Put your hands down. >> On June 14th, 2023, officers responded in reference to multiple reports of a disturbance in a neighborhood in the beautiful Athens, Georgia. One of the callers reported that a man was knocking on doors and he even saw him running after a woman. The woman eventually comes out of hiding to corroborate the story. >> Hey, sir. You doing all right? Sir, you doing all right? Excuse me, sir. Sir, how you doing, man? >> You doing all right? What's going on, >> sir? We just want to talk to you. That's all. We just heard that you were around banging on doors. We just want to know what's going on. Do you have a name? Do you have an ID on you, sir? >> Don't need to look over there, man. You look at me. How you doing? You have a name? >> I just want to talk to you. >> That's all I want to do. >> No, for sure. We have contact with the mail. He's uh possibly 1096. He's not really talking to us. He's talking to himself. >> What's going on, man? >> You okay? >> I'm Ethan. What's your name? I'm Chris. Like to get you some help, but first we got to know who you are. >> Hey, you mind just meeting with the caller? >> Yeah. >> I think this guy's homeless. 1096. >> Are you okay, sir? >> What is your name, sir? Do you have any ID on you? What was that? What was your name, sir? I didn't I didn't hear what your name was, sir. I'm Ethan. Are you okay? >> Can I help you? >> Do you live here? >> Are you okay? >> Yeah, I'm good. But I was just worried cuz there was another little girl and she was walking back from the dumpster over there and he was just like full run sprinting at her. She was screaming. Okay. >> I tried to like break it up a little bit and then he >> belined it straight to my door and started like punching it and that's when I called. But >> yeah, >> he I don't think he did anything to anyone. I was just worried about other people. >> Yeah. Yeah. I'm glad you called. Um >> we've got my guys talking to him. What we think it might just be a homeless individual. Unfortunately, uh we've got a homeless day center and then a homeless shelter right down the road. >> Um what it looks like and just based on what I'm hearing is it might be some mental health issues. >> Um but I'm not sure. >> So they're trying to get information now from them trying to figure out exactly what's going on. >> Um do you have like a 24-hour um and I know it's business hours, but like somebody on site like management who's here or do you know if they're offsite? >> I'm not too I know we have one guy he's sometimes in the area. I don't know. I don't think he's here today. >> The officer. >> Uh oh, the officer. Normally he parks, >> right? >> He's working right now. >> Oh, okay. Yeah, exactly. >> He's on the other side of town, guys. >> Yeah. Okay. I didn't know cuz what I thought maybe is just go ahead and have him barred from the complex if we had like a management on site. I want to say last time we had to call somebody from across town to come in. >> Um I don't have my girlfriend is the one that has all the information kind of stuff, so I'm not too I'll call that officer and see if um he has any information. Um do you have your ID on you? >> It's in my car. I can go get it. >> Yeah, if you don't mind. >> We're just trying to figure out what's going on, man. >> Can we get you some help? >> No. Okay. >> Do you know where you are? >> Do you know what day of the week it is? >> Do you know what year it is? You know who the president is. Can we take you somewhere? Get you out of the rain? Get you some help? We do know what your name is, sir. If we know who you are, then we can work about getting you some help. >> Hey. >> Hi. Did you get to see that guy? Yeah, my uh partner's talking to him right now. >> He just came here banging on people. >> Was he banging on your door, too? >> Just those two doors. >> Okay. Okay. Yeah, my uh partner's talking to him right now. >> He said he saw him chasing the young lady. >> Yeah, that's what he was just telling me. Um so they're talking to him trying to figure out exactly what's going on. >> You okay? >> Yeah. H >> this longer. I don't understand what you're saying, sir. Could you say it a little louder? I couldn't hear what you were saying. See, I want to hear so I can help you, but I can't hear what you're saying. Say what? >> Oh, somebody feel right now. >> Mhm. So, you're not feeling very well. All right, just stay where you are, sir. >> Sir, go ahead and have a seat on that chair. >> There's no need for you to be walking up on me like that. You need to put your hands back on, >> sir. Put your hands down. >> Get on the Stop what you're doing. >> Let go. Let go. Sir, let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Sir, what's your name? >> Sir, what is your name? would make a lot easier for us if we figured out who you were beforehand. Do you have any weapons on you? Anything that can hurt me, stick me, poke me? >> Yes, we have a homeless individual um having a 1096 episode causing some issues at an Archer and I can't identify him. Hey, >> he was the one running after me. Someone So, someone already called. >> Yeah, somebody called. Thank you so much. Okay, I'll call you back in a second. 9 for center 1026 with the mail. >> Sir, what is your name? >> We just need to know your name, man. >> All right. Bye. Um, do you have your ID on you? >> I have it in my apartment. I can I can >> Oh, it's fine. It's I'll just take your No, no, you're fine. I'll take your name and date. >> I'm so sorry. You're fine. It's a very scary experience. >> No, your neighbor called. >> I'm glad. I'm so glad. >> Yeah. And they said they were worried about you but didn't know where you'd went. So, I'm glad that you're in my I was just thinking of like where could I even go? I ran in my car quickly. >> What's your name, sweetheart? >> Adiola. >> But I dance >> birthday 98. >> Okay. Do you have a Georgia state ID? >> Yes. Yeah. I think it's um >> Is it good to go? >> Let's put him in the back seat. I just felt it. >> All right, sir. I'm going to put you in the back seat. All right. >> He's wearing hospital scrubs, so I'm guessing he probably just got released. >> So, um, because of his actions, he's been arrested. Okay. So, we'll at least take care of that now. Um, what I'm doing, we actually have a security officer who lives here. Um, he's working on the west side right now. Um, I'm going to contact him, see if we can get him barred from the property. And then that way if he shows up again, he's trespassing, you guys can call and go, "Hey, this is what happened last time. He's barred. Somebody come arrest him." So, we'll do that and then I'm gonna if I can't get a hold of that officer, we're going to contact management. >> Beautiful. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. Thank you so much. >> We're going to get that entered into the report and then that way we've got you documented. But you're okay, right? >> Yeah. Yeah. Just shaking up. >> Yeah. Just shaking up. Yeah. Thank you so much. No problem. Thank you so much. >> Have a good day. >> You just come from the hospital. Watch your head, sir. Hold on. Lean back. What's your name? >> He's definitely going through something right now. >> Yeah. >> I thought that may have turned into a use of force for a second. It's good that it didn't. >> Mhm. >> Yeah, we got him. It wasn't good. >> Hey, I'm sorry. Um, he was chasing a girl around the complex and um, she finally came out of hiding to talk to me. Um, but yeah, we can't identify this guy and I was wondering how familiar you are with some of the ones that hang out on North A. If I sent you a picture, if you might be able to identify him. >> You think he's like to the level of 103? >> I mean, I don't think it would hurt, but I don't think we're at that level. >> Yeah. >> Okay. I it's it's he's just not responding. It's just it seems more like he's in a psychosis where he's talking to himself. >> So, I don't know if it's he's here. >> And he started coming at us. His hands baldled up in a fist and we had to put him in handcuffs. >> Uh then he definitely wouldn't be able to go to advantage and shoot the hospital would just completely sedate him. Um, if he's at that point, you might just have to 1095 for disorderly felony obstruction, whatever he did against her, and then they can fingerprint at the jail to figure out who he is for a special condition. >> Okay. >> But he's completely that aggressive and neither place would be right for him. >> Yeah. >> Come out there. >> Okay. >> But you said North Avenue. >> Yeah. At uh Archer Apartments. >> All right. Uh I'm adding a note to a call right now. Give me a second. We'll be on the way. >> Okay. Thank you. >> No problem. >> Bye. >> So, dude buddy >> there, Bryley said that >> this girl that I just talked to, they were at the dumpsters. He just starts running at her. >> Yeah. >> And so, he tries to like intervene and that's when the guy diverts, comes over here, starts banging on doors. >> Okay. >> The guy in number, he's like, "Yeah, he didn't hit my door, but I heard him hitting the doors down there." >> Yeah. >> And so, he gave me the number for management. Um, but I'm going to call Craig. >> Okay. Uh but then she when I was calling Hollowman came out and she's like, "Yeah, he just started running at me." So I ran to my car and hid. >> Okay. >> And then she saw us and came out. >> Yeah. I think he's just having a 1096 episode. I don't think we have anything in other than disorderly conduct >> for a charge. >> Yeah. If Gerick were here, you would know him. >> Oh, yeah. >> Okay. >> We'll try to get his name, man. >> Sir, what's your name? What do you call yourself? What do other people call you? That's what I just want to figure out who you are. >> What's your name? >> Right. Thank you. >> I just want to know who you are, man. >> He said, uh, we need to go through management first and then if management doesn't respond or doesn't answer, then they'll come out and do it. >> I think he's more. >> What do you go by? You just want to go with county disorderly charge. We'll take him to the jail, get him fingerprinted, identify him that way. >> I feel like I've been out with him before. >> Bender. >> Bender. B I N D. No. >> This guy's pretty tall. >> Well, Bender is like >> Yeah. >> What do they call you? What do you call you? >> No idea on him. >> What was that? I >> think it's funny they said to go through management when he's the courtesy officer here. >> That way we'll just take him to the jail and not even worry about that barring. >> I was just thinking he's going to be Eevee like get Craig on the phone. >> Yep. >> All right, whatever. We'll just take him. >> Not worth it at this point. >> So I said just go with that and then >> Yeah, we'll just take him. >> I thought he was going to hit one of us when he started flailing about. Yeah, >> all right. Get this off me. >> There you go. >> Stand up right for me. >> Good to go. >> Come on. Stand up for me. All right, >> sir. We're just going to the store. Oh, careful. >> I just unlike it. >> All right. You want to lay here? We're going to have to take this door. All right. >> One way or another, sir, you're going to go through that door. Be a lot better if you make it easier for us. >> Stand up. >> There you go. >> There we go. >> There you go. We're just going to this door. Okay. >> Thank you. I appreciate it. >> Thank you. >> We'll take it one step at a time. >> Careful at a time. Stand up straight. All right. I need you to stand up straight. Careful. Watch your head. There you go. All right. Come on. Did you get up >> here? Bring your legs up. >> Bring your legs up. >> Bender. >> You said bender. >> Is it bender? >> We don't know. He wouldn't give us the same. >> There you go. that Bender. >> How you doing, Bender? >> Start looking for his name. He wouldn't give us his information. You know what his first name is? >> Hey, Johnny. >> Johnny. >> Johnny. >> Johnny. >> Calm down. Calm down, man. >> Calm down, man. >> Calm down. >> Huh? No, >> not at all. He was sedate. >> Thank you. >> Okay. Well, >> is he naked? >> Yeah. >> Awesome. The suspect was booked for disorderly conduct.
