patrolman valenc was dispatched to the station of Berea Ohio for an escort request dispatch told him that a male Joseph Ramsey had two active warrants for temporary protective order violations officer Justin Cary arrived at the station as well and made contact with Ramsey they went to the booking room and read him his Miranda rights but everything quickly took a turn and instead of booking Joseph Ramsey he booked it past the officer hold on who's that that's my cous okay see got my car okay all right yeah you come back here well how you doing not bad how are you to my ID and come back with my report room patrolman Tomkins wrapped his arms around Ramsay and took him to the ground however in struggle he lacerated his hands and got a contusion to his left leg now since Ramsey was already on the ground you'd probably think he'd give up but no Ramsey continued to struggle and pushed his elbow into patrolman carry this knocked off his body camera basically you're accused of being at the understand that you're not getting out of jail tonight do you understand what Happ patrolman Tomkins gave multiple closed fist strikes to Ramsay's lower back but he kept on trying to hit officer Cary with his elbow he then decided to hurt himself by slamming his head against the wall the officer had to keep his head stationary to stop him from hurting himself after two head slams to the wall and three Drive stuns Ramsay finally gave up and he was placed in cuffs Ramsay had a cut on the bridge of his nose and on his right eyelid he claimed that the officers broke his leg and so the paramedics were called to the station Ramsay was transported to the hospital and he received stitches to his face his leg wasn't broken and he was transported to North Royalton jail where he was held without bond until his court appearance later that morning Ramsay was booked for resisting an officer escape and his two warrants but sadly we couldn't find anything related to his court details and what he was sentenced to
