Connell who had eyes on a stolen vehicle the suspect Robert Mercer had two firearms in his possession and officers took every prec caution to get the suspect into cuffs officers first spoke with Lillian Nagel who stated that Mercer was inside of her apartment here is what happened when the officers made [Music] contact right hey out yeah where's yeah so when I drove by uh Mercier was standing pants pocket as well as the key to the stolen van officers searched the apartment as well and under the bed in the bedroom Robert was found in they found one of the Firearms hey can we get the lights officers asked him about the bullets he stated that A friend gave it to him he also told the officers that he did not know the vehicle was stolen and that this friend gave him the keys the officers took a swab of his cheek before they escorted him to akan General Hospital to get treated for the dog bite he's up front of your friends dude I just met him okay no not right now I'll give you one I'm that was it it was you just get the bullets in your pocket it's in my pocket I have no gun I didn't run from the guys I so do you think those bullets are going to match any of the same type of bullets taken from the burglary is now in the apartment that you were at and the girl that you just met today in the closet that you were hiding it was in the closet with me sir listen listen to me I can help injury he was given a summons for these charges one count of having a weapon while Under Disability two counts of receiving stolen property one count of obstruction and one count of resisting Robert Mercer was left with a bite on his arm and a lot of charges to his name hopefully the prison bed is more comfortable than the closet
