we made entry to the house we ended up having to wrestle the child away from Jennifer um she's in custody for resisting arrest and child endangering at this point shortly after the arrest Jennifer calmed down and became completely docile and Cooperative it was a little too late though as she was taken to jail and charged with child neglect obstructing official business disorderly conduct resisting arrest and assault so far we've seen mothers acting weird putting their children in danger and using them as living Shields but this next mom actually punched her teenage son this situation unfolded on April 28th 2024 the boy called police alleging that his mother had a assaulted him huh where's your where's your husband at I don't got husband who are you arguing with we got a call that chase of a suspected kidnapper this incident took place on April 1st 2022 on a rainy day in Jacksonville Florida the cops who are pursuing the suspect watched the vehicle crash into a retention Pond suspect was identified as 32-year-old Pamela Cabrera she was the mother of the kidnapping victim who was just 5 years old the officers knew she was seen in the car and by the sounds of the suspect's Wailing chances were she was still there no made it off spotlight okay sit down Sit get in there to understand how things spiraled out of control we need to rewind to earlier that day when the suspect herself called police apparently her sister was refusing to let her see her own daughter jville 911 what's the location of your emergency I don't know D the exact address I think it's hold on and the some kind of jurisdiction mishap then the sister told the cops that she had temporary custody over the girl until Pamela got her mental health in order which she'd not done so far all right her okay it's up to date invalid all right it says that she is there is nothing in there that says that she has the right to give you the child it doesn't if you had paperwork right now if you gave me some paperwork and said hey you were allowed to see this child then okay cool we get the child to you okay but I can't just give you the child okay it don't work like that I'm saying but if I don't have but if I can get something that you had paperwork signed by the judge signed by the caregiver in the courts no I don't get on that no no it doesn't work like that sadly Pamela couldn't take no for an answer and as a result she decided to kidnap her own daughter after taking officers on a high-speed chase for 30 mil she crashed into the retention Pond ultimately leading to her daughter's death can you take that off of me this yeah I don't need that you're going to get cold okay okay we're just trying to give you a little decency all right some decency I love you baby God you everything like this why did I come out of there how did I come out of there Pamela Cabrera was hit with multiple charges she played guilty to several of them including aggravated manslaughter of a child and aggravated felony fleeing or attempting to elude causing death she was sentenced to 30 years in prison the mothers we've seen so far certainly won't win parenting Awards anytime soon but they're nothing compared to our next suspect this incident unraveled in Florida on the 26th of April 2023 the cops received a call about an armed assault what's up man what's going on my mom she beat up my sister chased her around outside with a metal B I think she hit her I'm not sure and I tried to take up her and she uh she hit me in my back let me see you back she hit me like right here okay and she hit me in my arm and in my elbow area right here okay with the back what man metal baseball bat okay wa what's your mom's name Jana Smith Maria Smith she's inside right Maria Smith okay all right give me a favor just stay right here do you mind Wai with him sir I told him I told him he can sit on my porch if you want yeah my part is be here me just wait right here right cuz we about to get a statement from you and all that victim has bruises along his back and right for contact mom she still has a by the time the officer got to Maria's House several officers were accompanying him he was obviously preparing for a potential Showdown because he asked his colleagues if they had less lethal meaning rubber bullets watch Palm Beach Poli window someone's coming out come out with your hands up please come out with your hands up please am I do come your hands she's good are you stop this I my kids are in the house what hold on here what is happening here what am I doing this for explain everything detained detained for what explain okay before the cops explained to her why she was being detained they had to make sure everyone in the house was safe as things turned out this woman's got a bunch of kids and if the son's allegations are true the cops here just did them all a huge favor by keeping their mother accountable for physical violence how old are the kids my 15-year-old's in the shower my daughter is 10 and my son is eight once in the shower what am I being detained for based on our Co which was what how many kids do you have my 17-year-old is somewhere running around here with the BB gun okay sweetheart come on down for us you're not in trouble not in trouble come on is anybody else upstairs who else is it you stoping come on buddy come on buddy it's okay it's okay buddy come on all right it's okay come on buddy it's okay the kids are visibly frightened but in this situation who wouldn't be seeing a bunch of cops arresting your loved one is not an easy sight while this was happening a female officer was taking a statement from the eldest son suddenly the neighbor's phone rang smash my phone call what what did she do this for nothing it it was really my little brother he cried over some cereal he went and hit my little sister he hit my hit my sister and uh she retaliated back and said don't hit me and you know my mom she's more lenient with the little ones the two little ones so she went back and forth from my sister uh put her out the house saying oh she don't want it I told you you could have stay with your dad I don't want y'all here this your dad hello hold on hello yeah what happened uh she hit me with the metal back in my back lower back area I think like middle back area she hit me in my arm and my shoulder uh I ran outside she's tried pulling a BB gun on me I took it and it was a rifle I threw it in the lake and uh she she threatening me with the bat again she got I'm telling Julia to unmute the phone cuz she was on the phone with gry so I could tell her to explain everything her and you know she just kept coming out back and forth with the bat threatening me so I just had to come to the neighbor and I I tried calling you and I call the police after talking to his father for about 30 seconds we got the entire story of what went down at first you might think that the woman felt overwhelmed taking care of five kids some of whom are almost adults however what the kids said next though showed that her discipline went way too far and she like beat her up outside and threw her around in the dirt and stuff nothing nothing he's saying I'm in trouble because she hit me with the back okay yeah so I just ran to the nail I tried she said she said um that I'm going to f up your sister if you say anyone anybody you're next that's what I told you on my phone she yeah she smashed my phone with a bad uh yeah so after I said after she said I said you're not going to hear her with that bad and she said what are you going to do about it I said you're not going to hit her with that back hey buddy buddy what what's your name back he's okay right now he's with us yeah I I got I got to call you back they going to talk to me I got to call you back as the boy recounted the story to yet another officer EMS arrived to assess him for injuries his account remained consistent throughout with additional details emerging each time it was evident he was telling the truth she said I don't want you and your sister here this is just all drama I just want peace and my sanity and I said uh your sanity this isn't gaining your sanity and uh I said like this isn't right what you're doing and she said mother eer and she went and grabbed the uh B and told me to get out and I was already on the phone with my dad I just wanted him to hear everything that was going on so he could be my witness and uh you know uh she I tried running over to the couch area and she swung at me and hit me in the back with the the B I tried jumping over the couch she hit me in my arm and in my uh elbow and I ran outside and I was just yelling at her and she uh what I think she tried she tried to grab the it was a BB gun rifle in the corner she tried grabbing it on me and I grabbed it from her and I threw it in the lake and I said um what you're doing isn't right at all to us and my sister's on the phone with my grandma and she used the phone and I tell her I'm I need to talk to Grammy and as I'm telling her to do this I said unlock the gate please I need to talk to my grandma or anything oh yeah let them check you out EMS then told the kid that apart from the bruises she didn't see any signs of serious injuries the kid was given the option of going to the hospital to get x-rays after which the officer took pictures of his injuries then it was time for the mother to give her statement can you raise your R for me swar that the stat give by the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you God all right so started with my daugh her and my younger son were arguing about popcorn I I don't know just little kid stuff so she got upset and that's why you see her out here throwing rocks because I told her she wasn't coming back inside of the house so she was out here throwing rocks uh running around here that's why just playing around throwing rocks no being malicious throwing throwing rocks trying to be defiant because she didn't want to listen to what I was telling her to do kids of course need to let out frustration just like adults tossing rocks in a pond isn't exactly criminal behavior and it's hard to imagine how anyone could see that as malicious but the suspect's defense was cut short and an officer moved in to handcuff her once again why again okay all right okay okay buddy it's okay [Music] so you're arresting me you're being detained not arresting but I'm not saying what that means mean you're not under arrest you're just getting why am I being detained if you're questioning me he was just questioning me I'm also B the West pal Beach Police Department um are you familiar with Miranda warrs I am all right so what I'm going to do is I'm going to read you off of this card verbatim just please verbally State let you understand them afterwards okay yes or no you have the right to remain silent and not answer any questions do you understand that I do all right so what's your first and last name Jana Smith Miss Smith okay Miss Smith can you just tell me what happened today my son doesn't want to listen mhm that's basically what it boils down to in the nutshell so to sum things up beating her daughter up and then attacking her son with a baseball bat is basically what happens in this house when you don't listen to your mom however she left out the most important part which was the the physical violence to make sure he got it correct the officer clearly asked her one more time if she ever physically struck her son with anything to which she responded no whether it was her hands or bad or anything like that no I struck the phone you could see the phone was smashed up I don't know if he still had it in his in his hand okay so how so did you were you aware of any injuries that your son has no from what okay so he's pretty banged up on his back and on his arm can you explain those where those might have come from on his arms and on his back for what I have no idea I don't have any idea either he we would ran through the house and he knocked over the table ran in the corner where the BB gun was I don't know how he's got anything on his arms or on his back it's definitely not for me well this looks like one of those he said she said things the woman claimed her son lunged at her and that was why she picked up the bat in any case the suspect was taken into
