> But you are driving. >> No. The definition of driving is one. >> That is okay. I'm done. Leave me alone. >> I'm not going to argue about my rights, bro. >> You're not going to dictate something. I reserve all rights, including my right to remain silent. You're not going to take those. >> I got down right. You're not going to violate them. Your presumption will not hold. Sorry, [music] it's not working. >> I drive it. That's what we should fight, bro. >> As the officer remained in his squad car, Cameron got ready to leave. But at that point, he didn't have enough confidence to ride off. He instead went back to the cop, demanding more explanations, which turned into one more argument. >> Good. I'm just waiting for you to travel away. >> Why? You going to pull me over again? >> Yeah, >> that's harassment. >> No, that's another criminal offense. >> Okay. What is a crime? >> What is crime? >> Yeah, traffic infractions are not crimes, right? >> Actually, driving without >> people versus >> can you just listen for a second? >> No, because you're driving. >> I'm not I'm not presuming either. >> You're presuming I'm driving. >> But you don't know the definition of driving. >> You're driving your You're literally It is written operating a motor vehicle. That vehicle >> that is not a motor vehicle. >> Is that a vehicle with a motor? >> That is okay. Do you know the definition of a motor vehicle? >> That's it right there. That is a vehicle >> with a motor. >> How about there? >> Show Show me where the motor's not at. >> Okay. Just because you do something. Listen. Okay. I'm going to be cool. Let me be cool. >> I get I get it, dude. I get that they don't teach y'all. I get it. I am an attorney. I'm not going to sit here and lie to you, bro. I am an attorney, bro. What don't you understand? Do you want me to show you the federal cases? What do you want me to do? You want me to show you the millions of people? >> I'm going to tell you that if you get back on those vehicles, >> you're not even in jurisdiction here in Yakima. >> I don't care. I saw what you did. >> You don't care. So that's on your body cap. >> By that point, he was getting incredibly close to a ride to jail and getting additional charges. The officer's patience had run out and right at the climax, he made a decision that sealed his fate. >> Then why are you harassing? >> Because you committed a criminal criminal. >> People versus battle. Okay. 1952 state. >> Do you want to do you want me to get a supervisor over here? >> I don't. I don't need you to tell me I am because I win in federal court. I win in municipal courts. I don't need you to presume and act like somebody else telling me is going to invalidate WHAT PEOPLE WAY ABOVE YOUR PAY GRADE SAYS. >> OKAY. >> SO, like that's what I'm not understanding. You're exactly telling me that if I drive on >> because I I stalked you for a criminal offense that you committed in the city of >> Union. You keep saying criminal. >> Yeah, that's what driving a motor vehicle. That's an infraction. >> Without ID is a crime. It is a misdemeanor. >> The definition of crime is bringing harm to another. That shows the ignorance that you have in relation to our state statute and our freedom. >> Give me one second. You can take off your good. >> I'm going to get an Uber cuz you're just harassing it. >> Yeah, get an Uber. >> I will. >> Luckily for him, Cameron finally showed some common sense. He called an Uber up, saved himself from additional charges, and the only charge he got was for driving without a license. On the 3rd of March, 2023 in Berea, Ohio, the cops initiated a traffic stop on a 38-year-old woman for driving a car with fake license plates that displayed the word private. After pulling her over, the officers approached the vehicle and they were greeted by some good old-fashioned sovereign citizen nonsense. >> Hello. How are we doing? I'm officer Douglas, [music] Korea police. The reason for the stop is you don't have a tag on your vehicle, >> right? It's not I don't I don't contract with [music] the state of Ohio. >> Okay. >> Um I'm a private national. >> Okay. So you're is sovereign citizen thing. >> Well, no, it's not a sovereign citizen. >> Are you Moorish? >> Yes, I am. >> Okay. Do you have your travel document or what do you have? >> Okay. Where do you stay at? >> Um in No, I don't. >> Okay. What's your current address? >> Um I don't really I do [music] a mile in Berea at Okay. Do >> you have anything with the VIN on the vehicle? >> No. >> No [music] registration or anything like that? >> No, I don't. >> Okay. >> I do have my uh all my information right here. >> Okay. Do you mind if I see that? >> Yes. >> And I also [music] have my Morris. Well, it's it should be right there. All right. There. >> Yeah. >> Have you ever had a Ohio ID before? I don't I don't [music] contract with the state of Ohio. >> So, have you ever had an Ohio before? >> No, I don't. >> Okay, one second. >> The cop got in contact with colleagues trying to learn more about the suspect, but for her part, she felt she was being unlawfully detained. In addition, she then pulled some documents out, hoping to prove to the cops she had the right to travel even without license plates. >> Also, my right to travel that's also notorized and and um it's notorized and appied with the state of Ohio. It's an affidavit of my right to travel. >> What is [music] your first name? Is it >> Assada? >> Okay. And then your last name is Bae. >> Yes, it is. >> Okay. You said 223 Run Street. >> That's my address on there. You can't just take my You can take that out of your pocket. >> I'm not taking I'm just holding it. So, my hands are free. That's it. >> Oh, okay. >> So, and I and I'm in and I'm on my way somewhere. That's very important. Okay. >> And you kind of holding me up. Like we said, she didn't have license plates, but she had plenty of claims and lots of entitlement. As things turned out, she had something else she was planning to use against the cops. A very unique fee schedule. >> A fee schedule? >> Yes. >> I don't I don't know what that is. >> It's a fee schedule for if I'm bothered in my private mode of travel. So, this is a notice of intent fee schedule. So, this is for any and everything that you may have going to pull me over for or anything that you may keep me on the side of the road for. >> Call a fee schedule. >> Yes, it is a fee schedule. >> Here, can I take a look at the first I'm sorry, the first one on the fee schedule. Yeah. >> Okay. >> All right. Just hang tight. Okay. >> Well, listen. >> Can I have my ID back so I >> Yeah, you're welcome to. >> So, I can go. >> You're not free to leave. >> Why? >> Cuz you're being detained. detained. >> Yeah, it's a traffic stop. You're detained. You're not handcuffed or anything like that, but >> this is unlawful detainment. It >> is not. Okay. I know you believe it is, but I' i've done this plenty [music] of times. Okay. >> Okay. Well, I also have a right to travel >> in my private transportation. >> It's my private mode of transportation. >> May I see that? Here. You want a train? I'll give you this back. [music] >> No, you cannot. >> Oh, okay. All right. Well, just like I said, you're not free to go. Okay. So, just hang out for one second. All right. >> The suspect identified herself asada Bay. The name didn't sound credible, so the officer contacted dispatch trying to verify her identity. At that point, she was waving another unique document. This time, it was a mythical travel card. >> What was your name before it was ba? >> My name is Assatada Lstar Bay. That's all that the old name does not matter. >> So, this is my name. >> This is my name and this is this is filed with the Morris National Network, >> but that's not the state of Ohio. It's not a law enforcement, right? And I'm I'm talking about Supreme Court law. I'm not talking about the state of Ohio. Supreme Court law. >> I am a Morris national and this is my travel card. I went through all the proper steps to get my travel card. I went through all the proper steps to put everybody on notice and this is what it is. >> So that's not a driver's license. Okay. >> It is my right to I don't have a driver's license because I do not contract with the state of Ohio for a driver's license. I do have a right to travel in my private mode of travel and this is my private mode of travel. I'm [music] not trying to be difficult. I'm just letting you know I have a right to be private. I live in the private and this is how I [music] conduct my affairs. I don't contract with the state of Ohio with the driver's license. I don't contract with the state of Ohio for anything. I have a right to contract [music] how I want because I live in the private. This is my travel card and this is my Moorish American national name. The suspect insisted that she didn't need a driver's license because instead she had her travel card. The cop wasn't buying the woman's foolish theories and he gave her one more chance to explain her lack of documents. >> So you don't drive on any public streets or anything like that? >> I'm not I'm not conducting commerce. This is a I'm not for hire. I'm not for any of that. So I'm not conducting commerce on any public highways. [music] I'm not doing any type of uh business. I'm going from point A to point B in my private mo mode of travel and I'm not conducting any type of business. I'm not conducting any commerce that would need me to have a driver's license and I have not committed a crime. >> You have committed [music] a crime? >> I have not committed a crime. >> You don't have any license plates on your vehicle? >> I do have a I have a private I don't need a license plate. >> You need a license plate not bought from eBay on your vehicle. You need to be registered. >> Oh, no. This came from the Morris National Network when it came with my ID. It's a private what they have on eBay is not my business. It's not my concern. But this is a private vehicle. I'm not for hire. I'm not for contract. And I'm not conducting any [music] type of commerce, sir. >> Okay. I understand that you fully believe in all this. Okay. And I respect >> No, I know. I know. And it's not what I believe in. It's what I know. I I know. I know that the Supreme Court law states that I have a right to travel just like I'm traveling. Supreme Court law says that. Not me. I didn't say it. I didn't make it up. This is Supreme Court law. >> The officer firmly told the woman that the laws she was bringing up were not objective truth and were just theories from sovereign citizens. She demanded a supervisor and the chief officer listened to her and politely explained she was completely wrong. That's when she started complaining she was a victim of harassment. >> I feel like at this point it's like a harassment type. >> No, no, no, no, no. I'm talking about the the people that work for you or under you. At this point, I feel like it's harassment. I don't know if it's because the color of my skin. I don't know if it's because I choose to live in the private because I have a choice to live in the private. >> I respect people, >> you know, >> right? >> We can do our business and we can let you go about your business. >> I'm I I mean, I'm going to understand. >> Well, we need to verify who we are. And again, that There's no verification. I have no >> ID ID that I have as >> you understand Ohio. >> Take me to jail for what? What crime have I committed? She admitted to the cops that she'd never had license plates and threatened to sue the cop who pulled her over. Meanwhile, the cop tried again to get her name, which led to another round of arguments. >> Could you just provide your information before you got it switched over? >> Did you just provide your name before you got it switched [music] to bay to me? >> You looked it up, didn't you? >> I looked up bae. >> Mhm. >> Yeah. We're asking about the if you had a name before. No, >> we do. >> I saw it. >> You wrote down >> What did I write down? >> What did you write down? >> I wrote down your VIN and then the birthday you provided me and then Street. >> Did I see what you wrote down? >> What What is your name? Is it Was it the [music] Dominique? Was that your what? Your old first name. >> So, if you >> I can't just run Dominique. There's a million Dominique in Ohio. >> You know that. Why would you Why are you sitting here trying to play me like I'm stupid? >> I don't know your last name. >> You got the VIN number, don't you? is [music] but it's if it's never been registered to you, it will never come back to a license plate. >> It doesn't because I I got >> If it's never been registered to you in the state of Ohio, it's never going to come back to a state of Ohio license plate and therefore it won't be [music] registered to you or anyone else. Does that make sense? >> You tell us that way. >> No, it was it was registered here >> in Ohio or through the Mo station? >> No, it was registered [music] here when I bought it because I had to register it here when I bought it. >> Did they give you a temporary tag? >> Yes. And it expired. >> Okay. And once it expired, I never got anything else because [music] I do not contract with the state of Ohio >> to get a license. >> Okay. >> Soon enough, they discovered her real identity. And while she didn't have any warrants, she also didn't have a driver's license. The officers then made a decision and pretty soon this Morris driver found out what her fate would be. >> So I'm giving you a ticket. Okay? I'm saying in advising, City of Bree is advising you have to go to court for the ticket. Okay. Now, you can go to court with all your documents, everything like that. You can prove your case. You can file the fees that you'd like against us and not against the court. Okay. I just have to advise you that you have to appear in court. Okay. Your court date will be March 24th at 9:00 in the morning in Berea. Um, by signing it, you're not admitting guilt. >> Oh, I'm not signing. >> Okay. All right. All right. >> So, here's your copy. Okay. Mhm. >> There is the court date at the top on the inside. There's also a phone number and a website on the back. Okay. Directly to the court. >> Eventually, they cited the woman for driving without a license and for not having license plates. The cops advised her to appear in court. Unlike the previous cases involving sovereign citizens, the next suspect said she was a private citizen. And at this point, we wonder if there's really a difference. It was the 14th of March, 2024, and the cops were dispatched to Target after a woman walked out with stolen merchandise totaling $700. >> Hey, was there a problem over at Target at all? Do you know of? >> Nothing. They're kind of accusing you of stealing. >> You were not? Did How did they mess that up then? Can you >> I don't know. They probably >> Did they try to Well, I I I wasn't, but do you know? Were they trying to stop you before exiting or No. >> No. >> Okay. So, nothing happened inside the store? >> No, I walked out. >> Okay. Do you have your license with you, please? >> No. >> Do you have one? >> Yeah, I have a license. I'm >> Okay. Can I grab your name then, please? >> No. >> Okay. Well, you're detained right now. Okay. until I investigate this thing going on right now. So, >> they called us. Okay. So, just sit tight [music] for me. Do you have insurance on the vehicle? You don't need that either. >> I have [singing] I have but I'm private. I'm >> Do you have any information showing your private ma'am? You have to have something. Some ID or passport? I think it's a passport. >> Yeah. >> Can I have that? >> I don't have my >> I'm sorry. >> I have my >> Can I see that? The so-called private citizen, a 34year-old named Crystal, clearly believed she didn't need a driver's license or any kind of ID. The only thing she did have was some kind of certificate on her phone, and she proudly presented it to the cops. >> So, so what exactly is this? Mind if I grab your phone just so I can look a little closer? Okay. Okay. And what is exactly does that mean? I am the I am the name holder for my business. My business >> your business. >> I'm a private citizen. So they'll know that information. >> Is that like a sovereign citizen or is >> a private citizen? No, it's not the same. >> Okay. I I'm just not familiar with asking. >> I'm not a private I mean I'm not a sovereign. I'm private. >> I I haven't heard of private specifically though. What What does that mean? I am a living woman. >> I'm alive woman. I'm not was on my ID. That's why I don't have a driver's license. >> This is a says a certificate of existence and registration. >> Yeah, I mean I this is relatively new to me. >> As far as her document went, the cops weren't familiar with it, which was completely normal because it wasn't an official document. In addition, she refused to give the cops her date of birth. She might deny being a sovereign citizen, but she still had the same ideas and was using the same buzzwords. >> What What was the misunderstanding at the Target? Cuz right now they're saying that you left with cosmetics, I believe, clothing, um, other grocery items, I believe, and they're saying that you took those without paying. Was there some sort of misunderstanding there or something that you could clarify further for us? Not that you know of. What did you purchase there? >> You purchased items. Okay. Do you have insurance on the vehicle? >> I have a privacy. >> You do have to uh have insurance for a vehicle when you're operating on a public roadway. What would happen if you had a vehicle accident? >> You wouldn't care. >> Would you just cover it out of pocket? You don't have insurance? But I'm not an accident. Am I being detained for accident? >> No. Right now, you're just being detained for death. >> When the officers asked her, Crystal said she became a private citizen a month earlier. She didn't have the capacity to explain to the cops what it meant, but she said she was a private citizen, and she knew very well what privileges the title gave her. >> I don't I don't abide by any legal process, any legal things in this. I do not. I lost common law. That's what we go by. Common law. Nothing legal. Anything in your legal process, your juris jurisdiction, I don't go by. You don't have to. That I'm a living woman. >> Okay. So, you guys can steal or like murder and that's fine with you or what? >> I don't want to say anything else cuz I feel like you're trying to interview me and I'm not. This is not okay. >> The officers checked and saw that actually she did have a driver's license. However, she didn't consider it necessary to provide it to them. Also, she refused to answer any questions about what had happened at Target. >> Okay, Crystal, I need you to step out. >> You're under arrest. Okay, >> I am I just showed you my >> You're under arrest for retail separate. No, that's not >> It is. >> No, I am. >> It is. We don't want to We don't want to take you out of the car. >> Please don't listen. Please don't make us >> not. You are. >> Just cooperate with us. >> You are literally going by the business name. You are going by whatsoever I do. I'm not that I am not that business. I am a living woman. So who are you arresting? Arresting you. >> Who are you arresting? So what's your living woman name? >> She showed me what it was. It was >> gave I show him my certificate. >> Your Okay. Your private citizen needs to step out of your vehicle. >> No, I'm okay. Who are you arresting? >> You're you're being placed under arrest. You're trying to get out. >> Don't Don't fight. Push her thing. >> Okay, that's fine. That's fine. I don't play these games. Under under her seat belt. You are under arrest. >> You are under arrest. Under her seat belt. >> You. You. Whoever this living human being is. >> Fabri. >> Hit her seat belt. >> Don't make us Don't make us [music] pull you out, Crystal. Please. >> You're out of the car. >> Come on. Out of the vehicle. >> Come on. Out of the vehicle. Out of the vehicle now. Come on. >> There's no way I can't even get in there. >> We are not playing games. >> Let's go. Stop when you get out of the car. Come on. >> She was fighting a battle she was destined to lose and she continued resisting arrest. The cops were done playing her private citizen games and they pulled a taser out and forced her out of the car. >> Then please get out of the vehicle. >> You're resisting arrest. >> Yeah, you're resisting arrest. Please get out of the car. >> Correct. You're resisting arrest. >> You let me go so I can't get out. >> Are you okay? You stepping out? Are you going to step out? Okay. >> Are you stepping out? >> Are you stepping out? Okay, we're not stepping out. Time to go. I'm not getting out. >> Please get out of the car. >> Time to go. >> Time to go out of the vehicle. >> You are refusing to get out of need to step out. >> You need to go. >> Let's go. Let's go. Out of the car now. Out of the car now. On the ground. On the ground. Put your hands behind your back. No. Leave her. Leave her up. Put her hands behind your back. She's >> fine. Ask you nicely to get out. Okay. >> We don't want to do this. You're arresting someone who's not me. >> Okay. >> So, you're arresting the name and I just showed to my sister. >> I'm a No. >> Why? Okay. You cannot stealing from the target. >> I am. >> Okay. I just told y'all who I am. >> While she was already in handcuffs, Crystal still tried to resist. When the cops finally opened her trunk, they found a huge stash of merchandise she'd stolen from Target. Yeah, you're probably right. Crystal was taken to jail and charged with felony burglary, resisting arrest, and felony retail theft. On the 18th of June, 2024, the cops spotted a vehicle with expired registration. They immediately pulled the car over and when they approached the male driver, things didn't turn out like the cops expected. >> How's it going? >> Pretty good. So, the reason I stopped you? >> Yeah. >> All right. The tire on this car expired more than a year ago. >> The license plate from New York. Expired in 2023. You got your driver's license, registration, proof of insurance. for one or two. Uh there's no injured party, so I haven't carry my driver's license on me. I carry a passport. >> I'm aware 94. All right. Can I get your passport then? >> Uh you can look at it, but >> the officer walked around the car and approached the driver's window, and the cop's initial impression seemed to be right. Suddenly, the man got really uncooperative, so the cop had to shake some sense into him. >> Roll the window down. >> No. >> All right, man. So, this can go one of two ways. It can go really bad for you, or we can just have a good normal conversation. >> We are having a normal conversation. And uh I've committed no crime. There's no injured party. >> I have a valid license. >> Flex. I have a valid Florida license. >> Okay. >> I have no need. >> But the license plate on the vehicle expired over a year ago is what I'm saying. >> What's the problem with that? >> Well, it's expired out of New York by more than a year. >> That's the problem. >> What's the problem with that? There's no there's no crime being committed. There's no injured party. >> 308 403. You might want to start sending this away. All right, man. So, you don't carry your driver's license with you? >> No. >> Why not? >> I have no need to. >> Why wouldn't you need to carry a driver's license with you? It's required by law. >> I don't commit crimes. I don't need to identify myself. I didn't even need to show you this. I did that as a professional courtesy for you. >> In the very next moment, the cop tried to open the driver's door and the suspect here, Michael, became very irritated. He became belligerent with the cop and even dared to threaten him. >> What do you think you're doing? >> All right, buddy. >> You're the one that's going to make your night bad. I >> You're 100% about to go to jail. I'm trying to be as cool with you as I can. >> Excuse me. I have a valid Florida license. >> Yes, but you're not cooperating in this traffic stop investigation as required. >> Sir, I am not. I am zero going to jail. >> Okay. >> I've committed no crime. People go to jail and they commit crime. I have committed no crime. >> Stay right here. You're not free to leave. >> The officer informed his colleagues on the radio that he was dealing with a sovereign citizen. Then he ran the suspect's license and he found out something about Michael that only made things worse. >> All right. Michael ran your driver's license. It ain't no good, man. mean it being no good. >> Not good. Got suspended, >> sir. My license is not suspended. >> It 100% is suspended. I just ran. >> Show me. Show me because my license. >> Step on out. I'll be happy to show you. I can't >> I can't show you right now. >> I have a valid Florida license. >> You don't? >> Yes, I do. >> You do not. >> I 100%. >> You don't. You got a license out of >> You have the burden of proof to show me that I can. >> Yeah. And I'll be happy to show you. All you got to do is step out for me. You can print out that paperwork and send it through this little file. >> Nope. >> You can though. >> It's not what's going to happen. >> Well, I'm not going to get off the car. >> Do you know who this is? >> No, I don't. >> Okay. It's kind of weird. >> Probably a concerned citizen for for no crime. >> Stay with him. The man continued to argue with him and insisted that his license was still valid, but the officer had checked it already and knew very well it was suspended. Michael was irritated and even accused the cop of lying. >> So, either you're lying to me. >> I'm not lying to you, sir. I wouldn't need to lie to you. >> I mean, you're more than welcome to film me because I have a valid Florida license. >> All right, sir. So, I'm asking you again, step out of the vehicle. >> And I'm telling you now, okay, >> that I have committed no crime. I'm now ordering you to step out of the vehicle. >> I have a valid Florida license. >> All right. So, my sergeant's on the way. I'm going to give him a chance to speak to you as well, and you can see if we can come to some sort of or resolution right now. >> The resolution is if you will have a legitimate paperwork showing because I anytime any traffic I've had no severe issues. I had I had I got pulled over for the for those plates like a month or two ago. I paid off that fine. I have no suspense license. >> So either you're lying, >> which I'm not. >> Then you have the burden of proof to show me. >> Okay, then step on out and I'll be happy to show you. Like I said, >> print it out and send it through my >> That's not what's going to happen. >> Well, then I'm not getting out of >> the cop tried everything he could to avoid having to forcefully remove him from the car. However, the man gave him every reason to do so. In this guy's world, his license wasn't suspended, but the system proved otherwise. >> Well, it was suspended on 610 of 2024. >> For what? >> It just says I'm paid traffic citation. >> Well, I don't know what to tell you. That's what it says. >> That's wrong. Why are you unwilling to show me that I wasn't when I know for >> As soon as you step out of the car, I'll be happy to show you. >> You're telling me you're going to arrest me for driving my car in the speed limit in the lane sober with no? Why would I step out of the car when I've committed no crime? >> Like I said, you committed multiple crimes since we've been sitting here, but >> zero crimes. >> You're refusing a lawful order to exit your vehicle. It's a crime. >> Not a crime. Driving without a driver's license. >> I have a driver's license. That's a crime. That's not a crime. >> You're driving with tags that are expired by over a year and a vehicle that you admit has not been registered in this state. That's a crime. >> That's not a crime. >> It is a crime. Violation. >> So, >> that's a traffic violation. >> Not as long as these tags have been expired and that you live here. That's an unregistered motor vehicle in this state, which is a crime. >> Is that a misdemeanor or a felony? >> Doesn't matter. >> If it's a traffic violation, it's not a criminal offense. >> Yes, there are criminal traffic violations. >> Is it a misdemeanor or a felony? Mustainer. >> It's a misdemeanor. >> Mhm. >> The back and forth questions between them went on for quite some time, but when the supervisor, a sergeant, arrived on scene, that's when things changed and fast. Those were the very last seconds that he spent in his car. >> Sergeant Bart from the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office. I understand that you have been given a lawful order to exit your vehicle and you are not complying with that. You are under arrest. All right. Let's move them out. Unlock your door and step out for me. Please unlock your door and step out for me. Please unlock your door and step out for me. You are under arrest. >> You are under arrest. You are under arrest. Sebastian, >> step out of your vehicle. You will be removed. >> Okay, that is a >> verbal no and a headshake. Huh? >> I'm good with both. >> Just take >> Yeah. >> Heads up, your window's going to be broken. >> Ready, >> Mr. Mir? Your window's going to be broken. >> Get out of the car. Get out of the car. Get your hands behind your back. Stop resisting. The cops had no time to waste on this sovereign citizen. The cops acted firm and decisive, and they were just about to put him in handcuffs when he did the dumbest thing yet and topped his previous behavior with a really reckless act. >> Gun. >> That was stupid. >> I have a stupid. >> Do you understand that was stupid? >> I was my You were getting your glasses. You were getting your gun, >> sir. Look at my shirt. >> You were getting your gun. But I was not getting my >> Don't move. >> I'm not. >> After being handcuffed, he was taken to jail. He was eventually charged with resisting without violence and driving on a suspended license. This next case takes us to Dundy, Michigan. On August 16th, 2025, the cops pulled over a vehicle for not having a license plate. The suspect, as you might have expected already, was a delusional and entitled sovereign citizen who was just quote unquote traveling. >> What's going on? I'm Officer St. Let me see your hands real quick. Three time stop. You got no plate on your truck here. >> Yeah, exactly. >> Why not? >> I'm traveling. >> You're traveling? >> Yes, sir. >> You got a driver's license? >> I need it. >> Don't need it. >> Okay. Why not? The state of Michigan, it states you got to have a driver's license. Yeah, absolutely. >> Yeah. What's the fourth amendment? >> Okay. So, >> no. What's the fourth amendment? >> I'm asking you a question. >> Do you have a valid Michigan driver's license? >> Why don't you get your supervisor? >> The cop reached out to his colleagues on the radio, letting them know what the driver said so the cops would know he was a sovereign citizen. When the driver refused to identify himself, the problem grew worse. >> Sir, do you have any identification on him? I don't have to provide unless I committed a crime. >> So you got no plate on your vehicle. >> I do not have to provide you with anything as long as I have notitted. >> Okay. >> I I'm just simply asking for your mission drivers. >> What's your >> I'm officer Stump. I work for the Dundy Police Department. >> I understand. >> What is your ARS? >> What do you mean ARS? >> What is your articular suspicion that I have committed a crime? >> Okay. So you don't have a plate on this vehicle which is a violation of Michigan. >> It's a it's a statute or it's a legislative law. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> When you know the mission motor vehicle >> I don't I do know it but I don't need to know it. >> Okay. What do you know about it? >> Because I drive in the private capacity. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> I I am I am traveling at my own capacity. My private capacity. I do not need it. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> And and I'm gonna need your name and number. >> 811. 811. >> 811 is your badge number. >> Yep. Stop. S U N P. >> Yeah. >> Cuz I'm going to let you know. I'm going put you on notice right now that this is going to be connected to the bomb. >> Like plenty of other sovereign citizens, this guy was being incredibly arrogant. He tried to intimidate the officer and using a familiar script, he eventually went as far as threatening the cop with termination. >> So now what's going to happen is when your supervisor gets here, >> okay, you're probably going to be finding a new job. >> Okay, let you know. >> Because you broke your ox this morning. >> So >> because you pulled me over. >> You don't have a license plate on your vehicle. >> I am traveling. >> Okay, >> it's understandable. I'm an American. >> Okay. Are you willing to identify yourself to a law enforcement officer? >> I'm not going to identify. >> All right. Go check the truck off. >> You told me I committed a crime. >> You committed a driving violation. >> Supervisor. >> Yeah, absolutely. >> Besides being a sovereign citizen, the man also turned out to be a bit of an armchair philosopher. As he listened to the man's rambling, the officer tried to be patient as they waited for the supervisor. >> You broke the Fourth Amendment. Okay, the Constitution. If you don't know what it is, go look it up, okay? >> And then you'll understand what I'm talking about. >> Okay, we can It's all right. We can just wait till >> Just for future reference, I want you to understand that as an officer of law. And And I don't blame you because you guys are taught a certain way. You're taught through the academy. You're taught everything >> through MCL law. >> You guys ain't taught common law. And you're not taught to protect yourselves. >> Okay? I have nothing against police officers. >> I really think you guys are awesome to have around. >> I just I just think that you guys are very uneducated. >> Okay. And what what the real laws are. >> Okay. Now, see, a driver's license, if you really want to know the truth, a driver's license is a contract through the state to be a driver. >> Okay? The only time you need a driver's license is if you are running in commerce. You are doing business under that driver's license. That's the only reason you need it. >> As far as trying to scare the officer, the man was very persistent. He said he'd already had two similar lawsuits and he'd won one of them already. According to the suspect, as a result of his lawsuits, four cops had already been arrested. >> You know, got got arrested and kicked off the course. >> Oh, I didn't know that. because of like this. >> They stopped you for no play. >> Well, they didn't stop me for no play, but they stopped me for sitting in a parking lot. >> No. >> Okay. I didn't have plates on here. Okay. >> I mean, and I I I don't I don't want to come off as a cocky, >> okay? But I just want you to understand that you guys are subjected to some bad, okay? Because your office have been totally honest with you guys just like they haven't been totally honest with us the people. >> Okay. >> Okay. And as citizens we look at you guys to serve and protect. We don't look at you guys to be tyrants. >> Okay. So if if you want to go and you want to learn about all that let's say you say let's say I want to go and I want to learn the correct way. >> Where do I where do I go? >> Constitution of the United States Declaration has been Bill of Rights. It's It's all there. Okay. And And I'm gonna let you off the hook. I'm going to let you know what the Fourth Amendment right is. That is the right to travel anywhere you want to in this country without being bothered. >> The officer listened to the man's stories calmly and patiently. But unfortunately for this guy, he was not going to discourage the cop from his firm intention that he had to finish the job. Soon after the supervisor got there and as far as his deputy went, he could either support the man or criticize him. >> I committed a crime. You're one of the sovereign citizens. >> I'm not a >> Okay. Michigan law requires >> state. >> Okay. Well, Michigan requires you to have a driver's license in this state. Okay. Sir, we're not going to play this game. I'm going to let you know right now. You need to provide identification to the officer for the stop. And if not, you're going to end up going to Monroe County Jail. Your vehicle is going to be impounded. Okay. Uh, can we give you the sheriff out here or your captain? >> No. >> I'm the highest ranking supervisor right now. >> No, I do not. >> Okay, sir. Are you going to comply? >> Oh, you're going to get fired, right? >> No, I'm not. >> Yeah, you are. >> No, I'm not, sir. >> Yes, you are. >> I am not. >> My house is right there. Okay. >> You need to have a valid driver's license to be on Michigan roadway, sir. Your vehicle is not registered as well, either. So you're >> follow the Constitution of the United States. >> You don't either, sir. >> Oh, yes, I do. >> All right. Well, you can go whatever you want to do with that, but yes, sir. >> So, are you going to provide that information? >> The suspect wasn't satisfied with what he heard from the supervisor. He demanded to talk to a captain or a sheriff. The supervisor told the man that at the moment, he was the highest ranking person on duty. At that point, the supervisor's patience ran out and he directly ordered the driver to step out of the vehicle. >> Step out of the vehicle, sir. If you kidnap, >> step out of the vehicle, sir. If you don't, get your hands off. Drop it now, sir. Don't touch me. You're going to jail. You get your hands off. Hey, let's get out. You get your sheriff here. No, you get your sheriff here. You Hey, hey, hey. Come on, man. Come on. Hey, hey, hey, hey, >> calm down. I am injured. Okay, you're going to hurt me more. >> You're going to hurt me more. Down car now. >> Turn around. 46. [clears throat] [laughter] You guys are serious. >> When reality hits, things quickly change for sovereign citizens. When reality disproves their claims and their bizarre legal rambling as he was being placed under arrest, he continued being belligerent and threatening them. >> There you go. Siege, seizure, kidnapping. Okay, look at 18241 and 242 and 18 USC 18 1581 through 1591A. >> Okay, this way. >> You guys are both going to be gone. Both are done. I guarantee it. >> And that officer assaulted me. All right, take a seat. I want my phone. >> Okay, take a seat. >> I can't sit like this. I'm I'm telling you, I got bad back problems and I got heart problems. You got to me. >> Okay, just take a seat, man. >> I can't sit back. >> Okay. You want to stay forward and not not do a seat belt or you? >> Yes. I don't want a seat belt. >> I got to put this on, though. >> I just said I don't want you on me anyway. Ultimately, he was charged with two counts of resisting and obstructing, one count of failure to identify, refusal to provide DNA, and multiple traffic violations, including driving without insurance. At the jail house, after eventually identifying himself, he learned his license expired in 2006. He was processed in jail and after posting a $5,000 bond, he was later released. Ignoring the law can go unpunished, but only for so long and if you're lucky enough to not get caught by a nononsense cop. Eventually, sovereign citizens have to pay the price when their encounter with law enforcement delivers a painful reality check.
