You got to roll up the window on me. BUT THE GUY ROLLED IT UP. CAN IT GO DOWN SOME MORE? She's fine. Okay. Okay, who who can take care of the kid? Can that female Okay, who What about What He's on the way. Can that female up there take care of your child? Take custody. Okay. I No, I SAY CAN I TALK I'm sorry. My daughter is a little I'm worried about my child. >> Okay, who can take care of her cuz you're going to jail. You really going to take me to jail for no reason? I didn't even do nothing. I NEED TO CALL SOMEBODY, BUT MY phone is in the car. I DON'T THEY GOT TO CHARGE ME. They don't have money to pay for it. Can I just use my phone real quick? You don't care about that, either? Can that female in there She just had heart surgery. >> Can she take care of the kids? >> She just had heart I'm being honest. She just had heart surgery. I need to call somebody to come and get them right now. All you have to do is bring my phone. CALL I DON'T KNOW THE NUMBER FOR HER. BUT IF YOU GET MY PHONE, WE CAN DIAL THE NUMBER. It's in my car. My husband is on my phone. I'm worried about my daughter and I'm worried because I'm going to jail for no reason, sir. I understand. I I I I UNDERSTAND. YOU CAN SEE THE NOTE IN THE IN THE CAR. I just picked her up from school. Right there. I didn't mean I didn't mean no harm. I just got out the car to check on my daughter. I'm I'm trying to Yes. You could tell I know you're upset right now. We have paramedics checking her right now. She was calm and then she heard you scream that upset her, okay? From our perspective, we can't let you out of the vehicle, okay? But why am I going to jail? I wasn't getting out to check on my daughter. I'm a mother. >> now getting here. >> That's why I said, "Can I talk to you?" But you rolled the window up on Cuz you were screaming at me. >> crying. I'm sorry. >> I know you're crying. screaming. I didn't do anything. I'm here I'm here to help you. I'm here to help you. >> try to scream at you. Just sit back down. So right now you're going for battery and LEO. Cuz you you hit his hand, okay? By accident. Listen, this is what's going on. Sir, you're a human. Come on, man. I'm not. Come on, sir. You're human. Come on, man. >> I'm I'm not. I ain't never in my life touched a officer before, ever. I was Yeah, I'm going to report cuz she's accusing me of being racist. I I was recording the whole time, so if they would decide to pull it up that would have us all. I pulled her over for speeding. I'm like, "No, get back out. You're going to jail for resisting." And she's like, "No, I'm not getting out." And she wants to argue with me more. As she's arguing with her hands >> in the car distressed or anything when you got out the car? No, the kids were fine. She's she's like talking to me with her hands and she hits my hand as she does it. So I'm like, "Well, now that's you know battery and LEO." >> And intentionally Yeah, I mean well I I don't know if it was a like a strike, but she was talking and she hit my hand. >> Yeah. So it's an unwanted touch. >> Yeah. You know, during the whole situation of me telling her she's under arrest and you know, she's all upset about that. So she's like immediately, "I want to speak to the supervisor. This is racist." So Okay. She's back in your car? Yeah, she's back in my car. Hello, I'm Sergeant Partmore with the Sheriff's Office. Hi. Ma'am, just give me a second. Like what what's going on? What can I do? I didn't do nothing wrong. Okay. I got a call from my daughter's school. Okay, where did she go where she go? >> Right here. They picked the the pink note is inside my car. Okay. I got the note from the school. She has she had a fever a light fever of 99 and she threw up. My daughter suffers from fever seizures. So she has seizures when she has them. I didn't realize I was speeding when I came out of the school. He pulled me over and over the line. He asked me for my information, no problem. My I my driver's my insurance and my my registration is on my car on my phone. So he asked me for it and he said, "Ma'am, he did tell me, don't get out the car." For whatever he did. But when my daughter started coughing really bad, I got out the car to check on my daughter. He told me, "Don't get back in the car." I said, "Sir, I just want to check on my daughter." I told him when he pulled me over my daughter I just came from being being sick. My daughter suffers from fever seizures. If you're going to write me a ticket, write me a ticket, but I just need to make sure my daughter's okay. So he pulled me up he told me to get back in the car. I said, "I'm going to get back in the car." I'm not going to lie. I did kind of cuss him out. I cussed him out because I'm a mother. I just wanted to check on my daughter. >> Do you think there was possibly a better approach to that than maybe getting all worked up and cussing him out? Here's the thing is we it's a busy this is very busy. It's three lanes. Everybody speeds in the school zone. When we're asking you to get back in the car it's for your safety so you don't get hit. Yes, sir. If you are admitting that you are cussing him out at this point we we don't know who else is in the car. I don't know if your child is sick. Do you think maybe a different approach would have been like like, "Sir, I'm going to get back in the car, but hey my daughter's not feeling well. Can we check on her?" And maybe that way we know, "Okay, you're not coming at us in an aggressive manner." That is true. I can re-approach this car and realize, "Hey, you're not being aggressive. There might be a medical emergency. Together we can all step out of this car and check on your daughter." But when someone comes out of a car aggressive at us >> No, I didn't get out aggressive. Don't get me wrong. >> No, no, no, you just said cursing and >> No, because when I first got out I opened the door. Yeah. Maybe and at first I opened the door for like a second. I took off my seat belt. I got out the car. Cuz we don't know I said we don't know who's in the car and what their intentions are. When we ask you to get back in the car we'll come re-approach your car and then hey, look. Now that I'm back at your car and you got back in there it's for your safety and ours and maybe there's another way to engage you instead of what you you said cussing him out. I don't really >> well cuz I when I cuss at first what I told him I said, "I'm just trying to check on my daughter." >> Yeah, okay. I was rude, but I didn't do nothing wrong per se. You get what I'm saying? But when we asked you to get back I said when we asked you to get back I said I checked on my daughter and then I got back in my car. Okay, but when we asked you the first time to get back >> I did not listen. >> You could have said, "Hey, my daughter's sick." I did. No, I No, but I didn't say, "You come check on her." But I told him in the beginning that my daughter was Do you Is there there was no possible way as being a driver so you can have >> It could have been a different scenario. I'm not I could have said anything. I didn't have to cuss him out. Okay. But I still would have gotten out the car to check on my daughter. I'm not going to lie about it. >> my recommendation here, okay? You are still going to be going to jail for the resisting and getting a speeding ticket. >> resist. He told me to get out the car and I got out. So not to sound corny, but everybody have your innocent till proven guilty have your day in court. Everything you did was on dash camera on his body camera. So the State Attorney's Office can pull all that up and they they I don't want to go to jail instead of caring. State Attorney's Office can review Deputy Lane's body camera, review his dash camera and the report. Either one they can side with you that you weren't resisting. >> But then I got to wait all this time and I got a job and I have Like I said, innocent till proven guilty, okay? But I didn't do nothing wrong. All right, like I said and and just let him explain to me the way you know let them explain to me. We're not going to we're not going to undo this today. >> I'm sorry if he lied to you and acted I'm sorry if he did. I'm not saying he did or he didn't. Like I said, everybody but this is my everybody has their day in court. Either one you can have a public defender or you can have a personal attorney and they can review the case, okay? All right. She's looking to You want to speak to her? Is there anybody else in the car? No. All right, cuz they're going to they're going to put her in the back of the car. I just didn't want her to walk up to the back of the car and see mom back of the police car. Yeah, I know. I know. And what about the woman in you're taking her also? I don't even know who the woman is in the car. Okay. You'll you'll you'll be okay, all right? They'll take good care of you. You'll get back to her in no time. Yeah. Ma'am, if you need anything from us you just call. Okay. All right. She's checked out real well, ma'am. Do you want to get get her in the car cool off all the way with her you want to go to mom? I guess there's some pins she wanted to give you or something. >> Okay. You want to get the backseat? Is the air on? And no, the air got no air so I got to roll down the window. Okay. Yeah. All right. We'll leave the door open here. Two I know. Okay, okay. You're okay. You don't have to do paramedics we're going to take care of you. You'll be all right. Well, this this is your aunt your aunt's here. She'll take care of you, all right? Do you take seizure medication? I have an inhaler. Asthma pill pump, yeah. But I have an asthma inhaler so I have to get another one because Yeah, I when I was a kid I had I used to have asthma, too. Your aunt's going to talk to mom to get some information so you guys can pick your mom up tonight, okay? Yeah, I got to agree. For worrying out here. Can I get my bag real quick? No. Can I Can I have my inhaler from there by 911? There's no weapons in it, correct? YOU GOT TO YOU GOT TO SEARCH my car. She just got to pull out my water. Don't touch my [ __ ] That's a liar right there. I don't trust the red car. They come to me. I can't pull out no weapons. Come to me. You all right? All the police are with you. Get back in the car. Can I get some of my pins real quick that I said in the car? Yeah. Can you not read my lips? Turn around. I'm I can't read lips. >> You got on glasses so I don't I have to watch you. I'm going to go I'm going to go on this side. I don't want you back there. We have to make sure nothing's being passed through. Okay, we're going. We're going to go. We're going to go. That's why he's taking me to the police station cuz I cussed him out. He not playing Give him my phone. No. Yeah, give him my phone, please. Phone's going with you. It's your property. You don't want to take my phone with you. So I ain't got nobody's phone with me. Love you. He mad. He racist. I don't believe in I don't know. Like I said, I wasn't here for any of it, you know, so My my my goal is just to get to get you and I mean we got we got her daughter. I appreciate that. I've never wanted to wish bad on anybody. But like a circle like a circle you know how bad people do people do people What you What you What you put out you you get in return. Okay, he he needed to be in his death quarter. But I I but I'm guaranteeing you look back on it. It could be now or later. Look back and sit back and watch. Because what he did was wrong. I know I know it doesn't help when I say this, but I just I just want you to know that there is no court order that we have to meet, but I understand how upset and I understand where you're coming from, but I just want to make sure that you're aware that there is no court order that we need, so but um just try to see if you can call your friend to see if maybe they can come get you. Okay. All right. I'm going to get the car situated and stuff like that. Yes, no problem. And I'm going to take her home. You're going to take her home? Yeah, I'm going to take her. She's She's willing to take you home, just so you know. I'm going to But how you going to take me home? I guess we're going to Well, I'll find out. I'm going to move her car. I'm going to go get her son, then we going we going to figure out the two cars. >> If anything, I can move the car up to the left or something, park it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Because I live Okay. Cheers. If If If If I might do to be dropped off here, that's my house. Okay. I can take you wherever you want to, sweetie, okay? >> Okay. All right. We appreciate you. No, I appreciate you. So, you going to move it for me? Yeah, yeah, I'll move it and then I'll take the keys out. We're good. Mama, you can come over here. Come to my car. Well, I I can't drive. I'm not a driver. >> No, no, I'm going to drive. No, I'm driving. You just going to come in the passenger's seat. Okay. Yeah. So, come on, baby. You going to come to my car. Oh, okay. Okay, got you. You have one? Yeah. You want a teddy bear? What teddy bear? Got one spare. I'm I'm all Are you okay if I give her a teddy bear? Give her a teddy bear? >> Oh, yeah. Yes, yeah. Yeah, I got a teddy bear. You want me to get that for you? Yeah, go ahead. Okay. Uh-huh. Yeah, she's going to move the car over there and park it. We've already named We named it Fluffy. Thank you. All right.
