Open it up, open it up. Well, I'll be over the excess that body camera. >> You will. >> Okay, there's two. On September 11th, 2022, officers responded to a home after a 37-year-old mother called 911. She advised dispatch that her 19-year-old son had struck the mother of his newborn child in the past and was allegedly trying to do it again. >> I've told him over and over like it's time to move out or you going to have to calm down. >> Yeah. >> Like I I I got a 11-year-old. She's about to be 11. I'm tired of scrubbing my house. >> All right, your girlfriend live with you? Live with you all? >> She does. >> Okay. >> Um he just left. I guess he heard me on the phone call police cuz he left. >> Where is she at? >> Um she's in the house. I hope she's fixing the bottle for the baby. I told her to come out. We got a big German Shepherd in there. I think he's facing the door. >> All right, how old is he? >> He's 19. >> Okay. Since he's 19, you have every right to kick him out, but since he does live here, you'd have to go unfortunately through the court order you'd have to go through the court system to kick him out and it takes about 30 days unless he does something really crazy that we could like take him from the house. >> Yeah. >> Um but if she doesn't tell us he put his hands on her or whatnot, we don't see evidence. Unfortunately, she's like uh stick up for him or whatever. We don't We don't know what's happening but we don't know what's going on. We just know that he's there. Once the eviction takes place, he can no longer be in there. >> Okay, so is that going to take a little while? And my yard's overgrown, he won't get up and help out. He won't put his dog out. I'll get up and fix things and weed. I got to get up at 4:00 every morning. I work outdoors. When I come home, I have a break. Then I get up this morning, one day I think I'm going to sleep late. Only day I'm off and then he's in there with his bull crap on person. >> Yeah. >> And he's I I can't really do this something. >> No, I understand. I know and he being your son, it's hard to like let go. That's why you held on for so Um >> Oh well, I've told him several times like you It's time to move. Like your sister's moved out. It's time for you to think about moving out. You have family now. >> Yeah. >> But unfortunately, he thinks he don't have to go anywhere. But he keeps saying the same thing which he says, "Kicking out. Kicking out." >> Yeah. So yeah, take care. >> Cuz I'm going to be honest, when he's a little bit younger, he's been into all everything for kids, for domestic violence at home. So, it's like I'm just >> Yeah. >> I'm beyond just tired of it. I'm tired of my little girl growing up seeing that, you know? >> Yeah. >> Do you want me to get her to come out? >> Yeah, if you don't mind. >> Okay. I'm going to step out here just like I said my little brother. >> Hey. It's uh what happened today? >> Um we got into an argument. I was I had my baby in my hand. >> Started hitting you with what? >> That one. >> Okay. >> Mhm. >> Are those your clothes? Did he throw them out of the bag? Okay. >> You want me to take a picture of it? >> Do you have anything of value in the backpack? >> Where's the backpack? >> Right there. >> He told me I can play with my toys. >> Do you mind if we open this up to see if there's like anything else with damage? >> What's your name? L T S U. >> How do you spell it? Do you have your ID with you or >> It's in the house. >> That's fine. >> If it's not in the bag. >> What's your birthday? >> 2003. >> Tell me a little bit of what happened. >> I was in the living room putting my baby to sleep. And then he came in there asking me questions about some stuff. And then I told him and he was like, "Oh, I don't believe you." and all that. And I went in the room, put my baby to bed. And that's when he closed the door and stuff. He started getting mad. He started hitting me. >> Okay. So, what kind of question was he asking you? >> About some cash app stuff. >> Like uh did you receive or >> Yeah, cuz I was trying to log into my old account and then it wouldn't let me. So, I couldn't make a new one. I couldn't log in. I tried to make a new one. So, I just deleted the sending it. And then he thought somebody was sending me money, but it wasn't. >> Okay. >> Cuz my sister was trying to send me money to get her diapers. >> Got you. >> And that's what I got the diapers for. And he got mad and all this stuff. He thought I was doing other stuff. And that's when he started hitting me. >> All right. So, you were in the living room. You were trying to get him to sleep. He came in and asked you questions. At that point, you went to your bedroom? >> Yeah. >> You share a room? >> Okay. To put him to sleep? >> Put her to sleep. >> Okay. And then So when you were in the bedroom, you let her down and you were holding her. In which way like did he start hitting you like with your face like in your back or where? So he began hitting you. How did you get that like did he just hitting you like grabbing my neck and got you. He has so I guess he scratched me. Well, I'm going to have to press charges on the battery cuz you know you have the the marks and everything. So yes for the damage. So yes, it will depend on the judge you know all that. So after he was punching you and grab you, what happened after that? But he was still following me and they got upstairs and I went upstairs and his sister and he followed me and Darren was still hitting me while I had my baby in my hand. Then what happened? Then I came back downstairs and I knocked on her door after you saw phone and she like she told me to come in the room and she locked the door. That's her mom, right? His mom? At that point you called the cops. When she knocked on your room? Did you hear anything of the altercation the fighting or anything like that? Okay. But I know that it was that's the idea. Like I said this isn't the first time and I'm like I can't deal with this someone cuz it's just too much. You live here you just I live with him and how would it work out cuz the only place he would have to go is either out Texas and his brother North Virginia with his daddy. You got to figure it out unfortunately. So how you were closing up in there? He came outside and threw them right there when I was in her car. Also that stuff was on whose car? No, he came outside and threw them in the water. Okay, so where were your clothes? In the room. In the room in the living room? Where are you? The bedroom? How long have you been living here? >> Two days, probably a year. I started living here when I was pregnant with her. >> And she is the father of her, right me? So, that everything this got to be the case. So, if you want to do the eviction, you can you will need that report and I can accelerate the process of him being kicked out from here. As a victim of domestic violence Okay, do you have any questions for me? Call them and they can help you with all that good stuff. They can help you what the process is for follow that restraining order. Do you have any other questions for me or anything like that? >> Officers were able to locate the red Chevy Equinox the son had taken, but it didn't have valid insurance. Now, they just had to find him. As you'll soon find out, his friend's mother was not happy to see the cops show up to her house. >> Good morning. I'm looking for Davon. The person who who drove that SUV, the red SUV. Do you know who drove that truck? >> I've been asleep. Hold on, they didn't hear my dog. >> Well, he ain't the police looking for him. What you think they going to do? You going to find out right for him. Who else know? He ain't here. He's not here. >> Do you mind if we check in? >> Not really cuz I don't know. Well, then uh-uh. I ain't got time for this. Open the door cuz that boy in here he getting the hell out of here. He ain't in there. I don't know where this little boy at. >> Do you mind if I check in? >> Come on. Y'all playing yourself not to be in my house. But they want to see if that boy in here. And I don't like that at all. Well, I know he ain't in my room cuz I don't even know who the baby is. >> Who was in here? >> That's my son. >> All right. >> Bodeale, open the door. They want to make sure this little boy ain't in here cuz if he is, he's getting out of here. >> What are you doing? Nobody Nobody in my room. >> But, they want to make sure. >> Nobody in my room. Nobody. >> Swear >> Swear. He can't get in my garage. Cuz I locked my garage. Oh, well. If he here, they can go see. I don't know. But, he ain't be up in here trying to hide out over here cuz I don't even know that little baby. No, sir. >> Do you mind if I check the front? >> Well, I know he ain't in there with her cuz she don't even know the baby. >> Okay. >> She ain't got no toes. >> Yeah, okay. >> Yeah, my bad. >> Can I check that closet over there? >> He want to check the closet. >> Oh, yeah. >> Go ahead. >> Nobody in my room. Park in the driveway. >> Park in the >> The people didn't go. >> Do you mind if I check that back over there, sir? Do you know who's driving that red SUV? The Equinox? >> Oh, you want to be with my brother? It's his friend. I don't know who he is. >> Do you know where he is? >> No, I don't know. >> No. >> Okay. All right. Thank you. >> Thank you. I'm in my room sleeping. >> Okay. So, who's driving that car? >> What car? >> The SUV. The red Equinox. >> I don't know what you >> Well, we don't need to be parking in my yard. You have police come to my house. I don't know these folks, can you >> I'm in my room, in my bed. You see I'm about to sleep. >> Yeah, all of it was a bed, but I don't know what >> So, you're not driving? >> No. >> Okay. >> I ain't even got a license to drive. I don't drive. >> I want to >> I wish you would drive them folks off. He must have parked and ran off or something. They going to have this car towed cuz this one got towed >> I'm going to go to work. >> I'm going to go to work. >> Yeah. >> Thank you, ma'am. >> I'm going to go to work in the morning. >> All right. Do us a favor. Just turn around. Give us your car keys, honey. Put your hands behind your back. Yeah, two sets here. Uh put your hands together like you're praying, all right? All right, we're just detaining you, okay? Is this the car key? Do they have a launch? >> No. >> Okay. Do you know where that those are at? >> Uh um I don't know. I only talked to the jumper. I'm not talking anymore. >> Okay. >> Why are we supposed to be I'm not talking to nobody but jumper. I'm not talking to nobody but jumper. >> Who's jumper? >> My lawyer. >> Okay. All right. Turns out he was arrested again 2 years later for family violence against the same woman. The report also mentioned that they now have two children together. His lawyer wasn't able to get the charges dropped, but it may have helped reduce his sentence. He was booked for battery family violence, simple battery family violence, disorderly conduct, cruelty to children in the third degree, and criminal trespass family violence. On June 23rd, 2023, he pled guilty to all five charges and was sentenced to 24 months of probation. He was also ordered to pay $50 in fees. Regardless of whether you're a man or a woman, keep your hands to yourself.
