dispatched atted to a residence following a report of a domestic incident according to the dispatch the primary suspect was identified as Michael Gary the caller's ex-boyfriend earlier that day Gary had arrived at her house but she was too afraid to open the door as he was known to carry weapons a background check revealed that Gary had several active warrants and he had a history of showing up uninvited at the same residence in attempting to force his way inside when officers arrived at the scene they spotted Gary descending from the front porch it quickly became apparent that he had no Reynolds whose testimony further solidified the case against Gary she also provided a video recording of Gary yelling and pounding on her living room window what's going on what happened today can you protection order I thought it was a protection order we don't issue protection orders the police department the police department does not issue protection orders for non-domestic issues the only time is if we arrest somebody for domestic then we can put an emergency protection order on but if he's you guys don't never have a domestic issue then it wouldn't be a protection you just signed charges you signed a warrant on we had a domestic excuse like but you guys aren't so it you guys are argu but you aren't you're just dating which is not it'd be it'd be assault it's not a domestic if you if he lived with you and did that then yes that's domestic you know what I mean so I would also I I fully believe after all the previous calls plus what happened today if you put in for a protection order you have a really good chance of getting call it be on you go I did I call and when I went down there the guy I asked the officer I me I'm literally the whole ride down here that Victim Assistance and what we do not they're not they're a organization that's not they're kind of associate but they're not us we we aren't the same and where you went to sign the charges that's not victim's assistance that's the clerk's office you'd have to call the victim assistant hotline and ask for them like ask to get a protection or you want to have they'll work with you they'll help you get all your papers organized give you a court date then you have to go in front of a judge and basically plead your case that's the thing I just started my job I got I mean I get it they need us to bring their car over to them so do you have any other questions or anything can I drive the car no just um they might come back over after all s done to see if they can get that video so I'll keep
