Baker was walking through a predominantly white neighborhood when he was approached by a black police officer the officer ordered him to stop moving which Mr Baker refused questioning the reason for his detention despite the officer admitting that Mr Baker had committed no crime he continued to press him with questions about why he was in the neighborhood because I want to see if you lost inside a parked vehicle at a construction site after hours requesting identification to verify if he had permission to be there the man hesitates insisting that he has the keys to the store and is working on construction the officer sites previous burglary incidents in the area expresses suspicion and explains that being on private property without verification could be considered trespassing as the conversation continues the officer notices an open container inside the vehicle adding another reason for further escalation how's it going I'm building this store right here watch okay yeah
