You don't want to say anything? >> No, not even that. >> All right. Just cuz of this, they're going to come ask questions. They're going to check on you. Probably getting blood pressure and stuff. I'm going to take them both cuz they they both >> I don't want to deal. >> What's that? >> I don't want to deal with >> Yeah, probably. >> Yeah, let's walk this way. >> I just don't understand why >> she wants us to try to find her phone in that >> your phone. >> The suspect who was originally driving, Cortrell, was charged with resisting without violence and unlawful speeds. She pleaded no contest to both charges and both resulted in adjudication withheld, meaning the judge accepts her plea but did not formally convict her. She [music] was sentenced to 12 months of probation and to pay $559 in court costs. The other suspect who switched seats with Cortrell to take over driving, Demarca, was charged with felony fleeing, eluding, driving with a suspended license and reckless driving. She took a plea deal, pleading no contest to fleeing eluding while both other charges were dropped. She was adjudicated guilty and was sentenced to 18 months of probation, ordered to pay $4001 in court costs, given a one-year driver's license suspension, in order to participate in community service. The vehicle the suspects were driving was determined to be a total loss. Now, one of the things in life is realizing how fast somebody else's bad decision can become your problem, too. Watching this bad, that's what stood out to me more than anything else. See, once fear takes over inside of a car, logic usually leaves first. One person panics, the other follows it, and suddenly everybody's making decisions they probably wouldn't have made 30 seconds earlier. This is why tools like the Terminator is such a great tool. Viewers may see just a tire deflation device, but the real purpose is trying to stop the danger before full pursuit ever starts. Now, the Terminator was originally designed for US customs. Take away the vehicle's ability to run before innocent people end up paying for somebody else's panic at 85 mph. The police know a lot of dangerous nights don't begin with violence. They begin with one emotional decision that keeps getting defended instead of corrected.
