Yo, I got more money than you and >> Come on. >> I need >> Stop. You're acting like a fool. >> I CAN'T BECAUSE [screaming] >> WHAT THE do you want? What do you want? >> The bail got >> What do you want? What do you want? >> Really? Today is eviction day. >> No, it is not. YOU KNOW WHAT? YOU KNOW WHAT? I want y'all to leave me the alone. In the hierarchy of human needs, shelter is near the top. However, some tenants are so irresponsible that no matter how many chances they're given, they still fail to live up to their end of the bargain. But reality comes knocking on their doors just when these terrible tenants think they can't get arrested. >> I'm just asking you to leave the property >> because you know you won't. >> No, I'm not wrong. The court has already told you. >> You know you won't. The court is wrong. You won't. even the supervisor. Now the office is closed. >> On the 25th of April 2024 in Daytona Beach, Florida, the cops were dispatched to a residential community when a woman refused to leave the property. Although her locks had been changed already, she was still sitting outside the front door of her former apartment. >> Hey, ma'am. What's your name? >> What is it? Milan. >> Milan. Do you have an ID on you? So, I I'll let you know right now. Um, I talked to the deputy that served the paperwork. He notified me that you were properly evicted. >> They go to the court. I I gave them all type of evidence to show them exactly what's going on. >> Um, so this is the the information I got. I couldn't see the judge to give a side of my story. They just deny um no legal basis. >> Okay. So I I already have that >> there's plenty of legal basis. >> I I I understand that you you believe that there's plenty of legal basis, >> but they've already denied your judgment. >> Which means So if if you understand that >> I have 24 hours to be evicted and I need >> you've already been evicted. >> I'm not evicted. I need to get access back. I'm I'm They're not giving you access back to your stuff. I I just want to let you know >> I need to get access >> I just want to let you know right now at this point it doesn't seem like we're kind of getting anywhere and I and I really don't want to escalate to the further to the next level. >> I'm just letting you know you've been properly evicted. >> May I speak please? >> I've been getting >> May I speak please? >> Earlier that day a deputy delivered a court order granting permission for the property manager to change the locks. This was after the suspect, Milan, had not paid rent for 5 months, and 6 months prior, they'd already given her notice to pay up her leave. She'd filed two separate appeals with the courts, but both were denied. >> Okay, I'm I'm going to explain to you as simple as I can. They've evicted you, okay? You went to the court, your act, your actions were denied, okay? Which means you've been properly evicted, which means you no longer have any tenant rights to this place. If you would like to grab your stuff, you can call them at a later date and arrange to grab your stuff. But as of right now, you've been legally evicted and they do not want you on the property. So, I have to ask you to leave the property. If you refuse to leave the property, I'm going to place you under arrest. Okay? >> I'm telling you right now, I as I just said, >> I'm I'm letting you know right now, ma'am. If you I don't want to place you under arrest, but at this point in time, you're you're giving me no recourse. This is a long history. >> You're giving me no. >> Can you please leave the property? >> I want you to We're not doing any of that. >> There's no legal basis for me to get the support back. >> Will you leave the property? Yes or no? >> But and now >> will you leave the property? Yes or no? >> Ma'am, please legal basis. >> Will you leave the property? Yes or no? >> No. >> Okay. Do me a favor. Stand up. >> No. >> 47 central. Is there another unit close by? >> I need to speak to the supervisor >> there. >> The gentleman that you want? >> Yes. Three charges. >> I need to speak to him. >> He does not want to speak to you. They've already properly evicted you at this point. You're going to go to jail for trespassing. >> I'm not for trespassing. I was trespassing. >> Thank you. >> Not only did Milan not pay rent after multiple warnings, but she also refused to leave the property after being told she'd be arrested for trespassing. You don't need to be a psychic to see where this thing was heading. But unfortunately, Milan wasn't exactly forthcoming. >> There's no legal basis. But now you you trying to enforce the law for trespassing. >> I'm telling you right now, you're they don't want you on the property. >> There's no legal basis. There is plenty of evidence. There's plenty. >> That's something you can take up with the court. >> I did already. And they denied it. They don't want to see it. >> Then that's then there that that's where we are right now. Okay. At this point in time, you have to leave the property. I don't want to take you to jail. >> I really don't. I'm just asking you to leave the property >> because you know you won't. >> No, I'm not wrong. The court has already told you. >> No, you know you won't. >> The court is wrong. You won't. Okay. >> Even the supervisor. Now the office is closed. >> Okay. >> Suddenly the office is closed. >> There's not something fishy about that. Nothing fishy about that. Nothing is fishy about that. >> Okay. This is your country. Have fun. >> You No, no, no. This is your country. Have fun. No. Let me go. Let Sir, let me go. Let me go. This is your country. This is your country. Have fun. Let me go. >> Right now. You're not free to go. >> This is Let me go. Sir, do not touch me. Let me go. >> Letting you know you're not free to go. >> Country. >> This is your country. Have fun. >> Bad was trying to play this game by her own rules. She confidently stated that she knew the legal system better than the judges and law enforcement. But then she also implied that she didn't even view herself as a member of US culture. What made her think that she knew better than anyone else? >> How you doing, ma'am? >> Hey, my partner's going to search you here. Okay. She's just going to trespassing assistant. >> Okay. >> I'm officer Denver. I have to search you prior to going to uh jail. Is there anything on you at all that I should know about? Okay. >> Your necklace is going to be taken off at the at the uh police department, but you can keep it right now. They're just going to I'm just letting you know. That's okay. >> Tiffany, can you take the bun? The whatever hair tie she has. >> The hair tie? >> Yeah. Please don't. Please don't. >> Hold on. I'm just checking it. >> Ma'am. Ma'am, please. >> What's tying your hair together? >> It's just a scrunchie. >> Do you Do you mind taking that off? >> Oh, it's sticking. Please, please. It's going to be taken. >> There's nothing on my hair. Do not touch my hair. There's nothing on my hair. Do not touch. >> They're going to check it at the jail. >> They're going to take it. You cannot have it in my car. >> They do that. >> You cannot have it in my car, man. >> I can't do anything. >> So, please listen. We We really don't want to escalate this. I'm asking you >> to stop moving so they can take the scrunchie out. It's going to be taken out at the jail. >> This is not without this is not with any disrespect. I'm not trying to disrespect you, okay? >> Touch my hair. I don't have anything. I can't do anything in the car. >> Nobody likes having their hair messed up, but the policies exist for a reason. Like we've seen time and time again, when being placed under arrest, most people will do anything and everything to make the booking process as difficult as humanly possible. And that's exactly what Milan was doing. The battle of the scrunchie continued at the station. Um, go read glasses. Glasses. your necklace. Lift it off. >> Scrunching. Scrunchy. >> Scrunching. >> Yeah. >> I don't have anything in my hair. >> Smart prisoner. That scrunchie is not going in there with her. That's a shenanizer. You're okay. >> I don't have anything. >> Ma'am, I'm letting you know. You're going to get another charger if you don't take that off. >> Okay. You can give me >> Okay. Do me a favor. Face the wall. Please turn around. Face the wall. >> Ma'am, hang tight. >> Move it. >> It's a choking hazard. >> No, it's not. It's not a choking. How is it a choking hazard? >> Ma'am, this >> Face the wall, please. Ma'am, face the wall. Ma'am. Ma'am, you have to calm down. Please stop. >> Listen. Listen. Either way, the county is going to remove it. >> What's the reason they want to remove? >> They ma'am, they're not going to They're going to take it off. It's a >> I understand. I understand. But it's a choking hazard. Use that. >> Why would I choke myself? >> Why would I choke myself? >> We're not saying you. >> It's just a policy. >> Okay. Let me Let me braid my hair first. >> Okay. You can take it off. >> No, we're not removing the cuffs. You have to take the scrunchie off. Milan couldn't even do something as simple as taking off her hair scrunchie. Just as she didn't respect the eviction notice or the court orders denying her appeal, at this point she was showing no respect whatever for the officers at the jail house. You're going to have to grab that because that can't stay in here. >> I need to remove that so I can't get back here. >> No, you have to grab that. That cannot stay in here. >> So, >> man, it's not coming off. >> Ma'am, that item is not going to stay in here. You need to remove it. No problem. I I've had it before, bro. where someone try to choke themselves with whatever they got on them. I'm not that I'm not losing my job because she wants she wants comfort and convenience. >> In addition to trespassing, she also got a charge of resisting arrest without violence. While in that holding cell, she'd have plenty of time to think about her stubborn personality and hopefully consider more carefully that it wasn't getting her very far in life. On Valentine's Day 2024, the cops were called to a residence after a neighbor had a complaint. Apparently, a man there had freaked out, curiously enough, during an argument over an abandoned cat. >> Okay. So, what what happened here? >> All right. Okay. So, who lives up there? >> Yeah. >> His mom lived up there. >> Yeah. >> Right. She was >> and she was declining pretty bad. >> And Dan was trying to move her stuff out cuz she got an eviction notice. Okay. fine and dandy. Um, anyway, the cat got left up there. >> Okay. >> All right. Cat was up there for like 4 days. Uh, day before yesterday, I went up I went to the front. The front door was locked. But you can get in to the side door here to the porch. >> So, I went up. I got the cat. I got the cat. Got the cat. Called the sheriff's. Called you guys. We came to Cataway. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Butterfield comes over that night, which was the night before last, pounding on the door. He's got it on surveillance. >> Yeah. >> And saying, "Tell your old lady to quit breaking into my house." Blah blah blah. >> Okay. >> And I just didn't answer the door or nothing, you know. >> Um I'll write statements if you need be. >> And then today And then today I just get back and today he he's he's waxed. He's I think he's drunk. comes over with a big stick on the door and I I walked out and I took the stick away from him. I said, "What do you want? I want you." Okay. Stupidity, right? Uh wasn't making much sense. And I said, "The cops are on their way. You shouldn't even be here. The cops are are coming." >> It sounded like their neighborly dynamic was going downhill fast. Getting along with your neighbors is not always easy, but if well managed, it can make a world of difference. This lady apparently had taken all she could from her neighbors. The man throwing objects around was another tenant named Scott. And she was ready for the police to kick him to the curb. >> Get get going. Get going. So he left. He went back, >> grabbed a big piece of driftwood, and he threw it on the front stairs, came back with that. >> First it was the plant. >> The plant is from upstairs. >> Okay. >> And then he came back with a big piece of driftwood and he threw that there. And we made a third trip and through that and through that on cop truck. >> Okay. >> So, >> all right. Um, this porch that you went into, is that like a shared porch that accesses both apartments? >> Want to see it? >> Yeah. >> I don't think he's got weapons. >> Okay. This is the door to his apartment. >> Okay. >> So now this door is locked, but the other day this one wasn't locked. >> And that one was her apartment's up there. >> Okay. >> I left the doors open and stuff. >> So this doesn't look like his private >> porch. This is a shared porch between the two apartments. >> The lady's complaining went on and on. She said she didn't feel safe and claimed that Scott was a drug dealer. The officer then asked her to leave the building so he could try and get Scott's side of the story. Little did the officer know that he was about to come face to face with an absolute oddball. >> Who is it? The early police. Huh? >> Early police. >> How are you doing today, sir? >> I'm taking a shower. I'm sorry. >> Okay. I'm sorry. >> Um, I need to talk to you about what happened earlier. Can you throw a towel on for me? So, what's going on with you and your neighbors? >> I don't know. >> Well, you're throwing plants at their door and coming to their door with a stick in your hand and >> No, they're just being >> Well, what's going on? >> Nothing. I have no problem. Okay, then how did the stuff get thrown at their door? They're >> yelling at me. >> Well, what happened? >> It did what? >> Actually went to >> Yeah, you're good. You're all wet. I'll give you a piss. >> So, what happened when you went to them? I mean, why why did you go to them? >> I don't know. They're mad at me. >> Then why did you go to them? If someone's mad at you, why did you go to talk to them? >> I wanted to solve it, too. >> Okay. >> Understand what's going on. >> We can't say for sure, but Scott may have figured that answering the door completely naked was a pretty clever way to avoid talking to law enforcement. I guess he assumed that they wouldn't want to deal with him while he was in the buff. Realistically, it would have only taken a few seconds to dry off and throw on some clothes. But instead, Scott decided to go all in on being a weirdo. >> And do you have a driver's license or anything? >> No, no, no. I have no license. I lost my license a long time ago. >> From what state do you lose it? >> Uh, Wisconsin. >> Wisconsin. It used to be Wisconsin. >> Yep. >> Okay. >> Yeah. I lost my I ride bikes. It's [music] >> soldiers. >> It's a nice bike. >> It is. It's a specialized >> Yeah, it is a very nice bike. bikes >> so I don't cause no problem. >> What's the address here at this uh >> Okay. Um >> no problem. >> It seems like you guys did have a problem and you didn't really give me any information on what happened. You were just saying they were mad at me >> about what? >> I don't know. >> You don't know. >> I try to help them all the time. >> Okay. Well, you admitted to me through the plant. >> Yeah. Yeah. I put the plant up through. I take care of the plant. Why would you stick >> Why would you throw a plant telling them to take care of the plant? I mean, it's not their plan, >> right? >> They might want to take care of it. >> So, you threw it on their deck cuz they might want to set it down. >> Well, tipped over, dumped on the >> I know, but I said, >> okay, you set it down. >> It's their family members. >> To his credit, Scott never resisted, nor did anything to escalate things. He had enough common sense to realize that antagonizing cops would not help his cause. However, the excuses he gave for his previous behavior just didn't make sense. >> So, you went up into the apartment upstairs. >> No, no, no. >> Then where did you get it from? >> My apartment. >> Why was their family members planted in your apartment? >> I don't know. >> You don't know? >> Okay. So, we're having a little disconnect in information here. >> Now, listen here. >> Okay. >> Who lives here? Brian. >> Yeah. You got evicted. Now I'm paying rent. >> Okay. >> I'm paying for his stuff to stay here. >> Okay. Um now you I'm just going to let you know the landlord I talked to him today >> and he said he wants you out. >> I told him he's got to evict you. >> But I'm letting you know you should probably find a a way out because that's coming. >> Okay. >> So you should probably find a new place to live. Start looking at least >> cuz he's looking to evict you. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Yes, sir. Um, as for this little incident, I I am going to issue a citation for disorderly conduct. >> No problem. >> Okay. [music] Do you have a mailbox or something? >> I don't No. >> You don't get mail here or what? >> No. >> You don't have any mail that comes here? >> No. >> Oh. Okay. Well, um, go about your shower and, uh, leave your neighbors alone. >> Okay. Okay. >> Hey, his phone. There you go. Leave your neighbors alone. Right. Okay. Have a good day. You're welcome. >> When the officer went back to write Scott's citation for disorderly conduct, it was then discovered he had an outstanding warrant. Scott failed to pay a fine on a prior citation in a neighboring county. Although it wasn't a serious offense, he would still need to be arrested and booked. >> All right, sir. Based on what happened before, I mean, you can't be throwing stuff at people's doors. >> You can't be throwing junk on their porches. >> I'm going to give you this ticket for disorderly conduct. >> Okay. Thank you. >> One second here. Then we got >> You're doing your job. Thank you. >> You do have a warrant for your arrest out of Chipoa County. >> Yeah. >> Okay. You knew about that. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Um we're waiting. Our dispatch is finding out from Chipoa if they want us to take you. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, we're going to wait >> $100, you know. >> Okay. $100. Simple. Not Not bad. No. >> Not like Not like you murdered a bunch of people. >> No, I didn't murder nobody. >> That's good. Um >> I'm a good person. Come on now. That's good. And you haven't been anything but uh cooperative with me. So, >> exactly. >> I don't feel a reason to to to treat you poorly. Um >> naked. >> No, that's okay. As long as you keep >> As long as you keep the towel on, that that's >> Oh, I got a big one. >> Huh? >> Nothing. >> Dispatch affirms Scott's warrant from Chipoa County. After being naked for such a long time, all that remained was to get dressed and be on his way. But for Scott, getting dressed wasn't as simple as it sounds. in the midst of this super untidy apartment that he was subleasasing. >> Do you want to get some pants on? >> Yeah. Under arrest? >> Yeah, you're going to be under arrest. >> So, why don't we go together and go get some pants? >> Can I bring my stuff with me? >> Um, depends on what? >> My coat. >> Yeah, you can bring a coat. >> Going to jail? >> Yeah. >> Why? >> Yep. Because they the warrant they chip county says they want they want you placed under arrest >> over $100. over whatever it is that I'm not sure what it is. >> Can I get dressed? Come in. >> Yeah. I'm going to have to come with you though. >> Yeah. Come here. >> I just want to bring my boat with you. >> Okay. >> Damn. >> You're kidding. You got a lot of Oh, doesn't mean you can't come back. You're not going to prison. >> Why don't we just do some of these pants though? Those ones are a little dirty. Those are dirtier. I mean, that one those ones looks like you pooped your nose on. So, >> those work. assistant. >> Scott was charged with disorderly conduct in order to pay a fine of $263. As far as that previous $100 fine he hadn't paid, it looks like he'd have to call some favors in from friends to pay that one up. Hopefully, he'll clean up his act, his apartment, and his backside. On the 18th of December 2021, in Semino County, Florida, a 21-year-old named Ariana was refusing to give her parents the monthly $50 they'd been asking for. An argument erupted, which had gotten so bad that a concerned nextdoor neighbor called police. >> Stop. >> Ariana, you got to go. The police is here. You got to go now. >> So, miss you. >> Yeah. >> Put your clothes on before he has to come in here and get you. Just leave. >> Can you come out here? had an argument when I was at the store >> about $50. What 21 year olds, you know, live in a house can't pay nothing. >> I'm doing y'all a favor. >> You got to kick her out. That's the only way she going to wear. Otherwise, she going to be here at 40. >> So, this reoccurring problem? No, she had a handle on it and I think something happened at work and then I told my uncle she didn't know how to drink early she open but she just keeps on >> so I mean I want her to know that this is true and she's like I'm never going to talk to you again. That's what you you have to do. I'm not going to pick anybody over myself. I'm trying to talk to them. Every time I try to talk to them, it's always Dr. Phil, Dr. Phil. I'm really trying to help them with their trauma because I know it's true. But you're not going to keep treating me like crap. And my boyfriend wants to leave. So, I blame him. Why do we have to deal with this bullit? >> The family appeared to be under a lot of strain. But often times, disputes like these can be worked out when everyone remains calm and committed to a mutually beneficial solution. But as we're about to see, Ariana was in no condition to do anything productive. >> Yeah, I got and mind you, I pay bills. So [ __ ] morning, I'm getting tried because I am doing what I can out at 20 years old and you will do the same thing. Now grant I pay bills. >> Stop screaming. >> I pay bills. No, no, no. I I WILL. I WILL. I am. I am. I AM. I AM. BUT I PAY BILLS. I PAY BILLS NOW. I LOOK CRAZY. GRANTED, I can look crazy all the I want because I'm the one who pays bills. I'm the one who paid cable. I'm the one who's 21 YEARS OLD. YOU CAN LOOK AT my I promise my mother. Where's your mouth? Other than you. >> Other than you. Other than you. And this really is an interaction with my mother. I pay her bills. >> $50. Come on, Anna. >> I pay her something because she asked me to. You said you're 21 years old. >> Listen, listen. I'm I'm going to speak to you seriously. >> Yo, so I came out here 20 years old. She asked me. I will take her to go get Yo, no. I'm grate I'm going to get my >> My girl is My girl is in there right now packing all my So granted, I am ready to leave. So you are the youngest age. So I'm going to relate to him because he is the youngesting age. And yes, I am lit. But granted, you would look at my bank account and be like, "Oh, this is a [ __ ] I should have be with." >> Granted, basic communication was not Ariana's forte, and she was not making a lot of sense. And if she was telling the truth about being loaded, then it shouldn't have been such a big deal to chip in a small share for the bills and rent. Instead, she was showing a major chip on her shoulder. >> No, Granite. Granite, Granite. Granite. She will leave me out here. I have no shoes. >> I can pay for mortgage. I can pay for this. I can pay for this all this. >> No. No. No. No. No. That's a I paid for bills. Now I'm sitting here. I'm sitting here. I am sitting here by the end of the day sitting on my TV. >> Yeah. Right now. Right now. Because I bills. >> You're supposed to leave right now. >> Granite. Granite. Yes. Right now. Right now. >> Pack up and grab and go. >> Granit. >> You're not making any sense. >> Granite. I pay most. I can over >> Don't touch me. You saw her, right? >> Obviously, Ariana's sloppy word salad was clearly a symptom of her terrible attitude problem. Screaming outside and making a public spectacle of herself. Ariana felt she could smack her mother around without facing any consequences. No, I don't. >> My mother utilized three of her children. >> Stop. Look forward. >> Yo, you don't want to like utilize, but I will walk into the toilet. >> Stop. >> Stop. >> Stop resisting, bro. >> This is the second time you have a cop on my >> Look, look. You won't see me. You won't see me because I am realized. Yo, I have money on my bank account. >> If that's you're going to continue, we're going to babysit here. >> Mom, they are literally arresting me again. Why you utilize a cop as they do the same thing that they did to all your freeing children. They got my DOING THE SAME. WHY HAVE MORE MONEY THAN THEY HAVE, >> BRO? BRO, THESE SHOULD NOT BE UTILIZED by No. No, bro. >> You're gonna fall. Stop. >> Stop fighting. >> Why are you doing all that? >> Because I need more money than that, bro. >> Ariana was definitely spiraling out of control. She clearly needed to correct her course or she'd soon have a rap sheet a mile long. As for her mother, she obviously loved her daughter, but things had gotten so bad that she could no longer live with that level of volatile behavior. >> Oh my. Get in the car, babe. >> You have no right. If I was you know the right if I was I see that I see. >> Just sit. >> Yo, I got more money than you. You and K. Come on. >> SIT. >> OH, come on. >> Breathe for two seconds. I DID NOT move >> because I DID NOT MOVE. I DID NOT MOVE. I DID NOT move for >> Babe. Babe. Oh my god. >> I SAT THERE AND WAITED for my right hand. >> No, bro. >> Okay, babe. Keep it there. >> Stop. >> Neighbors called. The window was open. They could hear all the ruckus. They coughed. All you had to do >> Stop. Stop. >> Stop moving. >> I mean, >> did you do coke? Did you do anything? I just >> I'm just like this. >> All right. We need your help. Okay, Ariana. >> Ariana, stand her up. feet down. >> All right. >> Alongside the booze she'd been drinking, her mother wondered whether her daughter was on cocaine as well. Whatever the case, Ariana was charged with assault on an officer and sentenced to 2 years probation. Unsurprisingly, she would violate the terms of her probation on multiple occasions. [music] On October 24th, 2023, in Oyola County, Florida, the cops were called to an apartment complex when a new tenant, Grace, reportedly assaulted a staff member after being charged a late fee. >> And this is the primary deputy deputy offic. Okay. So, he's going to he's going to be definitely doing the investigation >> from the top. Tell them what happened. >> Okay. So, I come into work 12:00. I'm a parttime employee here. >> Okay. >> So, I come to work. I sit down. I clock in. I clock in. I go through my emails. I go through my emails. I go and my manager tells me, "Hey, call the resident, let her know that she needs to come down here at such and such time so that way she can go ahead and pay for whatever she wants to pay for, figure out what's going on with it." I'm like, "Okay, cool." So, I sit down and as I sit down, I'm leaving the resident a voice message. I'm like, "Hey, Grace, I need you to come in at 4:30, speak with John about, you know, your your payment issues or whatever the case may be." And as I'm doing that, she comes in, walks in right there, comes in and I'm sitting down. I'm on the phone and she comes and chokes me, spits in my face, punches me. I spit in my mouth and yeah, that's when he came. I was like, "What the fuck?" Like, and she he came and took it off me. >> So it it it basically became physical the second she right right when she came in. You're like, "Right, listen." >> And she didn't even have time. >> Okay. So he didn't even have time. Was it happening before you even realized? Kind of. >> Okay. >> There's no way this innocent employee anticipated being choked and spat on by a resident in such a disgusting and shocking manner. But there was no doubt she was being truthful because the story was corroborated by the property manager and also called on CCTV. Deputy Amstead followed up by interviewing the female suspect. Grace, >> you were involved. >> No, you snitched on me. >> Okay. All right. Let me talk to her. Uh, >> I can't I can just tell you what physically happened. I can't tell you anything. >> That's all. Yeah. Yeah. So, if you Is there a place I can talk to her separately? Right here. >> Hello. I'm here. What the want to know? We were all here. What the You need me for separately. What the [ __ ] is separate? You getting too clever. Do your job. Do your job. Do your job. We came here for one thing. Your job. >> Don't put your hands next to my face. >> Okay. That's where you lost me when you [ __ ] I know. You calm that tone voice down get smacked. So, uh uh uh calm it down. Hand back. Hand back. Hand back. >> I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Ask your hand back. Hand back. >> I'm sorry. I'm sorry. >> Don't you think you're going to threaten me if I hit my plan? >> But you threatened me with shooting me when you got loud with me, right? You're going to shoot me, right? You're going to shoot me, right? That's what you're going to do anyway, right? You're going to shoot me, right? That was a threat. You got loud, so I threatened you back. So, we both threatened each other. That's why. >> Now, take me apart, please. >> I'll put him back. I got 13 minutes. >> I understand. But it said the car >> cuz I forgot it. I don't want the facility burned down. So 12 blow it out, please. Cuz the apartment says blow down and I accident. >> Okay. I didn't touch you. I did not touch you. Is that a Is that a lie? Okay. Stop saying that though, right? That's a lie. >> Although she went by the name of Grace, at that moment, she completely lacked any. In the blink of an eye, her temperament got hostile as she point blank threatened to slap the deputy. She then made false claims saying he'd threatened to shoot her. >> 241, >> take it all out. >> You got a light angle. Okay, I'm going to use the back of my hand just to see how this case goes. Okay. >> Okay. Have a seat. >> Be careful. You're gonna shut the door on my foot. Right. That's what you're going to do. Cuz I'm a Right. But that's right. That's where you [ __ ] right? That's where you Oh, DISRESPECT ME. NO. SHOW THEM HOW YOU DISRESPECT ME. SHOW THEM HOW YOU DISRESPECT ME. How you shooting me? Show them. >> Show them. Okay. We don't want to hurt you. Sit back. All right, Romeo. Grace's negative attitude was beyond extreme. While most people get extremely uncomfortable when dealing with such a high level of hostility, to their credit, the arresting officers had enough emotional armor to not take the incoming insults personally. >> I just said I smacked you. Yeah. Yeah. You lie. You want me to spit in your face? Cuz that won't be a lie. You want me to spit in your face? YOU WANT ME TO TOUCH ME AGAIN LIKE THAT? >> YEAH, HOMIE. The right way. We all got crack. Watch your mouth. >> Don't spit. >> WATCH YOUR MOUTH. >> WATCH YOUR MOUTH, >> MAN. Everything is being recorded. >> Cool. And your crackings, too. >> Cracker jack. Put your hands on me, homie. You doing too much homies. >> What's your last name, huh? >> It's not boss. What is it? >> Snapbox. >> Snapbox. >> Snapbox. >> How do I spell that? >> Snap box. >> And the first name? >> Snapox. >> Spitting's repulsive, but it was Grace's go-to attack. Not only did she spit on the victim, but she was also spraying her germs all over the back of the cruiser. But hey, what else should we expect from a woman who nicknamed herself Snotbox, right? Make sure you listen to these guys once you get inside. Okay. >> Can you stand over here for me? >> Respectfully get disrespected >> right here. >> Just like that. >> Okay, I understand. >> JUST LIKE THAT. [screaming] >> I UNDERSTAND. >> HELLO, MA'AM. Just need that signature affidavit there. >> I HAVE FREE WILL. CAN I? MAY I? PLEASE. >> JUST STAY BACK HERE. NO, YOU BACK THE UP. >> I told you to send me to the spot. >> He can finish up all so I don't give a I'm really feeling today. YEAH. YEAH. YEAH. >> ALL RIGHT. RELAX. Calm down. Everything's going to be fine. >> Put me over here with these disrespectful people driving. >> Make sure your [ __ ] respect. It's a two-way street. >> Okay, >> I agree. I've been respectful to >> not to open the door. >> Yeah, >> spitting on someone in the state of Florida is a misdemeanor battery. Grace, aka Snotbox, was charged with various offenses. She got a $6,000 fine and spent 45 days in jail before her bond was processed. And to the great relief of her neighbors, no doubt, she was banned from the property where she'd been living. On December 10th, 2022, an Ohio woman called police after finding a couple squatting at her trailer. As it turns out, they were friends of her ex-boyfriend, who just recently had gotten out of prison. Although evicted, he gave the squatters permission to stay there while his ex-girlfriend, the true owner, was staying with a relative. >> Sheriff's office, if you're IN THERE, COME OUT. SHERIFF'S OFFICE. IF YOU'RE IN THERE, MAKE YOURSELF KNOWN AND COME OUT. >> I OWN THIS PLACE. Is there more trouble again? >> Uh, well, we're trying to figure that out right now. Where do you live? You own this. >> I'm on my creek, but I mean, I own the trailer. >> Oh, okay. [clears throat] Someone's in here. >> Can you just come on down here? >> Whose dog is that? >> No idea, but it's it's been I haven't had any issues with that. He's supposed eating the loose food here. >> Is this your dog, Kajora? Is this your dog? >> What? >> No, that's not my dog. >> They locked it. Do you have a key? >> You don't. >> No. >> Open the door. Ros casher's almost open the door. I heard someone moving. >> You want us to force it open? >> You have no key? >> I don't know. >> Okay. Well, they've locked it. You want us to force entry? >> Are you going to blow my door away? >> No, we're going to kick it, but we're not going to shoot it. Get that laser out. >> You can. The back door would be easier because it's already been broken into. >> But yeah, do what you got to do. >> Okay. And you're the you own it? >> I own this park. Yeah. It's crazy. >> Okay. It is. Um >> Do you know who it is? >> No. The man in the truck was the owner of the trailer park, while the female owned that particular trailer. Her ex-boyfriend Logan was the ex-convict with nowhere to go. He had also brought friends along who were now barricading themselves inside trying to take advantage of free rent. >> The sheriff's office, come in. We're coming out. All right, last chance. Open the door. We're coming in. >> All right, boys. Ready? Yep. All right, do it. heard movement to the right bedroom right here. >> Sheriff's office, come in. >> Sheriff's office. >> SHERIFF'S OFFICE. >> SHERIFF'S OFFICE. >> HEY, turn back here. >> Come out here. >> Put your hands up. >> Hands up. Walk out here. >> Put your hands up. >> What do you mean? Get out here. >> Keep walking. >> Who else is in here with you? [laughter] >> Okay. Like, >> don't worry about that. >> Turn around. >> Turn around. Put your hands back. >> Turn around. >> Turn around. Put your hands back to bed. >> Is this your home? >> That's why we're here. >> What else is in here with you? >> Home. We're going to this second cruiser right here. >> I ask you what? What's wrong? >> Yep. I'll explain it to you in a minute. You're not currently not under arrest. You're just being detained for investigation. All right. I need you to tell me if anyone else is in that house. >> I just I just got I don't I don't know. Logan was Logan was here a little bit ago and he and he left. >> Okay. >> When asked if anyone was still inside, the squatter answered evasively. And as it turns out, there sure was. It was a female squatter who felt she could hide herself away in the small trailer without being noticed. But the cops had their guns drawn, and this was no harmless game of hideand seek. >> Sheriff's office. Sheriff's office. If you're here, make your presents now. The dumbest hiding spot in the history of the world. >> Please put my hand. I'M NOT ALLOWED. STOP. >> MAN, I'M NOT ALLOWED TO BE MY BACK. YOU'RE GOING TO PARALYZE ME. >> STOP. >> You're going to paralyze me. >> THEY QUIT FIGHTING. >> YOU PUT MY HAND BEHIND MY BACK. I did the MY DOCTOR'S ORDER. >> OKAY. >> I CAN'T DO THAT, MAN. IF YOU LISTEN for once, >> my order is your pain on your back. >> NO, I CAN'T. YOU'RE GOING TO PARALYZE ME. I'm not going to be ABLE TO WALK. >> YOU'RE actively burglarizing a house. >> No, I'm not either. Logan said we can stay here. >> Logan, >> you want to take her? Take her. >> Let's go. >> My leg. You guys just hurt my [ __ ] back. >> Okay. I saw you either. >> You guys got to put them in front of me. I can't walk with them behind me. >> Evidently, the female squatter suffered from a super rare medical condition and was under doctor's orders not to put her hands behind her back. When they brought her outside, she did nothing but complain about her various physical issues. And of course, everyone knew it was all just a lie. >> You're killing my arm. What? You got to >> Okay. >> No. I'm Go up in No. No. up against the cruiser. All right. Which changies are you going to fight? >> No, I'm not. I don't fight. >> Okay. Will you switch these to the front? >> I can't. >> She's claiming medical. >> Yes, it is. You see my scars in my neck? We're going to have surgery. >> We're switching them around real fast for you. All right. >> If you try to fight us, it's going to end badly. All right. >> I'm not fighting you. >> I'm not that way. I wouldn't fight. >> What's your name? >> Name's Jamie. >> Jamie what? >> Moore. >> Jamie Moore. Okay. >> All right. That'll be more soon. >> Oh, that might be a little loose. Don't hand tight on it. >> This one? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. It's going to hurt my arm. >> That's I mean, >> all right. That's It's fine. There's You got room in there. >> Hold on. Let her lock it. >> Give it to Adam. >> All right. >> We give it to Adam. >> Yep. Have a seat. What's your last name? >> Mhm. >> No, it's got to be more. What's your name? >> Dixon right now. Jamie Dixon. Jamie Dixon and Adam Moore. >> In actual fact, the owner of the trailer had no idea who the squatters were. The root of this came from trouble with her ex. He had already been evicted, but his belongings were still in the trailer. He'd been too lazy to file a motion with the court, which would have allowed the man to come and retrieve his items legally. >> You need to say something. >> Yeah, I need to get my backup. >> I don't care. So, what we're going to do is you're going to go to our jail for burglary. and resisting arrest. >> You don't tell us what we're doing. WE TELL YOU WHAT THE TO DO. >> I don't give a You're burglarizing a house. Shut your mouth. >> Go ahead and hold down. >> Yeah. Go ahead. >> All right. Chris, what's going on, bud? >> Logan has no permission to be here. >> So, I can't get permission from be here. >> So, you're going to jail for burglary? >> Huh? The the homeowner's right there. Clap off there. No. Huh? So, we messed your door up. So, I don't know how you want to fix that, but he's not supposed to be here. Uh I if he's been here, I'm going to call his call to see if we can get his uh bond revoked. Did he bond out? They >> actually >> obviously he was once again in trouble with the law, and now his friends have been dragged into his life of crime. Both Adam and Dixie claimed to be innocent. But if that was truly the case, they shouldn't have been so paranoid about simply answering the front door. >> I'm going to jail for no reason. >> We told you what you're going to jail for. >> Yeah, but Logan was just here. He told me he told me to stay here on GPS. >> Logan has no permission to be here and the court system. >> How do I know that? Can I talk to her? I know her. >> Who? >> Her? >> Nope. She's She's already said that you guys weren't supposed to be here. >> How do I know that? >> It's all on body camera. So, >> how did I know that? How did I not know that? Sir, >> how how can he turn to someone I don't even know. I'll >> be back 35. What reason? >> Burglary. Like I explained to you. >> Burglary. Why is it a burglary? Logan was just there. >> Then why didn't you come to the door when WE KNOCKED? >> I JUST GOT THE SHOWER. DID you see that? >> Adam and Jamie were charged with burglary while Dixon got a resisting arrest charge. They might have thought of themselves as a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde, but these two were just entitled squatters. [music] On May 31st, 2022, in Melbourne, Florida, a woman named Tanil had been officially evicted from her residence. Because they'd already changed the locks, she'd have to file a motion with the court to retrieve her belongings, and that process can take a few days. Tanal was furious about having to wait. So the way the way it works is apparently they're not very fond of your attitude. So >> I don't care because listen, I was real nice with them and when they want to when they want to show evil, I'm going show evil back. You want to go low, I'm going go lower. >> I think what you have to realize is >> No, you you have no hand here. >> No, I don't have no hand. But it's my clothes. It's my first dirty I'm not going to wear the same underwear for two weeks. No. >> So do you want to hear the solution or not? >> If the solution gives me my clothes and my child >> today, it's not going to get in today. Then I I I'm I'll be right here. I'm not going nowhere, officer. I'm rich. >> Look, I'm going to explain it to you. Whether you listen or not, it's on you. >> They're going What? The way it works is after you [ __ ] they inventory the entire apartment. >> They did that already. >> They haven't done it. They just ask. >> They just said that. >> Okay. They have to do it. It goes to a lawyer, their lawyer, their lawyer will then post it on the front door. And you have 15 days to do that. You can come back with us to get it at that time, but today you can't get it out of that. >> I cannot wait 15. I'm going to be wearing the same. He said, he said it should be a turnaround by Thursday or Friday. You'll be able to get in and get it. >> Thursday and Friday. I'm supposed to wear the same thing until Thursday and Friday. I'm supposed to wear the same underwear. >> They said they gave you a notice on Friday. >> They gave me a Listen, if my phone wasn't dead, I will show you everything that I need to show you, officer. Literally, my phone is dead. I NEED MY CHARGE. I NEED ALL OF THAT. I NEED MY STUFF. >> I get it. I I honestly >> Yo, I'm not going nowhere. I am sorry to tell you that I'm not going nowhere. >> Despite having the legal process explained to her, she absolutely refused to leave. At this precise moment, instead of venom and rage, she might have benefited from a little patience. But now she dug her heels all the way in, causing a massive headache for the cops, who she blamed for her troubles in a classic case of shooting the messenger. >> If they will throw out, I'll be fine. Off the ground. >> No. Okay, let them do the inventory and throw my >> Well, I will wait here till they done. I'm not leaving without my clothes. My daughter [ __ ] is in there. All that you're not here. This is not your apartment. >> What I'm saying is I hate to be the bad guy here, but >> Okay, but I'm not going as a cop. My only obligation is to pay our stuff. >> I will go to jail. I need my clothes. I need my daughter clothes. I need all that. I don't know. I need my stuff. I don't care. No. Where am I? When am I going to get it? I DON'T KNOW THE EXACT HEY, can I can I try and talk to you real quick? Hey, will you give me 30 seconds uninterrupted? 30 seconds. That's all I ask. >> Go ahead. >> Okay. They have to in inventory it from a legal standpoint. Okay. If they don't, they they can be held liable. So, they inventory it. It goes up to a lawyer. The lawyer then looks over your inventory of everything that's in your house. It comes back that they can release it to you. And they said that turnaround is normally 2 to 3 days. I said, "So, what? Thursday, Friday, it'll be open for her to get her stuff." They said, "Yes." said, "Come come Thursday or Friday, you can come back here with the officer and give." >> They can't throw not even a They said based on they said based on the way you're behaving, they don't want to let you in. >> Because I've been real nice. Listen, I've been nice with these people. And in fact, I No, no, no. I'm not because for one, I asked them, could I get my stuff out? They said no. >> That's when I said, "Okay, you got a kid at home." >> I'm going to be like that because for one, don't nobody buy my clothes. Don't nobody buy my food. Don't nobody do none of that. >> Nobody's saying that. There was only one legal option available to her, but she kept insisting on the impossible. She was now running the risk of being trespassed. Despite her terrible attitude, the cops didn't want to arrest her and gave her multiple chances to just walk away and come back a few days later. >> You have a kid, right? >> Is it? >> Y'all took her. >> Is it? >> What you mean? >> Took her. >> Is allit worth going to jail on? >> Yes, IT IS. BECAUSE GUESS WHO I HAVE to live for? I don't have Let me get my stuff. >> All right. Well, we >> No, I'm not leaving. I'm not leaving. I don't give a >> I'm not leaving. Let me get my stuff. Let me get my clothes. >> No. And you're not going to touch me either because guess what? >> Hey, what? >> Stop. Stop. Stop. Don't resist. >> I'm not resisting. I need my clothes. >> Give me my clothes. >> Give me my clothes. We cannot >> give me my clothes. >> Can you just choose to leave? >> Can I get my clothes? >> You cannot. >> I have nothing to wear. Let go of me. >> I have nothing to wear. Let go of >> Yeah, I did. >> Hey, are you are you going to go with >> No, I don't have to wear. Give me my clothes. [screaming] Give me my clothes. DAMN. At this point, she was unable to control her emotions, and her rage and frustration overwhelmed her capacity to think straight. The cops had to keep repeating themselves like a broken record. >> Let me get my clothes, and I'll be I'll leave. >> We literally cannot When they do the inventory, I'll leave and get my clothes. >> That's not our option. >> Well, I'll be standing right here for a few days. >> That's It's literally not our option. >> I'll be right here. >> Please leave. Please take this opportunity to leave. We hate to be the bad guy, but our hands don't have to. >> We do have to. I have an obligation. >> And I'm obligated to get my stuff. It's my clothes. I bought those things. So I'm No, I'm not going to wait Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. >> I have nothing to wear. I don't care about going into that crib, bro. I have somewhere else to go and I need to get my >> So can you go there for that? >> NO, CUZ I HAVE NOTHING TO GO TO. [screaming] WHAT YOU MEAN? This charger RIGHT HERE DON'T EVEN WORK. My phone is dead. All that's inside. FEDERALLY, I NEED MY STUFF, MAN. YOU GUYS DON'T UNDERSTAND. YOU'RE NOT UNDERSTANDING. >> WE JUST HAVE NO >> OKAY, CAN YOU GO IN THERE, GET MY STUFF? GO IN THERE, GET MY CHARGER. Go in there and GET MY CHARGER. OKAY, GO. If you can do that, go and bring it right here. >> Bring it right here. >> Well, I I don't care what you're talking about. >> I'm sorry. >> You want to give the official notice? Look, this is us last time telling you trespass on the property. In the event that you don't leave, you're going to jail. >> Trespassing because my stuff is still >> that doesn't make that doesn't really last I'm going to tell. >> You either have the option to get in the car and leave now or you have the option to go to jail. >> At that critical moment, the peaceful path forward was obvious. Get in the car, leave the property, and don't come back until you're told. It's difficult to understand why or anyone for that matter would actively choose jail over freedom. It must be a lack of emotional control that led this woman to such self-destructive decisions. >> Hey, stop. Stop. Stop. >> Stop resisting. >> I'm not resisting. Y'all watch more charges >> for what? >> For resisting. >> I'm not resisting. Let go. Stop. I am not resisting. Let go. Let go. >> Let go then. >> Let go. >> Stop. >> You're hurting me. So let go. >> Let go. Other shirt. >> [laughter] >> Stop. >> Stop. You're acting like a fool. >> I CAN'T BECAUSE GIVE ME MY [screaming] STUFF. GIVE ME MY STUFF. GIVE ME MY STUFF. LET ME GET LET ME GO. [screaming] LET ME GO. [screaming] LET ME GO. >> NORMALLY, people are given multiple opportunities to avoid eviction. With plenty of time to prepare before it goes into effect, but for Tanal, with her terrible planning skills and her outofc control emotions, she ended up with charges of criminal trespassing and resisting arrest. On March 25th, 2021 in Akran, Ohio, the cops were called to facilitate the removal of a woman who had barricaded herself in the residence and refused to open the door. The previous week, she got a court order telling her to vacate, but the woman ignored it. >> Hello. How's it going? >> Good. How are you? >> Good. I'm Laura. I'm a baiff trying to do an eviction. We've got somebody who's uh locked herself in the room, refusing to leave. wasn't anticipating it. So, I didn't run a background check or anything on her. I don't know what her if she has a case with her. I don't know anything like that. But, she's refusing to leave. So, >> I I did not I mean, >> she's a big girl and she's so >> Did you live here with her? Yeah, she's right beside my room. I'm just giving you a heads up. She is a psychotic individual. >> The neighbor's comments were completely unfiltered. His perception of the evicted woman living next door to him surely was that she was absolutely psychotic. His advice to the officer was to call for backup, which is exactly what she did. Meanwhile, the baleiff had some insight on Shirley's state of mind. I think I think she [snorts] actually wants to be arrested. So, she's got some place to go. She said something along those lines to one of the others. >> So, >> how long's she been here? >> Shirley, >> you reported us to who? Shirley, come on. Shirley, it's the police. Just open the door for us. Okay. >> It is. If you open the door, you would see. Open the door and you'll see three of us. Actually, >> hey, get out. Get out. Get out. >> Dude, get out. Come on, man. >> Shirley, what are you doing in here? >> My Get out, dude. Get out. Get out. Get out. >> No, the baiff's got to talk to you. Don't get out. >> Nope. >> Shirley had lived in the apartment for about 6 months, but by the looks of it, she hadn't tidied up the place even once. It was an absolute pigsty. As for the officers, they must have known they were in for a headache because she was planted on the floor with no intention whatsoever of complying with the order. >> Please get the out. >> Nope. >> Sorry. >> You know what? You know what? You know what? There there is nothing I can do. What the do you want? What do you want? The bail's got >> What do you want? What do you want, >> Shirley? Today is eviction day. >> No, IT IS NOT. YOU KNOW WHAT? YOU KNOW WHAT? >> I want y'all to leave me the alone. Okay, I'm not going to tell you again. I want you to leave me the alone. Do you get it? >> Do you get it? >> Do you guys get it? >> I want you to leave me the alone. >> Gets to take this room back. >> You know what? You know what? You know what? I want y'all to leave me the alone. Shirley, what's going on? >> I want you to leave me the alone. >> Okay. Did you >> Don't worry about what the I'm doing. What the going on with me? Worry about your mother self. Do you get it? >> Well, I get paid to worry about other people. >> Look, buddy. LOOK, BUDDY. WELL, YOU KNOW WHAT? I DON'T GET PAID. >> Y'all not trying to give me no [ __ ] money. And you're not going to kick me out again and throw me out on the streets. Do you get it? >> Well, the courts get the courts ruled you have to leave. >> You know what? I don't give a what y'all say. Get the out. Dude, do you not understand? I swear to God, >> dude. You need to go. >> Nope. >> You need to go. >> Nope. >> This has to happen. >> You need to go. You know what? If I paid him or not or whatever the >> Mhm. >> It doesn't matter. You're not going to keep doing this. Okay. >> If the endgame here really was to get arrested, then all of this was simply part of the plan. To be honest, the whole situation is sad. If Shirley couldn't manage to keep her room clean, she had even less hope of paying her rent on time or getting her life together. >> Get out. >> No, I got to go. Give me my money. I'll call it town and get the out. >> Or we can just walk out now. >> No, I'm not walking with you guys. You guys are You guys are Stop doing that. >> It's time to go. Come on. Excuse me. Nothing. It's time to go. Are you going to get up and go, >> Charlie? You're either going to weave in handcuffs or you're going to weave on your own. >> I'mma leave on my own. >> Okay, get up. >> Right now, it's time to grab your stuff and go. >> Get up. Let's go. >> Okay, >> no, there's no look. Get up now or you're getting put in handcuffs. >> Okay, let me go. Let's >> get up then. Let's go. >> Okay, let me put my stuff. >> We're not playing these games. >> It's time to leave. >> Get your phone. Let's go. >> Grab your phone. Grab your charger and you're heading out of here. And if you say no one more time or if you don't do this right now, you're going to go to the Summit County Jail. >> Let's go now. >> All right. >> Get up. Let's go. Grab your phone. Stand up. Let's go. >> Sure. Is there anything I can do elsewise to make this go faster? >> No. >> Put your hand behind your back. >> Hand up this way. Okay. >> Now, I'm going to ask you one time. help you all stand up. >> Okay, we're done playing games. >> Of course, it would be natural to feel sympathy for Shirley, who quite possibly was on the verge of becoming homeless. However, what's also clear is that she had months to come up with a plan to prevent this negative outcome. >> Why' you make this more difficult than it needed to be? >> I was dealing with the same people, >> right? But >> you guys are not gonna give me no money. So I mean >> why give you money? >> You've been evicted. >> You guys have been robbing me for a long time. [music] Are you serious? >> Hey, [laughter] obstructing the criminal trespass. He got tired of playing. >> Shirley was charged with criminal trespassing and also obstruction. Hopefully in the city of Akran, there are community outreach programs that can help people like Shirley. With community support, she can hopefully learn the life skills necessary to better support herself. This episode featured incredibly bad tenants ranging from renters to squatters to family members. If there's a lesson to be learned here, it's to cherish your home and the life that it nourishes. It's best to do everything you can to protect it. Thanks for watching and we'll see you next time.
