Where were your arms when she bit you? Where were they? >> Like right here. Right here. >> Cuz that's a defensive bite, Mark. >> On January 13th, 2023, officers responded to a call from a woman calling from her Apple Watch. She mentioned that her boyfriend just put hands on her and took her phone. During the call, she was speaking very quickly. Then the line disconnected and she didn't answer when dispatch tried calling her back. Where is he? >> He's upstairs. >> What's going on? He >> just keeps putting his hands on me. It's a reoccurring thing. And I got scared today cuz we were at the hospital yesterday and I just I can't do it anymore. >> Any guns? Any guns in the house? You have any guns? >> I don't know. >> What's his name? >> Maris. >> Maris. Maris, >> you upstairs? >> You want to come down? >> He's upstairs. What bedroom? Knives. >> Knives with him. Gun. Nothing. >> 74. >> Maris. >> 104. >> Maris, you want to come out? Maris, you in here? >> He's in the bathroom. >> Maris, there's a jacket. I don't know if it's a person. >> A jacket. >> I don't think he's first. Oh, here you go. Check the door. Watch this. >> Maris, >> we just want to talk to you, man. >> As right now, you're not in trouble. Just come out. You keep hiding, you're going to get in trouble. Maris, come on. Quit playing. >> He's right here. >> Who wants to pull that? Yeah. >> All right. So, let's go up there. Did he run out the back door? >> What's up? >> You want to take your car and go check the neighborhood walking? >> Yeah. >> Do you know what is he wearing? >> Oh, I know. probably sweatpants, >> haircut. >> He has locks. >> Okay, >> I'm sorry y'all. I thought he was up here. He was hiding in the bathroom in the closet. He's been in there, but his car is not here. He's definitely somehow. How do you leave before y'all went upstairs? >> What's his number? >> My heart took my phone. You don't have your phone anymore? >> No, I just have my watch. That's what I told you guys. >> Can you track your phone? >> I tried to put it on lost on my phone. I mean on my watch. It just got so but I still >> Where did he touch you? >> He's put recurrently put his hands on me and I just I'm tired of it. And today we were just yelling back and forth and we tried to give each other space and I've been in my room and he broke my door down. So I tried to run to the bathroom but I was not fast enough and I just got slammed into the tub and I'm just tired of I went to stuff yesterday. >> Do you want EMS to come check you out? >> The urgent care yesterday and he came with me cuz he had to pay for it cuz I'm sorry this is so embarrassing. >> Don't be embarrassed. Look, we do not deserve to be tossed around by these men. Okay, >> that is right. >> What kind of car does he drive? >> A Chevy Cruise. >> 88 to 74. He drives a Chevy Cruz. >> Wait, do we know what color? >> What color? >> It's silver. I'm just I can't take it anymore to call the police. My name >> Silver. I don't want to just go to jail, but like I can't keep >> Does he have any place that he he likes to go? Any friends around the area? >> He's so lonely. He barely has friends. I think he's probably going to try to go to Atlanta because he has a brother. Probably going to try to hide out. Don't know. I don't know what he's thinking. Really? >> So, you were in your room? >> Yes. >> We see the door is broken. >> Yeah. >> I just want to call my mom and make sure she's fine. I was just nervous. I don't even know like who it is for real. >> How long have y'all been living here together? >> Since September. >> Are y'all married? >> No. Um, sort of together. Never really made it official, but >> So, is this your house or did y'all buy this house together? >> We are renting. >> Okay. How long have y'all been dating? >> Been like on and off for probably like 3 years, two years. When we moved in, it was like a month after move was the first time. month after y'all moved in here, he started putting hands on you. >> Yeah. And then I just started to notice a pattern because I told my mom for the first time yesterday. >> You guys were arguing arguing through the door. >> What were y'all arguing about? >> Um, he thinks that I'm with somebody else that I was with last year for like a couple months and I have not had communication with that person since like last summer. But he is just so fixated on it. I don't know. Like I don't know why he's so fixated on. >> So you guys were arguing about that and then he started kicking the door. >> I'm not sure. I just the top of the door getting pushed in and she just like a little bit >> just called y'all cuz he started threatening her cuz I couldn't get her in the closet with him cuz she wasn't coming fast enough. >> The dog. >> Yeah. I just didn't want nothing to happen to her. Hi puppies. Hi baby. Broke the door down or at least broke the hinges. You ran into the bathroom and that's when he pushed you and he fell and hit your head. And what happened after that? >> It was really fast, but I just know that he grabbed me in a way where I ended up in the tunnel. But I was holding my phone and at first I was just trying to get him to leave and I was pretending to call the cops and that's why he took my phone. >> Hey, is this your vehicle? Have you let it borrow to somebody or anything like that? No. Okay. All right. That's all I needed. By the way, your registration expired. You don't have vital insurance on it. >> Okay. >> Okay. Cool. All right. That's all I needed. >> Is that how you got the cut on your face? >> Thought I saw one. >> There's cuts on my face from yesterday. >> Your li What? >> Yes, they're from yesterday. There's stuff all over my neck from yesterday. I went to the urgent care. They told me on >> your finger just happened. That's from today. >> You know you yesterday as well. >> It was the day before yesterday. I tried to go into work and they noticed and then had to leave work not work because I told that it was somebody I was living with but I had to go to computer to get a your work paper. >> So when you fell did you feel anything like getting on your like on your back like he pushed you? To be honest, I'm pretty sore from two days ago. Like my neck was hurting been icing it for the past 24 hours. The doctor told me to ice my back of my head cuz it's just on my head. Like can't believe this is happening to me. >> I'm sorry this is happening. You don't No one deserves this. I'm going to have to take um photographs of just everything. Okay. >> Including your injuries. What happened on Wednesday? He asked to see my phone to go do my phone. And so I went upstairs and I grabbed my phone and I unlocked it and I let him have a few messages that he wanted to but he felt like I was taking too long and I was deleting them. So it turned into a fight. But the sad thing is that the person that he wants me to go to, I told him I had talked to him since August. When I showed him the phone, it literally said August was the last message and then just started. That's what it just like started today because it was like you deleted your messages and stuff and I was like how am I supposed to delete my messages? >> But this on Instagram. >> This is terrible. >> He's going to be arrested. He will have a warrant since he ran and he took your phone. So he thought he was taking too long. You all got in an argument. And how did he hurt you? >> What was huge, bro? You would think they make them more compact. >> Well, this is the one with the city. >> You remember the PlayStation? >> Which one? >> The first one? >> The first one? >> Little silver. They're both great thing. >> The little thing like that. It was like that size. >> Pops up. >> Yeah. >> And then PlayStation 2 was the one where you're going to insert the disc like, "Oh, this is revolutionary, bro." >> You mean that you lifted the the lid and put the disc for the dream? >> Did he slap you? Did he punch you? Did he >> It was like fine. Everything was depressing. It was just like a lot. It was a lot. >> It was a full-on fight. >> Yes. I fell. I was thrown. I was strange a little like my hair like in >> Well, I never played a Sega set. >> I had it for like had it for like a month or something and then then the Genesis came out. >> Oh, yeah. The Genesis. I'll play that. >> Yeah. Taxi. Crazy. Taxi. >> Maybe done. >> Almost done. I >> think I just want to go to my hospital. >> Yeah, definitely. No, >> the bird at least. >> I just want to go to my mom's house. >> I need to Do you mind if I just have to take photos? Okay. Is that okay? We can dip. >> Does that make you more comfortable? >> Yeah. Okay. Yeah. >> So, what's his first name? >> No. And you don't deserve it. You really don't. And I hate seeing other women in abusive relationships cuz I was in an abusive relationship. My ex put a gun to my head. We do not deserve it at all. And we don't have to stick around just to stick around. And I don't want you to feel like cuz a lot of people in domestic relationships feel like they have nowhere to go, which you you do. And you got your mom and friends, you got us to help you. If you need anywhere, we will do everything to make sure that you are okay and you're safe, but we just don't want you getting hurt again because you really you really don't deserve it. So this is the crime victim bill of rights. And so what's his date of birth? Do you remember the year or at least how old he is? >> Um, you're going to find him by just his name. I know where that just take a >> And then what else? >> You It looks like you have a old black eye. >> Did you have a black eye ever? >> I have a birth mark. >> Okay. >> It's like skin discoloration. >> Just making sure it's not a black eye. That used to be one. And then the lip thing that happened two days ago. >> Yeah. >> Okay. I'm just gonna I won't get your whole face in it. I'm just going to take the Anything else that happened? Those scratch marks were from two days ago. >> Yeah. >> He has a burning mark on his arm because when he was stranding me, that was 5 days on. >> Okay. >> Mark. Can I see both your hands again? >> What? >> Just your hands again. Yeah, that's the one. Okay. I'm gonna take photos of upstairs and I'll be out of your hair >> for one. There you go. I'll be right back. >> Breaking down my tried to put Gucci in the closet with me and then he threatened to cook. So I had to call the police. He can't do nothing to my mom. But he's over here tripping. He said that I deleted the messages after I told you I showed him. He's crazy. He said something about your thing that you said like he feels like you're not being truthful or something like that and I just didn't listen >> because I am telling the truth and he doesn't he's not taking it. Mom, you can't delete messages off of Instagram. You can only understand your messages. And the last message I sent was from August. And the last message that was received was in August. So there's no way possible. But he was over here screaming like, "Yes, you did. Yes, you did. >> Hey, essential. That's going to be him. >> I feel so bad. >> So, where are you now? >> I'm in my house. Police with me. >> And what are the police saying? What's the situation? >> Uh, hello. I'm Officer Theman. >> Hi. >> He is going to have a warrant. We have contact with him. He will be arrested. We don't have contact with him. he'll have a warrant and we'll look for him and or if he if he comes back, dear Lord, please call us because there's one thing about people who beat women is they never change. They'll stop. They'll try and make you think that they're going to change and that they're going to stop and then you end up dead. My dad was a lawyer for domestic violence his entire life and the women always end up dead. They think that it's safe and they can go back and then you're we're we're finding you in the woods. Okay, this is not the first time he's touched you. It's not going to be the last if you go back. Okay, you got to >> very thankful that you called and just moving forward. You have to know he's not going to change and you got to move on for your safety and what you deserve cuz you we do not deserve to be hit ever under no circumstance. I mean, if you were being his ass, maybe. But I mean, no. just because he's crazy and sick and think that you're cheating gives you him no right to put lay hands on you ever. >> And I explained that to him when when he has her phone and I happened to call to check on her. He answered the line and I told him that. I said, "Regardless of the differences you guys currently have, the both of you are young. It doesn't warrant you aggressing at her and vice versa. You guys need to just separate." And he said, "Oh, that's why I left the house. I'm done with the situation and whatever. >> And I told him, I said, "This is a reoccurrent situation because it's not the first time that you brought this to my attention. >> Why did you let it escalate to this point? If you find that this is a reoccurrent situation, then you guys should have separated, you know, and he was like, "Oh, well, I'm I'm really done this time." You know, he >> and that's Yeah, that's what they all say. >> Thank you again for your help. Speak with Olivia, please. >> Yeah, she's on We're on speaker. Hey, Mom. >> Okay. Hey, baby. Are you okay? Have you calmed down a little bit? >> Yeah, I'm trying. I just >> I know it's hard and I know you're not okay, but I just want to make sure that >> Yeah. >> you're okay to be there in the house and you know, like >> I think I'm going to probably come over in a little bit. >> All right. >> Thank you for helping me. >> Yeah, it's my job. >> Yeah. >> And woman to woman. I want to get this man in jail, too. Yeah, it sounds like he's on probation right now. >> Hold up. >> Hello, this is Officer Theo with Clark County Police Department. >> Yes. >> I suggest before you have a warrant out for your arrest, you get back to this house now. >> Okay. >> So, where are you right now? >> I'll be on the way. I was heading to Atlanta, but I'm about to be on the way. >> I need you here in like 5 minutes. >> I'm like 10 15 minutes away. I'm about to be on the way. >> Okay. You need to be here or you will have a warrant. >> Okay. I I'll be here. I'll be there for sure. >> All right. We'll see you soon. >> Okay. >> You bet. You got Okay. Whatever. Just like how you don't like when people touch animals. I don't like when people touch females. >> You got 105. >> Oh, yes. Whenever he gets here, he's more than welcome to give his side of the story, though. >> Does he know that you were here? >> I wanted to do a Chris Hansen thing. Chris Hansen from How to Catch a Predator. >> Sure. So they walk in the house and they're like, "Hey, did you bring the condiments and the beers?" "Yeah." Like Chris Hansen walks out in the suit. You know she's underage, right? I'm going to walk out. >> It's a great story. Almost wish I cared. What's the doggy's name? >> Gucci. >> Gucci. Love it. Love it. Love it. Need a smoke break before I whoop someone's ass. Hello. >> Doing good. How are you? We're just going to stay here. Okay. >> What in the world happened today? >> Just been arguing. I just try to get my phone. Took my phone. Had to get my phone. Didn't want to get my phone. So, took your phone and I left. >> So, she had your phone? >> Yeah. She took my phone. She didn't want to give me my phone. I kept asking her to give her my phone back so I could leave. And I escalated. Didn't know any further. She refused to give me my phone. So I took her phone. I try to leave. >> Okay. Well, what happened to the door? >> Uh I busted it open because I was trying to get my phone. >> Okay. Well, so where is your phone? >> She has my phone. >> Where's his phone? On the ground. Upstairs. Okay. So, where was her phone? >> Okay. So, she took your phone for what reason? You think >> make me upset to get that? I don't know. >> What were y'all? So, let's backtrack. Y'all wake up. Things's going good so far. Step by step, tell me what happened today. >> Woke up, got out the shower, started arguing. What were y'all arguing about? >> About some cheating [ __ ] >> Her cheating or you cheating? >> Herm, >> you know, escalated. She went into my room and took my phone and that's why I just kept I kept asking her, "Give me my phone back. Give me my phone back. Give me my phone back." She refused to give me my phone. So, I bust open the door. I seen her phone. I took her phone and I said, "Give me my phone back so I can give you your phone back." kept saying it. She refused to >> She kept going to saying my phone's in my room and I was calling with her phone and it wasn't in my room. >> So kept lying. So I said, "Okay, whatever. I'm just going to take her phone and I'm just going to get home." >> So you didn't know for certain that she had your phone? >> Yes, I knew because it was in my room. I had I left my phone after after I took a shower. I left my phone on my bed. I went in my room. It wasn't on my bed. >> So did you take his phone? >> I went through his phone. Okay. >> And then what happened with the bathroom? >> Nothing happened in the bathroom. She She like closed the door. Like I don't know. But I just try to get my phone. That's all I was trying to do. >> So she was in the bathroom. You never went into the bathroom. Were you able to get that bathroom door open? >> I didn't open the bathroom door. See, I bus opened the front door. >> Mhm. >> And I was just trying to get my phone so I could leave the area. >> [clears throat] >> So the altercation then like escalate any further. >> Why did y'all go to urgent care? It seems like this is a reoccurring thing between y'all. You get into pretty abusive altercations and like physical pretty physical. I mean she's got she got markings all over her. Why you whooping her? >> Because she be like she be fighting she be throwing hands on me. I be I be trying to reframe the whole situation. Like she be biting on me. She be punching on me. >> Yes. Where's that bite mark? She did mention a bite mark. How'd you get the bite mark? >> I got one right here. Scratches on my arm and stuff. I got I got one on my chest. >> Do you mind if I take photos? I'm going to do it anyway. I see your arm. So, why did she bite you? That is the question. Where were your arms when she bit you? Where were they? >> Like on her hair, right? >> Cuz that's a defensive bite mark. So your hands must have been on her to cause her to get you all. And placement of that bite mark is >> I'm trying to like refrain her from like punching me and throwing stuff at me and stuff like that. >> So you hold her down or >> Yeah, I'm trying to hold her down. Like I'm not trying to like strangle her or like punch her in the face and stuff like that. Like >> I'm just literally trying to like refrain her from like >> you know for it to get any worse. Like >> like I understand like this it's both bad. Like we both find each other but I'm trying to be like the bigger person in the situation by trying to reframe. >> Hold on. Let me just let's swip swap phones. Please everyone get your own freaking phone. Go get his phone. You give me her phone. So, when were you gonna come back with her stuff? >> I was gonna come back later on to David. At this point, they get a break. >> I got you. I Sometimes we all need we all need breaks. You got the phone. Okay. So, at least we can say we did that. Everyone's got their own property. Where was the phone? >> In the room on the floor. >> In hers. >> No, his room. >> Oh, well, the phone was in your room. Home slice. Let's go ahead and go outside. Let's get our phone case. I'm going to grab the phone cuz there's a large ass machete in there. >> Well, that's hers, too. You can get that back to her. >> Okay. This is her knife. >> Good lord. Okay. Why'd you take her knife? >> You might have to use it on me later. I don't know. It's like I don't know. I just take >> your knife. >> Yeah. under my bed >> for protection. >> So, you keep it under the bed and then when he broke the door, you grab the kn the knife that's underneath your bed >> and the bathroom and I was calling it. >> Okay. Here's your knife. >> Here's your phone case. >> You ever been in a situation like this before? >> Not like this. >> No. I guess just based off everything, you just want to put your hands behind your back. I'm so sorry that this happened. >> Thank you so much. >> Please give us a call if you just want to talk someone. We're here for you. We'll we'll protect you as much as we can. Okay. Come on, dog. Gucci inside. Come on. >> Come on. Go, Gucci. Go. Scoot. Scoot. All right. I know it sucks, but you did the right thing. Okay. >> John, >> what's yours? >> Olivia. >> Olivia. What do you paint? >> Did you draw that Tupac upstairs? >> Oh. >> The suspect was booked for disorderly conduct, two counts of criminal trespass family violence, hindering an emergency phone call, violating a family violence order, and harassing phone calls.
