officers responded to a call in reference to a shoplifter that just left the local Dollar General the officer found the suspect waiting at the bus stop and she began by denying even holding the stolen items this one ends different than any other shoplifting video I've ever seen hi there hey did you just come from Dollar General yeah they said you shoplifted some stuff no you know anything about that no I just walked up on the bag right here I saw you carrying the bag no I was not carrying the bag I just' I Ki the bag over a little and then I that's it I sh that's I saw you carrying the bag so that's beside the point okay if you shoplifted we can work something out I'll probably just write you a citation but don't don't me cuz I can go in there and watch video okay okay you took some stuff yeah my ke at home I okay I get that I get that there's a lot of people in Athens who willing to help with stuff like that ton T ton of food ma'am there's ton ton of food drives there's ton of people who give money to people who need help so much stuff like that you don't need to be getting in trouble just for this and it ain't much anyway okay come on back with me me we're going to we're going to go back to um okay Dollar General you don't got anything on you I need to worry about do you come on in here am I going to jail no oh they're probably going to borrow you from Dollar General it'll have all your information on here in a court date for you okay but I got to write I got to fill all this out okay I don't know how far you are from home one but you know the Express Employment up there will put put you toward work somewhere on I don't I don't even F out the application up here I told you that I I don't it's all got like really really hard for me right now it I'm sorry I just I know there's procedures what just got I understand I was wrong and that was just it I was wrong hey but I heard about that pizza place what she talking about yeah they're trying real hard to find people and I know if you got a good job history then I do they they'll probably hire you over there cookout also I don't last for I can't have a cookout so where do I go pay tickets at where did I pay you know the courthouse downtown yeah that's where your hearing will be there's an address on here for you that I pay the ticket with um I don't know if you can pay you I you would call Municipal Court the phone number is here you they might let you pay it ahead of time you might have to go to your court date I'm not sure how that work I'll call that Monday you can yeah Absol absolutely who's with your kids right now my little my my oldest child how old is your oldest my oldest is 23 and she got to get ready to go to work in a few this shouldn't take too long where she work at it could have been worse so you know I'm just looking at that that's why you're not going to jail and that's a good thing yeah I just what I'm looking at how you could go work what's your address you walk all the way here no well halfway then called the bus are you on probation or anything M no sorry I'm so sorry I am this is 11 this address I I mean I personally I got four kids I understand I did too um the courts wants you to get an email um so they can email you about anything I don't know why if do you have one see that's something El not phone saage I don't know yeah her know she's bored 2 years is the max you can borrow for I'm so sorry we never you want no more you want the full two years whatever Andrea said she just said you had the authority to bar and she wanted her barred so two years okay it's up to y'all um I think we can do as little as 6 months and as M much as two years so that's really up to you what you want months cuz it's going months I don't
