All of a sudden, all he said was, "Um, oh, mom." And then that was the end of it, but the phone was still on. So I spin out, spin around, noticed the victim laying in between the bunk right there. So, and >> was a suspect on foot or in a vehicle? >> He was on foot over here and then he ran his vehicle was parked somewhere over here because he came I was parked facing the street and so he ran from over here as I you know wrapped my head around what was happening. He ran from over here. He's wearing shorts and you can see like he was trying to hold his pants. black male kind of probably about my height or shorter and um got in kind of casually got to the vehicle and then when by the time I spin around I go okay that's what happened and then he takes off he takes off he noticed me he noticed me following him for a while he he stayed normal once he noticed me following he he he uh went through the first intersection I'm not familiar with the area and then I I cleared and went and I followed them all the way up to 301 north >> and then he made a left. There was a camera on the corner 301 north. Okay. And um he went north and right where the construction is he was stuck there. So I call back and go, "Hey, >> this guy is I called back 911." >> Hold on one second. >> Yeah. So we were stuck there. So I called back and I tried to get you guys' dispatch and it was she's like, "I can't hear you." Obviously, she advised me not to follow this, this, and this. But um I lost him. >> He he gunned me. The witness saw it happen. Uh, one of the employees here. That was one of the employees here. Um, she's waiting inside. She's really shook up though. The video captures it. It's not good enough to identify him, but you can tell the difference between the two people. So, the car pulls in, comes from this direction. Like I come from the interstate. Pulls in. Pulls in here. They get out. Then one of them, this the victim sits down next to his stuff here. One of them drives the vehicle over and parks it over there. They come back. They're talking. They're kind of pacing around. the one of them was pacing around the other the entire time. The victim's sitting there and then unfortunately because of the angle the suspect is behind the pump and then you just see the victim go down and then the guy runs around hits him like twice in the head with a pistol and then spreads all across the >> well the victim saw saw the whole thing. He's the one that went behind the car. He's supposed to be a retired cop from Ohio. Okay. I saw the whole thing, got behind the guy, got the tag number, called it out with where he was at. Um, we said when the guy realized he was being followed, he he booked it. >> We got plenty of everything. >> So, >> yeah, on the car, I mean, for the car.
