a residence following reports of a possible domestic violence incident while on Route dispatch clarified that it was not domestic violence but rather an altercation between two males upon arriving at the scene the officers met with the caller Brandy Yoder Brandy is the mother of one of the men involved in the fight as officers spoke with her they heard screaming coming from around the side of the residence following the sound they encountered a female outside the upper apartment screaming on her porch okay are they they all fighting I've been trying to get him to come down but I'm not going help what's going on I do this we just went from 0 to 12 these people are driving me crazy and I need out of this house I need out of this house so badly what people are driving you crazy can you get that apologize the police L me and saying that I'm doing well she called because she could hear that there was fighting going on so whatever altercation happened that's what she called about and then when we got here he was clearly intoxicated yes he is so can I tell you what happened down there yes sir yes sir so what happened down there I was talking to him I wanted him to sit down so that we could talk to him talk to you so we just get the side you know the story what's going on he kept trying to get up I asked him to stop he shoved me so then the then I know and I didn't do any of that I officers able to piece together what had happened what's up man I heard you guys were looking for me so I was walking out here to talk and he pulling out so oh yeah I appreciate you hanging out for a minute is there like war or something or no not that I'm aware of I hope not but yeah me too how's it going man right okay appreciate that I think you guys just wanted to know what happened yeah basically because when we showed up we were told that there were two men that were fighting and you were gone I had left well cuz uh like me and her had been fighting for like a week right and uh she takes him to the liquor store he buys some out alcohol I don't drink so uh like I don't like being around drunk people and with me her fighting I'm in my computer room and he like comes in and sits on the ground and like you mind if I hang out for a while and I was like well yeah kind of like me and her been fighting like you being here now is she your girlfriend yeah okay I'm like uh you being here drunk like you're not helping the situation uh and then like he I was like I was like please just like go back out in the kitchen or something and then uh he starts stag standing up staggering like and then he starts talking about he scream that when was yeah I'm I'm I'm just like what like he's he's like some she's lived here 5 years you've been here 5 months I'm like are you serious like like Cordell please leave please go downstairs and uh then he like starts calling me pushes me and then like I yell like get him the here so she comes and she starts like he he starts charging at me and uh she's grabbing a by shirt pulling him and uh then like I have this little closet thing I pushed it in the way so he would stop coming at me and then he like he grabbed this golf club and was like reaching over trying to snu me with it and then like she took him to the ground so I hopped over both of them and I ran out the door you know I'm I'm not going to get attacked with a golf club my own house house like I mean that's definitely way to handle it and I'm not yeah I mean he's he's bigger than me like I'm I'm not I'm not a fighter like I'm not going to put myself in a situation where I'm going to go to jail because you want to be drunk so we and correct me if any of this is wrong we were told that your girlfriend doesn't typically drink either but this particular time because me and her been fighting and he was bu alcol uh you know she thought it was a good idea the whole time she was want to know if you were okay right she kept asking uh she was pretty intoxicated right and so is he that's why I was just sitting in my room like I'm like she's because because we've been fighting she she's been playing music that she thinks is gonna like offend me like and basically just all out fight between yeah yeah's involved right and I don't like being around drunk people so I tried to just stay in my room just ignore them and then that's when he came in and sat down and I was like sound like you did the best thing man yeah I mean out of everybody yeah I'm not trying to I'm not trying to mess up my job that I just I've been there like a month and I'm doing really good at my job and I'm not trying to mess that up and I'm not gonna let somebody else mess it up for me right so now and maybe we we misunderstood because there was a lot that was going on when we got there was a lot uh someone was saying that you might not be allowed to stay there but if you're living there it's because she's on Metro are you on her case I'm not on her case and uh the landlord okay so I I work on my mini bikes and uh like the upstairs neighbor and the downstairs neighbor both complain but they never even came to me to tell me like hey man you know you're being loud like can you keep it down a little bit they never even did that they just went straight to the landlord and then the landlord told her I had to get all my bike stuff and get out uh get all my bike stuff it's it's either I get all my bike stuff out uh I leave or she's getting evicted itau in Middle it was an ordeal when we showed up right so and like it's like I'm in a situation where I don't know what to do I'm thinking about going to the Salvation Army you know like until you get on your feet I mean if you want to get out of the my environment keep me from doing what I'm doing you know and if you don't mind me asking you don't have to answer this or did you have a problem with alcohol before I don't drink myself oh that's why I was asking no yeah I just don't drink I just find drunk people uh obnoxious and annoying and mix two of us and I don't think I could uh get drunk because I know that's how I'm going to act yeah so I'm just like I just don't drink there's nothing wrong with that um I I I just got out of prison you know like a two years ago uh I guess like year and a half you know I'm trying to just keep it straight and narrow and I can't let other people's actions you know are you on no nope nothing do you know any do you know much about uh Cordell at all uh no I know that uh he isn't all there sometimes it's like one minute he seems like he knows what he's doing knows what he's talking about and then like the next minute he's not all so I guess my next question would be he pushed you for sure right yeah did he actually hit you with the golf club no no nope you don't want press char No no no no I mean it'd be a different story you know if like I got the out of me but I mean like I saw an opportunity to escape the situation you did the right thing I mean they were both right there on the ground like they they had fell or something when she was pulling him and uh like there's like a my computer's right here and then here they are and then here's the door so I just I just hopped over both of them and do you have a do you have a key to get in yeah have you been back since yeah yep okay that was going to be our yeah she just told me that uh that yelling up telling her that uh she like all this and uh and then she said and G's offic is looking for him I'm like but then I started thinking I just figured yeah I just figured that's that's what was going on Tyler explained that he and Victoria had been arguing on and off over the past few days that day Victoria had purchased alcohol for herself and Cordell which led to a verbal dispute between Tyler and Cordell Cordell grew increasingly agitated and at one point grabbed a golf club and came at Tyler that's when he fled the scene for his own safety despite this incident Tyler expressed that he did not wish to press charges against Cordell I'm A2 excuse me y are going I'm up straight and 90 de on prepic and sitting in the back seat with my arms at 90 degrees excuse me L let me may I smoke a cigarette before go [Music] but now they haven't had a [Music] correspond Cordell step out for me I have responsive systems on and I don't have um A14 respon system on my feet man Pi them up can you
