while police officers may carry service weapons on duty for their protection they are not permitted to use them unless there is sufficient cause and never to intimidate or harass citizens however some officers are triggerhappy and quick to draw their guns when it is completely unnecessary here are instances when idiot cops falsely pulled their guns [Applause] hello sir you okay all right all right an individual in a Grays silver Cadillac who is still sitting in our parking lot a black young male with a white hoodie and he the customer that um witnessed it and saw it um said that this gentleman has a gun okay that he saw him with a gun and he's in a great Cad loock and he has a white hoodie on correct and he's said it in the driver's seat of it it's a four-door silver Cadillac on May 7th 20120 the Denver Police Department responded to a 911 call made outside a Safeway store in Denver a woman had reported a black man identified as naftali Israel claiming he had a gun in his car along with his three passengers which were later found to be his stepchildren the officers held him at gunpoint handcuffed and detained him here's how the situation unfolded stop right there stop why do I his arrest was baseless as the 911 call was in fact false but this wasn't the last time police officers wrongfully pulled their guns on innocent citizens as we see in the next case M traffic stop 1836 in a traffic stop initiated on December 5th 2020 two Virginia officers from the Windsor Police Department officers Joe Gutierrez and Daniel Crocker were sued for allegedly drawing their weapons on a uniformed Army second lieutenant and spraying him with pepper spray the Army Lieutenant Karen Nazario had been stopped due to his newly purchased Chevrolet Tahoe which had no license plate yet after being pulled over he drove further and stopped at a well-lit gas station where he felt safer when the officers exited their patrol vehicle with guns drawn they yelled orders for him to step out of the vehicle when he refused to comply they pepper sprayed him here's how the interaction unfolded get out the car open the door slowly and get out get out of the car now open the door and get out of the at least $ million in Damages he also requested the court to rule that the two officers had violated his rights following an internal investigation by The Windsor Police Department disciplinary action
