it's a black sedan we're not going to be chasing him he's headed at a high rate of speed into downtown on lane of travel just notating that car that collie I'm almost set a car head on another officer found the suspect but he had already crashed into multiple things this is when his story gets confusing you'll see what I mean yeah cat came across the road a cat came across you have your ID on you and was about to run into another car uh so we turned on our lights and that alerted the other car and him the problem at which point he sped off down the road in the wrong lane and do coming traffic I can't drive I told you he can't drive I guess what we need to know at this point I I think I already know but I mean he wasn't supposed to take the car right you're you're in a you're in a tricky position where if you allowed him to take the car you could get locked up but if you didn't allow him to take the car then he stole the car so I'm just trying to figure out how I mean like your insurance is going to ask questions about that and I you know I need to know for the purpose in my case it sounds like you didn't know that he had the car now at this point if he is arrested for stealing the car that doesn't mean that you have to like cooperate with the prosecutors and you know have him put him in jail forever for steal you don't have to go forward with it but I need to know um and recklessly and so officers did try to stop him and he fled um and that's what caused the car wck is cuz he was just driving very fast we weren chasing him he just wrecked on his own he did tell me that he was texting and driving and that's when he drove upon the sidewalk and crashed out so there's just a whole different there's a lot of factors in this let's ask Grandma who his mom is she yeah what is his mom's name and you said she said yeah okay okay um right now he's in the police car yes ma'am we did him he is I'm still not happy I mean his story is just so bad uh but Grandma describes the similar things there's just no jacket for him if if he's who he says he is which makes me uncomfortable I feel like your first crime probably isn't stealing a car running from of the police yeah no not really not it doesn't look like it but so he's not the he's not the other guy I don't think I don't think they wear their hair similarly they have similar facial structure I don't think they're the same guy okay so he borrowed the car from from that guy from that guy it's his story he says that guy's his mom's boyfriend so we do have an address for her yeah she's it so Grandma he was over talking to the home this guy sitting at the table good was just all for time waiting on the police to leave yeah and then maybe he was texting and that's why he almost hit that car head on I don't yeah that track that that makes sense and then once the police were behind him again he gunned it and didn't stop so we cut it off and then he tries to make the left here and believeing we were still pursuing him I even though we many miles back yeah we cut that off way back there we cut that off the yep before the light but when you're as stn as he is well I my main concern one I want to make sure that he is at least 17 so we're not taking a juvenile J because that's going to be a problem yeah I had even thought of this I assume that part was true that's the yeah that's the biggest that that's number one I don't think we're going to try for the the drugs part of this did he have drugs I I can't find anything he looks impaired to me he acts impaired but maybe he just not confident yeah he's claiming that the Camion or whoever is supposed to have the car is the M's boyfriend I thought like Grandma so it's all kind of lining up to being the boyfriend he said M's boyfriend is in his 20s mind blowing isn't it this guy is in his 20s um he said tonight he got off work at Wendy's um came home wanted to go to the store so he walked into the mom and boyfriend's bedroom and said hey can I borrow your car they didn't say yes but he said based on the grunt that the boyfriends made he assumed it was a yes so that story is like deteriorating every time he tells it and so he went the store was closed he went RAC track it was I guess open or I don't know but then he said he came this way cuz his roll was this way um he cut a car off and almost hit it and then he swerved to not hit it and then he swerved again and hit that and then wrecked and here we go he he left out the part about running from the 40s yeah okay so he's seven kids yeah that right 2003 he's 18 I think he just turned 18 this year as long as he's over 17 he's not a juvenile that's he's not a juvenile we're we're 100% confident about that yes so but the boyfriend is supposed to be over at that address the boyfriend and Mom are in B asleep yeah I think we should go talk to them we need to go wake that before we take him to jail even because we don't really know what we're taking him to jail for yet we know for sure that there's a bunch of stuff we should take him to jail for he's got traffic charges to go but I mean we might also be taking him for a stolen car yeah give that
