They're going to tell him he's bar for two years. I don't know. He might talk to you. He don't like uh Hey, sir. What's your last What's your first and last name, my man? Talking about uh from white folks or black folks for me. That way I know. Okay, remember L. Lumps. Count his money on camera. All right, I'll do that right now. Probably got just count it up so when it gets to the jail they know exactly what he's got. He wasn't playing. He had a 20. He has a 20, but he said he had 20. So we want to make sure it's counted here on scene so he doesn't get over there and say, "I had $500 in there." He's got 42 bucks. $42. All right. That's the government name that they got for you. Yes, sir. And then what's the first thing? Right. What's the first one? No, you loosen the cup up. They got to eat them tight. I mean, I could let the other officer know. I just got to get your information first. No, no, no. Loosen that cup up some pinching my skin. It's pinching your skin. Yeah, the right as loose as they're going to go. Huh? Well, then let's go and let the windows down. It's hot back here. It's down. Put the air on. The air's on for you. They there no air vents back here. So you get the windows. That's it. But let this window down here. No, y'all don't know me. I just got I mean when you can't fingerprint me cuz you know why they rob me five months. Well, when the car starts moving, you going to get a lot of air back here. But the car can't go nowhere. We need to figure out who you are first. But y'all figure that. Okay. Oh, you want to come let them know? Yeah, I'll figure out a way to get this out. Hey, you're barred from transit for 2 years. I don't give a That's great increment. Okay. He chased you with the knife. Let me get Let me get your information. You hear me? Put the sirens on. Can't get me out. It's hot. We got to talk to some people real quick. The air condition is on, man. It ain't on high. Uh, it's on high. I think it's a partition which we can't open. You said the guy on the bus was recording. Well, we have cameras, but everybody on the bus did see. My operator did see as well. He knocked my phone down. I was on the phone with the dispatch with the 911 dispatch. He knocked my phone down in my USB that I had knocked it under the car, which is what I just picked up. And he was trying to come close to me and the driver try distancing. And that's when he he pulled out the knife. Mhm. Whole reason why they became aware of the knife was cuz he was pulling it out in the bus as well. And the other passenger saw And he tried picking up that uh garbage can, too, but it's attached. Like I said, when he was chasing me with a knife, he said he was going to try to All right. So, what happened? All right. So, earlier. All right. This happened earlier. I say when when you say earlier, like 20 30 minutes. 3:30. Started at 3:30. 3:30. I picked him up down here. I had to pass him because he was drinking at the bus stop. He had an open container. So on my way back down, he caught me across the street. Where at? Um right across from the bar city. There's literally a bus stop right across and I'm inbound. So the bus stop off his side of the street. So then he got on the bus and he was cursing at me and asking me why did I pass him. I explained to him why I passed him. So when I got to that bus stop right before this bus stop, I went on to call my supervisor and said that he was cursing me out very, you know, out I rate and um my supervisor was already behind me and I pulled over. He asked him to get off the bus. He got off the bus. So then when I got here an hour later, he I was picking up passengers right here. I was instructed by my supervisor to not pick him up. Yeah. He got on on his own accord because I have to open the door to let the passages on. He was just getting on with me. I didn't let him or he got on. And so then I was like, "Well, I can't I can't take him cursing and doing all." So I told him I said, "Hey son, you're going to have to get off the bus. You know, you're not supposed to ride. You were told to." So he appeared to be drunk and was just cussing people on the bus. So you were kicking him off then, right? Well, well, I was instructed to not pick him up for the rest of the day. Okay. Because he was cussing and all that kind of stuff. So, I told y'all that he was going to have to get off. So, then he started cursing and making threats. Kids on there telling him that they got somewhere to go. Yep. And um he was, you know, making threats and then he pulled his knife out, I guess, to show them. I didn't I couldn't see it, but I did hear him say something about a knife. He pulled the knife out to show that to them on the bus, I'm assuming. So, you didn't hear what what was said to make him do that? Hit the passengers for the people on the bus. No, he was already talking. Was he did he sound angry like he's threatening anybody? Yeah, he sound I don't know if he was making threats. I know he was threatening me. Okay. So, basically you hear him pull the knife out. You tell him he's going to have to get off. He can't ride it for the rest of the day, right? I told him he had to get off before. Before? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So, then then what happened from there? Then from there. Okay. Hey, I'm Officer Thomas at Squad County Police Department. Did anybody record anything of what happened? I felt dead. I tried. You recorded? I just I waited for my supervisor to come. My supervisor came. He was make calling the police. I was standing right here. You know, you guys got the video. You're not exchanging any words with him cuz we don't want to, you know, add fuel to the fire or whatever. And so then, sorry everyone, but if you can make out what he's saying in the video, more power to you. Add it in the comments. After the video, they explain to the officer what they saw all the way up to the knife being pulled out. Everybody I guess you think that Jesus [Music] he was like, "You know what? I'm just going to get off the bus to let these people get to where they need to go and so forth and so on." And so then um that's when when my supervisor was on the phone, he pulled his knife out and started acting like he was going to stab. Okay. So the supervisor was standing out here here and he got off the bus and he was like, "Sir, don't don't come any closer to me." He was like, "Don't come any closer to me? What do you mean don't come close to you?" So then he started getting close to him and I guess on the bus to close the doors cuz well he got back on and then he got off I guess to come at my supervisor. So then I closed the door and as I'm looking he's coming at my supervisor like he's going to like literally try and chase him. And then how far after that did before we pulled up was that like did we show up like right as he was coming at him or um my supervisor had went over there and then that's when Yeah, he went in there came out and that's when y'all started coming and he started walking that way. So when he came at the supervisor, was he making threats that you could hear? Yeah. Uh do you know what he was saying? I mean, pretty much I'm I'm I don't want to say the wrong thing, but yeah. You if if I come at you like this, obviously I'm saying I'mma stab you. Oh, and he came right here. That's what I'm saying. Did he say that? Yeah. He said he was going to stab him. Yeah. And he said when when I had my doors closed, he came right here and hit the glass and was like, "I'll slice your throat, too, though." And then can you tell me exactly what you saw happen? um got on the bus and he was like shut about cuz he said he sat down at her and she kept talking and I stood up and having um told her out and pull out the mic. Oh, the one that's cocoa. No, when he said that, I'm assuming you were feared for your life. Yeah. Okay. I know it's silly question, but you need to know. Yeah, definitely. I'm I'm They think I'm calm, but it's I'm shaking my booties cuz I don't experience this stuff. Yeah. I had one incident with him already. Did he stay on the bus the entire time? Yeah. Until the supervisor got there, which was him up there. This was around So, the supervisor kicked him off up there. Yeah. Around 3 around 3:30. So, how do you get back on the bus this time? He got back on the bus cuz I was letting passengers on. Okay. So, you opened the door, let passenger on. He started to get back on. You told him he can't ride and reported to your supervisor. Supervisor shows up. He makes the threats to your supervisor, comes at him with a knife, taps on the window, and said, "I'll cut your throat." Yeah. And he was cussing at me and making threats while while I was waiting for the supervisor. What kind of threats was he making? Saying that he'll sl he'll slice my throat. He's like, "Sister, so he said that multiple times." Yeah. I'm going to go speak with your boss and figure out what happened from his perspective. So, thank you. These w the two witnesses. Yeah. Yep. They got the video. They're going to send it to you. I can't I can't read that. So, they're saying that he got off the bus, pushed him. Yeah. Shove the transit employee. Which one? Her got off. And that's that's my pen, man. Oh, my bad. Very good. Could you just walk me through what happened? I'm so she Are are you done with her? Yeah. Okay. Can I I'll be right back. One second. Not too tight, man. Sir, I tried to help you. How you trying to help? You ain't know something. If you would have told me your information, we could have had you all the way at the jail pretty much by now. Loose the cuffs. I mean, I can't help you take the cuffs off, my man. But the cuffs come off as soon as you get to the jail. The faster we figure out who you are. Get there. You ain't going to find no fingerprints cuz my hand. He's been giving us issues all morning and we just instead of boring the guy, we told him to get off the bus. Another supervisor told him to get off the bus up there. That bus, I believe. So, yeah. Yeah. Then they came down here. Yeah. And boarded Yeah. boarded her bus. So, she let me know. She said, "Hey, it's the same passenger. He's boarded my bus. I need you over here cuz he's not, you know, getting off the bus." I was, "All right, I'm in route." So, I was on Pound Street. Ain't you the same dude that we was out with just a few days ago? Problem was I'm a ain't the rac but they reaping the benefit we white folk. You trying to get If you trying to get the loose cuffs off the cuffs off, my man. Sit back here quiet. Put the arrow. If you trying to get the cuffs off, my man, we got to figure out who you are. You got to help us for us to help you. No, it don't work that way. All right, my man. Headed this way and she called me again. She said, "Hey, some passengers said that they seen a knife on him and he's going to use it." So, I was like, "All right." That's when I called 911. So, I was on the phone with 911 as I was coming down here. Pulled in over here, saw him. I was still on the phone with dispatch, and it was no issue cuz he was sitting over there just cursing up a storm, but he was sitting inside. When he stepped outside, I started stepping back with my driver and he kept inching toward us. And I we kept stepping back. As he stepped back, he stepped back and he kept walking towards us. But he walked at us. I stopped him and that's when he started attacking me. He had another phone was dispatched and he knocked that underneath the car. So he started swinging the knife at you. Yeah. Okay. And she thought I got stabbed. I don't see anything. I mean he he knocked my phone out and everything else. I asked him to remove my car and pick that stuff up. Me too. And while he was outside, she went back in the bus. I told her just to stay inside, shut the doors and he kept uh from there to here. He kept chasing me with a knife and I kept stepping back. I'm assuming that ended about here when we pulled down to him. Yeah. And he probably taking up that garbage can too, but it's it's attached. But he was trying to take that so he could throw it on me while he was slinging the knife and I just kept tapping back. Okay. He did say he's a gang affiliated. Said he was going to me threats. What did he say specifically? He said I'm a gangster. You when he was when he was trying to swing the knife at me said he's an Yeah. And it's a dumb question about it. I'm assuming you were afraid that he was gonna actually he assaulted me there. Like I said, he knocked my phone out. I was on the phone with dispatch by 100% if I didn't if he asked any of the witnesses on the bus and my operator. I hadn't moved back. My son died up here. Where at?
