You fill out a statement for us. >> Yes. Just disorderly in talks. >> She just refused to leave and wanted to hold on to the bar. >> You have less problems. Just leave. More officers soon arrived to help move the woman off the jet bridge and bring the situation under control. >> She just wouldn't leave the jet bridge. Was holding on disorderly intact and trespass. He's going to do a statement for us. >> All right, ma'am. >> All right. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Come on. >> You going to walk, ma'am? >> Yeah. Whatever you do, just >> I can bring one. >> I haven't tossed her or anything. >> Yeah, I'll I'll do it when we get over there. >> Transport. >> Sure, I'll do it. Just don't go. >> No, no, I'm cool. >> Just don't. >> Like, she's just there. Not She didn't want to. >> You want to sit down? Sit down. Put your feet out. >> Put your feet out. >> Put your feet out. >> Put your feet out. >> No. >> Ma'am, I'm I'm going to charge you with I'm going to charge you. >> I'm going to charge you with resisting. All right. >> Just get out. >> I told you put your hands behind your back, too. On the jeopardage, you didn't want to listen. Here, put your feet out. Sit down and put your feet out. >> Look. Look how much Oh, >> yes. >> They're not that tight. >> What? >> Yeah. Sit up. Yeah. Put her feet out. >> Yeah. Thanks. There you go. >> Don't want to throw herself out of it. >> All right, ma'am. I got >> No. No, it's not okay. >> Well, you did this to yourself, ma'am. >> The woman keeps testing the officer's patience, but they're determined to bring the encounter to a close. >> Get this. Please. Please get the woman. Hello. Please. >> I asked you to leave, ma'am. They asked you to leave. >> I wanted to leave, too. >> Yeah. Well, you didn't listen. >> Yeah. Listen to who? >> Me? >> Yeah. >> Or the flight crew. >> Yeah. The major. Who's listening to you? >> Yeah. Well, yeah. Now you're going to jail, ma'am. Hey, >> just watch out the court. >> You get a alarm on the door, Charlie. >> Put it on. >> I'm going to charge her to RESISTING WITHOUT VIOLENCE. Put her hands BEHIND HER BACK AND SHE TENSED up and >> Okay. >> She was like holding on to the Jeopardy bar. put it on my lips like then do you want everything on there? >> No. No, I haven't got anything. >> Yeah, >> of course. >> Okay, >> I can tell. I can tell. >> Your ID's in here, ma'am. Or is it on you? >> No. Can you Can you please please do it? >> Where's your ID, ma'am? Identification. Unless you're going to open my >> Oh, I am going to open it. So, I'm just trying to find out where it is to make my life a little easier. >> Okay. >> Whose car is out there? Is that yours? >> Yeah, mine is out there. >> I do. My camera's not working though. My um >> We can We can sit it if you want. >> Yeah. Control 150. I'm 10:15 here. Uh, trespass and she's drunk as I have an Illinois ID card. >> With the encounter finally under control, the officers escort the woman to the waiting patrol car. This my primary. >> Yes. >> All right, Mrs. Sandel, you need to stand up. >> No. No. >> Yeah, you got to stand up. >> Is it on? >> Ma'am, you have to help us. I'm already >> trying to get you in the car, man. We got to check you. Okay. >> All right. Just put your feet down. She's got to check you. Okay. >> Here. Put your feet down. [screaming] >> Stop. >> You're not taking it off. That's not happening. >> Just relax. We're just trying to help you. Okay. >> Show that key. >> Yeah. You think you're going to be in a whole lot more trouble. >> Yeah. Ma'am. >> Ma'am, you get charged with resisting. >> You're getting charged with resisting as well for the way you're acting. >> Ma'am, ma'am, >> are you going to get charged with battery? >> You're going to get charged with battering a police officer. Do you understand what I'm what I'm saying? >> There you go. If you stop struggling, ma'am, it would be a lot less painful. Just >> the other side. >> Yeah. >> Ma'am, you're getting charged with, like I said, this is how she was from the beginning. >> The incident ended with a woman facing charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Woman gets herself banned from the airport after one bad decision. On July 22nd, 2024, officers were dispatched to an airport after staff reported that a woman repeatedly refused to leave the jet bridge. Here's how the encounter unfolded >> while we uh towards the end of the morning. Um she just kind of ran past everybody and you know it's a security breed. >> Was she she being denied? >> Uh correct. Yeah, we got >> all the way into the inside the aircraft. So once I told her she finally came off when I mentioned no flyers, but she's very I rate sitting down there in the purple shirt. Um but we'll take her to the back. >> We'll give her a refund. >> Hey dear. >> Ma'am. Ma'am. Hey, can we go up there and talk please so we can >> No, I cannot. I want my my bag off this plane. >> 92. Can I get a air? >> I need I NEED MY BAG. YOU DIDN'T LET ME BOARD. YOU'RE NOT GOING TO GIVE ME A REFUND. IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO send me >> I'm going to give you refund. >> So, ma'am, can we go up there and talk at the at the counter so they can work on the computer to get you a refund? Man, we have to clear this jet bridge so they can they can take off. >> The officers continue giving the woman every opportunity to leave the jet bridge on her own, but she remains unwilling to move. >> Ma'am, >> what's going >> right now? This jet bridge, are you guys in control of it or is going to >> um it's still federal property, but as of right now, we have our team here, so technically Spirit's operating on this jet >> because you guys are still attached to the plane. >> Correct. Yes, sir. >> Okay. Do you guys want to tr do you guys want to press charges for trespass after warning if she refuses to leave the jet bridge? >> Because I'm not I can't force her to go unless either you or Go. I don't think Spirit would want to do that. Um, >> can you adise her this is going to be a security incident or a cage service? >> Well, they're saying it's a security incident. >> She she breached the Gach. >> Oh, so she didn't she's already >> All right, ma'am. Can you film me at all? What's going on? Why are we here? >> What's going on? >> I'm ready to get on the plane. I got to be over there at 12:20. She going to tell me about I can't get on the plane. I've been on this plane already before this morning. I've been sitting there all day long. >> Okay. >> I do not want to go back on no OTHER PLANE. I GOT WRECK AT 12:20 IN THE MORNING. >> OKAY. Do you have an ID on you? Because they're not even sure if you are who you say you are. Do you have ID on you? >> All I have is a passport. I came from Costa Rica. >> A passport is fine. Can I see your passport? >> I'm disconnected to her because I don't want you to be trespassed by the airport. This is federal property. I don't want you to be charged with trespassing. >> Yes. >> We really would like like you just trespassing. >> Can I explain to you how this is all coming about? So, the reason why this is coming about is because they said according to the call we got, I don't know what happened, but according to the call we got. >> The officers now have two very different versions of what happened. While the staff says the woman refused to comply with their instructions, she maintains she did nothing wrong. >> You came and went past them onto the jet bridge without showing your ticket. >> That's a lie. I think they know what I got IF I DIDN'T SHOW my ticket. She didn't even see my ticket cuz Daniel right there. >> Okay. So, with that >> So, with that being said, being that you're saying that you did show them something, >> I don't want it to get to a point where they're going to deny you boarding. Then they're going to trespass you from the airport. Now, you can't even fly out the airport. They're willing to take care of you, but you can't stay here because right now you haven't committed a crime. Technically, we're not involved yet. I don't want us to become involved because now if we become involved that means >> giving me a refund is not on the same day is not going to give me the manager just told you. Did you just not tell her that she will try to be looking for another flight or am I hearing stuff? >> Not today based on circumstances. Not today. But we will give her a refund. She's been looking. >> I have to go to work and sweat, please. >> So here's the thing. Like I said, I don't want you to end up being banned from the airport. That's going to make the situation even worse, and I don't want that for you. >> All right, let's >> I'm not sure. >> All right, let's get her taken care of. You got everything? >> I'm going to leave my >> Okay. at least with me. >> I'm going to go tell her to >> see what he does. >> Before making their next move, the officers check back in with airport staff to see how they wish to proceed. >> Is um person she refuses to leave. Yeah, there you go. >> Public purple public. Yeah. >> Like, so you don't need to you don't need to give the warning. You don't need to you don't need to be the official person giving the warning. You know what I'm saying? That's why I'm asking that the way >> it has to be it has to be written in paper. We cannot give her a verbal warning. Has to be >> incorrect. 100% incorrect. A verbal warning is good enough. >> Leave. >> That is all you have to do. >> Okay. I'll give her a verbal warning that that we can do. But if we trespass so if somebody Let me give you an example. If somebody doesn't give me and I can't get their name legally, all you have to do is go leave. I'm not giving you your name. If she refuses, that's when the criminal portion. I can't give her a trespass if she doesn't give me her name. So that's incorrect. >> Is she is she giving her >> we have it because the ticket right she got ready got it. So um with that we are going to >> she's she's basically saying she wants to go to jail. She's refusing >> she wants what? >> She wants to go to jail. She's refusing to leave and I'm not I rather go TO JAIL BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE NO security on my body and myself. I DON'T KNOW NOTHING about this state. Hold on. Hear me out. >> You're not going to make it any better. >> If you want to go to jail, guess what? Now you have to worry about a bond. How are you going to get out with a phone? >> I'm going get out. >> Hold on. >> I must secure my safety. I made an escape by myself that I DON'T KNOW NOTHING ABOUT. >> The officers make one more effort to convince the woman that cooperating is in her best interest. She however remains unwilling to listen. >> You're going to have to worry about the father. You're also going to have to worry if she scans her ticket in probably good time from the airport. You're going to have to worry about another airline because you're not going to be able to fly the same airline. So, we're trying >> about that. I can't I DON'T EVEN GOT NO money to get a last minute flight. Do you know how much last minute flight is? I already tried $528. We said I don't have no $200 cash and you going to give me my money in three or five days. I don't want to have nowhere to go. Okay. >> I don't have nowhere TO STAY. I DON'T KNOW nobody in this state. >> Ma'am. Ma'am, we're right here. Just talk to us right here. You don't have to yell. Okay. So, as of right now, right, they are refunding your money. Okay. >> And don't go back for a second. Can you stop for a second? >> I'm explaining to you that all we have to do is go back to the the the lamp. Daddy, I rather go to jail at her and then I'mma give you just get my chick and go get me out of jail because this is crazy. I DON'T GOT nowhere to go and they keeping me. >> All you got to do is leave. [laughter] Let's go. >> They didn't talking about they refund me my money but then the money don't hit the card. So three to four days. Daddy, I don't got no money for $200. That's it. Well, can I book a last minute flight? Can I talk to him? >> Are you okay? >> I'm stuck out here, daddy. I'm just stuck. >> I FOUND A A GREAT BUS. THAT'S STILL $500 something dollars. Everything $500. >> Can I talk to him for you? >> You tell me when you're done. >> THAT'S WHY I TOLD HIM TO DO THE REST ME. IT'S DIFFERENT OPTIONS. NO, IT'S NOT. I'M IN A STATE by myself AND I DON'T KNOW WHERE I'M AT. >> You don't need that. We can fill that out later. That's what I'm trying to say. We don't need that. As long as she refuses right here, I'm good with it. We can fill that out once we have her name and all that other stuff and she's in >> I don't got no word. I don't got nowhere to go. >> I just want to get you clean. >> There's still time for the encounter to end differently. And the officers make one last effort to get the woman to cooperate. >> I just want to get you to the main turn. >> Can I speak to your dad? >> Can I speak to him? Is it okay? Miss Coleman, you're calling the emergency number. That's 911. >> Ma'am, can I talk? >> Yes, I need the police. >> Ma'am, we are the police. We are right here. >> We do not But you're not taking me to jail cuz I'm in A STATE THAT I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO GO. AND I'M TELLING YOU, TAKE ME TO JAIL. Are you not listening? >> We're trying to help you out. >> I am. >> I'm done. when you're done. >> They are all the police that they not even doing nothing. I'm just going to be your brother. >> I'm by myself. >> We are the police. Please do not call the police again. >> Okay. >> Miss, can you just gather your stuff and we'll go ahead and walk to the main terminal? I'll tell >> I'm not moving. No wor. I'm not moving. hang on this case. >> I'm not going to keep going back and forth. I'm trying to help her as best as I can. >> What state are you in? >> I'm in Orlando, Florida. Dad, I know I have no way to go. I don't got nothing but $200 cash. I tell him, that's why I keep telling them I RATHER GO TO JAIL. I DON'T KNOW NOTHING ABOUT this state. I don't have enough money. All I GOT IS $200 CASH AND EVERYTHING IS $500 AND OH, MY REFUND IS COMING. THREE OR FIVE BUSINESS DAYS. YOU TOOK my you took my my belongings already. >> By now, it's clear the conversation isn't going anywhere. And with no progress being made, the officers decide it's time for the woman to leave the airport in handcuffs. >> OKAY. >> Stop resisting. >> Stop resisting. Steps one got you out. I have both legs. >> I got both of them. >> All you had to do is say grab put your hands behind the back. You don't have to do all >> We gave you the opportunity to leave. >> Let me go. You're about to break my glasses. Can you stop? I don't >> stop resisting. Give me your arm. >> I'm not resisting. >> Give me your arm. >> Give me your arm. Let me go and I'm going to let you I'm put it on. Hey, I'm going to >> Don't you fight me. >> Don't you fight me up and grabbing me? Grabbing me all kind of way. >> You got her. Yes. >> Stop resisting. >> I'm not resisting. >> Stop resisting. Stop. >> Stop resisting. >> Stop resisting. >> I'm not resisting. They're grabbing me all kind of ways. Daddy, >> stop. >> Stop moving. >> Okay. Can you get up? JUST TRY TO GET OUT MY GLASSES. That's all I'm trying to do. >> Well, guess what? You ain't bit me. >> Okay, so I got a charge. Thank you. Can you >> Don't move >> until we are done. Do not move. >> Can I get on the ground? >> Get on the phone. >> Get on. >> Once you are secure, you'll be let up. >> Okay. >> Get on the phone. Even as the officers begin wrapping up the encounter, the woman continues arguing every step of the way. >> Can I get on the ground, please? >> You will get on the ground. Cat, are we good? >> Can I get on the ground? >> Get on the ground. >> Can I get on the ground, please? >> Listen to me. >> Can I get on the ground? >> Listen to me. >> Can I get on the ground? >> You are going straight to the ground. Do you understand? Yes or no? >> Yes. Can I go to the ground, please? >> Can I go straight to the ground? >> Sit on your butt. >> Sit on your butt. On her butt. Hey, I'm going to >> on your butt. >> On your butt. >> Okay. >> Thank you very much. >> I'm not even resisting. You don't got to do all of that. All you have to do, Sarah, ask me, can you move your hands behind your back? >> Take your legs out. >> I'm that they just been resisting. And I told them all I as they just take me to jail and they just did all this for nothing. So I can make you scene. And you're being recorded by people too. I'm being recorded by my body camera. >> Okay. So, >> stretch your leg out all the way. >> Okay. Can you Can you just get my glasses? That's all I care about. That's it. Thank you. >> That's all I care about. My >> stretch your leg out. >> Okay. >> I asked you several times to leave. >> I just told Several times. >> All I asked you was take me to I can't I don't go nowhere. >> Could have avoid it all. >> I don't But ma'am, you didn't have to do all the first act. I could have said no you don't want to leave. There's no talk. >> So you can't So you did you have to do resistance like that? All you have to do did I ask YOU I WANT TO GO to jail? >> I said can I I can put my hands behind my >> if you wanted to go to jail. Why were you resisting? >> I DIDN'T RESIST. YOU JUST DID all that for nothing. You could say ma'am. >> I said ma'am. Do you know what you just did? Snatch >> on body cam. >> Okay. Thank you. >> I snatch your face. Good luck with that. cuz you didn't have to do all that. I asked y'all to go to jail. So that mean I wasn't released. >> I asked you I want to go to jail cuz I'm in a state I don't know where I'm at. >> Now you're going to jail. >> I don't care about going to jail, ma'am. >> That works. >> She continues arguing with the officers, but by now they've heard everything they need to hear. >> That's that's why I asked you. Can I go to jail? >> That's what you're doing now. It's It's passing. >> You good? >> I got to check my leg. She bit me pretty good. >> Oh, well, you might well check the animals, too. >> Can I get an as well, please? >> Cuz you should not put your hands nobody like that. And when nobody was in the resistance, I asked you, "Can I go to jail?" You should say, "Ma'am, put your hand up." >> You don't tell us how to do our job. on me. >> Let's go ahead and go through her stuff. >> It's so many t-shirts and earrings. >> Can you cuz I know you guys >> she's banned from your airline. >> We're now going to do that. I would tell her that whenever you guys have a moment, we'll have to tell you. >> Uh sir, come here. >> Being that you're in charge of the airside, is she permanently banned from this airport? >> She's being arrested. I need so much for you to give me. >> Thank you. >> Thank you. >> 24. Go ahead. Kick your leg forward. Thank you. >> Is crossing them okay or no? I got to get pushed down for that fight. >> Is crossing okay or I'm going to get um kicked down and stuff for that too. >> Hey, how far out there? >> Okay, I guess I'm okay. Uh, she bit me pretty good. I got to check her. >> That's what I mercy cuz you need to go get checked. >> Are we going to have a problem walking you to a car? >> No, you didn't have a problem putting the handcuffs on me. You didn't have to do what you were doing. It's nice. Can I go to jail? >> With little left to do at the scene, the officers focus on wrapping things up while the woman continues voicing her complaints. You didn't have to jump down and be all aggressive. You didn't have to do all what you did assess it for us. That was unnecessary. And please, we're hoping your body came out cuz that was necessary for when you could have just said, "Ma'am, can you put your hands behind your back?" And then if I said, "NO, I DIDN'T WANT TO do that." That would have been the resisting race. >> Welcome to Florida. >> That's not Florida. That's not >> That's not how we do that down here. >> Okay. Why you didn't say >> I'm not explaining that to you. >> Can you put your hand? >> All you got to do is walk to the car. >> Do it in Dallas. >> I don't care how they do it in Dallas. >> That's how they do it in Dallas. >> Do they bite people in Dallas? >> Yes, I do. >> Okay. >> If you want to be aggressive with a person, yeah. >> Okay. >> I'll beat you. >> Listen to me. If you do not walk carefully, >> I am going to walk. If you will not resist, I will ask you. I ask you, I will spray you. Let me go. >> I'm letting you know. I will spray you if you stop. I'm not being a resistant arrest. You doing body >> you doing body force for nothing. I swear I can walk properly and beat you. I wouldn't even put my hands behind your back. You just douched on me for no >> Where did she Where did she bite you at? >> Why you biting my officer? >> Because he grabbed my face and mashed that officer. All he had to do is say, "Can you put your hands behind?" I asked the kid to jail. So how is that a resisting race if I'm asking you to take me to jail cuz I don't know where I'm from? Right. I don't know why I asked you to take me down cuz they secure my safety. Right. So they didn't have to jump on me. >> Now all that's left is making sure the woman understands exactly what's going to happen next. >> So So you board a plane without a ticket. Let me finish. Let me finish. Let me finish. You're finished. You board a plane without a ticket. It cause all this chaos. His officers come out here polite, professional, courteous, and then you turn around with this officer when he's out here trying to be professional with you. >> Not making sense, >> ma'am. All he has to do is that my no problem right now is going to walk to your car. No problem. All you have to do is >> All right. We're going to get her to our car. >> Yep. Let's go. >> We'll get her in that big part. It's the diaper. See? All right, ma'am. You step inside this vehicle. Dang, they know. >> In the end, the woman was charged with trespass after warning, resisting arrest, battery, and disorderly intoxication. Man pushes his luck at the airport and pays for it. On March 1st, 2024, officers were dispatched to Orlando International Airport after reports of a man causing a disturbance. Here's what they found when they arrived. 22397 right there. Right there. >> What's What's he wearing? >> What's he wearing right now? >> Where is he? >> Where is he? >> Where is he? Right here. Turn around. Turn around. The officers begin by gathering statements from the people who witnessed the incident. >> Sir, you saw what happened? >> Did you see anything though? Not at all. No sir. >> The verbal. >> Gotcha. Did you see what happened? >> Yeah. >> Can you tell me what happened real quick? >> Yeah. Yeah. So there pretty much from the moment we got on the bus. >> Which bus? >> The right. >> This one right here. Yeah. Was that the driver? >> Yeah. >> Did he see what happened? >> No. >> No. >> Okay. >> No, he didn't know until we told him. But pretty much uh it started with the lady. She was trying to lay laying down. >> This lady that bag right there. >> Okay. >> It was a backpack. She was trying to lay on the uh the glass. She was on the far side. >> The the far would be the driver's side. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> So, it was her, him, and then me. And then she was trying >> her, him. When you say him, who him and who right there? >> This one. Okay. Okay. One of the red hat. >> Oh, gotcha. Okay. >> Yeah. And then so she was trying to lay down. She laid on her and then she was like, "Stop number like don't lay on me." And then that's when like pretty much from then on it just kept going. >> And then they were just arguing the whole time back and forth. >> Does him and her do they know each other? >> I want to say that they're married. >> They're married. >> She said she said they had four kids. >> Okay. >> Uh >> and you were sitting just right of him, right? >> Yeah. Right on the right. Uh, and then the whole time they were kind of just arguing back and forth and he was kind of just like saying like, you know, uh, like phone call out her name, phone call, saying, "I'm ruin your life when we get home." >> And I was like, "All right, that's cool." Like, you know what I mean? Whatever. Like, >> yeah, if >> you want to, you know, >> right? That's married talk. Whatever. >> Get it. >> So, what happened after that? >> Um, so then as we as we get around the corner from seat, so we drop off a lady at seat. >> Okay. >> As we come back around the corner, they're still arguing and stuff. And then he goes u she I don't I didn't hear what she said but she said something to him and he put his forearm into her chin and kind of pinned her up against the glass and then that's when me and the lady right here both were like yo yo hey bro like stop like bro don't do right now I told I got kids I don't want to see can I get another >> the witness gives officers a clearer picture of what happened inside the shuttle and naturally it leaves them with a few more questions. Uh he was like I didn't I didn't do anything and we were like bro like we just watched you put for in the >> and then we told we told him >> and then we all just kind of watched and nothing else happened from CT till here but that's pretty much what happened. >> Did um after that I guess elbow went into the neck or the chin on the glass. Was that his left elbow or his right elbow? >> Uh he leaned over so it' be his right. So he he went in and did like that here and he went right in. Like that >> on the front of the side. >> Right. I would say like right around here. >> Right around here. >> Yeah. Right around the front side. >> All right. >> Hey, it's because if you go if you go on a cruise with your in-laws my life trying to get me kicked off like >> I swear to God. >> What cruise lines you sail with? >> Royal Caribbean. >> Okay. I Canaveral. Like >> you coming back from the cruise or you going to a cruise? >> We're going back. >> Like hey, >> you want to swim? >> How'd you like it? Did you like it? Not the ship. >> Worst time of my life. >> Get out of here. >> Well, it wasn't the boat though. Not the boat. I mean, >> just the family. >> Yeah. So, the cruise itself was good though. >> Okay. >> I was going Royal Caribbean. I've never been. >> That was our first cruise. We've been married 20 years. Yeah, this the first time I've been handcuffed in my life. >> Excuse me. For a minute. >> You and Ryan, you guys are legally married. How long you guys been married? >> 20 years. >> 20 years. You have kids? >> Four. >> Four kids. Okay. So, just to get just a scan cuz I kind of came here on the tail end. You guys were leaving. The officer has heard from the witnesses. Now it's the woman's turn to explain how everything started. >> Left the hotel or something. Just kind of walk me through the events of where we are now. >> Well, he drank all night until about 2 or 2:30 and then came in and we had to be up really early because we had to be off of the boat. >> And so I >> So you guys come back from a cruise. Okay. I tried to um wake him up and all that and >> he's just been super pissed and super irritated and super mad >> throughout throughout the cruise or >> we actually had a dispute on the cruise and we were separated at one point on the cruise. >> Was it physical on the cruise as well? >> Yes. >> Did you report that to them there? No, no, no. >> I mean, I I did go to security and I did they did ask me all the questions, >> but I didn't dare to tell them. >> So, you were reluctant to tell them what happened. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, you guys get back here, get on dry land. >> Yeah. And he says, "Now that we're on dry land, there's nothing that anybody can do." And then my parents, we all live My parents live in Utah. I live in Colorado. And he's like, "As soon as your parents aren't in the picture anymore, there's nothing anybody can do. You have no idea what you've done. You have no clue what you've done. I'm going to shatter your life. I'm going to shatter your phone. I'm going to You're not welcome at my house." And then that's when he wanted my wallet. He wanted my He wanted my phone and my wallet and so that he ripped the I had it on and he ripped ripped one of the straps off >> and then I didn't want to give it to him. So then I had it like this the rest of the time but everybody saw him rip this well these guys saw him rip this first one off. >> According to the woman, what the officers have heard so far is only part of what happened. She says the man's behavior only escalated from there. And so then I was sitting here like this and I was just quiet the whole time and he just kept proceeding. I'm going to ruin everything. I'm going to shatter your life. I'm going to whatever. And then he was trying to rip this off my neck. And that's when the lady turned around and said, "I am done. I've listened to you for the last hour and I just saw you choke her and I am done. it is my duty as a paramedic, as a citizen, whatever, to you're done. Okay. >> And then he was like, "What? I'm good. Tell her I didn't choke." You know what I mean? >> And then he was calm. >> Okay. So, is there you have any significant injury? Anything that you need to be seen medically for? Anything? >> No. >> Nothing's fine. >> A broken heart. >> Okay. I can understand that. Um, do you plan what do you plan to do when you get back to Colorado? Um, my parents are having me hop on a different flight and my parents are taking me home to Utah and then they're going to go with me to Colorado to pack up my stuff to grab my kids and grab what I need to do. >> Okay. Needless to say, he won't be going with you cuz he'll be going with me. So, he'll be staying here. Okay. So that'll give you time to get back home and make the necessary arrangements that you need to take care of. >> For how long? >> Um, I can't say exactly how long. I'm assuming probably a couple days maybe. Okay. But he is going to be arrested here and charged with domestic battery. Oh my god. >> Hey, relax, man. Relax. >> I know. It's just stupid. >> I'll stand over here, man. >> What are they making faces at you or something or what? >> No, they're thanking a lady that told everybody I'm I was choking her. I've never choked her. Like, >> the officers have now heard from the witnesses and the woman. The suspect, however, tells a very different story. They're [snorts] saying thank you. Like what the like I've always said. >> What's that? >> Be tripping. >> What do you mean? I loosen them for you. >> I know you did, but my arms just keep getting heavier. >> Why don't they ever cuff the chick? >> What's that? >> Why don't they ever cuff women? We do. Believe Believe it or not. No, I won't lie to you, man. My last three domestic violence. >> I don't even know why I got cut. >> Oh, yeah. Because Karen said I choked. >> Well, it was actually a male who said that, man. But >> Well, yeah. No, it was the driver cuz she's like, "You got to call security when we get there." >> But it's fine. I mean, I get it, man. While the investigation continues, another officer speaks with a second witness to help piece together what happened. >> Okay. >> Hi, how are you? Great. Just want to give me a quick synopsis of what you saw. >> Okay. So we boarded at the Cape Canaveral and he he was sitting here behind me and she was sitting right there behind me and immediately it started. He started yelling at her and calling her names and pulling at her stuff and and I mean the whole way here he was threatening her. Um you know, yeah, I'm going to shatter you. I'm going to shatter your life. Effing this effing. I mean just just pussing at her and just verbally assaulting her the whole way. And then another lady had to get off of the van. So we all kind of got off the van and then got back on and she was sitting right here. So I really could just hear them for the trip. And then when I got back on, I got on and I sat. So I had this seat, both seats. So I kind of got on and I kind of sat sideways to face my husband >> and so I could see them. He continued to yell at her. He continued to get like this close to her face and up in her ear. And then all of a sudden he just kind of he was like this. She was sitting here. She wasn't mounding off to him. She just kept saying, "Okay, okay." And he just all of a sudden got up on his left knee and just went like this. Put his wrist right here on my neck and went like this and was in her face like right up in her ear hauling and he was choking her and she was right in the face and she was like, you know, and I just turned around like, "Okay, you're going to I don't even know what I said. I was just like, "Okay, you're I said, "That's enough. You know, you're going to stop." And he immediately when he figured out, I don't know. I think he was just in such a violent frame of mind that he just lost the fact that he was surrounded by people doing this. And so anyway, it escalated, escalated. Finally, when I told him that when he was choking her, I said, "You're going to that's enough." >> After hearing his account, the officers ask a few final questions before wrapping up the interview. >> He got up. He goes, "I'm not doing anything. I'm not doing anything. I didn't choke her." I said, "I saw you. I saw you choke her." And then he was like, "Okay." And I said, "Well, you did that in front of the wrong person because I'm going to report you." And he goes, "That's fine." And then he kind of called you names and but he sat down and then he would and then he was like he didn't come met anyone else. So, >> so when this occurred, were you guys had just left Canaveral or how far were you here from the airport or >> probably 3 minutes from the airport? Like just we had dropped another lady off at Jet Blue. >> Okay. >> And so we had just come around to work. He got back in and almost immediately when he got back in he started on her. >> Okay. So you guys were on airport property when that happened. >> Yes. And then and then he choked her was choking her out and >> Okay. Thank you. I appreciate your help. Right. And she appreciates it also. >> Okay. We're all done. >> Thank you. >> Thank you. >> Sir, stand up. >> Here's your property over here. >> Okay. They already searched you, but I got to put you in my car. So, I'm going to make sure you don't have anything on you. All right. You got anything on your poke stick or there? >> No, I have no weapon. >> All right, just relax. Thank you. >> How much money you got in your pocket? >> What are these blue pills for? >> Oh, those are my >> What are they? >> From here, the officers transport the suspect to the station. What do >> your bags? >> Yeah. >> They can't go to the jail. So, they're going to either have to go with your family or they're going to have to uh go to property evidence downtown. >> We're going to jail. >> We're going to jail. >> You want your family to take them? >> I don't know. >> I really don't know. >> Okay. It's kind of tight in there. So, what I need you to do is turn around, put your butt in first, then swing your legs in. >> He was charged with domestic battery.
