While others focused on their jobs, these ones focused on making a mess of theirs. Here are five cases when psycho employees realize they've been caught. Number five, she was supposed to be caring for people, not stealing plants. Our first case takes us to Illinois on July 30th, 2025, where officers responded to an Ace Hardware after the staff claimed that they caught a woman still in her work uniform switching merchandise tags. To make matters worse, she had already been spotted in the store before doing the exact same thing. Upon arrival, the officer immediately confronted the suspect. Here's what happened next. >> Have a seat in here. Give me one second. I'm going to talk to you now and then I will be back with you. Okay. >> Okay. Bye. >> Okay. We can just put this down. >> 126 Oak Street. >> Is that I'll talk to you in the car real quick. >> 1275 12 Oak Street in the car. >> Yeah, if you could. >> Yeah, I'm very confused. >> I'll talk to you. >> I'd rather not have it closed if that's fine. So that I can get >> I just don't want anybody else listening to their business. So >> I'm going to read your Miranda rights. Have you had your Amir rights read to you before? >> Wait, so now I'm going to jail? >> I'm not saying that by any means. Do you have any prior history of retail theft? >> No. >> Okay. I'm going to watch the video. >> Okay. Before I do anything, just to confirm what he's saying, but let me read your Miranda rightites before I talk to you any further. Okay. >> All right. >> Can Okay. Hold on. Can I >> Sure. You're fine. >> I'm I'm I'm sorry. I'm just >> I'm going to go ahead and read this to you. You don't have to talk to me. Okay. >> Okay. >> It's uh you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you a court of law. You have the right to talk to a lawyer and have them present with you while you're being questioned. If you cannot afford to hire a lawyer, won't be appointed to represent you before any question if you wish. >> You can decide at any time to exercise these rights, not answer any questions or make any statements. Do you understand each of these rights I've explained to you? >> And having those uh rights in mind, do you wish to talk to me about what happened today? >> Yes. >> Okay. All right. So, I haven't watched the video yet, but he said you've been removing >> on multiple occasions other than today. >> Have you been here previously? >> I I I've been here many times. Yes, I've come here for plants. >> Sure. >> Love some plants every time. You know, grab right in here and everything. I've been here multiple times where the ladies were cuz they usually get a tray, you know, usually get like five, six plus plants. and she said, "You know, if you have multiple, you can take the tag off, or if they're bigger than like um a pint or quart, you can take the label off and bring it in." I said, "Thank you so much." >> The woman was caught taking tags off potted plants and loading them into her car, but she's quick to offer an explanation. in time before last. I did have a >> show. I did look through their um morning jasmine and everything. I >> did remove the tag and everything >> like a owner or not, sorry, not an owner, employee said that I could previously do. I could put them out. I just put them in front of my car and everything. I went inside. I was talking to the older lady with glasses that is currently still working in there and has checked me out multiple times before and everything. I thought I paid for everything. Um, he said that I had tickets and or tags and they were in the candy and everything and I end up not paying for those. Said I apologize. That was not my intention. I've been here multiple times and I was going to not take steal in any way and then come back and try to steal or take again. I said, you know, I apologize. I'm more than happy to pay for anything. He goes, nope, we're calling the cops going to jail. And I said, I I don't feel like that is necessary, but I am happy. >> I'm not saying you're going to jail by any means. Even if even if it rises that level, I can give you a notice to appear if you're cooperative. I just want to just make sure because he's saying that what you're doing is you're taking the tags >> off cheaper items, going and paying for those and then taking the more expensive items is the way he's explained it to me. I'm going to go watch the video. Okay. >> And and I did remove tags again today because it was raining and everything and they were bigger ones. And again, I was told from previous times if it is a bigger one, I can put it out in front of my car and bring the tags in and everything. And I was looking at the big ones versus the little ones and everything. I assumed I took off um tags and everything of the appropriate ones and everything, I I brought him inside. Okay. >> So then when he came out and he was like, "Hey, you you were here last week." And I turned around and I said, "Yeah, yes, I was." >> Yeah. >> While the officers haven't seen the tape, reports make it clear that the store security cameras caught the woman in the act of switching tags. >> Not hiding here to lie, cheat, steal anything. You know, if there were ones that I did not >> Do you got your ID on you? >> Yes. >> All right. Thank you. Want to see? Thank you. I'm going to run in watch the video if you just want to hang out with her real quick. Yep. >> And I'm keep your leg so I can just shut the door for now. >> Victoria, keep the door open if that's >> right. But I got to go in my car real quick. So, I just need you to keep your legs in and I'll come back. Okay. >> Then can I stand outside the car? No, cuz right now you are detained for this until we can watch video and figure it out. Okay. As I said, you've been awesome and cooperative. So, >> okay. I >> not saying you're going to be stuck in here by any means. I just have >> 12297. I'm going to run her real quick, too, and just see if she's got any prior for >> this. Sure, that works. So, basically what she's doing the last time she took she got a tray of flowers. >> She goes in and she um took the tags off a couple plants >> and um she paid for the tray and then hid the the tags in a barrel below the cash register. So, I'm good there for sure. Today she took the tags off two plants and put them underneath the plants and then she basically paid for the right amount of plants but she paid for the cheaper >> of the two. She basically swip switch >> they're 50% off. >> I know >> she has >> Oh, she does. >> County. Oh, okay. >> Oh, perfect. I appreciate that. Um, >> the officers are quick to run the woman's information and that's when they discover something that complicates things even further. >> Okay. Thank you. So, you've got a warrant. I don't know if you knew that. >> I have a warrant? >> Yeah. For DUI. >> Well, I did all I did all my stuff for that. >> So, sometimes what can happen is like um miss a pay. Do you Did you move or anything >> from Canton? >> Okay. To here. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Um I sent I thought >> Michael >> Yeah, something must have got missed or missed a court date or something. >> Um, let me finish with this real quick. Okay, so on the 25th you came in and I watched the video. All right. And they've actually put out videos of this incident asking for the public's help and identifying you. Um, you came in, you bought a tray of flowers, you took the tags off two some plants out here. You took them in and you hit them in the barrel. I'm watching you on video do that. Okay. So, you've been cooperative with me today. I'm probably not going to charge you with the felony. I'm going to charge you with the misery because this has happened twice now. All right. Um, today you paid for you took the tags off, hit them underneath a plant. I watched you on video do it and then you paid for the cheaper of the two plants and loaded up the more expensive ones. Okay. I'm only going to charge you with a misdemeanor today. Although it technically happened on two occasion I could charge you with the felony. You're already in enough trouble. I don't want to do that. Okay. Is that what happened pretty much accurately? Yes. >> Okay. All right. Well, thank you for being honest. And because you were honest, I'm only going to charge you with the misdemeanor. All right. But I got I was going to give you an NTA, but you got the warrant, so I have to send you for the warrant. So, I'm going to have to send you for this, but I'll do the misdemeanor. I'll do it under. >> The DUI warrant means she's headed to jail, but it's not the only charge she'll be facing today. >> So, when you say like going booking for the for the warrant? Yes. You have to see aud? >> No, for the warrant for the DUI warrant. >> Correct. But I I have to go in front of a judge today and all that. It might be early enough where you still get in front of a judge today. >> Can I Can I get my purse and stuff? >> Yeah, we'll get yours. We'll get your impound. >> We'll No, we'll I'll talk with them and make sure we can leave this since you were cooperative versus Can you have somebody come pick it up? >> I was going to say, can I call someone? >> Go ahead. Absolutely. >> Yeah. In fact, I would do that right now. See if you can get them to come. >> Okay, >> Victoria. Yeah, we're definitely willing to work with you. Okay. So, we don't want to do that to your car and whatnot, but the warrant, we can't just bypass that. >> So, we'll have >> Yeah, totally. I I >> And we'll have to switch out the plants and get the correct ones in your car versus the two that you >> can I can I open the car and >> uh you're being cooperative with us. Just don't go to the driver's side. Just stay on the passenger side. Okay. Come on. >> Again, if you truly don't maybe understand. >> Well, actually, hang tight. I'm going to have him come out and show me which plants you're supposed to have and we'll switch them with him here. So, okay. But yeah, if you truly maybe are not sure you did everything you're supposed to do with the DUI stuff, >> um, explain that. You know what I mean? But unfortunately, either whether it's today or another time you get pulled over or something like we're just Yeah. >> Is that Is that your only prior is >> Yeah. >> And you've never been in any other trouble. Okay. >> Okay. Yeah. >> All right. >> No big deal. >> Yeah. He posted it all over Facebook, too. >> The video of last incident. So, had you not seen that yet? >> No. Okay. All right. So, they were looking for you when you came in today. So, just so you know. Is that the only two times you've done this? Cuz they're going through video now. So, okay. >> With a trespass warning issued, the next step is simple. She asked to return the plants and undo the tag swap. >> If you want to hop out and switch the plants out. These were the two that you were supposed to have. Okay. Did you get a hold of him? >> Um, I did get a hold of him. Did he say anything about like >> he I'll let you talk to him about that if you want to get out. And uh uh he said you are going to be banned from the property. Okay. I'm just I'll let him >> Yeah, go ahead. Just do it from the passenger side here for me. Thank you. >> You all good with me? >> Um, do you want to just tell her she's banned? I told her, but >> you're banned. >> Understandable. Do can I have someone come and get the car? It will be a little bit for afterwards or is there >> How how long are you talking? >> Um I mean he said it might be like 2 hours. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. I >> before leaving the officer runs through the next steps with the woman once again, making sure she's clear on what will follow. >> I ask him for I ask him for a little leeway to not tow your car for a little bit. So, um, and he sounds like he's not going to just have him as quick as possible try to get it out of here cuz the more he thinks about it, he's pretty upset right now, he might, you know. So, >> so as silly as it sounds, cuz >> I don't I don't know this process. I'm sure. So, I'm going to count >> you'll go out to the county jail, you'll get booked in and then for warrants now, you got to see a judge. >> And so then, as silly as that sounds, is that like they start seeing people on three? Uh it's up to the it's up to the county >> and like I >> Yeah, it's up to the county. Um this whole process is new to all of us. So it's up to the judge and the county like when you get to see like I not to the county, it's up to the judge. So is it if you get out there early enough, which you might still it's possible you could see one today and then get released, but it's possible it could be tomorrow, too. >> Okay. >> Okay, >> understandable. Yeah, we'll try to get you out there as soon as possible and hopefully. >> Thank you. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. You've been cooperative with us. So, >> with a suspect seated in the cruiser, the officers finished the necessary paperwork before wrapping up the arrest. >> Nope. That looks good. >> Does she have somebody for their car? >> Yes. But it's going to be a couple hours. And then I told him her to talk to him cuz he didn't give me like a straight up answer. >> He's just like like kind of looked at me like he wants a towel so bad. too mad at her, which I get. Um, and then he gave her a big lecture and said he would basically I think he's going to let it stay. He's like, I want to stick it to you so bad, but okay. At 2 hours, it'll be fine. So, I'm gonna >> when the wagon gets here, I'm going to go back up there one more time and look >> look at that video a little bit more just to I wrote the times down, but I don't think anybody will make an issue of it that I did it that way to keep it a misdemeanor. >> I don't think so. >> Yeah, I just know technically on the second one it's supposed to be a felony, I think. But I I don't want to charge her with that since she was cooperative. Sorry, Tremble. I was going to >> say sorry to me. Leave a few perfectly quiet day. >> She had a warrant. Nothing. >> Now, come on. >> Let's see. Chocolate being cooperative. I don't know. Go get her information. Write her noticed up here. Call it a day. If if it wasn't the warrant >> out of your pockets except for money and put it in this bag for me. >> She was being very cooperative though >> and somehow you found a way to screw the young lady over on top of being booked and processed for her outstanding warrants. The woman was also charged with theft. Number four, pretending to be a pro made this woman a professional con artist. In this next case, police are called to investigate a disturbing report. A woman was accused of posing as a registered nurse by using someone else's license to get a job at a Florida hospital. When officers dug deeper, they learned that she treated more than 4,400 patients without a valid license from mid 2023 to early 2025. The shocking part, the truth only came out when a co-orker checked her credentials during a possible promotion. This is the moment officers confronted her. Hey there. Are you Autumn? >> Yeah. >> Can you step out of the car for me, please? >> Sure. >> Just turn around and put your hands behind your back. >> Oh, wait. What's going on? >> Put your hands on your back. >> Okay. My car's across the street. >> Okay. All right. All right. >> Am I being arrested? >> Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. >> Can I ask But can I >> We have plenty of time to talk. >> Okay. >> Just Just relax. >> Can I turn my car off? >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We We'll take care of that. Can I call my boss so I can tell her we can't go see this? >> Yeah. You You have any other weapons besides? >> It's not a weapon. It's third raptors. They're trou. >> Oh, okay. [Music] >> Do I need my license? >> Um cage car. >> So your car is okay here then? >> Yeah. Can I have my phone though just in case? >> Yeah. Yeah, we'll we'll we'll take it with us. Um >> I have >> What's your daughter's name? >> Okay. >> Let's just get the basics. >> Who's who's watching her right now? >> Um the girl who lives across the street is her do it's her sister. She doesn't live there. She's just staying there temporarily. >> How old is the person that she's with? >> Um Gabby. I think she's 24 or 25. >> She's an adult. >> Yeah. If I could just tell her what's going on. >> Yeah, we'll definitely do that. Um, >> but we what we try not to do is upset your daughter, obviously. Okay. >> Yeah. Can I I promise I won't go anywhere. >> Okay. So So let me ask you, where do you where do you normally stay? >> I just moved here. >> You So you live here. Who do you live with? >> Um, it's my girlfriend and my daughter. >> Okay. So, can your girlfriend watch your child? >> Yeah, I think she's on call tonight cuz she works in the hospital. But >> I mean I mean how long was is the neighbor going to watch watch your child for? >> Um, until like 5:30. until like what times what time's your girlfriend? >> She'll be home by then. Well, she gets off at 5 5:30, so it'll be okay. Can I just go explain to them? >> After what she's managed to get away with for years, officers aren't taking any chances. Those cuffs are staying on. Her concern for her daughter is understandable, but right now she has far more serious legal trouble to deal with. >> We'll bring them out before anybody goes anywhere. That way we do it without >> Are you okay with her seeing you like that? Because >> I'd rather her not see me in cuffs. And I promise I will not go anywhere. >> I just want to go in and talk to her >> to your to your daughter. >> Yes. And just or in the care. >> Well, I mean, so so we we have protocols that we have to we have to do, too. Um, so >> uh yeah, I called for um so we can uh so let me just tell you there is a felony warrant for your arrest. Okay. The bond the there is a bond on it. Okay. Which is good. It's I believe 70,000 is the bond amount. Okay. Um so you can bond out. >> What? For what? For what? >> Um >> you know what all this is about? >> Not really. I kind of had something with the Department of Health, but I had my license. >> Okay. >> And I thought it was squared away because it's clear and active. >> Okay. So that that does stem from this. Um, we were contacted, not me directly, but some a guy with um, Health and Human Services reached out to you a couple months ago. >> Yeah. And I had had an attorney and I haven't heard anything since. >> Okay. So, the attorney reached out to him and said that you were currently being represented and all that other stuff. >> Yeah. >> I'd love to have a conversation with you, but if you're represented by an attorney and that's somebody that wants to be here for all that that kind of questioning, I obviously am limited on where this conversation can go. Can I know what doesn't feel like? >> It's it has to do with with with medical fraud. I can get the exact thing. I don't remember off the top of my head, but it has to do medical and stuff stuff like that. >> Okay. >> Um >> you have um you have seven counts of uh identity theft and seven counts of practicing without a license. And this does stem from everything with the Department of Health and Advent Health and all of that stuff. >> I mean, you're you're already aware of it. We you you've given statements to them to other investigators before. This is just your first time meeting. >> Most would expect a full confession by now, but she's still holding on to the act. >> I didn't. >> So, no, I I've I've been with the other guys whenever they're doing their investigation, but I was not face to face with you. >> Okay. Okay. >> So, >> so >> can I just on my phone at least? >> Yeah. Well, no, no, no worries. We'll let you do all that. Um, now we we can't just take the handcuffs off you because I mean you I know you're saying you're not going to fight, but I mean you've seen TV, you watch the movies like like you see. >> I've never had record. I've never done anything. >> I'm not saying I'm not saying you have. Okay. But we just don't want to we we don't want it to escalate to some place that we that we put it um because we take the handcuffs off you. But what we can do is get the person who's watching your child and if you want to tell them what's going on, you certainly can. I mean, or if you want us to tell them, >> can I call them? Can I Can you just take him off so I can call her on the phone at least? >> Yeah. Yeah, that's fine. >> Okay. >> No, no, no. I'm not going to but I'm going to grab your phone. >> We'll grab your phone and put on speaker for you. >> Yeah, we'll grab We'll grab your phone and put on speaker. No, no. The point is is that is that I'm not saying you're going to do anything. We >> We take the handcuffs off that gives you the that puts it there. Okay. >> Okay. It's not >> like your front door's open. >> Yeah, I was walking. Yeah. Please. >> Did you want to step inside out of the heat >> for a second? Is that Are you >> Yeah. I mean, no. Anyone else inside the house? >> Grab your keys. >> Okay. Can these I promise. >> Can anyone Is anyone else inside the house? >> Just my dog, but he's >> Can these be taken off? I I won't do anything. >> We We can't take take them off for right for right now. Okay. >> What? >> Here. I mean I mean like I said, just [Music] >> here. I'll just move my car in the driveway. [Applause] [Music] She may still be pleading her case, but there's no avoiding what's ahead. After risking the safety of thousands, she'll be facing a judge. [Music] [Music] You don't have anything on the [ __ ] You took the AirPods out, you said? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Stand by for a second. >> Turn this back on real quick. Watch your leg. In the end, she's charged with identity theft and practicing without a license. One count of each for every month she allegedly worked under false credentials. Number three, entitled contractor meets a reality check. On April 19th, 2025 in Charlotte County, Florida, officers responded to a contractor's home for a reported domestic disturbance between the man and his girlfriend. >> Going on here earlier, >> um I had to bring my kids home from the beach. I mean, me and my girlfriend got into an argument, but that's about it. >> Okay. Where's she? >> Um I don't know. When I left, she was here, so I don't know. >> Okay. What's your name? >> Um I'm going to go inside. I don't need to discuss this with you. >> No, we got to investigate and make sure that no domestic occurred. >> Hey, excuse me. >> Okay, we got to call it some kind of domestic occurred here. I got to I just have to make sure everybody's okay. >> Okay, well, go inside then. Check. >> That's Go ahead. >> I'm not You are not free to go right now. >> Okay, so you're going to detain me. >> What? >> Are you detaining me? >> Huh? >> Are you detaining me? >> You're not free to go right now. We have to investigate property and >> I understand that but we got >> we got dismember we are talking >> a domestic disturbance okay with somebody out here screaming and beating on a car >> you said you're talking to your girlfriend right >> yeah my girlfriend >> she's inside that's where he wants to talk to you >> hey let me call you back man the police are here for domestic violence on so let me call you back >> all right buddy see you >> we don't know if it was physical at all that's all we have to determine Once we if we determine that, we can go. That's all it is. >> Whatever you need me to do. What do you need me to do? >> Uh, give us our information is what you need to do. What's your name? >> Joel. Would you like my identification? >> Sure. That makes it easier. I appreciate it. >> No problem. >> Doesn't have to be that complicated. And I get and I get your your frustration. >> I just don't understand who called you because me and my girlfriend had an argument. I left. I had to bring my kids home. We just got married. >> One of the neighbors did. I don't even know who. >> Refused. >> Okay, that's fine. The neighbors, they they don't like me in the first place because >> of of confrontation that we've had. Okay. Okay. And the neighbor right here is a little That's why me and him, he got into it. He don't want to fight me and he called you guys. All right? That's what it is. Cuz my girlfriend's begging him. >> That's all it is. All right. I promise you. I don't put my hands on women. All right? So, you can come check my house. You can check her. Her name is >> Joel is quick to defend himself, talking over the officers instead of hearing them out. And as you'll soon see, that choice is going to backfire. >> I understand that. I'm just upset, you know. I understand. >> And I come home, you guys sit here in my driveway like harassing me. Like >> it's not harassment. >> It is because you know what? I'm going to jail in 5 days for a DUI because um >> Can I just have your ID? >> Yeah. Exactly. Okay. You don't care because you don't have a life. I do. >> Yeah. Yeah. I don't have a life. Yeah. >> You don't. You're a cop. I You know what? I payroll. I'm the one that gives you the money to to do what you're doing right now to harass me. >> I'm a general contractor. And when I do right here, All right. This is ridiculous. And I know you you're like, "Oh, hey." Yeah. No, but it is because anyone else that goes to court and gets a DUI, they get uh what? Dropped. This is my first DUI ever that I got. All right. Eight months ago, I hired two attorneys and they still didn't throw it out. >> What's a good phone number for you? >> And you don't pull over piece like that. You got people doing >> What's a good phone number for you? 428. Thank you. >> Yeah. No, I You're right. I I graduated grade school 20 years ago. What's going on here? >> You okay, man? >> Are you okay? >> Oh, this is awesome. No, it is awesome. What are you a rookie? Okay. I want your sergeant here because you know you're you're like >> I'm acting like an >> You know what? You're on my property. All right. And I come here and you're acting straight disrespect to me. >> I'm not acting violence. >> No, I did because you did. >> Okay. You are I apologize. >> There's some kind of domestic has occurred here. Okay. And we're just trying to determine that everything's cool. >> Okay. >> Please, by all means, because there's no domestic here. All right. My girlfriend and I got into an argument. I took my kids home because we went to the beach. All right. I don't know where she went. I don't know if she's here. >> I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I just >> Here she is. She's beaten up. Get out of my house. All right. >> Out. >> You want to go to jail tonight and let's go. >> Joel, stop. >> Don't call the cops saying I you up or something. >> Joel, go over here. >> No, I'm up. >> Joel, >> he reveals more about his legal troubles, but instead of helping his case, his behavior pushes him further into trouble. Don't stop. >> No. >> Trying to hurry. >> This doesn't have to be that. >> I can go right now or I can go in 5 days. Don't matter. You know why? Cuz you're I I pay you guys. I go in 5 days no matter what. You know why? I'm cleaning up to 45 days of your probation or DUI. >> Okay. >> Tell me how the work that has anyone else. >> I go to jail. Everybody, as you record the golden rule of law, you had nothing to do with why we're here. It had nothing to do with us. That had nothing to do with us. I'm sorry. Y'all are more than welcome. >> No, they're not. They're not. >> There's nothing going on. I'm sorry. I just got out the shower. >> You mind talking to her? >> You don't need to go to jail tonight. >> Stop. Go inside. >> I want to go now. I want to go. >> Take me in jail. Go inside. Go inside. >> I'm going to talk to her because it's my right. >> Hey, Tommy, you boy. >> That's enough, man. >> Oh, it's enough. No, I had enough. I tried being ass by you. I've done nothing but pay my taxes. I own four companies in this company. I pay my taxes. I do my thing. All right. And you want to hang me for a DUI? >> That has nothing to do with me. >> Oh, it doesn't. Oh, it has to do with the judge. No, but you pull me over driving down 41 thinking I'm cuz I don't so I'm intoxicated. >> You're yelling at me like I'm the deputy who was involved in that at all. It >> don't matter. You do that. All you back to blue, right? Y'all the gang of Charlotte County. Y'all placed a pistol under my friend's car. >> Call I want supervisor. >> I just called them. >> As the male officer tries to keep Joel calm, the female officer checks on his girlfriend to make sure she's truly unharmed and that nothing physical happened. They're working together to keep the situation from escalating, but it soon becomes clear that Joel's not interested in listening. >> I was in the shower. I was I'm burnt cuz I was at the beach all day. >> I was You're good. >> Like, I'm sorry I heard y'all knocking. I was trying to hurry up. >> I was trying to hurry up in the shower. >> No, he's never hit me. >> Look, you're more than welcome. You can treat my whole body. >> Let me strip for you. >> He's never Look, he's never hit here. You want me pull my pant legs up? >> Yeah, I would appreciate it. >> Do you want to walk inside? I can pull my pants down cuz these are Okay, cuz look, I don't have I got a tail line now. >> Um I just need to make sure he hasn't hit you. >> No, he's never >> go inside. Don't go inside. >> Come inside. Go inside. >> I'm just telling him you never put >> I don't know. Get inside, Britney. Please. >> She doesn't have She's not going to go inside right now cuz she's talking to her. >> Okay. >> No that. You know what? Last time. >> All right, that's enough. >> You know what? The last officer that checked my wife actually arrested my wife and I handcuffed her behind the back when she was pregnant and that's illegal as and that's why I got shot in the over there at the gas station. >> I don't care. Put Go inside. >> Let me go inside. >> She's not inside. >> You're going to say, huh? Who the >> All right, turn around. Put your hands on your back, man. >> Wow. Why? >> Why? >> Where's the phone? Where's your phone? >> Can I want to do Can I have a Can I give him a kiss by y'all, please? Cuz I do love >> He's just detained right now. He's just detained. >> Can I just give you a kiss? >> I can't stand. >> I get you're upset, but we're just asking because we need to figure it out. >> You don't need to figure nothing out. >> We need to make sure that there was >> You're on my property. to put me in the nose. >> Joel can't stop talking about his DUI, but that's only part of the problem. The arrest will bring even more consequences. >> I'm so sick of being harassed. I can't take it. I want anybody of being harassed. >> Just hang out over here. >> Everyone gets their their DUI drop to reckless and I go 45 days in your probation. >> What you're yelling at me for right now is nothing to do with me >> because y'all harassed me cuz I did my time. I did six and a half years of prison for sale. Okay, I don't do that no more. I'm I'm a licensed contractor in the state of Florida. I don't do that. I >> Okay, >> I have two kids. I have a family. My wife just died. Okay, I'm trying to live my life. And that little right there, I know he's the one that called you, okay? Cuz he don't like me cuz he's with her and he >> I don't know who called it. I know who called refused on my screen. That's >> cuz that little right there called him. I swear to God you me. I'll go over there myself. I promise you. I'm so Get me right now. I want to get the I got 45 days. Let me do my 45 days. Get up. Let me get on my own life. I want to go back up north, please. I want to get out of Charlotte County. Let me get out of Charlotte County. >> I'm so sick of this. Y'all harass me every I drive down the road. Pull me up for what? ill illuminated license plate. Really? Cuz I my license plate wasn't as good enough for your your liking. It wasn't bright enough. It's still on, but it wasn't bright enough. >> You know what? That's why that shot in the head. Cuz you guys do stupid like this. >> That's awesome, man. >> Yeah. No, it is. It is awesome. You know why? Because it's justed up how you guys treat people around here. >> You abuse your authority. >> Okay. >> No, it's not okay. It's not okay. Where's your body camera at? >> It's on. It's not on. >> Trust me, it's on. >> All right, your honor. You see this right here? This is abuse of authority. Did I touch him? No. Did I do anything physical? No. And he put me in cuffs. See this? No. My girlfriend said there was no physical abuse and they still cuffed me on a domestic. So why am I in cuffs? >> Because of your threatening active behavior coming in my face, screaming in my face. >> Am I in your face? Am I in your face? >> You were. >> Oh, was I? Cuz you were. No, cuz this is in your face. I was not in your face, officer. >> You were in my face. >> I was not in your face, officer. >> You're telling her to go inside when we need to talk to her. Joel's heard the explanation several times already, but maybe hearing it from a sergeant will make the difference. >> I'm not explaining this over and over. >> Exactly. Why do you need to talk to her? Cuz there's nothing wrong with her. Why do you need to talk to her? Please tell me. >> Because we had investigated a whatever domestic occurred investigated. What domestic occurred here? There's no >> It doesn't matter what I say to you. >> Exactly. There's no domestic that occurred to you. >> Stay right there. >> No, you're full of domestic occurred to you. You're abusing your power. >> So, we got dispatched. Obviously, there's some kind of domestic. A neighbor called in. Some male banging on the car. >> He pulled he pulled in. He pulled in a second. I'll talk to you. >> He pulled in right as we got here. He's comes out of the car. >> Just >> I'll talk to you in a second, man. Just in a second. >> He starts screaming at us, telling us to get off his property and wouldn't let us check on her. Um eventually he said we could check on her. >> You can go there. >> Will you shut your mouth so I can talk to him? >> No, cuz you're lying to yourself. >> I'm not lying. >> Take him to jail for obstruction. >> All right, >> officer. Come on. >> Nope. Run your mouth. >> I'm sorry. Nope. >> Come on. I'm sorry. Careful. >> Careful to look. He's allowed for >> It's all on my body cam. >> Go in there. All right. I told you to go in. >> Well, we don't need your permission to do >> I know you don't. Please listen to me. All right. >> Put him in a car. >> Go in. Go on the other side. Please say that's going to be all right. >> Huh? >> You told me to bring you to jail. >> I know cuz I'm over this. I'm always getting harassed for no reason. I didn't even do anything. >> You got anything on you? >> No, sir. >> Can I please talk to you, please? >> I tried to give you that opportunity. >> Can I run your mouth? >> I'm sorry. >> I was giving I apologize. >> I'm done. Sit in the car. >> Can I apologize? Can I please talk to you? I'm just upset. >> Sit in the car. >> Yes, sir. >> So, they um I just talked to her. He was hanging on the car because he was trying to get the kids in the car. He was pissed off that they weren't getting the car that >> Okay, that's not Well, that's fine. He's not going to jail for any of that. He's going to jail for structuring your investigation. >> That's fine. >> Before clearing the scene, the officers give Joel's girlfriend a chance to share her side to the story. But regardless of what she says, Joel's still going to the station tonight. >> None none of this is anything to do with you. >> Look, it's been a rough day. We've been at the beach all day. >> Okay. the kids home. The loud banging on the car had to be like, you know, cuz the kids like they're they're five and nine. Okay. They wouldn't get in the car. They didn't want to go back to Nan's house. >> Okay. Well, he's also intoxicated. I can >> sometimes. >> Yeah. Probably because he's drunk. And as soon as he starts interfering with us and says you can't go check on butt back inside now >> or anything that and starts interfering with our investigation, >> then he got all my information. Go now. You want to go to jail, too? I'll take you to jail. >> So, >> so and then I try to give him a chance. >> Sorry, I have I feel so like naked right now in front of you. >> I try to give him a chance and then he's still out here arguing. Won't even let me talk to anybody so he can go for the obstruction for interfering with the investigation. As mentioned by the officer, Joel was charged with obstruction. Number two, day one on the job and day one in handcuffs. This next case takes us to January 13th, 2023, where a Door Dash driver's first day on the job ends with her hitting a homeowner's mailbox. Here's how the officers handled it. >> So, understand this is not her house, correct? >> But that's her car as she pulled into this person's >> first night of Door Dash. >> Okay. >> Um, she said something happened in her vehicle. Uh, she was unable to turn or something and went over the mailbox. >> How much do you love me right now coming up here? >> All right. Okay. >> So, quick rundown here. Just give me a rundown. So, this lady >> saying that there's some issues with her car. So, it can't turn. She hit this mailbox. She pulled into this driveway, uh, which is not hers, and asked him if they can leave the car there. >> So, there's some open alcohol in the car and whatnot. So, I'm going to throw this in here. >> Um, I'm just going to have you watch. >> Okay. >> Um, that way you can see the process going and whatnot. There'll be some cues that you're going to want to see um that you'll have me you you'll hear me say and do all things that we're going to need to have happen. Okay. >> So, all these marks are hers. >> Yeah, I think so. >> And then like they go way down the street, too. We'll check it out. >> Okay. I'm going to take a look at this then we'll Yeah. So, that's what I was expecting. A flat tire. Oh, yeah. She smoked something. Okay. >> Okay. Let's >> After checking the car and the damage, the officer turns his attention to the driver now sitting in the back of the cruiser. >> How you doing, ma'am? >> Can you go ahead and hang up the phone while I talk to you real quick? >> Uh, are you going to talk to me? >> I am going to talk to you. Okay. My name's Officer Traffic Unit. Just know everything's on body camera. Okay. So, tell me real quick what's going on tonight. So, I was door dashing from McDonald's. Can you not put that right in my face, please? Can you like >> Is that better for you >> a little bit? >> Okay. >> So, I was turning around and I heard a clunk clunk on my vehicle. >> Mhm. >> And my car wouldn't go forward or reverse. >> Mhm. >> So, I was trying to figure out what was going on. I got it to pull forward, but that was it. I got out. I talked to the homeowners telling them that I was door dashing. I am new to Door Dashing that it's my first time. I just got accepted. I been in the area for about a year and a half, but I'm not familiar with the area. And if I can leave my vehicle, I can have it towed in the morning. If not, then I understand if it has to be, you know, towed out of their way, but other than that, like there's not much I could do at 12:00 at night. I do have a regular at my job that towes vehicles for the police department that I was gonna call >> to tow my vehicle. Okay. >> Um but I'm would just like to go home. I can't obviously >> How many How many times you go around this call stack? >> I went around it probably about once. >> Is that before or after you hit the mailbox? It was while I was trying to get my car and when my car locked up. That is when I hit the mailbox cuz I was trying to go forward or reverse. Okay. >> Like it wasn't that I hit the mailbox and my car just >> No, my car wouldn't drive forward or straight. And when I was trying to get it to go, that's when it hit the mailbox and I was trying to like align it and it wouldn't turn or anything. It It wouldn't do anything. Did you hit anything before this? >> No. >> Talking with a driver, the officer picks up a faint scent of alcohol. And while the crash doesn't appear to be from impairment, they still need to check if she's fit to be behind the wheel in the first place. >> Okay. How many times you say you went through? >> I went I was trying to go through it once. Yes. I was trying to turn around and my car locked up trying to go around it and that's when it wouldn't turn or do anything. >> All right. Then you hit the mailbox. >> Yes. I was I was trying to go either around or back and it wasn't doing anything. And that's when I was trying to get it into something so it wasn't just on the street. And that's when I talked to the homeowners and they said my vehicle was okay until the morning to be towed. >> Okay. All right. So again, my name's off. I'm with the traffic. Okay. So I do two things here. I do DUI enforcement and I do traffic crash investigations. Okay. That's what I'm doing. Can you tell me how much alcohol you've consumed tonight? Uh, not much. I haven't >> What's not much to you? >> I've maybe had a drink. >> A drink? >> A drink? A long time ago. >> Okay. How long How long ago? Like what was it? >> I don't know how long ago. Probably about 9 8:30 9:00. >> This evening or in the morning? >> This evening? >> This evening. Okay. What was it you drank? >> I had a shot of like Conac. >> Okay. Any prescription tonight? >> No. >> Okay, cool. So, what I'm going to have you do, I'm going to have you come out, step out of the car. We're going to do you do some field sobriety screenings real quick just to make sure that you are under the legal limit. You are not impaired. And that way, I can say that you were good to go to drive. Okay. Then that this is just a traffic crash. Okay. Simple as that. >> There isn't no traffic. >> Well, I mean, you have a flat tire. You hit >> I have a flat tire. That's not a crash, though. >> Okay. So, >> why why would a flat tire indicate a crash? >> Yeah. You went off the road. >> You can hit a curb. You can hit a curb and be a flat tire. That doesn't mean >> it's called driving off the roadway though, okay? It's a single vehicle. It's considered a motor vehicle collision. Okay? You drove off the roadway. You collided with a with a mailbox. Okay? So, it's just property. It's real simple. It's real low lowkey. Not a big deal. I'm going to I'm going to ask you to step out, though. >> But we're on private property. >> It's clear she's comfortable arguing her side, but the officer isn't having it. >> This is not private property. This is real. >> Okay. >> But where my at is private property, please. >> Ma'am, what's your name? I'm not shining in your Oh, >> okay. What's your name? >> It's directly my face. >> What's your name? My name is I >> What I want you to do, I want you to step out of the car for me cuz I'm going to put place you through filter by screen. >> Go ahead and put your phone and stuff in your pocket. You can leave it in here. I don't care. >> Come over here. See my car that has the lights on? We're going to go walk over to the front of that. >> All right. Just stop right about here. You're going to have to go ahead and stay off your car. >> Okay. I'm going to tell the person that's on the phone with me >> what's going on. >> Okay. Well, hang up with him. >> Okay. I'm not going to hang up, but I'm going to tell him what's going on so he could be on the phone and listen. >> That's fine. Sit in your pocket, though. >> Okay. I understand that. So, my phone is going in the pocket so I could do a sobriety field test. >> Mhm. >> So, and if I refuse to do this, then what happen? >> Then I'm going to arrest you >> for what? >> For DUI. >> All right. So, you're going in my pocket. I'm not gonna hang up, though. >> Okay. You hear me? Okay. Bye. >> Okay. So, this is a series of three tests. These three tests are standardized in all 50 states and all four territories of the United States of America. Okay. So, this area here is flat, free of debris. There's nothing that's going to cause any tripping, falling, hazards, anything like that. Do you have any ailments that may inhibit your ability to walk, stand, or balance? >> No. or yes, you just shrug your shoulders. No, >> you can walk. Okay. Right. >> I'm cold, so I might be a little shaky. >> Okay. Shaky's okay. I'm out here with you. >> All right. >> All right. So, they're real simple. If you if you're not impaired, >> I'm just cold. >> Super super simple. Okay. So, for the first test, stand on my flashlight, please. And you're going to turn and face me. >> Okay. For this test, this is an eye test. So, I know you don't like my flashlight in your eyes, but I'm going to use it to reflect the light into your eyes so I can see your eyes better. Feet together like this. Hands at your sides. >> She passes the first test easily. But the real challenge lies in the exercises still to come. >> My head's supposed to stay straight and my eyes is only supposed to move. My eyes is with it. >> I know. >> All right. Go ahead and check it out. Warm your hands up for me. >> I just want to put them in my pocket. I just want to put them in my pocket. You can do that for a minute. I'm cold. I'm cold. >> So that's the first test done. Okay. That's just our eye exam. Our eye test. Okay. >> So, the second test here, you don't have any knee surgeries or anything like that. >> I do have bad knees. I do have bad knees. >> Anything diagnosed by a doctor? >> Uh, not. No. >> Ever had any surgeries? >> I've had surgery. Yes. On my leg on on on my leg. >> Which leg? >> And then I've had my tubes were removed, but I had surgery on this >> I believe it's >> this leg. >> What was it for? Uh, I broke my leg down at the bottom where it attached to the ankle. I I jumped out of a moving car. >> I didn't do it correctly. I was going to say that's >> I didn't do it correctly. I know. It was a gravel rug, but I broke the little bone. >> How long was it? >> It was um >> like how long ago? >> It was right before my daughter was born. So about 14 years ago. >> 14 years ago. All right. Since then, have you been able to to walk normally or is there any outstanding like long-term effects? >> I don't know. I just I walk. You walk out as far as normal. I don't know, but like I walk. >> So this one we're going to step back a little bit more because it's our walking test. Okay. So see you're take two more steps back for me. Okay. There we go. Perfect. So you see this the line and the the roadway. There's some like maybe some We're not going to walk on it. We're going to walk next to it though. Okay. So if you just take another little side step over just a little bit more. A little bit more for me. Perfect. Okay. So that's that's a fairly straight line, right? Can you imagine that there is a parallel line to that that's also straight that goes right to my bumper. >> Can you imagine that? >> Okay. >> Right. >> Yeah. So, for this test, I know you're in slippers. Those slippers >> kind of >> a little cold. >> You can do it barefoot. You can don't don't start yet. Okay, hun. >> You can do it barefoot or you can do it in those slippers. It's up to you. >> Next up is the one leg stand. And almost immediately, her performance takes a turn for the worse. >> Good. >> Okay. >> Good. >> You have any questions about it? Yeah. How many layers do you have on? >> It's not about the test. It's not pertinent to the test. >> No, it's not. But I'm cold. >> All right. So when are you ready? I will say begin. You will raise your foot. Do you understand? >> Ready? Begin. >> Hands to your side. I'm sorry. I'm cold. >> Raise your foot. >> I'm cold. I'm cold. I am freezing. It is snowing bad. >> I have a ride coming. I just I'm cold. I'm sorry. >> Go ahead and stop. >> Let me come over here. >> Can I put this down? >> No. Stand right here for me. >> Oh, my window's knocked. Stand at the front of my car. Stand at the front of my car. Yeah, I am. >> You're on the side. There you go. >> I'm sorry. Hello. >> You didn't say you can answer the phone. >> I'm sorry. You didn't say I can answer the phone. I'm sorry. >> You hang up. >> I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. >> Okay. So, what this is, this is a preliminary breath test and I ask you to give me a breath sample. Would you blow under that for me at this time? You don't want to do that for me? >> No. Without a warrant. >> Okay. Go ahead. Put your hands behind your back. >> Nope. >> No. >> You're under arrest. You are under arrest. >> Put your hands behind your back. We're not doing that. Okay. You're under arrest for driving under them. It's alcohol. >> You can just go right over there. >> I'm not fighting you. >> Uh, no. You were. You're resisting. You said no and crossed your arms. >> Okay. But then you tense up. >> I'm not tense up. >> Do you understand you're under arrest at this time? >> I guess. >> Okay. Blaming the cold, she tries to justify her shaky stance, but the officers remain unconvinced. They've watched enough of these tests to know when something is just an excuse. >> What's that? >> Yes, please. >> Painless with my slippers. >> You failed all three tests. >> Okay, come back over here. Grab your phone. >> I'll grab No, because it's getting taken. >> Uh, no, it's not. >> It is. >> Separate your feet for me, please, ma'am. >> No. >> Okay. Where is a police officer? No. No. You cannot search me. >> Ma'am, stop. You're going to be charged with resisting if you resist our search. >> You cannot touch me without a female officer. >> Okay, we can unfortunately. What's this? >> Yes, it is. >> Got a little bit of >> a little bit on this side for me. >> Okay. Thank you. I'm just going to hand you everything for my for now. >> Yep. That is my high spot. >> What's this thing? >> That's my high spot for my phone. >> Okay. >> He just said that. >> I don't know what he's talking about over in his pocket. >> There's only two pockets y'all getting in. What? What do you mean? What other pockets? >> This $5 that's going to go back in your pocket. >> Oh, no. That was like >> He got all my other money. Let's not hide it now. is actually that dollar bill back so we can throw that dollar bill in here. Okay. >> Just make sure there's nothing wrapped up in that money seat. >> There's nothing wrapped up in that money. >> Would you like me to take my pants off? >> I'm not. >> You're you're you are kind of shaking pretty. >> Go ahead. Go ahead. I ain't got no bra on. Like I already told you that. You go on your side. >> You know in Iowa that there there's not supposed to be a search without >> Have a seat for me, ma'am. >> Okay. And take her property, please. >> A bag. >> If you have one, that'd be fantastic. >> Beautiful. >> The case wraps up with a woman facing a DUI charge. Number one. Man thought his status could get him out of a DUI. It didn't. Closing out today's video, officers in Maplewood, New Jersey, responded to a tip about an alleged Flight Club executive who may be driving drunk. Officers were quick to track down the suspect's vehicle and immediately conducted a traffic stop. Here's how the situation played out. Roll your window down, please, sir. How's it going today? >> How you doing? >> Good. Good. Uh, we got a call uh from somebody. They were concerned that you were uh intoxicated and behind the wheel. You've been drinking at all? >> No, not at all. >> Okay. What did you stuff behind the seats as I walked up? >> I'm sorry. >> Would you stuff behind the seats as I was knocking on the window? >> Um, nothing at all. >> You didn't reach behind your seats? >> No, not at all. >> You Okay. All right. Step out of the vehicle, sir. Yes, sir. I'm pulling up. >> Is that 419's coming? Is he responding to? >> I think 419's coming. Yeah. What was that? >> Okay. >> Yankee 35 Lima Bravo Fox. Do me a walk over here real quick, sir. >> 2021 BMW 430 twodoor blue or black. >> Okay. Here, sir. Walk over here. >> Yeah. >> Anyone watching can see that the suspect is struggling to walk and keep his balance, but procedure means the officers still need to verify the claims before coming up with a decision. >> Are you feeling okay today? >> I'm sorry. >> Are you feeling okay today? >> Am I feeling okay? >> Yes. >> Yeah, I'm fine. >> Yeah. Okay. All right. All right. No, cuz I'm sure my sergeant just advised you that we got a call today that someone I guess said that you were possibly driving uh under the influence. So, we're just trying to rule that out and make sure that you're okay to drive. >> I'm sorry. You said somebody said that >> someone called in claiming that you were driving under the influence of an intoxicating liquor substance. >> I literally just got off work. >> So, okay. All right. Where where did you come from? >> Uh can I can I show you? >> No, no, you can just tell me where you where'd you come if you got off work. Where did you come from? >> I work for Goat Group. Um >> Okay. I I I wouldn't be able to show you. >> Okay. >> Can I pause here? Oh, here. Hang on, sir. Hang on. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Going back to the car. >> Yeah. >> No, no, no. He I I didn't Sir, I didn't say you could go back to the car. I You can just tell me. You can explain it to me. >> I'm just going to show you. >> You can explain it to me. You don't have to show me anything. You can explain it. >> Yeah. So, I work for Go Group. Um Go Group >> where I'm not sure if you guys know what Go Group is. No. are a sneaker company. Um, we own Flight Club, we own Grails, and we also, um, we pretty much just authenticate shoes. >> Okay, that sounds cool. Okay. >> Um, I'm not sure if you ever heard about it, but >> No, I haven't. >> I'm not familiar, but uh, >> so listen to the officer, sir. >> Yeah, sir. What's your first name? >> My name is Fei. I actually Yeah, I actually live um on Carnegie Place. I can give you my ID. >> Okay. >> With his identification in hand, the officers run his details as the lead officer continues the sobriety test to determine whether the claims hold up. >> Yep. Thanks, Kevin. >> Here, Kevin, just leave here. Put your wallet right here for now and just take off your hat and put your hat on the uh on the uh or the tail end of the car. I'm going to leave your ID right here. You put your wallet down. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. Do Do you have any um physical or medical conditions? Uh meaning >> maybe that would prohibit you from performing a simple philosophy test. >> Um >> I don't think so. No. >> Okay. That's what we'll do for right now. We'll head off. >> You follow that officer, sir? >> Yeah. Right. >> He me. Okay. Let's walk over here. Okay. Here. I'll have you just stand right here and face me. Stand right, Femi, stand like this. Okay, but you're working in reverse. Okay. Okay. All right. Thanks, Fei. I appreciate your uh cooperation. >> All right. Do you wear any uh glasses or contacts? >> I wear I wear contacts. >> You have Do you have Do you have contacts in right now? >> I have contacts in right now. >> In right now. Okay. Very good. And then um right now, what I'm going to do is I'm going to do a uh standard field soiety test with you. So, just listen to my instructions. I'm going to explain everything to you. I'm going to demonstrate everything to you. All right? And then I just need you to follow along. Okay? >> Yeah. And then if you have May I ask what um what exactly warranted this? >> Okay. So based on the call that we got that someone believed that you were driving uh while under the influence of an intoxicating liquor or substance and then while I'm talking to you right now um you're you're moving kind of slow. You were when you're getting your ID out just now you were moving kind of slow. So those things are kind. Yeah. Just slow movement. So sometimes when people are under the influence of something they'll move a little bit slower than they normally would. Okay. So that's listen but simple. Um, like I told you, I'm going to try to rule out that you're not under the influence. So, I'm just going to go through the field test. >> I mean, I'm not, but I just >> Okay. >> After some convincing, the suspect agrees to take the field sobriety test, beginning with a horizontal gaze nestagmas exercise. Okay. All right. Very good. All right. For the next one, you're going to keep your legs together, arms down at your sides. All right. All right. Now, I'm going to get you into the starting position. Okay. So, we're going to use this white line right here. We're going to do the walk and turn test. I'm going to turn off to the side for me so you can see. Um, and I do have a better uh vantage point so you can see the test and I'm going to explain the instructions and demonstrate it to you. >> So, to begin, we're going to get in the starting position. So, you're going to put your left foot on the on the line. You're going to put your right foot directly in front of your left foot with your right heel touching your left foot. >> Yes. You're going to start with your left foot on the line. >> You're going to put your right foot directly. So you can do this now for me. Put your left foot on the line. Your left foot on the line. You're going to put your right foot directly in front of your left foot. Okay. Take a step back. Start again. Left foot. Right foot directly in front of your left foot with your right heel touching your left toes. Okay. So left foot in front of your right foot. Right foot in front of your left foot. I'm sorry. Sorry. Switch it up. So, right foot directly in front of your left foot. Okay. Arms down your side. Okay. Stay like that.
