So, what started this entire thing off is the suspect had been inside of that restaurant with his small child and I believe his sister. At certain point in time, his sister got up from the table, walked outside of the restaurant, and then the suspect hopped on his cell phone, made a phone call presumably to his sister, and started yelling and screaming profanities, getting up, pacing around the restaurant, just being very disruptive to everybody inside, which caused all of the customers to one by one leave the restaurant. And it was at this point in time, one of the employees had came out of the back room to investigate what was going on. The suspect observed a laptop in the restaurant that was associated with that employee. He demanded to use it. The employee said, "No, that's not yours." And at which point in time, the suspect grabbed the employee by his head and screamed in his face. The suspect's sister walked back into the restaurant, said that somebody was going to call law enforcement on him. And that's where we get into the video. And I'm not entirely sure what's going on with the suspect. If he's just having a bad day, I'm not really sure what caused that argument or caused him to behave in that manner. If there's any alcohol or drugs on board, that's notated in the video or in the report. However, he definitely made this entire situation worse than it needed to be with regard to law enforcement. Because in my opinion, the cops here were cool, calm, and professional throughout the entire duration of this thing. As you see right in the very beginning, they're just trying to figure out what's going on, hear his side of the story because there's always two sides to every story. And clearly, the suspect wasn't having it. Didn't want to cooperate, provide a statement, provide his identifying information. He was so worked up, agitated, and angry that he lost track of his own son who ultimately ran over to be with his sister. And so everything that happened to him later on in the video as a result of his behavior, how he was acting, and failure to cooperate is definitely on him. It is just a shame that it had to be in front of his small son. And again, I don't know what was going on with the suspect. Some people you just can't get through to just again depending on what kind of day they're having or what type of substances they've ingested. If they have mental health issues and sometimes there's only one solution and that is to take somebody to jail and the suspect was going to be going to jail anyway because the employee inside of the restaurant that he had assaulted wanted to press charges against him.
